I am the Hindu news paper reader from last One year at the MaharaniPeta area. I had subscribed for 6 months recently and I lost that receipt showing the payment details, consumer no etc. Last month I have shifted from that house to a new house which is in the same locality. When I asked to deliver the news paper to new address, the delivery boy asking for the slip and contact the agent to whom I paid the amount.
Since, I am not having any details, I need help in delivery of new paper to new address.
Can you give the details of concern please..

i am the Hindu news paper reader form past three years and last year i took 1year subscription (ORDERNO:22053) and recently shifted to a new house so i want the paper to be delivered at my new address (HOUSE NO 10-3-18/10/1, FLATNO 301, SUPRABHA FORTUNE BESIDE PETROL BUNK, ADDAGUTTA, EASTMAREDPALLY, SECUNDERABAD.so i want the paper to be delivered as soon as poosible.

Hello, I am a victim of "The hindu" newspaper day light robbery! They collected a cheque of rupees 333/- from me almost a year back and they promised to deliver the bag (which was a offer) and mentioned that there is no stock and the same day was the last day for the offer and promised to deliver the bag personally. Since then its almost a year now and I am trying to reach these people and they are pushing away stating that I need to collect the bag from the same person who received my cheque! This is the number of the person who collected the chequw (Venu - [protected]). When I call this person he is saying that he is no more working for this agency and I need to contact the office. I then got another persons number (Omprakash - [protected]). This person made me wait for 3 weeks and now today when trying to reach him over this number, he is not at all picking the call. I have literally tried more than 100 times calling him. In between the phone was engage twice but he never bothered to pick the call or give a call back! I then called the newspaper agency on these numbers (Mob: [protected]/[protected] - Ravi Prop.). When I asked these people I got the answer mentioned above and they cant do anything and will not help at all literally threatening. These people are giving fake promises and doing day light robbery! sir, I had subscribed to the The hindu tamil 6 months back and the issues were not supplied regularly. The Subscription has expired on March 15. I was not intrested in renewing the subscription. But, so many sms came to me and personally one Mr. John has approached me and promised me that the paper will be supplied regularly. So, I renewed the subscription by paying Rs. 599/- (Subs no. The non-delivery of The Hindu newspaper
on a regular basis is the menace that we are facing in the Koramangala area in
Bangalore. The delivery is very much erratic and there is a sense of
unreliability and untrustworthiness surrounding it. Sometimes the newspaper is
not delivered even for a week. Only if we ask the person will he start
delivering newspaper again. This is the second time in the last 2 months that
the newspaper has not been delivered for 7 days continuously.

Some of the burning questions are as
follows:

1.
Has The Hindu taken any measures
to hold accountability to the subscribers who have paid the amount in advance,
when the agent in question reneges on his job of regular dispatch of the
newspaper? This can become a menace to this reputed institution.

2.
When the other national
dailies make it a point to resolve these pain points of the subscribers in a
bid to widen their subscription base, why is The Hindu not proactive in its
efforts?

3.
Can it be that the agent
is selling it in retail so that he can make additional money, without
delivering the newspaper to the subscriber even though the subscription amount
has been fully paid in advance?

4.
Is it possible to make
deliveries through another agent in the same area? The area is Third Main, Bharathi
Layout, Koramangala, Bangalore.

The lingering concern is whether this
issue will persist afterwards also. Hope The Hindu authorities look into this
problem so that it does not mar the reputation of this national daily (if can
we call it a daily).

Hi,

I would like to bring this to everyone notice that a agent by name Devaraj (Cell # [protected]) had collected a Cheque of Rs 444 on 25th January 2014 for a Hindu Bangalore subscription period of 6 months.

Devaraj's verbal commitment for Date of commencement was from 1st Feb 2014, but I haven't received paper till date. Even as per Terms & Conditions, date of commencement should at least start from next cycle (16th Feb 2014) but I haven't received any papers till date.

Is this a new fraud of collecting amount and cheating customers?
Kind request for everyone, not to trust Hindu subscriptions at Bangalore

I am a regular subscriber of the HINDU news paper under Special subscription scheme. I subscribed wef 06 Jan 13 with half yearly payment of Rs 225/-. My Sbuscription number is [protected].The Hindu, Visakhapatnam. Renewed subscriptions on 24 Jun 13again on 11 Jan 14 for six months each. Post payment also, the local paper agent of our area not delivering paper and even he is not interested to give paper. He stopped well in advance i.e from 10 Jan 14. The agent show very much reluctance to deliver subscription papers. The hindu news paper officials are also not bothered to ensure the delivery of news papers to their subscribers. I surprise to understand, how one reginal general manger of your new paper can not have control over a newspaper agent? That indicates no commitment of your promises. I am not bothered about subscription money but not ensuring the promises made by you is only thing bothering me. Like my cases, there may be so many in the city not getting / delivering/issuing papers. This way your paper loose credibility among the local people in the city. Agent has promised newspaper from August 16th and a Hindu carry bag as complimentary. Money has been deducted from my account but there is not trace paper yet till date, leave alone the bag. Hello Sir, 3 months back one Hindu Representative approached us for the Tamil Hindu paper subscription as on offer price.I have subscribed it and gave the cheque and other details.Till now they haven't started delivering the paper.Earlier that Hindu representative told he couldn't find any distributor to that area so asked for some more days.Now he is not attending my calls .I never expected this from Hindu company. It is one of the reputed Daily News paper and not ensuring whether their customers are happy or not. My big concern is if he could not find any distributor then he should inform me and return me the amount but this is very bad in not responding to me.Now i have lost my voucher receipt. I subscribed for this on 25th october, 2013 and I got the paper only yesterday i.e., on 4th november, 2013 after calling your sales manager repeatedly and sending details regarding the order number over a hundred times. Sir,
I am a resident of Besant Nagar, Chennai, Tamil nadu. We took a 6 months package of The Hindu Tamil paper period starts from 16-Mar-2014.

For the past 1 week, we have not received the News Paper even after showing the Renewal-receipt.

I don't know what went wrong!!

We are following The Hindu from our Grand Father days. We are paying English version every month to another agent. We are getting without any problem.

Called the person who took the subscription order he told many reasons for the delay in issuance of the paper. Then called The Hindu toll free number, initially they gave me some newsagency number I called them there was no proper reply then again called to hindu, still they are replying saying "today you will definitely get".but didn't received yet. I placed an order with one of your Sales Executives, who visited our home on August 18, 2013 for one year subscription of The Hindu News Paper (All Days) at Rs. 333. I handed over ICICI Bank Cheque No. 118187 dated August 18, 2013 for Rs. 333 to him on that day. I was promised that The Hindu Newspaper would be delivered to my home starting September 1, 2013. It was also promised that I would be receiving a free gift bag as part of the special order. I am very sorry to inform that I have neither received the Newspaper nor the Free Gift until this date. I have been subscribing Times of India for the last 12 years and I stopped that from September 1, 2013 believing the promise of your sales executive. Now I get neither Times of India nor The Hindu. My next door neighbor Mr Ajith Kumar also cancelled Times of India and placed order Hindu like me. Needless to say, he is also in same trouble as I am today. We did not expect this kind of a “Let Down” from a reputed newspaper house like The Hindu. I personally had very high respect and regard to The Hindu, but all that has been shambled now.

I am a resident of MUDICHUR (Tambaram West). I have a paid a subcription of R333 via ICICI bank cheque and the same has been debited. BUt till date i haven't recieved the newspaper or any message on not issuing it.

Its annoying that such big Publisher has such fradulent happenings . When I try to contact the number of the person who recived the cheque from me, there is no response.
LAter I received an SMS with a customer compliant number in case of any porblem with issung the newspaper, but that in turn is also disappointing . AS THEY DONT EVEN ATTEND THE CALL OF THEIR CUSTOMER.

I'm a 25 years customer of Hindu and business line. We are very much diss-pointed on Hindu Tamil circulation.
We eagerly subscribed Hindu Tamil in the first release. But I have not received the paper 2 days in the weak.
After subscription period over.

I hesitate to continue the Tamil Hindu subscription again the representative convinced me to
subscribe, he promised all issues are solved. But after subscription ch.no.168221 for Rs.599/-
12 march 2014 the cheque already passed in bank on the next day still paper is not received by
us. Already 15 days crossed I have sent email complaint to Hindu also . Spoke
with Hindu office person through the no.[protected] after few follow ups he told
me to contact Mr.venkatesh phone no.[protected], again daily Mr.venkatesh
promised me calling you after 10 minutes, 10 minutes, after 10 days he gave
another phone no he told he is the manager the name of Mr.amarnath phone no.
[protected]. He is promising me he will solve the problem the next day after 5
days the same answer . Daily morning he is asking who are you then he told the
same mobile no I will saw the previous message and take the necessary action
daily he is telling the same but the problem still remains. As a brother of
advocate I will face these kind of problems an ordinary man what will do. I don’t
bother about sending legal notice to Hindu with help of one rupee revenue
stamp. If the problem will not close . I will send legal notice to Hindu also
they are not giving proper response everyday they are promising after 10 minutes
we will contact you. This is the same answer given by the peoples in the
last 8 days what a unprofessional service from this magazine legend really surprised
why the senior personals not taking actions against complaints if it is continues
we have to think Hindu twice even to think.Subscription No.[protected].
Why I'm giving this complaint The Management must watch and take the
necessary action otherwise you will lose your genuine customers for other
supplements also.

irregular delivery of paper and receiving the paper quite late My name is B srinivas rao from visakhapatnam(andhra pradesh) .i am a regular subscriber of THE HINDU news paper.I have been continue this news paper for last three years. paper boy do not issue the news paper in time, usually I get at 9:00 am.I will not get news paper during week ends (saturday,Sunday and festival seasons).monthly I get paper for just 15 to 16 days only.when ever I ask about news paper agent response he gives vague and irrelevant answers.some of the reasons are boy went to village,boy went to marriage,boy changed and the most arrogant reply come to my home and collect the news paper.i complain to hindu office even no use. EVERY TIME AFTER RENEWAL INTIMATION LETTER. I GET NEWS PAPER WITH 1 MONTH DELAY..when I cal to agent.the simple answer he gives.we have’nt yet received any intimation regarding renewal. And some time I get TIMES OF INDIA pamphlet.i wonder how can these agent can give times of India Advertisement papmlets in HINDU. and my kind request please give waiver after my 6 months subscription expires because every month I got headache from your irregular delivery of paper. if this continues then I will not subscribed any more.please look into the matter as soon as possible and do revert back . I subscribed for the offer on the same day (July 19th), by my credit card and they gave me a free bag instantly,.

They promised that the paper will be coming from Aug 1st. Its already August 13th and still no signs of paper yet.

Sales executive Not responding

I have been calling the executive who signed me up for this offer.His number is [protected], Name is Manju..

Since Aug 1st and everytime i call him he says it comes tmw and other excuses. He does not call me or gives me any update. I myself have to call him everyday to get update but now he isnt responding. He does not answer my call now. Its been 13 days already and no update from the executive or from the Concerned Dept.

Customer care Not responding

I have also called the customer care number[protected] but they wont answer my call.

I fear that i have been scammed.I am going to file a consumer complaint for breach of SLA. Please dont fall into this trap, they wont listen to you after you paid for the subscription.

The Hindu, Leading Newspaper cheating public with their annual subscription for Rs 600/-. First they are dbiting our money and distributing their Paper for 2 months and without any notice they stopped.

In the "The Hindu" newspaper dated 20 March 2012, on first page the abbreviation for Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) is misspelled as KKNNP.

In the "The Hindu" newspaper dated 19 March 2012, on 5th page the under CSAT quiz, sub-inspector was misspelled as sub-inspectoer.

On 22/09/2015, sales executives of “The Hindu” newspaper gave me a offer of Rs 699/- for 1 year subscription of “The Hindu” newspaper .
I subscribed for the offer on the same day, by the way of cheque, .

They promised that the paper will be coming from 01/10/2015. Its already 28/03/2016 and still no signs of paper yet.Sales executive Not responding. I have been calling the executive who signed me up for this offer., Name is Sri DIVAKAR ( Mob; [protected]).Since October1st and everytime i call him he says it comes tmw and other excuses. my name is B.Sanyasi Rao.I have subscribed for The Hindu paper for 6months and have already paid for it.Iam having a constant problem in the delivery of newspaper because the boy starts either delivering The Times of India paper instead of The Hindu or doesnot deliver at all and when questioned regarding it he stopped posting the paper totally and i have not been receiving the paper since then.This was intimated to the agent but no action was taken so far.I am desperately hoping that at least through this complaint some action could be expected to be taken and if even this doesnot work out i really don't know what else it is that i should do.

I had subscribed for "THE HINDU" from the 1st of APril 2010.
i havnt recieved a single copy as yet and its been 14 days today.
Neither have they replied to my mails and
I've called 4times each time no resolution has been provided.

THE HINDU — non delivery of paper

I had paid 6 months subscription for Hindu ,Mangalore edition( Feb1,2011 onwards).Though the agent Mr.Manoj had assured me of the regular delivery of the paper,the paper is now being delivered two or three times a week.I request the concerned authority to take necessary action in this matter so that I can get the paper daily.

I had paid for 1 year subsription, for THE HINDU Visakapatnam edition.there is no regular delivery of the paper, the paper is being delivered twice and thrice a week.this is nothing but cheating the public. so i request your organisation to direct the paper agencyto direct the paper agency to regularly deliver the paper.failing which i will be constrained to take legal action in consumer forum for the default.

I have a similar complaint. The frequency of the paper being delivered is irratic. Last month, in June I missed 3 copies, and this month, as of on this day 2 copies were not delivered. Kindly take up this matter urgently so that the delivery of the newsprint is not broken.

I'm Narendra reddy, and i've subscribed to The Hindu News paper.
My subscription to expire by 29/12/2012, and to renewal i've got a letter with the order no. TH/762779 dtd. 12/12/2012 stating a payment for Rs.225/- And i've made the payment.

I'm supposed to get the news paper from 01/01/2013, but i'm not receiving.
Made several calls to the agents, office and sales managers but none responding.

Please take necessary action.

Hi,

I would like to bring this to everyone notice that a agent by name Devaraj (Cell # [protected]) had collected a Cheque of Rs 444 on 25th January 2014 for a Hindu Bangalore subscription period of 6 months.

Devaraj's verbal commitment for Date of commencement was from 1st Feb 2014, but I haven't received paper till date. Even as per Terms & Conditions, date of commencement should at least start from next cycle (16th Feb 2014) but I haven't received any papers till date.

Is this a new fraud of collecting amount and cheating customers?
Kind request for everyone, not to trust Hindu subscriptions at Bangalore

The Hindu is just publishing what all the people think against the Raj Thackary but are not publishing the part of the people who are writing what is the good outcome of it, what Raj Thackary is doing.

I really feel bad when a newspaper of such a reputation doing such a partiality. Are they supporters of Biharis?

Are Maharashtrian are not part of the India, we don’t have to speak something?
