Dear Sir,
On 26th April, 2018, while paying the cheque for my postpaid connection at the Vodafone Store in Kurian Towers, Bannerji Road, Cochin. It was informed to the Customer Care Executive at this Vodafone store to deactivate the international roaming facility from my postpaid connection with Vodafone. The Vodafone Customer Care executive assured that the international roaming facility will be deactivated immediately.
In the belief that the Vodafone Customer care executive had discharged his duty, I had while travelling to China on 21st May, 2018, bought a China sim from the departure lounge of the Cochin International airport, for my use while travelling to China. The copy of the bill for the China sim purchased from the airport is attached for your review. To my utter shock and disbelief while I was waiting for my connecting flight to China at the Colombo airport, I received a call on my phone. It was at this time, I realised, the Vodafone Customer Care executive had not deactivated the International roaming facility from my monthly plan with Vodafone and the Vodafone Customer Care executive had failed to discharge in duty as promised by him, while accepting my payment on 26th April 2018.
Having realised, the international roaming facility had not been deactivated by the Vodafone Customer care executive, On 22nd May 2018, early in the morning, I emailed the Vodafone Store to deactivate the international roaming facility from my plan and this facility was deactivated on 22nd May 2018.
Due to the failure of the Vodafone Customer Care executive to discharge his duty in a timely manner, I have been billed excessive charges for Mobile Internet, when I had already purchased a China Sim with basic Mobile internet already included in the China sim. I request your goodself to consider my plea favorably and instruct Vodafone Mobile Services Limited to waive the excessive Mobile internet charges from my bill. All copies of the communication with Vodafone and copy of the bill paid on 26th April with seal and stamp of the Vodafone Store at Kurian Towers is attached alongwith this complaint.
I humbly and sincerely hope you will consider my plea favorably and you will request Vodafone to reverse these mobile internet charges from my bill, especially because, it was a failure by the Vodafone Customer care executive in discharging his duties. Thank you.
