Dear Sir/Madam, I bought a vodafone mobile prepaid card from my mobile device dealer of mulund, mumbai, india after submitting the required documents duly signed on 22.11.2011. I got it activated after 2 days after verification from concerned vodafone authorities. On 24.10.2013 I got an sms (don't even called me and informed) from vodafone stating that 'you have to submit your documents to your nearest vodafone gallery, otherwise service will be terminated'. And on the same day within hours itself my vodafone mobile services stopped. I submitted my documents on 26.10.2013 to your vodafone gallery in mulund, mumbai. They told me to wait for 10 days to get it activated. So I waited for 14 days, but nothing had happened. So I visited 2 times again to the same gallery, got a simillar reply 'very sorry, your number will be active within 2 hours'. But nothing had happened. Anyway finally it got activated on 16.11.201 (a long 25 days without mobile service to get my documents verified.). And above all my balance in account is nilled by vodafone. I contacted vodafone customer care and got a reply saying that 'DOT rejected my documents hence, number got disconnected. However after submitting fresh documents sim services are activate on 16/11/13. The balance from the prepaid account has been forfeited and won’t be carried forward.' Can anyone tell me where I am in fault... DOT should punish vodafone OR me. Can vodafone answer my questions... 1. How will I know whether the mobile dealer did / not submit my documents to vodafone?. If not how could they activate my number? 2. And if they did not submit the documents to you, why you did not inform me in the last 2 years period? 3. How much time did you give me to submit my documents? Why there is no oral communication to me in advance?. (Please note that I submitted the same documents which i submitted with local mobile dealer) 4. Why your person took 25 days to activate my service? So responsibile you are???? 5. I could not find a single mistake from myside, then who will compensate for my lost 25 days service and who will re-imburse my lost prepaid balance in my mobile number? And now I afraid that the simillar issue can happen with anyone or even with me again and dot will stop and my balance will be foreited even though I submitted all valid documents. Is it a way of earning additional income by vodafone. Why Vodafone who is keeping my documents made this mistake and not getting any punishment from DOT. DOT should punish vodafone for such an irresponsible behaviour? DOT punished me who is not in fault or not aware that my documents are not with vodafone. HOW CAN I RELY ON VODAFONE. I have issued a cheque (cheque # 873198 dated 24-08-13 amount Rs 299 Bank IOB ) as subscription fee for a year for issue TOI daily paper. We did get paper delivered till Oct 2nd week, not sure after that what happened we are not receiving papers. We asked the delivery people they asked us for a coupon which we have not got till now from Times of India. This is not the 1st time its happening for us as the last year was even worse we dint have have the paper delivered at all. When our local paper guy gave TOI agent contact no, he is not even bothered to attend the call after calling for more than a week. Shame on you people & have a standard for your company & dont cheat people. I want this issue fixed asap otherwise i am taking legal action against your company. You can contact me on [protected].

Had bought coupons for TOI and ET for delivery for an year in August 2013. However the time of delivery and surity that papers would be delivered always have been a question mark with vendors. Even the crm chennai fail to improve the service. Firstly the paper was started very late after the payment as well. Post complaining, it started but at 8.30 am. Who reads the paper at that time. Again post complaining the vendor got change and for a month or so it was delivered on time. Now, again suddenly the paper has stopped being delivered, and one good day a person comes and asks for coupon. We informed we were provided with one set of coupon which we have already given. He requested for duplicate coupon. Have asked the TOI team to refund the amount for both ET and TOI as anyways am paying extra monthly for both the papers now. They always fail to respond on this.

Hello, As you know newspapers in India are the lifelines for metro cities. So, I am one of regular readers for Times of India newspaper since years. Recently I have been located to Pimple Saudagar, Pune - Maharashtra, where the local newspaper distributors are forcing to purchase "Mirror" along with "Times of India". Together cost for which goes double for a daily need. When asked to distributor, they are responding that its being made compulsory by "Times of India". I wish "Times of India" to confirm, if this is being made by them as its being observed only on couple of areas in Pune (not all). If no directions from publisher, some strict actions to be taken by distributors as it’s a fraud against brands. My distributor name: Sai Enterprises, Pravin Mane, Pimple Saudagar, Pune, Maharashtra 411027, India. The cumulative cost for this force sell goes beyond lacks per month which is very high amount and by investigating, some strict actions to be taken on priority. My name is Rajesh, I have subscribed for one year paper of times of india.I received the coupon from times of india on 10th oct 2013. Till now no vendor called me to start issuing paper to my home. This times of india company customer service number is waste .the numer given by them is always busy or else ring will go continuously. They are hell in providing services. I sent mail to them for that also no response. Anyone take action on this. They received payment from me before one month. I don't know how many people were cheated by them like me. I had subscribed for TOI paper and I am with it for last 3 years. Recently (from beginning of October) in my area (Pune, Kalewadi area) newspaper agents have forced us to buy “Pune Mirror” paper along with TOI. When asked about it, agents have replied that Times group has made it compulsory. Considering the quality of news in “Pune Mirror”, I am not interested to buy it as compulsory thing. Anyhow forcing someone to buy an unwanted item is a violation of consumer rights. So I want TOI to look into this and resolve this complaint at the earliest (else for sure, TOI will lose lot of readers who are with them for longtime).

HI My subscription ID is 31551081. I have subscribed for TOI in the month of April for 1 year by paying 169(check)+30(cash). the issue here the local distributor not delivering the paper regularly, in September I have not received the paper for 15 days and I called both the distributor as well as TOI person but I didn't see any change until I raise complaint with TOI. Now in the month of October it has been more than a week since I last received my news paper. I have almost lost a month news paper and i don't see any action taken against the local distributor though he has been repeat this twice in a month. I am writing to in pain for loosing 15 days of my news paper every month since sept and no action from TOI after several complaints. Regards

I have been avide reader of TOI for last ten years but now in pune vendor are not giving TOI without pune mirror and charging 3 rupees for pune mirror. I think this is unfair you can't force us to buy pune mirror along with TOI.

I dont know whether this is TOI policy or local vendor are doiung it here(Pimple Saudagar Pimpri) but at the end we loyal customer of TOI are sufferring and forcing us to other paper

Sir, My name is Yadram. I am a regular subscriber of Times of India(eng) and Nav Bharat (hindi) newspapers of Delhi edition. I Live in Village & Post Office - Dhool Siras, Sec-24, Dwarka, New Delhi 110077. My contact no. is [protected] and email is [protected]@gmail.com My complain is that:- 1. My newspaper distributer/supplier is not supplying me full newspaper specially NBT. He does not give magzines. If paper consist of 30 pages, he gives only 20 pages . He also does not give promotional magzine like Dwarka magzine/classifieds magzines etc. On complaing the incomplete paper, he replies we have received this much only. They do not give the phone no of the main person controlling the distribution. They bring the paper from somewhere from dwarka sector 22/23/not known side. This is their daily affair. 2. Since I am subscribing TOI and NBT both, They do not charge combo price, but charges money seperately for TOI and NBT. On asking, they say now this scheme is not there. I feel that they sell the magzine/classifieds to Kabadis and make money. Secondly they charge wrongly for both papers and not charging combo offer prices. Please clarify if combo scheme exist. Please provide the Details of distributer/supplier of my area with their phone nos. and your customer care/supervisor of my area so that I can make complain directly to them. I am staying at Ruby Park, Park Street, Wakad. My newspaper distributor is saying it is compulsion to subscribe "Pune Mirror" along with daily newspaper "The Times Of India" which costs additional Rs. 3.00 per day.
Last year I fought for this and after almost 4 months he stopped doing so. But from 01-OCt-2013 he started doing same.
When questioned he saying this is compulsion from main centre only.
I am really surprised about this statement.

Can any official from The Times Group clarify on this. Thanks.

I Narinder Nagpal, is the victim of carelessness and totally unprofessional business approach from a newpaper like Times Of India !! It's a great shock in my life that the persons, who were representing on the behalf of TOI, is not bothered to think about TOI clients as they are sitting in kolkata while I am waiting for some justice in DELHI Actually I had gone at the site of TOI-Delhi to book an AD whereas It has taken me to their PARTNER site i.e. RELEASE MY AD.COM in Kolkata. They booked my Ad and assured that FRIDAY-The 13/9/13 is their BUSINESS focus day.Thereafter in this regard too much communication was carried on but on the day of 13/9/13 my AD was placed in their Massage Services and Friendship related Focus day which was entirely useless for me, since, at such Focus day, only JOYRIDE seekers search the paper and make their weekend entertaining. Thats why TOI provide them such services on the eve of SAT and SUN, Now,in such a scenario Can any body think that an EDUCATION based BUSINESS AD will get any good response. Therefore I didnot get any response. Thats why I have lost my 9000 rs. instantly because on the same FRIDAY my AD got published in 19 newspapers through out INDIA but I recieved just 6 calls from all over India. AND it was expected,because I was selling the MILK in a BAR. And it was their routine modus-operandi since they had to fill their SPACE and they did it successfully. I cried like a baby and made some calls/mails to Customer Care but did not get any Positive response, I made a 6 page email to the Editor but that returned back with the ERROR. Since then,I am mailing them every alternate day but they are paying no heed, because they are In Kolkata while I am in Delhi. Therefore, I plea to the Authorities to take some stern and punitive ACTIONS to get back my 9000/. I will be highly obliged. This is real crap from such a reputed company TOI.you people doesnt even inform whom to contact and to give this voucher to.we consumers have to keep ringing you people to keep asking and your customer representative says i will get a call,but its utter nonsense..no calls..already going to be 10 days from the day of subscription.i would request you to refund my money back.i cannot keep ringing you ppl back.... Myself staying in Kattupakkam Chennai-56. On 13th March I subscribed your paper for one year and the Cheque number is 636540. Since then I got paper hardly 15 to 20 days in total. I called many times to the customer care number [protected]. Every time they will tell your issue is resolved it won’t happen again, But still the same. No one is responding to my query. Hi Times of India,

I have subscribed for the yearly subscription. The moment I gave the call, people have come and taken the cheque. But now, till date I have not got the news paper. I would have called the TOI office more than 15 times. They give one standard reply, "48 hours your problem will be solved". But the problem remains the same.

Now I am fed up and started asking to repay the amount I paid. For that also the answer is same "48 hours your problem will be solved". Only 48 hours is passing, resolution is yet to be arrived.

I strongly recommend that you don't need to buy this paper any more with the kind of service you guys are getting.

Please have a watch on the same.

with the change of address being effected by you during the first week of June, there has been irregular distribution of TOI copy to me. I have made so many representations to your office but in vain. hence i visited your office on 23/07/2013 and handed over a personal letter asking to refund the balance amount. i was attended by one Mr.Rajan who assured me that the money would be refunded in a couple of days. however, till 01/08/2013 there had been no response. again i made repeated calls to your office for knowing the status. but i was told that the problem would be settled the next day. on 02/08/2013 someone claiming to be from TOI called me over mobile phone from mobile number [protected] at 7.33 a.m. and terminated the call within a single word. hence i dialed his number three times from 7.47 a.m to 8.11 a.m. but there was no response from the person. hence i waited till 9.20 a.m. and finally called ur office asking for Circulation Manager. but this occasion too Mr.Rajan came to the scene and after a long scathing argument on both sides, he dared to face legal encounter in this regard. however i gave time till 18.00 hrs on 02/08/2013/. as there has been no response from ur side till this moment and as Mr.Rajan challenged for legal proceedings in this regard, i have no other option but to seek proper legal forum for suitable remedy. with the cause of breach of trust, breach of contract and negligence of obligation from ur side to the customer, it highly tatamounts for me to knock suitable legal forum. as such, you are liable for all that expenses and compensation that may occur in this regard without any compromise,

Hi,
I have subscribed for TOI daily newspaper for a year and paid by a cheque in advance as on date 11-May-2013.

Initially when i didn't received a issue, i called the vendor and this continued for whole month but of no use. Later he started disconnecting the call from my number.

Then i registered the complaint with TOI, complain Number #764784. In the first call i got assurance that my problem will be addressed shortly when not i called again and was reassured and then this continued for again month or so. In the mean time i was given various phone numbers to talk to , connected to their seniors, their area executive but of no surprise nothing worked.

I hear by taking my problem to the light in front of you. and hope it will be taken care of. Any help would be highly appreciated.
