TATASky Id [protected] . I had done a recharge of Rs 500 on 6Feb2011 which had been credited in my account properly( had bought this recharge voucher from vijay sales borivli on 6 Feb2011 ) . Then on 14Feb2011 TATASky debited Rs500 without any reason. On calls they accepted that this was a system mistake. Also they keep saying we will look into this matter. But even till today this money has not been credited back.

    Thursday, Feb 17: I booked for an additional connection. I choose the HD box costing me Rs 2599. I paid the amount on phone.
    Atul Verma told me that official max time to service this request is 48 hours but I will be getting a call next day morning.

    Friday, Feb 18: Trusting the words of Mr Atul, I took a leave from my office so that I can get the additional connection installed.
    The entire day I waited and also called TataSky helpline a few times to get a status update. Everytime, I was told that customer care, sales, and execution are different departments and the engineer will call me directly. The call center guys were clueless about the status.

    Saturday, Feb 19: I was dissapointed at wasting a complete day, trusting TataSky customer care personnel. Called back TataSky customer care to ensure I get it installed before the world cup begins, the very reason why I wanted to buy the additional connection. Mr Gaurav ensured me that I will get a call within 2 hours and it will be installed before the world cup begins. I kept on waiting...

    Sunday, Feb 20: Still waiting for some response from TataSky, I called back (remember, each time I call, it means a huge amount of time spent on waiting to get to talk to a real human being). I requested to talk to a senior and was connected to Aneesha (employee-id: 42995), supposedly a senior supervisor. I was once again assured that it will be taken care in next 24 hours.

      PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HORRIBLE AFTER EFFECTS OF BUYING ANYTHING NEW FROM TATASKY.

      I never loose my cool over small delays and genuine reasons and this is the reason I have never felt the need to come on this forum but this time it has exceeded all my patience levels.

      I made the mistake of reading a pamphlet from Vikram Mehra, the Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Sky dated 7th Feb 11 (who very conveniently chose to ignore a mail that I had sent to him subsquently highlighting my problem) and ordering a Tatasky+ HD on 12th Feb, paying through the IVR an amount 3999 vide ref no 1-[protected]. The new HD set top box was to be installed within 48 hrs or this order on 12 Feb at about 7:00 pm.

      I kept calling the number given to me[protected] everyday till on the 16th Feb when I got a new reference number from Jitendra 1-[protected] assuring me that my box would be installed in next 12 hrs.

      I spoke with Shilpa on 19th Feb. She said the system is down and she will call me back in 2 hours. Nothing happened.

      I again spoke with superviser Shyam on 19th Feb still complaining about this callous attitude. Again no action.

      Now I spoke with supervisor Raj on 19th evening with the same answer but this time he assuring me taht within 1 hour he will call me for sure and apologised for all the pains I had had to face uptill then.
      Raj did not call back.

      Surprisingly I got a call finally from the installation person on Sunday, 20th Feb at 6:30 pm while it was raining in Delhi and he offered to come right away for installation. I was not home and moreso it was raing quite hard so I asked him if he can come the next morning, 21st Feb. He agreed that he will be here at my house at 10:00 am and that I should be present when he comes.

      Today it has been 8 hours since morning that I have been waiting and no one has called or even turned up. I spoke with supervisor Naveen and he was supposed to call me back in 2 hours at 12:00 pm. It is 6 pm now and as expected now, he did not call.

      I must have called the help line number[protected] at least 6-7 times and everytime I have got a lame answer without anyone coming forward to actually resolve this.

      I honestly regret my decision to pay before hand and I sincerely hope that you all read this and try other alternatives instead of blindly following what their ad's are falsely claiming to do.

      Shame on you Tatasky customer service team and you are letting a lot of people turn away for this unprofessional behaviour.

      You will see this mail at every possible forum - I'll ensure this reaches to the maximum people.

        Hello Sir,

        Good Morning,

        I am one of the Tata Sky Customer Since 2007 to till date, Last 6 months i have been suffering from Tata-Sky Set Top box issues, Recentely i had changed the Set Top box some around 2 month Back, and i have also paid the 350 rupees against the new box, then I had observed the new set top box was very low & poor quality, in box there was lots of disadvantages, but still i had contineued with same, i remembered the same thing i told to your Engineer also.

        Today within 2 Months, the same problem persist, the set top box has power ON but only i can see the BANNER of all menu, there is no Pictures or sound come out. i had given the compaint 2 times and got response that we will be in touch with you today we do not have set top box available once we get we will replaced it, i would say if you people will not able to maintain your stock then how they can say about there fast services.....

        After 2 Day tata sky Engineer changed the Set Top Box and now i observed one new problem, i asked engineer, he said this is software problem, while changing the channel it has flashed with lots of dots & it may damage my TV, i had already paid whole year package & not getting good quality nor services, infact i was unable to see channel what they committed me...Please Do somthing good.......

        Dear sir/madam,

        Complaint no. 1-[protected]

        Please note that I applied for an add on connection of Tata sky (connection no [protected] . However since the tine of installation the set top box has not functioned properly. Also despite repeated reminders the problem has nit been addressed by Tata sky.

        Subsequently I requested withdrawal if services however the customer care executive told that the services on no ground will be withdrawn and I may choose to junk the apparatus.

        This is arm twisting which has left a very bad taste in my mouth.i feel completely helpless.

          My Tata Sky customer id is [protected]. On Jan 26, 2011 we called customer care to upgrade our digicomp to Tata Sky Plus for the purpose of recording TV Shows when required. We had to rush to doctor for my daughter was not feeling well and my parents where home when the Tata Sky engineer came to install the digicomp. To our shock we were given a HD connection instead of Plus. We had registered a complaint on Jan 29, 2011 (the same day within couple of hours of activation of HD Set). I got a resolution after fighting for more than a week on Feb 8, 2011 (after checking the recording of our call details when we ordered for Plus) saying that they would refund me the money back and an engineer would come and activate my old digicomp and take back the HD set, only after which wil I get my refund back. But till date, no engineer has visited my house for that purpose and I dont know when i'll get my money back. I dont know how I can take this further, as every time I call, I've to call the customer care and not the person who gave me the resolution. Every time I call, I have to tell the whole story. Can i file a case against them?

            i purchased a tata sky set top box on 18 feb 11..the assurance given by the dealer M/s Sree agencies (mobile no. [protected]) was that by 1100 hrs on 19 feb 11 the engineer would come and install the connection. Its been 72 hrs since then nobody from the company has contacted me or come for installation..on questioning the dealer he refuses to help saying now its my problem to get after the customer care of tata sky..I have made numerous calls to tata sky customer care but there has been response from their side..indeed very pathetic and discourteous service from tata sky..I would very strongly urge everyone not to subscribe for tata sky..I want a refund of my money and i want the tata sky to explain in writing for this delay in installation. Further i want action taken against the dealer for misleading customers...

            Tata Sky — substandard setup box and refusal to give back subscription fees upon cancellation

            We bought tata sky in 2006. In mid 2007 set up box stoped responding (hanged).this was replaced by another set up box and mine was taken away. but within few days again same problem occured withthe replaced one.BY NOVEMBER-07 they replaced 3 setup box(not brand new ones).Now iam having the 4th one which is hung for past72 hrs.The no. of replacement shows thier substandered product and the repair .This time they are saying since the replaced setbox warranty is only for 3 months we have to pay Rs600 and can take AMC for Rs500.
            We felt betrayed because none of this information was given to us before.This company is hiding the recurring costs from the customer. When we wrote to their helpdesk for the cancellation of subscription they are refusing to pay the amount of Rs1000+ which is there in our tata sky account(we had recharged withRs2500 voucher in NOV-07) .

            tata sky satellite tv — Lousy services of Tata Sky in Delhi Tata

            I am a Tata Sky subscriber . Their services are extremely losy, no services in fact . If the picture quality goes bad, you can not even make a complaint as they put you on hold and listen to their promos indefinitely . this happened all the times I called them, at least 10 times . I kept incurring STD charges . I was to get a free showcase, but it never was credited . I had to order a showcase, but since nobody lifted the phone than the computerized promo, I gave up the dea . I am in a fix.
            We have been calling Tata sky helpline since one week and they are making fool o[censored]s. The system is out of order for about 7 days. No satisfactory reply is given. There is poor/no service of tata sky. We are still under the guarantee period. They haraff consumer. There behavior is rude and non- cooperative. There inaction has caused us great mental agony. Action be taken Tata sky for not giving proper service. Damages of rs20, 000 may be ordered.

            I think you ought to mention here the harassment the existing customers are undergoing, who wish to recharge their account. None of the TATA sky contact numbers are available and perpetually engaged since yesterday. Even their website is very slow. My connection will be terminated tomorrow (due date), but I am helpless as there is not even a single e-mail ID or telephone number where I can call and vent out my frustration built over the last 2 days. Extremely poor service by a company belonging to the world's most reputed group.

            Tata Sky — FORCIBLY TAKEN AWAY MY MONEY

            With a Grate Admirer of JRD, I got in to the TATA Sky trap recently. I made a subscription to TATA SKY and over promptly paid the money in advance for Set up Box and installation. Then the nightmare started. Though I was promised two months free subscription, the a/c got deactivated within 2 days of installation for the sole reason that I had not recharged the Coupon which was never provided to me. Even the delivery of the set up box and the installation is not even worth mentioning here... Our road side Cable Wala is most reliable than all these hi-fi professional goondas.

            Tata Sky — Problem with Installation and Customer Care

            I am attaching all the applications written to TATA Sky about the problems I faced. You can better judge the rest.

            Dear Sir,
            We had credited Rs. 2499 on[protected] for Tata Sky connection after calling your customer care helpline at Chandigarh. It was promised by your executive that SetTop box will be delivered on[protected] & connection will be installed within 72 hours of booking time i.e. buy[protected].

            Anyhow neither we got the Box nor connection is installed even after lapsing of 72 hours. In the meantime we made calls on your helpline 3 times from Mobile.

            I had very good impression of TATA from very childhood but found in this case that TATA is also making false promises as marketing tool.

            Dominos is better than tata who promise for 30 minute delivery or free Pizza.

            But TATA should be above Dominos but here prospective customers are made to suffer monetary & emotionally regarding faith in a group like TATA.

            As you have not fulfilled promise due to inefficiency of your staff/management I want to know that how would you compensate customer.

            That I requested for TATA Sky details on[protected] & got the brochure on my e-mail address on the same day.

            That we enquired from your helpline Number regarding installation of TATA Sky on[protected] evening.

            That we were told that after crediting Rs. 2499/- through credit card, we will get hardware within 24 hours & fully functional installation within 72 hours from time of payment & also told that one month subscription will be free & further told that if we give coupon code (Refer a friend) additional 1 month subscription shall be added to our & friends A/C.

            Believing TATA reputation we paid Rs. 2499/- on[protected] around 7 PM through credit card on Thursday.

            That when we did not get delivery of hardware in 24 hours, we made calls on your helpline to get reply that installation will be fully functional in 72 hours i.e. by 6:45 PM on[protected].

            That when we did not got even hardware by 8 PM on[protected] we made calls on your helpline No’s but did not get satisfactory reply for delay. Instead excuses / interpretation of 72 hours accordingly to your convience which is an act of befooling by your call center workers.

            That your delivery man came on[protected] at 8 PM with hardware which we refused as installation will be further delayed by 5-7 days as per Gurpreet (your call center worker).

            Sensing troubles in after sales service which will be most painful because of Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and non-working hours and above all inefficient staff.


            It is further requested to kindly refund Rs. 2499/- immediately as you have failed to comply with promise of installation within 72 hours, as commited/promised and even after 120 hours of registration i.e. 3 working days of Friday, Monday and Tuesday as was interpreted by your call center employee Ms. Jasmine and Gurpreet.

            Hoping for immediate refund in 15 days to avoid legal consequences.

            I am a customer of tatasky for last one & half years. Id is [protected]. I have complaint about poor video quality of tatasky. The personnel came from tatasky, and said that the dish has become dirty and has to be cleaned to get good reception. They didnot clean the dish. One fine day i see that my account has been deducted Rs 300 from my online account for paid service visit. They have only suggested to clean and the charges are 300. At least when u r charging the money, do some meaningful job, not just minting the money. Who will clean the dish when u r charging Rs 300 for the service?
            Why to waste your time & money in E-mails & telephone calls any more? You have already waisted your money by purchasing Tata Sky. They will never reply your mail. They will never register your complaint in warranty period. They always try to stretch your complaint till warranty expiry. Only solution: Just throw it away, forget what has happened & get some other alternative. I think, one time pain is better than permanent tension.

            tata sky / satellite television — poor service - 7 days no installation

            Hi,

            1. 7 days and till today tatasky has not been installed to our place.
            2. Person came to our place to install the product (Pradeep ); after a long time, is highly unprofessional in language.
            3. Number of time complaint has been registered at custome care but still no result has came up. majority of times they cut the call without listening to the problem.
            4. No complaint section in web site, neither any e-mail address has been given to the customer where we can mention our problems.

            Please suggest what should we do to the dump box at my place which is of no use for me !! Highly disappointed with the services.

            tata sky satellite T.V. — ineffecient service

            We purchased Tata sky on january 2008. From last 15 days its not working, may be due to some hardware problem. we informed tata sky helpdesk several times. everytime we were assured to get service within next 6 hours but still no one has attended our complaint yet.
            I have ordered for new Tata Sky connection on 9th Nov 08 and made full payment with a promise that the same will be installed same day. I was informed at 3 P. m that the installation will be done next day at 2 pm. There was no positive support received from help desk when called (complain no[protected].

            Next day the engineer reached and insatalled the antena and done the required cabling however the set top box was not yet delivered which according to engineer was supposed to be delivered directly to our address.

            The same not yet receved and no one from tata sky helpdesk is able to resolve the query as where the box gone???

            I have never experience such a poor /useless support from any of the helpdesk as despite of spending approx 60 mins on local/std; no one given any clear cut answer.

            The deliver is in the hand of god now if I am fortunate...

            I had reqested the service provider on 28 1 09 to add on spgo pack( NEO spors & Neo Cricket). Since i have multiroom connection (!+3), this service was provided only on one TV set. When I complained in this regard on phone[protected] on 31 1 09, I was informed to ring after two hrs. Even they would not take my complaint, When I rang this number after about three hours, the same reply was given. In fact the operator sounded rather rude.In view of this bad experience, I would rather not opt for this SPGO pack. PL do the needful by deleting the SPGO pack from my account.
            I have had a couple of encounters with their customer care and everytime they have been very helpful and resorceful. U cant base your opinion just on one bad encounter, i[censored] had tried to speak to someone else your matter will be taken care of.
            I am using tata sky for nearly 2 years for now and everytime i got in touch with their customer care have been received well and got my issues fixed ..

            TATA/TATA sky satellite television — Customer`s harasment by non responce.

            Yesterday I have purchased TATA sky satellite televion from Hariom Electricals at Khalapur-Raigad(Maharashtra) only on assurance that the same to be installed within 12 hours but as a employ of TATA since 10 years 1st time I have faced failure of commitment from TATA company`s representative.
            Very much upsate as the telephonic talk with agency to TATA sky assured me that today in between 5.00PM To 7.00 Pm they will deffinetly installe the same but as on it is not happened.

            You are requested to take very serious action against such service providers.

            Hi I have following issue with tata sky
            1. Tata Sky provide very easy option to add package but want us to call for unsubscribibg any of the package.
            2. Calling tata sky number is pathetic, as threr representative will available only after 10-15 min you hold the call.
            3. You do not have any option to register any complaints to tatasky...

            OVERALL PATHETIC SERVICE WHEN IT WANT TO UNSUBSCRIBE...
            First, you can just call them and drop the package. Second, you must have call during rush time. Mostly it takes very little time. Also, there does exist an option to drop a mail to customer services for any problem.

            Tata Sky — POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND NO RESPONSE FROM SENIORS OF CALL CENTERS

            Hi,
            I have shifted from Bangalore to mumbai and my customer Id is [protected], after shifting well in advance i had told tatasky customer care that please make the necessary arrangements to relocate my dish and i was told that it will be charged 300/- for which i paid. After coming to mumbai i have given around 25 calls waiting for 30 mts a call and i use to get the answer our engineers will assist you. when the engineer came to my house to fix the dish they said since my house window is west facing it cannot be placed and asked me to place it on apartment top, where the co-operative peoples are objecting. When i called up customer care they told me that they will refund my money since it is not working. The above things are happening to me from 1st week of April till date and there is absolutely no response. Can any one help me out regarding the after sales services given by TATASKY. It is just making customers fools..

            Tata Sky — poor picture quality in most channels

            I am a subsriber having ID [protected]. For last 10 days I am not getting proper quality of pictures and sound in most of the channel.I have already complained to your Bhubaneswar office located at CRP square personally but nobody has attended it sofar.             Unfortunately i am also a tatasky subscriber. i installed my tatasky when it was launched, and i installed it because our cable guy never attented to our complaints and the transmission was also very poor.I prefer more of malayalam channels and the cable guy hardly gave us 2-3 channels.that prompted me to go for tatasky (a big mistake). intially they gave 3-4 malayalam channels and promised to increase the channels in the coming months, and should say they added 2-3 channels more to the list. now came the package gimmick... i have opted for a south jumbo pack, coz if i need all the malayalam channels the i need to take that pack.if i go for south starter pack then i won't get any other hindi or english channels.then if i go for south saver pack, there again i get those channels which i hardly like to watch.(zee, star channels not available) they smartly made the packs in such a way that u have to go for the complete pack.And its been more than 1 year they have added any malayalam channels, when other dths aregiving more than what tatasky is providing.
            initally they had promised for some radio service also, but i haven't seen any radio service.
            it is very clear, tatasky is fooling the coustomers.

            According to dish networking the transponders have to face the satellite so it has to be facing the proper direction and this is applicable to all DTH providers. The customercare are very helpful you will have to just keep following up and take their case no. provided. My friend too discontinued his service since he was shifting but did not face any such problem like that.
            In no website of Tata Sky or even its parent organsation Tata Son is a postal address or e-mail ID provided to enable anyone wanting to contact them.

            I HAVE PAID FOR RECHARGE ON AUGUST 26 AROUND 11 AM AND EVEN AT 8 PM ON AUGUST 28 (TODAY) T HE ALERTON THE SCREEN SHOWS THAT THE RECHARGE HAS NOT BEEN MADE AND THE ADD ON CHANNELS PAID FOR HAVE BEEN BLOCKED. THE DISTRIBUTER TO WHOM THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE SAYS THE AMOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN DEDUCTED FROM HIS ACCOUNT AND THAT NO RESPONSIBLE PERSON IS AVAILABLE TO REPLY WHY THE RECHARGE WAS NOT DONE. HE SAYS HE COULD TALK ONLY TO A CALL CENTRE WHERE NO ONE ANSWERS AS TO WHY THERE IS THIS DELAY.

            MY EXPERIENCE, AS A SUBSCRIBER, IS THE SAME. THE HELPLINE NUMBER CONNECTS TO A CALL CENTRE MAKING YOU SPEND HOURS PRESSING BUTTONS FOR VARIOUS SERVICES,
            PAYING FOR THE MOBILE CHARGESWHILE, ULTIMATELY, THERE IS NO RESULT AND THE COMPLAINT GOES UNATTENDED.

            I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH TATA AIG. BOTH t-a AND t-s TALK VERY SWEETLY AND POLITELY TILL THE PAYMENT IS IN THEIR HANDS. AFTER THAT ALL YOU GET TO TALK TO ARE TAPERECORDED VOICES OR CALL CENTRE STAFF GIVING FALSE NAMES AND PROMISING ACTION WHICH IS NEVER TAKEN.

            Tata Sky — Extra money taken for the set up box

            The Tata Sky dish Tv along with the set up box costs Rs.1499.But the dealer took Rs.1500 from me. Now what should I do against them

            You have paid the dealer of Tata Sky Rs.1500/ but did you ask him to return the balance amount? that could be the reason. If you have then you need to provide dealer details.
            I had a problem regard TATASKY's DTH service.My setop box was not receiving signal(Whenever i switched it on,it displayed NO SIGNAL).
            I complained about this on 29/8/2010 and was told they will send an engineer in 48 hours.After 2 days they said i haven't complained at all so i registered a fresh complain and was told an engineer would be sent in 48 hours.This time i also received an sms saying the engineer would come at 5:30 on 5/9/10,When i called up the engineer he said the date was 6/9/10.I was annoyed but then there was no other option then to wait.

            Even after so many days,the next day i.e. 6/9/10 ,the engineer shamelessly said he can't come because it was too late for him to come(he was suppose to come at 5:30.I called him up at 6 and he says "its too late sir")

            My patience broke and i called up the customer and yelled at them.After this the actually send an engineer.

            The problem is solved but this is really poor service and really poor response.If the had to come so late they could have mentioned but they kept on delaying it and kept giving silly excuses.This is REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND BAD BEHAVIOR.

            I'm really upset and i feel that i took a really wrong decision by choosing TATASKY for DTH services.After being a customer since 2008 i get such response and this was not for the first time it has happened before also.

            TATA TO - TATA SKY (SHAME ON DTH ) — NO REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY SET OF BOX

            I took TATA SKY dish and set of Box .After three months set of box was not working .
            I called to TATA SKY call center for four weeks still no action taken just vacuous assurances were given .They didn't replace my set of box till date .
            TATA SKY is very slow in sorting out such matters .
            So please DONOT take TATA SKY connection ..if there comes any glitch there is no body to help you out .

            Consumer forum and Consumer court are just Sham in India.These courts sucks .What is use of getting justice for 2000 RS DISH when I will be as ghost on this earth .

            Small consumer like us can not take any action due to tardy lazy , good for nothing justice system of India .They can just call to from call center .

            Better solution throw the set of Box out of house and purchase another from of course from another company.
            In case of consumer interests actually INDIA country itself sucks .Bogus and hopeless.

            This company takes two hours to install new connection. But for solving customer complaint they are not bothered.

            I would rather suggest the senior management of this company to make their executives fight elections as they are only good at expressing sympathy and giving revised commitments.

            I logged in a complaint on 4th of October and they assured that the engineer will visit by 2 pm, then revised it for 4 pm and 7 pm so on....

            On 5th again said that someone will visit max by 4 pm.

            Surprisingly when i followed up with the call centre again they said that the service team has allready closed this complaint -WHERE IN NO BODY HAS BOTHERED TO VISIT OR CALL.
            Executive again asked for the apology and said i am logging new complaint

            On 6th they said that against WO no1-[protected], some one will visit by 5 pm

            7nth they tried to connect me to their senior and after keeping me hold for 10 min twice they said that he is going to call me.

            I recvd a call at 6:30 and was given assurance by 7:30 this is going to get sorted out.

            I again called them up at 9:30, they asked me sir plz give us one more day.

            On 8th today they said sir system is down, plz call us after half an hour.

            Moral of the story : These guys are useless and they should be banned from business if they do not value customers time.

            If company is interested to know the names of all the executives, i can provide.

            Would like to get rid of this type of experience.

            Tatasky DTH Service — No service engineer visited even after 6 days of complaint

            I have a TATASKY connection for 2 yrs. I have complained for no signal on 8th Nov (Ref Id: 1-[protected]). After that I got a SMS on 10th Nov saying service engineer will visit on 11th Nov. I have constantly tracked this issue with TATASKY helpline, service center and their website. But no action has been taken yet. It takes lots of effort to their line. After that they promise to send engineer on the same day, but after that nothing happens. I am without TV signal for last 6 days. How they can provide such a bad customer support? Is there any way to get justice for this?

            I have complaint non functioning of TATA Sky Digi Box and there is no response received in spite of more than 24 hours expired, also my account is getting debited for last two days for no services .

            I had purchased one TATA SKY digicomp no.[protected] on 5th Novemder 2010 from its dealer NEXUS ELECTRONICS (Mr. Nitin Jain), Ludhiana and it was said in next 72 hours of working days the equipment dish would be installed at my home but failed to fulfil the said words, after several reminders or telephonic conversation with Mr. Nitin and Mr. Ravi (Engineer for TATA SKY services from the region) no positive responses from both, representative of TATA SKY committed that dish must be installed by 12th November but today i.e 15th November he asked me for more times as stocks has been finished.

            Very poor services given by prestigious/reputed TATA SKY moreover the customer care number for northen India i.e[protected] is not working from last fifteen days.

            Tata Sky — After purchasing and making payment, Not a single call from company side.

            I have purchased Tata sky online on 10th Nov. 2010. And today is 15th of Nov. I have not got a single call from Tata sky side for installation or anything. When I call their call center, every time I get feed back that within 24 they will call me. It never happens.
            I have Tata Sky Satellite TV running in 2 Televisions, under Sub. ID [protected]. In one of the Television, Channels such as Sun TV, Star Vijay and some others were having lot of disturbance. I called Tata Sky on 6th Nov'10, tried out their telephonic support and it did not work. I logged a complaint (Ticket Number [protected]) on 7th November. The auto-response SMS said it will be attended by 4 pm on 7th November. No one came. Meanwhile, we saw one Tata Sky Technician coming to another apartment in the same building few days later and requested him to come and check out in our house also. He promised to come, but did not turn up. I was assuming that this complaint ticket is still Open in their system, because the problem still persists.

            Today (17th Nov), I called Tata Sky again and they informed me that the Ticket Number [protected] has been closed by them on 10th Nov itself. When I enquired why, they said that the problem has been resolved by their Remote Support Technical Support Team. They did not check with me.

            I today checked the channels which had problems. Now it has become worse - the message says "There is no subscription for this channel". They have in fact cut off the subscription to all the channels which were giving problems and closed the trouble ticket. This is gross cheating of the consumer and I demand an expnanation and compensation from Tata Sky. I have now logged a fresh complaint (Ticket Number [protected]) today and am hoping that someone comes and resolves the problem. I have the Mega Pack Subscription on both my Televisions, which means I am paying subscription for all channels on both TVs. This is the treatment I get from Tata Sky. I shudder to think of what other subscribers (who have subscribed for fewer channels get).

            Tata Sky — No service support on signal issue / discontinuation of service

            Dear Sir,

            I am residing in Sher-e-punjab, Andheri (E) in Plot no.207, flat no.202. Since 27th Nov, am not getting Tata Sky channels service. Have made domestic calls around 8 times to them & international calls from London around 5 times, yet no engineer has been sent to look into the issue. This is after we have taken an extended warranty offer!
            Kindly look into the concern, we were promised SLA of 24-48 hours & TATA guarantee when we had opted for this. Till date, 4th Dec, 2010, no service support has been extended even after repeated follow-ups from our end.
            We are extremely frustrated and really hope that you caould help us.

            Tata Sky — Delay in replacement of setup box

            Disturbed with your customer care services and technical services.
            I have been suffering from the message of ERROR 2 in my set up dgcomm since 30th August and when i called at the service centre, they said they would get it changed by the next day i.e 31st August. One of their engineer did come up to take a note of the error but didn't get it replaced. He didn't have his I.D. He didn't even know about office branches in Delhi and helpline numbers.

            Next day i.e.1st Sept i called up again in your centre and had a talk with Miss Meera. She said that she would call back in 2 hrs but she didn't. And today alsoi.e.3rd Sept the same answer was given by Mr. Mahender Singh.

            I also came to know that there are no set ups available at Vikas Puri centre since last 8 days.
            The irresponsible behaviour of the company employees has forced me to file this complaint. Please do some needful to get our set up box replaced as soon as possible.
            I have a Tata Sky HD connection for more than a year. For the past two weeks, the tatasky Digicom box has been faulty . They had sent a technician on visit who just took out the wire connections and set them back saying that there were dust particles. This visit Costs Rs 125.The problem still continues and the customer care executives just do not care-nor hep me fix this problem . My complaint was escalated and the senior executive offer me a (repaired- pre used)digicom box.
            They do not employ the right talents. The customer car/Senior executives just do not bother about losing customers. All they want is more focus on sales.
            I am a subscriber since the last 2 years. The interface and the picture quality are good. But channel count right from the start is low. More so for Malayalam channels. When compared with any of the other 5 other DTH operators they are more costly and channels offered are also lower in number. The make my pack is also a big gimmick. When required channels are selected the subscriber ends up paying more that a bigger pack. Another major grouse is that if one does not want any channel, they would naturally get blank screens with promotional messages, this screen cannot be skipped. This can be easily done by the DTH operator if they want but they want to sell all channels by constantly reminding the customer that they have not subscribed to those channels. Tata sky is working on MPEG2 technology because of which they are severely limited to provide any new channels on limited bandwidth. Newer DTH operators (four) are offering MPEG4 based set top boxes and MPEG4 service by which they can provide more channels with the same bandwidth. TATA Sky has perhaps realised this and the new boxes are MPEG4 compatible but their service is only MPEG2 compatible as of now. Older boxes in Silver colour were only MPEG2 compatible but newer Black colored set top box are MPEG2 + MPEG4 compatible. With the poor service provided they should at least stop fleecing the customer, instead charge us premium charges for their poor service. Maybe we have to pay for the Superstar advertisement appearing fee also ! (for their TV advert through our monthly subscription) I would seriously recommend all to stay away from this lousy service and make their life Jigalala.

            As an annual mega pack holder of TATA SKY, I faced a lot of frustration in last 2 months. My advice is not to purchase annual mega pack. Bcoz, they do not have any policy to refund your balance money weather you are satisfied with the service or not. You would be bound to use TATA SKY until your money get utilized. In maximum case they close complaints without attending them. I spent almost Rs.500/- in mobile for registering complaints & talking to their service boys in last 2 months. Mental harassment it extra. I am fed up with their false promises & poor service. I am not able watch HD channels properly after paying for a whole year in advance. Set top requires 3-4 times ON/OFF to start. Also, it boots from start whenever I select HD channel, in most cases. But their service boys do not find any problem in it. They don't even bother to listen about the problems.
            So, beware of TATA SKY & think twice before recharge.

            I have been a TATA SKY user from 2007 at different places (Kasauli, Gwalior, Jammu and now, Kottayam). The dish here was installed at the highest point of a 10 storied building (I was told, wrongly, by the technician installing the dish in 2012 that lightening was not an issue). On 29 April, during a thunder shower, my TV, Home Theater and Tata Sky set top box all got damaged. I have replaced the TV at a cost of Rs 35, 000/- and the Home Theater is awaiting repairs. Tata Sky is supposed to replace my set top box as per the package I have subscribed to and it has been 16 days now. I have contacted their help line telephonically and via web chat to be promised immediate action (by Tuesday, by 1030 on Wednesday), but they just don't seem to have equipment on ground. Wonder if I should look for another dish based YV service. Thank goodness for competition!
            The tatasky technician replaced the set top box at 1300 hours today, but I as of now at 1800 hours I do not have a signal. On contacting tataskt webchat the conversation I had with them is reproduced below:

              i told them for what i should give them as i suffered for 15 days after paying and no service they provide then they went away...without asking anything else...

              i am near by ooty in tamil nadu and i have tatasky connection in gujarat and their service is very good but why not here?

              are they lazypeople and want to robe people?

              Since last one month i am unable to view any channels through my tata sky connection, and this problem has been raised with customer care of tata sky almost 5-6 times and they have keep on telling that they will be sending a technician or i will get a call from tata sky with 30min it's been one month i am unable to view any channels except star sports.
              There has been a continuous problem for over a week over breaking of signals. I lodged a complain on 27th April 2015. I also told your employee that both are working members hence somebody should call at around 10am and fixed the time of visit for 28th April 2015 and the same was confirmed also. Nobody called, I waited till 2pm and left. Today 28th April 2015 I called again to know the status and I was told the meeting has been confirmed for 29th April 2015 at 2pm. How can you service your subscribers when they are at work, timings are set on your own whims without even discussing with me whether there will be anybody at home or not. If I delay to pay money for the service you de - bar my service immediately. WHILE YOU TAKE ADVANCE MONEY FROM US AND FALTER IN PROVIDING YOUR SERVICE. Don't you think that is fleecing from a company like TATA.
              Most pathetic services ever. Calling tata sky from 12pm and it's 9pm still issue not resolved. And every agent stays wait for half an hr. Have balance of 900 rupees and acc valid till 22 June still my account is deactivated. Bloody bull . Not expected from a brand like Tata. I am myself working in TcS

                I am a tata sky subscriber my subscriber ID No. [protected]. i have diposited 2200/- on my account through on line on dated 07/10/2010. i have subscribed only super value pack and colour channel.the total chrges of both packs is only 225+25=250/- per month.but he has given an offer that if we deposit for 6 month they will deduct only 1200/- Rs only. but today i checked my account and that was showing only 895/- Rs.only.

                  Their engineer came and visited only once and due to some challenges returned back and has not come back again.

                  It has since then taken so many calls to TATA Sky customer service numbers, where I have been put on hold and then disconnected. Yet, no one from TATA Sky has supported me or taken ownership in ensuring that my TATA Sky dish is installed at my new residence address.

                  To summarize my complaint is on the following points -
                  1. No ownership to support customer in installation of TATA Sky at new residence
                  2. No proper customer service
                  3. Delay in response and numerous phone calls of which I have incurred all the expense
                  4. Long wait hours to speak to some one and everytime to repeat my problem
                  5. Even though telephone conversation record states that TATA Sky is not installed, my account is debited of the amount balance in my account.
                  6. No availability of any senior official inspite of requesting numerous times.

                  Please support in my above problem.

[protected].i complaint to tata sky help line number for digicom no signal problem and it was registered on date 16/02/2011 and i got sms by tatasky that your problem will solve with in 24 hours n u can contact our service engineer so n so number.But when 24 hours over then i contacted to service engineer mr.hardik foujdaar at bharuj ' jay refregaration'. that time he used so bad and rude behavior with me which i informed tata sky office and also by mail but i don.t think they will take any action against jay refregeration or mr,hardik if it is service system then hate this system and i justice.....

                          This may not be a complaint but a suggestion. Tata Sky logo whih comes at right bottom corner emboses over the score strip of ESPN/Star Sport/Star Cricket.

                          As this is a interesting season for cricket - World Cup starting from 19th Feb, this may be annoying for viewes. If Tata Sky can make some changes to give its viewers a good experience will be great.

                            I took connection of tata sky by paying Rs.1200 in last month. Within 40 days of the installation my Tata Aky stopped. When I called customer care they deputed one person to inspect. He told everythibg will be alright within 24 hours. Nothing happened so I called again and again and got same reply -- your problem will be resolved within 24 hours. Even after 120 hours my problem is still unresolved. They are saying that set top box is faulty and will have to be replaced. When??/? nobody knows again answer is same-- within 24 hours. MR TATA when your 24 hours are getting over? What about my loss of 6 days of subscription? When will you stop cheating poor Indians? Please Answer and dont give me your standard answer -- within 24 working hours

                              This is to inform you that i am using Tata Sky since 17th January 2011. I was using some optional packages and now i want to change them,but i was told by Tata Sky customer service team that there is a Locking Period of 90 days for the Optional Packages. This was not communicated to me at the time of purchase. Which clearly means that you people are providing Misleading and Falsifying Information to customers just to increase Revenue, which is not acceptable at all.

                              This clearly indicates poor Customer service and paints a very bad picture of Tata Sky as a company.

                              Request made to Tata Sky to address this matter remains unaddressed.

                                  I subscribed to the India Cricket Pack of Tata Sky DTH a month ago.

                                  When I called them up because they weren't airing the warm-up matches of the world-cup, I was told that only international matches (not series) of which India is a part will be telecast. I am shocked because I'd signed up for the package after reading their terms and conditions which claimed to air all the series matches in which Indian cricket team played on the channel.

                                  I hereby quote one of the terms and conditions on their website for this package which they have violated :

                                  The India Cricket Channel will continue to air the entire Cricket Matches series irrespective of India dropping out of the Cricket Matches series at any time. In the highly unlikely event that India is playing in another international cricket match after dropping out of the Cricket Matches series then such international cricket match will be given precedence and shall be shown on the India Cricket Channel instead of the remaining Cricket Matches series.

However, i subscribed to Hathway at Bangalore and they carry Peace TV in English. many time they disconnected and shouted them out for telling that we have QTV. Who the hell these are to tell what we should watch. the very next day, PeaceTV was back on air. It is simple criminal mentality. Mind it, Dr Zakir Naik does not sell Islam the way people sell on god TV etc. We may do well to install our own dish and watch all these free to air channels.                                         My Subscriber ID of tata sky is [protected]. We had ordered a movie through Showcase in Tata sky. Showcase is a service provided by tata sky where they allow users to watch recently released movies for a payment of Rs 50.
                                        Tata Sky claims to allow users to watch the movie for 24 days(announced verbally in the tatasky promotion services run throughout the day). In the Tata sky website they claim to allow users to watch the moview for which they have subscribed throughout the day.
                                        I had requested for a movie at 10:40 pm on 4th Feb 2011 and in the morning of 5th Feb 2011 when I checked I found that the access to watch movie was disabled. When I contacted the Tata sky customer service I was told that the service is provided midnight to midnight and as I had booked for the service at 10:40 pm, i would be able to view only the last telecast of the movie which isnt even the complete movie.
                                        In spite of repeated request, I was refused access to view the movie without a further payment of Rs 50, and they refused to refund me the payment I had made.

                                        This is a case of gross misrepresentation and looting the consumers with false promises. I would request you to please help me recover my money and put a stop to tata sky cheating paying customers by misrepresenting facts.
