[Resolved] Think & Learn / Byju's — Fraud and delay in refund | |||||
On 06.05.2017, we were approached by some Mr Heera Jaan from Byjus. Day before yesterday we had received a call from Byjus regarding the same. The person called Mr Heera Jaan was very talkative and was quite smart. He approached us first saying that he wants to analyse my child. We being gentleman allowed him for 4 hours at our house and in turn he convinced us that we should enroll our child in think and learn programme of Byjus. We agreed. He sent us a link and we made a payment of Rs 43200 towards that.Later on we had suspicion regarding his personality. So we searched for him on social networking sites like Facebook, linked in and found that the person was a big fraud. First of all he told that he was a B TECH FROM IIT Kharagpur and he will be mentor of my child. But we found that he was a graduation of some other college and immediately when we called him he told that he has done so to make an initial impact on us. Secondly he told that he had come from Banglore and on the same day he had to return also. We were quite impressed but later on, through social networking sites only we came to know that he had come from Hyderabad only and this also he told that he was lying to make an initial impact on us The question is, if Byjus classes has teachers like this, what they will be teaching to the child. And is Byjus Classes telling it's employees to make impact on their customers by means of lies, cheating and fraud. Was really frustrated and decided not to put my kid in an institute that makes relationship based on fraud, cheating and lies. A request was made for refund on 07.05.2017 but they did not respond properly. After that started a series of torcher. They show so much reluctance in cancelling your order. Today they told that I have to send back the product first. I told I have not received the product.Then they asked for bank account details which was given to them at 10 AM today, on 09.05.2017. On their website it is written that if the payment has been done through internet banking it will automatically be credited back to the account. But they demanded the account details for refund. Again when called after submitting the account details, they told that I had to mail it on separate ID. After lot of pursuing they told that the refund team is not there today. Why refund team will not be there today on tuesday.It seems they want to make me tired so that I stop following them up and they eat my money. It seems that they have captured the entire education business on the basis of fraud and cheating. Was this information helpful? | |||||
May 12, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved The complain was shared on facebook also. We received a call regarding refund within 7 days, but on my insistence it was refunded quickly. | |||||

Same for me, they are just keeping the money with them for ample amount of time.. And very negligent in refunding it back to the customer.
I am also a victim and very very disappointed with Byjus refund team, Byju's refund team has not refunded my money after multiple follow ups, they blocked my 52000/- Rs, I paid them 85000/- rs from my credit card to buy 4th to 10th standard course and later in 3 days I did a partial refund and only kept 4th and 5th material with me, for which they assured a refund of rs 52000/- + courier charges, but I have not receive my money yet after multiple follow ups, and there refund team keeps dragging the dates to a future date, everytime they are assuring the refund will come in 48 hours but nothing happen till now. Please be careful before giving them any money.

I too am a victim of Byjus . I was enrolled in the course for class 4th to 10th Standard for Rs.60, 000/- Plus Rs.5000/- advance.
At the initial stage when Byjus representative came in and I was being enrolled, later we have received the Tablet and the course started it was not actually which was described to us, on the 8th day we surrendered and requested for cancellation.
The Cheque's and other document was processed with Capital Float, for which we requested not to enroll. I reached Captial Float and opened ticket but there was no response and closing the tickets.
From that day of cancellation mails sent till now I am being continuously following up, the representative has changed his contact nos. and not reachable. Despite of multiple request to the support they speak and forget.
Now I receiving lot many calls from Bank for the payment and making hell. Trying to understand what can be done.
Request to provide some email ID or contacts to escalate.

we were approached by some Mr Austosh from Byjus after we had received a call from Byjus regarding the same. Mr Austosh from MNREC was very talkative and was quite smart. He approached us first saying that he wants to analyse my child. We being gentleman allowed him for 2 hours at our house and in turn he convinced us that we should enroll our child in think and learn programme of Byjus. We agreed. He sent us a link and we made a payment of Rs 6000 towards that.Later on we called him but he didn't pick the phone. So we s found that the BYJU and person was a big fraud as they have collected post dated cheques and encashing the same.
For refund they are refusing despite earlier promise and written mail of returning the same.

I would like to express my deep anguish about BYJU ONLINE LEARNING and cautioned you to never purchase BYJU ONLINE LEARNING tablet from them. They are just making fake promises about that their app. That Contents in app. is just only 20 to 30 per cent and Tablet will contain 100 percent material.
By coming in their fake promises I purchased BYJU tablet of Class-9 and 10 of Rs.25000/-. When I got the Tablet it contains the same video etc. materials as it was in their free App. The only differences was that it can be used in offline mode also and their validity was of one year.
I would like to tell you that I had given him Rs.5000/ as down payment and remaining amount to paid through CAPITAL FLOAT in EMI @2222/-. Since I was not satisfied, at all, with the contents of Tablet so I wished to return the same. But their representatives behaved very badly and not willing to get their tablet and return of down payment Rs.5000/- . I send at least 10 to 15 mails but all in vain. One more thing I would like to mention that CAPITAL FLOAT, BANGALORE was also not agreed to the cancellation of Loan Agreement with me. I also sent at least 10 mails to them. But they were not willing to return my down payment as well. Finally I lodged online complaint against BYJU in CPGRAM and Department of Consumer Affairs. Only then, after about two months, I got my Rs.5000/- and loan agreement was cancelled. I would like to express many many thanks to CPGRAM and Department of Consumer Affairs for that. Both Buju and Capital float are just looting the money of innocent people like me.
So, I would like to cautioned you that You never ever purchase their TABLET otherwise you will also feel horrifying experience like me.
Further, self study along with coaching is the best but if you want to get video lectures then a lot of video lectures are free available on the you tube.
Shahrukh Khan is their brand ambassador. But I don’t think he has ever used their tablet. So Just If you want to waste your money then go to purchase their Tablet and fool by their advertisement and false promising.
