Hi, My sister apply visa with thomas cook, janpath shopping complex at Dehradun, uttaranchal. First the consultant didn't know how to apply tourist visa and cause of this visa got rejected. Its's ok bad luck choose thomascook. Second things they booked airticket which they never provide and now they are unable to refund the money. several times mail and call, they have no proper answer. When asking them to airticket and how much dedection on airticket, they switch off the mobile and busy it. Just I want my proof of airticket and deduction.

Worst expereience of my lifetime- super bad customer service, super bad cordination- super bad arrangement

its just a big brand with little concern for its customers. poor quality of service

you make your payment & post that the calls go unanswered

no single point of contact-evertime you end up talking to a different travel advisor for the same trip information

no accomodation details shared before hand-they share it last minute

despite of taking down my meal preference on mail & call I get stay in pure veg resort

in the name of std rooms they give yu lodging house and in the name of luxury/deluxe you get standar rooms
in case of any issues on the journey - nobody takes you call/ replies to your mail

my itenary changed last minute and I had no clue. no information given on phone / mail. on landing the airport I know my first place of travel has changed. I actually had plans of catching up with friends who came all the way to meet - screwed up

when I am seekign resolution for the mess they did, I am assured necessary steps will be taken against the representative. but what happens to the disappointment I went through? if such actions were actually taken then I would not have seen so many complaints on this blog .this shows this is a regular practice and not a rare displeasure a customer faces

most places of importance of a given tour are not covered most of the time. always cross check other travel agencies itinerary and compare.
I am a senior citizen from Chennai and booked pilgrimage trip to SRILANKA along with my wife who is also a senior citizen, to be conducted during March 2020, and paid the entire cost.But the tour was cancelled by M/S Thomas Cook.When requested for refund the co initially given voucher and assured refund latter. On expiry of voucher date they requested particulars, but no refund not made till now, and stopped responding to e mails.lam in Chennai and the booking for tour done online in their Mumbai office, hence they're trying to cheat me by not refunding tour cost collected 4 years back
I request you to kindly help me with refund.

    Today is Dec 2, 2015 and my honeymoon travel is planned for Dec 5, 2015 to andaman islands and I have not received any travel details yet. Call center guys are not connecting me to service team despite several attempts made by me to reach them. I feel so cheated and so frustrated. Choosing Thomas and Cook was the biggest mistake of my life. Out of all out there in market, they are the worst.

      Sir, I had Booked Himachal tour online from Mumbai Refrence no G[protected] tour date 8th November to 14th November, I had paid full amount of the package on 12th October I was recieved pacage details and Flight ticket on 7th at 12.45 pm after repeated request and calls.when our tour started we found same problem with our group we were left with their choice. during tour we found we were cheated repeatedly we were given 0 star category hotel (No hot water, Dirty bed sheets and Towels they charged for heater) instead of 3 star hotel, as mention in or package details we complained to our tour arranger Mr Pankaj Kale from Thomas cook(Mob. No.[protected]) but he didnt help us he didnt take our call in-spite of repeated calls, many of the sites which was mentioned in our tour details was not shown by the guide arranged by Thomas cook. we were charged for sites which was committed free in the tour details, last day of the tour we were left 8 hour before the flight at Delhi airport. This all problems was faced also by our fellow group form Ahmdabad and Banglore. Please help me and my other group members getting justice so that no other get cheated from Thomas Cook.

      This is regarding the above complain it is still not resolved i think Thomas cook is making us forget the incident or they might be use to such a complain, i can see the related complain in your forum, this shows their attitude towards helpless peoples whom they can cheat.it is very hard to forget the hardship we had incurred during the tour thomas cook must be use to in cheating peoples but there will be one day when every one will get justice.

      This is regarding the above complain it is still not resolved i think it is waste of time since no response from THOMAS COOK or any mail from them they are use to such complain because there are no one to take action against them.
      I feel sorry that i am staying in India having such a type of people doing injustice to poor and they are going on because no one is to stop them they will continue to cheat many Please refer their complaint status and how many they have resolved.I will write on this post till my complaint is not resolved... hope some day good guy from this earth may read this post and do justice...

        Highly irresponsible behavior of the thomascook customer service... its just a day left for travel and i havent received my travel vouchers yet!!... have been calling them repeatedly but my requests are falling on deaf ears. Before I had made the payment i received atleast 5 to 6 call per day . Once I made the payment no one has been picking up the calls, the relationship manager has turned back on me, saying its not his job to send the details. On asking him to refer me to concerned person, I am put on hold forever. Now its just one day left, i have paid close to 2 lac rupees. I am being harassed and have no where to go. Please help me, my vacations have been spoilt and i want these people to pay me now for the harassment caused to me. Thanks and regards.

        i had booked the vacations but due to flood in jammu and kashmir i was unable to go there but now company is not refunding my cash back 0f rs 54636 that i had already paid to them

          Respected sir, I booked myhoneymoon tour from thomas cook and my visa work was also done by thomas cook . Ibooked a mini europe tour from THOMAS COOK thane branch ofmumbai, maharashatra, india.date of travel is 19th june 2015. 1.We arefour adults.I want to complaint regarding my visa, as we faced too muchproblems to reach paris from where our tour was going to start.We were havingturkish airline flight no tk721 reference no 4464450 on 19th june from mumbaito istanbul and istanbul to paris but there was a problem in my visa for whichturkish airlines officer in istanbul denied us to board our flight reasonsaying my point of entry of schengen country is not paris.They said my point ofentry in my visa is czech republic so we faced very much problem to reachparis. I wasforced to go to Paris via Zurich and went to heavy financial loss because ofthat. Chargeswhich I paid to reach Paris are as follows:- a.Newflight tickets of Istanbul to Zurich- 440 dollars b.ticketactivation charge of my earlier Turkish airlines tickets:-880 dollars c.zurichto Paris via train:- 615 euro 2.I gavecomplete itenary with all the necessary documents and charges to THOMAS COOKINDIA for my visa and according to my itenary i needed multiple entry visa totravel my tour but they gave me single entry visa and when i am on half tourcompletion in Europe they just called me and said that i had some problem in myvisa so i wont be able to complete my tour of greece and will have to bearloss. So to reach greece Imade new tickets of Zurich to Athens . Charges which I paidto reach Greece are:- New tickets Zurichto Athens:- 1000 CHF(Swiss franks) Bagage charge:- 100dollars Old Ticketactivation charge :- 488 CHF(Swiss franks) These both points(1, 2) are the problems which i faced during my tour and faced too much of financial loss and mental harassment . On arguing with Thomas cook they reimbursed me for point 2 problem but they are waving off their hand for point 1 problem. I have all the proof OF documents that proves that point no 1 problem faced to me is also because of Thomas cook .             I have a booked dubai package for honeymoon for 29th dec 2015 . N while doing the advance paymet they told u just need to pay 20k now remaining 30days before departure. And there no hidden charges total pakacge is for 12100 next they call n told u haveto pay 50k advace n surcharge would be extra which they haven't told before always new person is calling me to tell me the same thing Now they not refunding my amount nothing they kept me hanging i can't book my package some were else .. daily i receive a message from them they trying to call n they will call later Before doing the boking they used to call twice n now the story is very different. Now i am really totally confused as they are treating the customer like this .. i am very upset with they should pay something for this as they are spoiling person honeymoon .. :(

                I contacted Thomas cook for Anadaman Package(Mesmerising Andamans 4N/5D (Monsoon Special)) for travel on 21-Aug. Since I was travelling alone, I got a quote of Rs 18, 000 rate instead of Rs 26, 999 they offer for couple. I tried to negotiate on the rate or provide any other add-on as the price quoted was on higher side. I mentioned it is too high and tried to bring it down to 15, 000. But they didn't change it even after several negotiation calls. Finally I agreed to pay 18, 000 for the trip. They shared the link to review my travel plan and pay the money on Aug 7. Invoice no. A[protected]. I made the payment same day. I got following acknowledgement also on same day(Aug 7) Package Name :Andamans - Mesmerising Andamans 4N/5D (Monsoon Special) Booking No / Adhoc no-F[protected] Travel Date :[protected] No. Of Passengers : 1 Total Package Cost :18000 Amount Paid : 18000 Relevant vouchers will be delivered 3 days prior to the date of departure. But representative gives me a call a week later and say that with they won't be able to book for the same amount and gave me following options. Option 1: You can add one more person by giving 10, 564/- Option 2: You can book this package by paying difference of amount of Rs 5547/- Option 3: You can just cancel your booking and we will refund your full amount. I was taken aback. I told the representative, it is not fair. You cannot ask me to pay Rs 5547 extra as you know from previous negotiations that I had expressed 18, 000 itself was high. Also told them I cannot cancel and wanted them to send the relavent travel vouchers. Didn't expect such a unethical business practice. Once I was offered a quote and I accepted it and payment link was provided by Thomas cook and I make the payment, isn't it liability of the company to provide service it agreed in the first place. I even mailed twice to Thomas Cook India Service Quality, but have not got any response. It is been already 3 days. I have lost hope. I believe after a sale deal is closed, a good company should not backtrack on the commitment. You need to fulfill the consumer obligation. Giving me a payment link and asking me to pay the Rs.18000 after several discussions to reduce price and once payment is made trying to ask for more money is not a good trade practice. Now it is very late for me to make other arrangements and it is going to cost me major inconvenience.

                  We took a us tour for 11 days with Thomas cook India but it proved to be a nightmare bcoz of several reasons: The guide who was supposed to join us from Niagara never came there and joined in new York When we travelled from new York to Washington we were made to do the city tour after 6 hr journey and then took us to holiday inn which refused permission saying we don’t have rooms and all kids and ladies became ill as we were then made to shift to comfort inn at 1am which was a lower category hotel . The coach driver didn’t turn up at 9am in los Angeles so we missed the universal studio tour by half day. Worst was travel from LA to SFO when bus broke down and we had to wait on road for 6 hours as no alternate bus came to.pick us nor repairs were done intime in area where forest fires were raging . The company promised to give us decent compensation but later backtracked and just said apology and closed the matter. We were 37 pax travelling in this tour and gave them 75 lakhs for tour but it was a great fiasco and poor services and lack of coordination was visible everywhere. One shud never travel by Thomas cook as they are big cheats and can make a u turn anytime leaving u high and dry.

                  Its a matter of sheer negligence as we go to holiday inn express at 9 pm after a tiring whole day and they say we dont have ur rooms. The next day they asked us to come back, is it a joke that we miss the city tour and pack our bags again and reload into coach to go to same hotel outside washington city around 25 km which ditched us last night.
                  Secondly we were bogged down near bakersfield for 6 hours and neither repairs were done nor we were shifted to safe place as forest fires were raging in that area and first they said bus is coming from la and then the bus came from fresno and we reached sfo by 1am instead of 3pm and whole day was wasted. Thomas cook offered free dine dance and drinks on last day to soothe us but we were so aghast that we refused that party in protest . the thomas cook cant run away by simple apologies it was clearly at fault and bus company and holiday inn need to be penalised.
                  We were put up in quality inn at washington which is 1.5* and were not upgraded at sfo even after a promise to do so as a compensation of bad experience at washington.

                      My parents have recently booked a Europe tour package with Thomascook India. Tour name is - Grand Bargain Europe with Spain and French Riviera, for 21 days/20nights. The issue I have faced is, at the time of booking, me and my parents have clearly mentioned to them that my parents would like to arrive in the UK 7-8 days prior to the actual departure date of the group tour, as the tours first destination is UK only. And we asked the cost and he verbally said it would be roughly around 5000 Rupee per person. We asked for this because, I work in the UK and this was our main motive to book the package, so that my parents could stay with me and have a tour around Europe at the same time. So he agreed it could be done with the cost and now since my father has paid him the money and booked the package, he has quoted my father to pay 20000 Rupee more per person, for arriving in the UK seven days before actual date. They are now not cooperating and now we feel like, once they have taken the money they will not work for customer satisfaction; but what they will work for is to just get it done. Me and my parents were so upset with the services they gave to us, but now since we have paid the money, we feel like we are bound to stick with them and go as they say. I am writing to you with a hope that you would help me with this and hopefully you will help me meet my parents and let me spend sometime with them at a decent price, which they earlier said. If you could look into the matter, I will be grateful to you.

                        I had booked asian wonders tour through aplus holidays, delhi.
                        Firstly i booked a tour to europe and london,
                        But due to visa rejection they considered us as if we ourselves cancelled the tour.

                        How can we go when the visa has been rejected?

                        Moreover cancellation fee (Rs. 40000) was also charged for the same.

                        When further asked about the exact timings for the tour no proper response was given.

                        Further, i want to tell u about our tour when we went on asian wonders 15th june to 25th june.

                        The complaints start as follows


                        1 - assigning a child in honeymoon couples room [ it was a new honeymoon couple who had to keep a kid with them, no privacy, a type of dharamshala opened ] i will send you proofs of all in attached mail

                        2 - busses were 3rd class we were told to get luxurious busses but ill show you the pics of our busses assigned

                        3 - heavy bags were not allowed in genting island [ we were not told earlier about this as one of our couple friend called his manager and was told to take bags rest were told that if you take bags 30 ringets fine would be there in genting
                        But when we asked over there, no fine was there for heavy bags.

                        4 - the guides assigned by red apple were manaerless they were irritating and always told us that we are fools who have come from india

                        5 - your people were saying that coke is a pesticide when we were drinking, now you tell sir do they have the right to say while we were drinking coke

                        6 - our lunches and dinners were not up to the mark [ we all got extremely cold food, when asked about that they answered that they can offer us such cold food only]

                        7 - 3days regular same food we all had to eat, what is this [ we were told all days lunches and dinners would have different variety and for non veg only 2 types of food for non veg every day

                        8 - in genting island indoor and outdoor games were closed if they were closed why we have to go there then

                        9 when we reached in malasiya the bus was not good, driver was smoking in the bus when we all stopped, no ac working properly

                        10 - 4. 6 kms way took 7 hrs [ we all were made fools ] penang till malaysia u just check is it 7 hrs drive from penang till malaysia. We should hav been earlier told the exact timings about that too earlier

                        11 - universal studio tickets were taken in 80 usd dollars as when we reached there but when we went outside there was a board saying 70 ringets is the price o[censored]niversal studio

                        12 - in cruise money was taken more as on sight seeing we were told to show 5 islands but the thomas cook people told us that we will go only to 2 islands

                        13 - there is no meaning to to to genting island if we dont get full day to spend time

                        14 - first day no breakfast no lunch moreover the rooms were allotted late

                        15 - rubbish is better than food given to us in first world hotel

                        16 - the first day we reached airport at 8 o clock [am ] and were told to sit in the bus and wait till 4 o clock pm to get rooms of keys and checkinns

                        17 - all other groups exept coach 3 were having luxurious busses

                        18 - we were taken to outlets for shopping at there own places decided earlier [ they had commissions in outlets as we all were told it is the cheaper place for shopping

                        19 - they have charged for singapore flyers [ the big wheel ] which was unsatisfactory

                        20 - co - members had to take taxi 3 times as they left them for night safari as we will send you the taxi bill also ] they left them in hotel without telling them

                        21 - in star cruise the room keys were given differently by exchanging names of keys written name [ wife names were changed with some other couples and keys were made with other couples printing there name in others room

                        22 - some of the couples had to wait for 4 hrs to open the room the keys were not working we had to go to receptions 2 - 3 times

                        23 - all tickets were changed seating arrangements in singapore airlines were different i came standing in the plane as my parents seat was with someone else in going and coming this was the main point why i got angry

                        24 - comember's money and shaving kit was taken out from his luggage as he gave a complaint in singapore airline as he reached the singapore airport [ complaint raised in singapore airline ]

                        25 - no phone number was given to couples including us after reaching singapore and meeting thomas cook people

                        26 - the thomas cook representative came late while we were waiting for them to meet us in singapore airline

                        28 - no thomas cook people helped me when my luggage was lost no duty to check inside the cruise to check passenger [ had to be in cruise and call for help from cruise staff

                        29 - i just feel we just gave them money which was not satisfied

                        30 - can u eat this type of food [ hard and cold roti ] i ask you and your staff can they eat this type of food


                        I am sending you the copy of pics and vedios that how they made us fools

                        Now its your time to take some action on it or filing case is better than talk because we have spent money earned by us and not for wasting. This is my final call for service quality people and one thing more mr vinod even said the food is really worse as we all told him to sit with us and eat food with us and feel why we all are saying like this to you

                        Only vinod was really good to us rest all were to make fools and even the red apple man was abusing us in his language as i knew but i dint said anything to him because we are in different country


                        If you could help me out of this then i would be greatful or i dont have any option as 43 members list i have it in my hand now u tell what should i do if you would be at my side

                        I want my money to be refunded including both
                        (Cancellation fee charged rs. 40000 and the tour money)

                            I, Srinivas Kittappa has booked for a Europe in the Jayanagar Branch Office and was represented by Suresh. The reference number is TCGDK03035. The complete tour package (2, 30, 000 rupees) was paid in the office, as the visa was not approved, I was not able to travel. Suresh had promised to process for the Refund and till date even after regular follow-up, we have not got any refund and getting more excuses. He has also collected extra amount assuring me to get the visa. No one in the office responds I have approached my lawyer as well as the local police station to take it up legally. I am having all the bills paid to the office. If Thomas Cook being a recognized agency is making the customers to round around so much, we can imagine the other issues.
                            Finally we were approached by Sambit Padhy, who was the branch manager and very helpful. We had a discussion and he understood the situation. He co-ordinated with his head office and helped us to refund the partial money after deductions which was due to airfare and hotel cancellation charges.

                              I did forex transaction with them on 4th May, 2015 with online portal and given them cash and card amount on 5th may. I thought the refund will be done in a week. I waited for 10 days but they didn't returned my refund. I called them more than 10 times from that time but still no refund. First they told me that refund in progress. After 25 days, they told me that refund is done but no amounted credited to my bank account. I asked them to provide transaction detail many times but they never replied back. Again I told them if they will not refund my money then I'll fire FIR against them then they told that you'll get the refund in 4/5 days. Then I waited another 10 days but no refund. They are making people frustrated. They are cheating people by asking booking amount online and not refunding it after that. I'm really surprised by their act.

                                I had booked the Asian Wonders holiday from 2nd June to 11th June. As per the planner and itinerary given (pdf page 5) and committed to us, we were supposed to get Ocean View Room on board the Star Cruise Libra. But when we boarded the ship we were allotted a room in lowest deck without ocean view. When we complaint to the tour manager available on board, he said he is not aware of the commitments and itinerary and will not be able to arrange for other room. This is sheer cheating on part of Thomas Cook. Please arrange for refund of money at the earliest.

                                PAYMENT FOR APPLYING VISA

                                MY TRAVELING DATE IS 21-MAY FOR EUROPE AND I WANT TO APPLY FOR SCHENGEN VISA IS THIS NECESSARY TO DO FULL PAYMENT FOR THE TRIP I APPLIED THOMAS COOK AGENT IS ASKING TO PAY FULL PAYEMENT THEN ONLY HE WILL PROCEED FOR VISA

                                  Myself Manoj Milani booked tour package named "EUROPE FOR ALL" on 9th April 2015 from your Nasik office at Mahatma Nagar. This was a 6 nights tour but due to the flight cancellation at Mumbai Airport we were given 5 nights where we missed our complete one day. Also, I faced lots of problems on Mumbai Airport after the flight was cancelled. I asked Eithad Representative to give me a stay somewhere as the flight was cancelled and they refused for the same due to which I had to roam all the night searching for hotel and could not found the hotel easily. It was a terrible day in my life. After requesting for compensation for 1 day, they are now refusing to pay refund of 1 day. These guys are really disgusting and I need my money back for the day it was missed and that terrible mess at mumbai airport.

                                    (Booking file no G[protected] We had planned our Europe trip 1 year in advance and have been waiting for it eagerly. I had booked the tour package East European Dhamaka (also known as Europe Just For You) by Thomas Cook India Limited, covering Budapest, Bratislava, Prague and Vienna, in 6 days 5 nights. Our journey date is 31 May 2015. The booking was done on 23 January 2015 by making an advance payment of Rs 30, 000. Sujit Kumar, of Lake Town branch of Thomas Cook visited my apartment to make the booking. Nilanjan Sadhukhan of the Visa division of Thomas Cook sent me a mail asking for all the visa related documents for applying Schengen visa through Czech Republic Embassy, all of which I submitted at the Lake Town Branch on 11 March 2015. After that that remaining dues of Rs 158, 430 was paid by me on 30 March by visiting the Lake Town branch. After this the experience started turning bad. And from bad to worse. On 12 April I received a email confirmation of the amount I have paid and it showed I have paid an excess of Rs 1, 469. I sent several emails claiming my refund but they were either not answered or stupid resons shown through sms messages. Till today, 25 May I have not received the refund of the excess I have paid. My mails, messages and phone calls to Nilanjan Sadhukhan of the Visa division and Sujit Kumar of the Lake Town branch in mid-April 2015 went answered. Sometimes I received 1 line superficial answers like they will update me shortly and have applied for the visa. I had travelled to Europe 1 year back with MakeMyTrip and they has arranged the Visa 1 and a half month in advance. Not only so, they were very helpful and called us up and provided helpful important information. We received none of these from Sujit Kumar of Thomas Cook. On 10 May 2015, 21 days prior to departure, Supriya Dutta of the Visa Department of Thomas Cook Kolkata called me urgently and said they have to provide additional documents to the Czech Republic Embassy including updated bank statement. When I said, why when I submitted my visa documents 2 months back on 11 March, my bank statements were updated. To this, Supriya Dutta replied they apply for visa 1 month prior to departure. Why were the documents wanted in March in that case? I submitted the additional documents by visiting Thomas Cook Shakespeare Sarani office in Kolkata on 11 May 2015. On 18 May, there was again another surprise waiting for me. Supriya Dutta of the visa division of Thomas Cook mailed me and said they are unable to process the visa for my 31 May journey through the Czech Republic Embassy, so they will apply fresh from Hungary Embassy and I had to submit several new documents including 3 documents that had to be notarized from a court. I had to skip work the next day on 19 May to arrange all papers once again and visiting a court and submitted the papers on 19 May at Thomas Cook Shakespeare Sarani office in Kolkata office. In the meanwhile Sujit Kumar of the Lake Town branch had promised to handover our international tickets and hotel bookings 7 days prior to departure (email proof is there), but failed to do so 7 days prior to journey. Without flight tickets and visa I was unable to apply for and get foreign currency necessary for travel, and international sim cards for our phones. Even today, on 25 May, with 5 days remaining for our Europe trip, there is no communication from Thomas Cook about the visa, flight tickets and hotel bookings. I am calling up the Lake Town Brach and the Visa division of Thomas Cook morning and evening for an update and they have no update and have to say there is huge rush at the Hungary Embassy for visa. This experience is in sharp contrast with the pleasant experience I had with MakeMyTrip.com I had last year. I am feeling tense and duped, and my family is waiting for this holiday for 1 year. My flight tickets to and back from Delhi (from where the journey commences) is already booked and they have no clue when they can give me and my family our Schengen visa to Europe and the tickets. I wish no one faces this terrible experience when they book a holiday. Being a media person, I will build awareness everywhere, through all complaint forums, all leading newspapers, and relevant forums about the experience I faced with Thomas Cook and discourage everyone from choosing the company for their Holiday trips.

                                      Hi, Booking ref no - F[protected]. It's been over 15 days since i have made the payment, and i haven't received any kind of booking confirmation mail. I believed in the brand thomas cook and i'm currently regretting my decision to trust you with my vacation. Please refund the amount at the earliest before i'm forced to take any legal course of action.
