I'm Professor P H Anand a continuous reader of THE HINDU (English daily) for the past four decades. Recent days I'm getting the Tamil Issue of THE HINDU very often. This brings a discontinuity of reading habit of ENGLISH THE HINDU. I have already raised an issue of delay due to several insertion by the agent and using THE HINDU for his own benefits and even still continuing. When I contacted the agent Mr. Kannan and raised the issue for issuing tamil The Hindu, he has talked with me in a threatening manner. I request that the above matter shall be enquired and please see that daily issue of THE HINDU English, to contine my reading habit. Dr.P. Dear Sir, I have paid subscription for The Hindu - Tamil version for 6 months towards Order Number 007348 through ICICI Cheque bearing number 790886 dated 20/7/2014 for Rs.444/- to one Mr L Gopi (Mobile No. [protected]) and was assured that the newspaper would be delivered from 1st of August 2014. We have not received the paper and have contacted Mr Gopi for the same and he said from the next day the newspaper would be delivered. To our surprise even after a weeks' time the paper was not delivered and have contacted Mr Jagan (Mobile Number [protected]) as instructed by Mr Gopi for non issuance of news paper. he had assured that the concerend personnel was instructed to deliver the paper immediately. Even for the emails sent to the id [protected]@thehindu.co.in on 9th August and 14th August I am yet to get the reply. Even after lot of calls till now (22nd August 2014) we have not received the paper. I would like to register this complaint and seek the respective personnel to refund the subscription money back to me since i have not received paper so far. Regards Deepa

Hindu Subn No.[protected] - Bangalore After getting the SMS from Hindu I renewed the subscription in June 2014 and I was getting paper till 19th August 2014. On 20th onwards the vendor is not distributing the paper. When enquired they said HINDU IS NOT SUPPLYING THE PAPER. The area incharge of Hindu is also helpless. Request to solve the problem soon. Last year I had paid annual subscription and renewed same online as per SMS sent by The Hindu. But after getting renewal I don't get my daily paper. News paper vendor also not responding, there are lot of problems with Hindu annual subscription. Even last year I had to follow up vendor to get regular paper, this guys are skipping and might be selling my addition to outside. TheHindu should take notice of it. I have subscribed the hindu digital epaper, as i am a the hindu's precious reguler print edition customer, now i locate to remote village so i subscribed digital edition on 3/08/2014 and again i complained on the same address on 06/08/14 but still the hindu is not communicating.the more harassing is that hindu is not replying even after a week after payment.is that hindu a company or gang of scamsters?(i am sorry but i have to use such a vocabulary because of failure of communication or i dont know still now wheather i cheated or not)
I humbly request to my fav newspaper company to activate my epaper account as already suffered from financial loss, and you are loosing your precious customers.please i request you to activate my epaper.

My subscription [protected] : this is supposed to expire on aug 15th as per a message i received.but the news paperperson has started putting times of india for last 2 weeks. He did not even ask whether i want to renew it. I rarely get to meet him, so i could not check with him. Today when i finally got him, he is saying he got some note about my subscription already expired. i tried many times to call the number [protected] (the number which i got in a message after scubscriptin) and no one picks up or got backup. my number is [protected]

Sir,
I subscribed a 6 months package of Hindu paper. period starts from 17/04/2014.
Since that day onwards I do not get a newspaper once in a week.(IT HAPPENS EVERY WEEK)
So I have to call five to six people and I spend about 15 to 20 Rs. per week.
Again delivery of new paper stars for just FOR five days again it is stops.
Actually I am mentally frustrated in calling and shouting on those people .
I just want to terminate your service and want my remaining money back.
or in written that no refund as such.
the same issue I take up with Mr. Gopal [protected], and Mr. Suryanarayana [protected]
but he is also helpless in front of distributor/agents and delivery boys.
Hope u understand the pain.

I have subscribed Hindu Tamil news paper for six months at the cost of INR 444, given as a check and the given check also cleared, the amount of 444 was deducted from my account. The date committed by agent was 16th July 2014, but till now I didn't received a single news paper from the Hindu or agent. When ever I use to call the agent, his reply is from tomorrow u will be getting the Tamil Hindu news paper.

I am a subscriber of the the hindu (Tamil) in trichy and my reference ID is W20140218CIRC5582. I could not get the paper before my departure from my house by 8:00AM. This happening for the past 10 days. I made a complaint to the local distributor also., But the problem is not yet rectified. i resubscribed the newspaper from 23 may 14 . my subscription no [protected] dated 09 May 14.But till to date i have received only 3 days newspaper. please do something. i am taking newspaper due to my exam preparation.so please do something as early as possible.

HI, I have subscribed The Hindu news paper Order NO BG76200 Rs 333 Plan for 1 year on 9/8/13 which include one trolley bag gift. I am receiving the news paper but did not receive the gift trolley bag till now when asked to the new paper agency( Manjunath News Agency, HSR Layout, Bangalore) they told to contact the The Hindu team. Pls make necessary arrangements and so that I will get the gift at the earliest.

While enquired to the paper boy OneMr.Saravanan mobile No.[protected] he told that Hindu office not supplied paper to us and Hindu office told that the subscription was expired. Please necessary arrangements may please be made to continue paper delivery service to me and also to refund the amount for the period from the date of non supply of news paper till the date of receipt of the paper.

I had ordered a book from Hindu Publication on 1st june 2014. Its been one month since and till now, i have not received the copy. I mailed multiple times but have not get any reply till date. Please let me know whether I am going to receive the book or not. i have subscribed to three newspapers namely- the hindu, times of india and Deccan chronicle but the hindu newspaper service is the poorest of all! the delivery of newspaper takes place between 8.30-9.45AM and is not regular. i called the hindu office many times over and every time they said it would be resolved the same day and nothing has been done so far. later, i mailed to [protected]@thehindu.co.in but i have not received any reply till now. Deccan Chronicle's service is far better than this. every time i called Deccan Chronicle's office regarding delivery complaint, they called me up the very next day to confirm the delivery of the newspaper.despite the fact that newspapers can be delivered free of cost (because a lot of revenue is earned from the advertisements) The Hindu have doubled the subscription amount to 399/- from 200/- in mere six months. i think people should boycott The Hindu newspaper in the public interest! my subscription no. is [protected].

I had subscribed for The Hindu Tamil magazine under the concession category and paid Rs.444/- on 25/05/14 vide ch. no. 451773 dt 2/05/14 which got credited in your a/c on 29/05/14/ I am supposed to get the magazine from 01/06/14 but till now I have not received the paper. Mr.Karthik, [protected] who has showed much interest in collecting the cheque is not at all lifting the phone from yesterday. One Mr. Jawahar of The Hindu who has also assured me the prompt delivery never bothered to lift the phone from yesterday. I am registering the complaint to get a positive response, otherwise I will be seeking legal options including moving Consumer Forum for cheating, deficiency in service etc., Seshadri.R [protected]

Often we are complaining but Hindu is not taking any action . We will inform to all to neighbours and friends not to subscribe Tamil Hindu due to poor response from HIndu. I am anntal subscriber of your news paper. Of late the paper is not being delivered regularly. Despite several complaints the local agent did not take any action. The matter was also reported to one Mr.Raghavan set to be the zonal head at Vijayawada. No action was taken.
