I am the owner of tvs apache rtr 180. Bearing reg. No. As 01 dj 5613. I have purchased it in the month of june 2017 from joyshree tvs, guwahati. I am facing problems from the bike from 1st servicing onwards but the service centre assured me that after completition of all the free servicings the bike will get better, so i waited but even after the completion of all the servicing, the problems of the bike were not solved. Everytime after servicing the bike feels good for 2-3 days then again the same problems arise and i need to take my bike to the service centre. Visiting tvs service centres became a weekly/ monthly routine for me. The vibration issue increased day by day.

I am a student of gauhati commerce college, guwahati and a singer and keyboardist by profession. I started going to college on bus, taxi, rickshaw etc leaving my apache 180 in my home because it was not fit to ride such a bike. Initially after facing the problems also i used to go to college on bike which is 12km from my home, reaching college my hands, back, leg used to pain and also certain discomfort in my testicles area so i stopped taking the bike to collegemany people know me because of my cultural field. They ask me why i am going to college on bus, taxi, etc so everybody knows about my problems in our college and neighbourhood but i have never uttered a bad word about tvs as i was a big fan of tvs.
The main issues which i faced with the bike are vibrations from very low rpm (3000) in the handle bars, fuel tank, seat, foot peck i. E whole body of the bike. Also low throttle response, rpm fluctuations on its own (I have video of the rpm fluctuations).
Even after doing all 5 servicings in tvs authorised service centre the problems were not solved so i complained to the service centre joyshree tvs where i have done four of my servicing, but they said that the bike is ok and there is no issue, they didn't believe to what i said. So i have approached the territory sales manager first then area service manager of tvs motor company area office guwahati on 13th july, 2018. I told him about the problems i faced and requested a replacement of the bike because even after repairing it for so many times the problems are not solved. But he refused my requests and requested me to visit joyshree tvs service centre and said this time the problems will be solved. But after taking delivery of the bike on 14 july, 2018 i was not satisfied. I was facing the same problems. It was very uncomfortable to ride the bike.
As currently i am a student my exams were going on so was not able to contact them immediately but i again approached joyshree service centre and asm, tvs motor company, guwahati regarding the problems. Seeing no positive response i also registered a complain in the tvs website on 9th aug 2018 (Complaint no.-116271). Joyshree service centre again repaired the bike and also changed certain parts but after taking delivery i faced the same issues of vibration and rpm.
This time i lost my patience and my family members adviced me to get rid of this bike anyway and get a new one from tvs. So, i approached the asm and told the idea of exchanging this bike with a new one. I also told him to give me a good amount of discount as it was just 1year i bought the bike on cash so now my family can’t afford so much money in the new bike. He assured me a good amount of discount. So i waited because my exams were going on and during durga puja i shall get the bike. After my exams got over i contacted him and he offered me a discount of[protected] was already there as durga puja discount and 3000 from area office) and exchange value of 1.3 years apache 180 was 60000.in today’s world 3000 rs is nothing but he said he can’t give more. At that time i visited suzuki they offered me exchange value 60000 and discount 5000rs which was way more better then what tvs offered from the fact that i am a tvs customer was facing problems due to the company’s product. I requested asm for some more amount of discount but he said no more then 3000.
I didn’t have so much money to give so i had no other option then to again visit service centre and repair the bike. My family cannot afford now to give[protected]rs. After taking delivery of the bike on 15 oct, 18 the bike had the same issues. The service manager said they found no vibration issue on the bike. Also the asm told me not to contact him for all these things again and said that he was not the concerned person for these and i should talk with the dealership. But i was totally shocked because the tvs area service manager said he is not the concerned person for service related issue.
§ so it was like the tvs service centre and tvs asm said that i was lying that i have issues in my bike.
§ they never cared for my problems.in the whole process i was little dissatisfied with the product but i am totally dissatisfied with tvs service.
§ your service people don’t know how to treat customers. They argue with customers.
§ they give customers a dirty bike after complain service and customer have to argue with the service manager to get his bike washed.
§ customer has to argue to get his problems solved in a tvs service centre.
§ service people challenge customers.
Its enough i am no more going to your poor tvs service centre where people don’t know how to talk to a customer. Your area service manager says he is not the concerned person for service issues, he always talk to me in a rude way. That shows the tvs company customer support.
I have tried selling this bike to individual customers but they disagree to buy sensing the vibrations. I will try for some for days and if i cant get any customer then i will throw it to the guwahati munucipal corporation garbage dump because currently the bike is a useless thing for me. Because i need to go to college on bus, my father goes to work on foot with his broken leg.
Your company people don’t know that a satisfied customer can bring 1000 people and a dissatisfied customer can kill 1000 customers. Teach them. I will never buy a tvs product again in my life and also make sure that none of my friends, relatives ever buy.
Now i want a complete permanent solution to my problems or else i will have no other option then to sell this bike to scrap or throw it to dustbin and buy a second hand scooter because i don’t have money to buy a new bike. The bike is currently dangerous to ride because eveytime i ride it i feel pain my testicles area, hands, back as there is high amount of vibration in the seat and fuel tank area.
I hope this time the company will care for the customer problems. I have all the neccasary service job cards and receipts with me which you can verify.
