I have purchased a TATA Swatch water purifier just on 10.03.2011. But from 30/03/2011 the bulb of the purifier is not working. Water is not coming out through the bulb. I purchased the filter as it was from a very reputed company like TATA. . I would like to request the company to replace the Bulb urgently to keep good faith on them.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. If water does not flow from the bulb, kindly follow the below steps:

Kindly observe whether the Tata Swach bulb is fully filled with water or not. If not, Please remove the Mesh 2 from the Upper container and allow the air to escape from the Tata Swach bulb. In case the water does not flow, then follow the next step.

Remove the Mesh 3 from the bottom of the Tata Swach bulb and clean it with a soft brush by holding under running water. In case the water does not flow, then follow the next step.

Remove the Mesh 3 from the bottom of the Tata Swach bulb and clean the nozzle with a thin needle like object.

If the water still does not flow, then kindly hold the Tata Swach bulb under running water.

If none of the above works, please contact our customer care executives at[protected]. They will be glad to help you. Alternatively, you can also email your contact details at [protected]@tatachemicals.com.

    We have purchased tata filter bulb from Shree laxmi appliancesin dec 2010,
    After one bulb colour started changing to black and water smell was different than normal.

    at time of purchase there was nothing printed on bulb that is sr no, waranty etc,
    we shown it to shree laxmi appliances but they told out of waranty ,
    can't do any thing,

    he was telling same out of waranty

    Tata Swach — Product Malfunction

    I have purchased TATA Swatch product in the month of Sep 2010, as guaranteed the bulb has started malfunctioning and blocked before 3000 litres of pure water.Morover, I purchased another bulb costing Rs.300/- and the same is happening with your new buld as well. So I am very much shattered to have a response like this from your product.

    I want to file a complaint against the same and refund of my product.

        I have purchased a "Tata Swach Bulb" vide bill no 1125 dt 30th November 2010 from M/s. Bhawani Enterprises, Somwar Peth, Pune-11. From day-1, their has been problem & water does not flow freely. I contacted the proprietor for a replacement, however he denied & directed me to Tata Company Service Executive Mr. Vipin-[protected].
        Mr. Vipin telephonically advised various stunts, like dipping the Bulb in a bucket filled with water, using a needle to widen the outlet etc. But none of the same is sorting out the issue.
        I feel cheated & also doubt whether Tata the name associated with Quality provide such sub-standard products in the market. The bulb which had come with the original product too had similar problems.
        I demand an immediate replacement of the Bulb.

          I have purchased 4 tata swach machine from Shree NS Enterprises Kanpur but having poor performance / problem regularly.

            I purchased one Tata Swatch in month May,10, till date I changed two bulb, we observed following problem



            Every 2 or 3 days bulb block, then we pass air through bulb then it works.

            We also found many times only drop water flows from Bulb, because of this our drinking water requirement does not fulfill.

            Now we are very bad result from Tata swatch also response from Nashik officer.



            Pl. solve my problem if possible or we will not recommend Tata swatch to anybody.



            My brother use Pure whose result & maintenance cost much lower then Tata Swatch, then why should not I buy Pure for my home.

              This is Linus, i had got a new Tata Swatch water purifier on 29th Jan 2011 from a shop in J. B Nagar. My water purifier stopped working after 2 days from hence forth i have been calling the TATA sales executive Mr Arvind Singh to send the technician to my residence for servicing. My complaint was not taken serious and at last i had to again try calling them, Finally i succeed calling Sales Executive Mr Singh & fix an appointment with the technician for Tuesday 22nd Feb at 7:00 PM. The technician who was supposed to come for servicing Mr Vinod mishra at 7:00 PM did not turn up till 8:15 and when contacted to know his whereabout i was told that he is having his breakfast with one of his friend. After this i lost my head bcz i cancelled all my plans for the evening so that the servicing for the purifier can be done as i was unable to drink the tap water & i had to carry water from my office everyday for me. I started abusing the technician as it was his mistake he was supposed to come at 7:00 PM & it was 9:00 where there was no sign of him. Last when i spoke to Mr Arvind Singh at 9:14 PM and i asked him for his superiors name to take forward my complaint i was told sorry we cannot give you his name & ph no.

              My purifier is still not working. Please take my complaint into consideration as i have spend 1000/- for that purifier which worked only for 3 days & this is the way people have been harrased from the sales company & the technicians.

              Their office is located in Tata Chemicals Ltd, Ground Floor, Leela Business Park, Marol, Opp Leela Hotels Andheri (E). Sales Executive Mr Arvind Singh Ph No - [protected] * Technician No [protected].

              I would be really thankful if you can take this issue forward

                We bought Tata Swatch water purufier from SPAR HYPERMARKET, Mantri mall, Bangalore recently. The bulb is already non-functional now. The similar is the view of my friends who also purchased it recently.
                We trust the brand completely and there is no one for servicing. The call centre no is not responding at all.
                Rs.999/- drained in water purifier.

                  i have purchased tata swach on 11th july 2010 , but aftr 3 months it started problems like total blockage of water then after some days it started its work properly . but now i have the problem with it, that , it has some leakage from the connecting point o[censored]pper container and the bulb,so it allows the water to flow in lower container without purifying it.

                    Sub: Pest in Tata Swach Water Filter purchased from Croma outlet in Mega Mall.


                    Dear Sir/Madam


                    I had purchased Tata Swach Water Purifier from Croma.,Infiniti Retail
                    Limited, Unit No G-1 Mega Mall, Near Lokhandwala Complex, opposite,
                    Oshiwara Bus Depot, Goregaon West),Mumbai- 400102 on 24.03/2010 vide
                    Bill No. 14101. I was very sure that the Tata Brand name will live
                    upto its name and Quality. The unit was used by us for few months and
                    my wife suffered from severe pain in the stomach after drinking water
                    from the Swach water purifier. As she closely examined the Water
                    Purifier she found small Cockroches floating inside the Water
                    Purifier. We have incurred lot of Doctor/hospital expenditure for
                    treating her for the disease due to contaminated water.

                    We have stopped using the WATER PURIFIER as is not safe to drink water
                    from it. We visited Croma outlet and lodged the complaint about the
                    defective filter. I was told by Mr Jaison Thomas, Store Manager of
                    Croma to bring the unit for inspection to CROMA outlet in Mega Mall.
                    We have taken the Water Purifier and handed over to them for attending
                    it. The Cockroches were entering from the water purifier body, The
                    exact location of their entry was to be checked by their Engineer. We
                    can not use the Water purifier any more as the very purpose o[censored]sing a
                    Water Purifier is defeated if the pest and insects can enter inside
                    the body of purifier. The pests re-enter it, once we clean it and fill
                    the water in it, they float in the water tank. As I was not informed
                    about the progress in the matter, We visited again and Mr Thomas told
                    that the unit was checked by its engineers and Tata Chemical has
                    informed that they cannot help in this matter and they cannot do
                    anything about it. The water purifier is lying with Croma from October
                    2010 for repairs.

                    We have no faith in the utility of TATA SWACH Water
                    Purifier. We cannot drink the CONTAMINATED WATER by seeing the pest
                    floating in the water inside the Water purifier itself with our own
                    eyes. We had requested Croma to replace the unit or refund us our
                    money. The Croma representative told us to buy a new Tata Swach Bulb
                    for the Unit and the Water Purifier is not Pest Proof.

                    I fail to understand how Tata Swach Bulb replacement will
                    make the Water Purifier Pest Safe. This is serious matter as the
                    purifier purchased for Health safety is threatening us with diseases
                    like Jaundice, Cholera,Dysentery, E. Coli etc. This type of Cheap
                    products need to be banned from market. The tall claims made by mfg.
                    of water Purifier need to be checked by the Govt. The consumer need
                    to be protected by Govt. from such products which play with the Health
                    and life of peoples. I earnestly request in the interest of Consumers
                    and Citizens of this country to help us get justice as health of
                    Peoples is at great risk.

                        I am working at M/s Gharda Chemicals Limited, M I D C Dombivli (East). We have a Credit Society of employees. It is a practice to give a gift to all the members on the occasion of Diwali. Accordingly, this year the committee members decided to give your well know product i.e Water purifier (Tataswach purifier) to all the members as a Diwali gift (Member's contribution Rs.250/- & remaining from Credit Society).

                        The bulk order placed by our Credit Society, consignment of 400 water purifier was delivered at our above referred factory itself (Thane in Maharashtra).

                        The water purifier were distributed during the month of Nov' 2010.

                        The opening of the water purifier was done on the first day of diwali & all o[censored]s enjoyed safe drinking water which was made available from your well known product. Further, we were also happy to know that we would continue to enjoy safe drinkig water for a long time without any extra cost as one of the features of your product is that the replacement of water filter is required only after consmption of 3000 ltrs of water. Since, average per day consumption of water for a limited family of 4-5 persons is normally 10 ltrs, the water filter would need replacement only after 9 to 10 months.

                        However, I was very much disturbed to know that the functioning of the water purifier stopped immediately after about a month & indicator started showing a signal that the replacement of water filter is required. Further, I could not even get a positive feedback from your side (by way of trouble-shooting) while trying to get in touch on a toll free number [protected].

                        I've forwarded this mail to concern department, not yet attended by the company.

                        Kindly advice me what to do further.

                        I agree. I purchased tata wach hoping that it will provide pure drinking water for my family! I used to FURTHER FILTER mineral water that purchase from Market to maintain the input water as pure as possible! BUT after using hardly 1 week the flow of water stop ! What the company claims 3000 liters is a far cry ! So...

                          I have purchased a TATA Swatch water purifier just 80days ago. But from Monday, 24/01/2011 the bulb of the purifier is not working. Water is not coming out through the bulb. I purchased the filter as it was from a very reputed company like TATA. At the time of buying the purifier the dealer told that TATA people will visited my home to inspect that the purifier is working or not. But till date nobody visited from the company.                             I have purchased TATA SWACH before 8 months. It is observed that the quality of BULB is WORST. Because I had to replace the bulb 4 times. It gives black carbon water. So I opened the old bulb, it has only Carbon & one white material powder pack. This BULB is not SAFE as the Carbon powder can easily come out of the bulb. And due to this, we will get carbon water. The cost of Bulb is Rs.300/- which is not justified for Carbon powder only. I am very disappointed with this product.
                            I request to TATA to make the bulb carbon proof.

                              I have purchased water purifier on 28/10/10 , the very next day the purifier is leaking from lower flask, its actual capacity is 18lit but if i pour water more than 9 lit its starts leaking,, i dont belive company like TATA can do such FRAUD.. i have service warrenty but dealer refused to solve my issue,

                              I have purchased same 9+9 Litre Tata Swach on January 11, 2011.

                              I am also facing the same issue. When I fill the lower flask and upper flask, both ; lower flask starts leaking.

                              When Tata says, it has a capacity of 18 Litres, it should ACTUALLY be able to fill both the flasks ata time.

                              Call Centre Guys[protected], are very unattentive. They bhave same line : "You cannot fill both the flasks at a time".

                              If I do not receive a proper response, I am going to raise it to higher authorities and I will not hesitate to go to consumer forum well.

                                I had purchased Tata Swach Water purifier on 21.09.10 and at the time of purcahed I was informed by the dealer that I have to replace the bulb after 3000 Ltr water and this quantity can be varie subject to quality of water.

                                In this regards I wuold like to inform you that Bulb stopped working just after one month . I have small family with three members only and as per my calculation water consumtion should not be more than 500 Ltr through thios purifier. I request the concern to look in to the matter and take suitable action becasue spending Rs.300/- per month for purifying water is quit expensive.

                                I totally disagree Balbir. We have close to 15 Tata Swach in our society building..all bought during a promotional activity in a fair. I have not comeacross a single issue of the kind you are mentioning. I feel it is a gud enough product and none o[censored]s have yet replaced the kit even though it has almost been 3 months.

                                  Arre Mr. Rao..in 4 months how could you have used only 1000 liters..were you using it only to cook vegetables??
                                  An average family of 4 will ideally consume around 10 litres of water for drinking alone per day. Add the cooking and washing of fruits and vegetables to that and it goes to 20 litres. In 4months this comes to around 2400 litres. And dont tell me you havent had any geusts in the 4 months at all

                                    I had purchased tata swach filter on 8th August 2010, howere the filter / bulb got jammed within 15-20 days.had shown the filter to the dealer, M/s Mayur Emporium, holland house, jawala heri market, paschim vihar. but they returned the filter/ bulb the next day stating this is working fine, after fitting the bulb, we filled the filter with water, not even a single drop of water was droped in the lower storage tank,

                                    i had bought the Tata Swach considering the big brand, & considering that the TATA is pro-consumer, i think i failed my test.

                                    I also have similar experience.I had purchase smae model in Rs 999/- on 28/08/2010.After 7 days water was not flowing .Their technician visited after several phone call.Initially he said BULB is on chargebale basisi.After several phone call with delaer in Pune-Balaji Enterprises he has given number of TATA, S senior person.

                                    After two weeks again the situtaion is that BULB IS NOT AVAILABLE & IT IS EXPECTED TOMORROW.

                                    I WOULD ADVICE PLEASE DON NOT GO WITH THE BRAND NAME.PLEASE CHECK THE PERFORMANCE REPORT OF ANY PRODUCT.

                                    I have sent mail on theri email id which is provided on catlougue today.

                                    Hope I will get BULB on tomorrow otherwise I have to Scrap that filter which is of no use.

                                    Worst TATA product i have ever used...

                                    I purchased Tata Swach Purifier in the month of August and within a month it stopped filtering the water. The filter was filled with black color particles which i suppose is the carbon particles used in the filer. After several complaints finally they agreed to change the filter but said currently Tata is researching on the filter and will change them as soon as it is re-launched. Believe me its more than a month now and there is no response so far from any one.
                                    This is the WORST TATA PRODUCT i have ever used and i swear never to go by this brand again. By launching such a spurious product TATA is doing no good to its market reputation.
                                    If this problem isnt resolved in few day i haved to SCRAP the purifier.

                                    Please spread this message so that others are saved form this product.

                                    Yes the black particles did come out but that was when I had tried to fill water in the bulb whose life was over and then I tried taking the water out by shaking it vigorously upside down. Hope you guys havent been doing that..and then blaming the poor company!!!

                                    I had brought the Tata Swach Filter 2 months back
                                    Recently while cleaning the Bulb I noticed that there are black particles getting deposited at the bottom of the bulb
                                    I tried to cleaning it repeatedly with running water but to no luck. The particles remained. The bulb is a sealed unit so what can be done??
                                    Today the filtering has stopped completely

                                    If a product becomes useless in 2 months I seriously doubt about its claims and longevity.

                                    I have purchase Tata Swach 4 month back and now 1st and 2nd filter got damage, i tried everywhere but it not available. I tried Tata Swach helpline 3 times they had taken my address and mobile no. and told they will contact me. But after 1 month I m still waiting for their reply.
                                    Just my two cents here how the swach filter works.
                                    The water first goes into the filter through sidewall space and passes through a slit(red colored valve) placed at the side corner.You can see a plastic spring in a column. Once passed through the red valve, now the water travels bottom up through filter layers.Here the actual filtration happens. At the end of the filtration process water reaches top of the filter and then it comes down again through a vertical hollow column at the centre of the filter.The whole thing happens because of water pressure from the top water container. Mind that there is a charcoal layer at the end of the filtration process(i.e at the top of the filter).

                                    So if you guys shake it thinking it will work fine will actually damage it. The charcoal dusts come out through the vertical centre hole and accumulates at the bottom and makes it look bad.

                                    The joints are all sealed, so there is no way to fix this from user end. They designed it such a way that you have to buy it from them regularly after water stops flowing.From top of my mind, this is functionally very same as the candle filters we used in our childhood days. Only difference is the charcoal layer.Its kind of supeficial because you really cant take out the odour to zero if there is a strong smell. Rest it looks good.

                                    have place an order for a Tata Swatch on 11.06.2011 vide order No 11062011_425. It is being assured that the goods will be delivered within 10 Days from the date of placement of Order. Accordingly we are expecting the goods on or before[protected].

                                    We have been intimated that the material are despatched through the Blazeflash Courier ( Consignment Note No[protected], where the online tracking shows that the goods have been despatched from Gaziabad on 11.06.2011, and no further tracking thereon.

                                    This is to surprised on the Day 30-June ( almost 19 Days from the date of placement of order) we have not received the subject consignment.

                                    We have talk with the Customer Executives from Pune and on the Toll Free No given, but wont get the satisfactory answers. As per the discussion held on[protected]. the Customer Executive says that they have taken the complaint and will be back after 72 Hr. This means after waiting for 19 days, we have wait again 3 Days to get the answer and not the material.

                                    Please guide how to resolve the issue.

                                    I had bought a TATA SWACH water filter from BIG BAZAAR, Thane around a month an half ago. However, since the last few days a lot of black particles and black water has filled in the bulb and the same black water is filled in the lower container. Hence, rendering the filter useless. I cannot use the filter anymore till the black water is cleaned out from the bulb. All the claims of filtering 3000 ltrs in six months etc are bogus and misleading the customer. Regret having bought such a product from a reputed company like TATA. Neither am I able to get through the toll free no also (all executives are apparently very busy) to attend to customer calls and are made to hold the line for 20-30 minutes. Zero after sales service from TATA. Very disappointed with the product. Definitely the company does not expect me to pay for another bulb within one months time. Please let me know what should be done and when will it be done.

                                      This complaint is regarding TATA SWACH purifier, I Ravi Srivastava bought a TATA SWACH purifier on 04 Aug '10 from GURU JI ELECTRONICS, PATEL NAGAR, NEW DELHI, at the time of purchase dealer did not provide any information for the assembling or feartures of the same even after asking so many times. Still i purchased the same on goodwill of TATA. Later on after assembling the same with the help of instruction manual when i put water in upper mesh the plastic net cap which gets placed on valve floated up with water and did not do any kind of filteration work. After two times dispensing the water i started using the water for drinking and cooking food. i felt some stomach problem in next 2-3 days and fell ill with stomach infection. I made complaints on TATA SWACH CALL CENTER where executive assured me that their technical deptt will contact me soon and will resolve the issue but there was no response, after a week or so again i made a call to the call center and this time executive assured me that dealer will be contacting me at the time when service engineer will visit to the them as they have communicated to the tech deptt and dealer but again no response. After a week or so i called to the dealer and told the problem they assured me to revert on the same problem but no one reverted yet.

                                      This is really really bad that a brand like TATA is responding in such a bad way that they don't ever care for their customer's health and understand that this kind of problem can lead a seviour health problems for the person or the family who use such product.

                                      TATA's are know only for making money and not service. There sales team is good but service is horrible. Most of their staff after working for a while steal the data from the office and start calling customer that instead of Eureka Forbes Aquagaurd - take service from us and then they start putting in substandard consumables. There is no grievance resolution system, there is no training. I am suffering this because I made the mistake of buying the product some 30 years ago when there office was at Asaf Ali Road.

                                      On the strength of advertising, they have become really big but service is extremely poor.

                                        I had purchased a tata swach from C.H. Shah and Co.Dadar, Mumbai on 10.4.2010. Within 3 months the bulb stopped working, showing accumulation of black water (the carbon filter must have leaked) resulting in chocking of the filter. We made a complaint to the dealer who refused to even take up the matter and instead directed me to call the tata consumer care cell on [protected] where a Mr. Sumit was not able to do anything. He again directed me to approach the dealer who will call a technical person from tata to service us. Could someone please help.

                                        Worst TATA product i have ever used...

                                        I purchased Tata Swach Purifier in the month of August and within a month it stopped filtering the water. The filter was filled with black color particles which i suppose is the carbon particles used in the filer. After several complaints finally they agreed to change the filter but said currently Tata is researching on the filter and will change them as soon as it is re-launched. Believe me its more than a month now and there is no response so far from any one.
                                        This is the WORST TATA PRODUCT i have ever used and i swear never to go by this brand again. By launching such a spurious product TATA is doing no good to its market reputation.
                                        If this problem isnt resolved in few day i haved to SCRAP the purifier.

                                        I am also facing the same problem.I had purchased tata swatch product before 1month and after 7 days having same problem. and many times i have follow-up with vendor for the same. but i am not getting any reply from both side. we have followup's the nos. of times and i have wasted my time finally long process i got replacement of faulty part. it is not say any think regarding Tata but which service we have got it's really very poor service from TATA Swatch.

                                        I bought TATA Swatch water filter in September 2010. Within one month o[censored]se it stoped working as water was not flowing at all to the lower container. I cleaned it as directed in the user guide but still it takes long to filter the water. I went to chroma (Bangalore) for replacement but they ignored me and did not do anything for me. Since january 2011 it stoped functioning and I bet it hardly filtered 1000 ltr as it was claimed by product company(TATA) that it can filter 3000 ltr. I went again to Chroma (Bnagalore). But they are not ready to take any responsibilty and help me in it. I also asked them I will pay if they can provide me the replacement Swatch bulb but they simply said they do not have stock in any of their brance in bangalore. I called TATA swatch toll free number and that is alos of no use. They simply lodge the complain and did not take any action yet.

                                        I feel cheated. TATA really fooled lakhs of cutomers and made money out of it. I request the Consumer Court Authorities to take action against TATA Swatch for selling the faulty product in the market and proving any services for the same.

Although the price is affordable, the cntainer is very thin and week . the traingular design is faulty and is not firmly balancing in the table. The base is hollow and is easily slips from the stand. Because of its trangular design the centre of gravity is concentrating on the frount portion and is easily furn forward if water is filled .

                                        Tata Swach / Ts003 — Defect Product Delivered

                                        I placed ordere for Product TS003(Water Purifier) from http://www.tataswach.com/ on 22-Jun-2011. I got the delivery on 04-Jul-2011. When I opened the box, I found a big crack at lower part of the container, which can not hold any amount of water, and product purchase is of now no use to me. I reported about the same to tatswach on next day, and asked for product replacement or refund amount.

                                        I have called on[protected], no of times to know the status about replacement, every time I get different answers saying, within 72 hours you problem will be resolved. Every time I call they ask what the problem with actual product. Its almost 25 days since I placed the order, neither they have provided the replacement nor refund.

                                        Service seems to very very bad.

                                        I had purchased a tata swach from Manjou Enterprises, Pimpri Pune on 16th Jul 2011, but just after two weeks the bulb has stopped filtering water.

                                        why company make false promises to customers that it would filter 3000 liters.
                                        I m damn sure it filters only 300 liters of water not 3000 liters.

                                        I have purchased tata swach before 5 months back. eventhough bulb is warrented up to six months .The life is over within 4 month only. I have changed it, no problem but today when I started the tap, tap came in to my hand, This is serious I do not believe that the tata fabricated parts of swach containers are so weak & are damaging within 5 or 6 months!!!. What can be done in this case?I do not find better of reporting such things in grahak panchayat. Well hopping for positive corrospondance.

                                        I too have the same problem, were carbon like black water is coming out and the purification you told as up to 3000 litres...but i dont think so it would have filtered so much of water in just 3 and half months and infact we are two people...

                                        the product is very waste and waste of money too...i suggest people who are going for this product please do not buy..

                                        infact if we change for the second bulb god only knows how many days it may work...its really false promising from the company...

                                        I have replaced (By Purchasing new Bulb) 5 filters in last 1 year. Cost of the product is also continuously increasing because of which we feel more cheated as once you have purchased the product you have to stick to the accessories and now there is a Monopoly condition that we have to buy the high cost Bulbs or mesh and have no choice.

                                        I want a solution regarding the slow/ no water flow from the filter to be addressed on priority so all the consumers are happy about the product.

                                        TATA Brand name is at stake for a problem which can be fixed in the design stage itself to make the filter work at least for 60-70% of the ltrs of water promised like 3000 ltrs in one bulb.

                                        Also if a bulb is found faulty there are no replacements given and we have to purchase a new one.
