Yesterday evening around 7:00 pm i have booked a cab for 2 seats from 21b, rafi ahmed kidwai rd, taltala, kolkata, west bengal 700016, india to raja subodh chandra mallick rd, jadavpur, kolkata, west bengal 700032, india using uberpool. I was supposed to charge rs. 100/- for 2 seats (50/- each seat) but at the time of deboarding i noticed that the app is showing an abnormal fare of rs 513.99/- which is next to impossible in uberpool. Before booking of this cab i have checked the price of both ubergo & uberx. Both the two options was showing around 250 rupees to 350 rupees. I want to know the exact reason of showing such an abnormal fare of rs. 513.99. How is this possible in a company like uber. Keep in mind one thing i[censored] fails to give me any satisfactory reason, then i will move to consumer forum and lodge a complain against your company. Following are the fare details of my trip :- fare breakdown base fare 30 distance 89.31 time 57.72 normal fare ₹ 177.03 surge x2.9 336.36 subtotal ₹ 513.39 charged cash ₹ 513.39

On 22/09/2016 i have received an e mail from uber regarding my complaint. The reply details is given below:-

Hello Deep,

Thanks for writing to us. I am Kishore from the Community Operations team at Uber. I am a part of the team that handles escalated queries.

UberPOOL Is designed in the form that you have you have resisted pickup locltion and destination and if you don't get down on the destination the trip gets converted to UberGo and hence the charges get changed.

You have leverage of 600 meters but you got dropped off more than 1210 meters from destination so the prices were changed to UberGo with the applicable dynamic surcharge.

Let me inform you one thing that i have not get down from cab beyond the destination i have booked for. I have booked that particular cab from 21B, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Rd, Taltala, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016, India to jadavpur 8B bus stand. But i have not gone to jadavpur 8B bus stand and before reaching the particular destination i have left the cab at 391, Prince Anwar Shah Rd, Jodhpur Park, Kolkata, West Bengal 700068, India. Then how it is possible to convert the cab from uberpool to something else. The distance of 21B, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Rd, Taltala, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016, India to 391, prince anwar shah road is less than 1 kilometer from 21B, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Rd, Taltala, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016, India to Jadavpur 8B bus stand. The reply you have given to me against my complaint is not at all satisfactory. You can ask that particular cab driver Mr. Sanjeew for the entire trip description. He will clear the things. This is not expected from a company like UBER.Kindly look into this matter and do the needfull from your end ASAP.
The matter is still unresolved.

    Hi I am a 27 year old female software professional working in bangalore.Last night i boarded a Uber cab from city Market to JP Park. The driver started looking at me in the mirror and started to make sexual remarks.I asked him to stop the cab but he did not.Once we reached near my house the cab driver started molesting me and he caught my hand and tried to grab my purse.I started to shout and after i started screaming he fled the scene.I wanted to file a police complaint against the driver and will report it to the media.I have his photo and his phone number.His number is switched off.I want the Uber Authorities to contact me, so that i can explain everything in detail.If there is no response from the uber authorities i will got to the media for justice.Please do the needfull .       There was an offer run by uber india - recharge paytm by rs 222 and get the 20% discount on trip. i have recharged my paytm and book an ride thru uber. i haven't received cashback for the same, while complaint thru app received revert that they are not aware for such offer please contact paytm.

      There is no proper response by uber care. and they didn't have any helpline to resolve customer complaint.

        Hi, yesterday I had sent in a complaint to uber about being charged for a cancelled ride, the reply I received was that I had not sent it through my registered email, my registered email which is showing on my uber profile is [protected]@gmail.com.
        Again i would like to bring to your notice that yesterday 19th September I had booked an uber from AAEI kolkata but cancelled it within few minutes. The app showed that the trip was cancelled. I again booked a uber from Beltala to new aipore, however I had to pay for the cancelled ride...which is very unethical. sitting on the cab i called CS but the guy told me that he could not access my account as he had no authority, so what is the use of having CS if a customer cannot get help on the spot???

        Finally I had to pay the driver the full amount, can uber explain why?
        and if this amount is not refunded I would like to disconnect being your customer and will shift to other providers.

          Hi,

          I have taken one car in july'16 from uber with an agreement stating that we will have to pay rs 800 + 20% of daily earning to them as commission. they asked to deposit rs35000 as security however i was not able to continue with uber so i returned them the car on 12 september 2016. now they are not refunding my security deposit and also they are still deducting daily rental of rs 800 from my bank account which is not authorized.

          My desirable resolution would be to get my security deposit back from them and any other deduction done wrongly.

            I travelled on 17 Sep 16 in Vizag in an uber cab after adding ₹222 in my paytm wallet. The offer was to get 20% cash back after adding ₹222 in paytm wallet. The cash back is still awaited. Also one driver denied duty earlier therefore I had to cancel that trip and book another cab of the same company.Two days have passed but still no one has credited the amount. Plz do the needful

            Hello sir, i am Rakesh Kumar .Driver name is Bhupinder i think Cab No is 4129 Celerio i booking my destination saheed bhagat singh college to kalawati hospital CP. i already tolk this cab driver he said sir i'll come in 5 min but afer 5 min he cancelled my booking why...tell me... ...? or please take immediately action for this driver...!
            He is charging two times entry fee from UP to ghaziabad. Rest of like ola and other cab charge only one entry charge. Pl look in to this.

              I booked an Uber cab on 17 Sep 16 at 5:55pm .
              the pick up was from Noida. the driver cancelled the pickup .
              i placed another request the Driver's name was Kamal . i went till Mayur Vihar Extn was charged Rs 80 for cancellation. since the cancellation was not done by me, I request for the amount to credited to my next trip. i paid the amount as i had no option then .

              Your Agent Lokesh from South, Driver Bijender [protected] & Kuldeep-[protected] are most Uncultured one. I am sorry to informed you that hence i would proffered OLA rather than Uber. At least OLA has customer care.
              Uber is one of the most useless service in the India &this feedback i would spread out all over the Indian social site. Uber doesn't have any customer support system. uber Agents are uncultured and Drivers are most Disaster. you are a fraud, charging hidden cost from passengers. Drivers cancel their trip, uber is charging money from passengers.

                Many drivers use Mock GPS tools to fake GPS and their trips. It makes them free to earn the trip amount without even travelling. Also lot of fake IDs are being used to create fake trips and make money. Is this advised ? Honest way of earning is what we all expect. With this many who really does hard work also get affected and people earn money without minimal efforts

                I have just traveled from Panjagutta flyover to Manikonda Harmoney heavens block at Hyderabad city the driver charged me 690 rupees kindly look at this and please try to resolve as soon as possible i need by half fare back and the driver speaking way is not good way

                  Uber cabs cheating for car owners
                  1. uber drivers support service is very worst.
                  2. toll charges cheating cab owners.
                  3. airport toll sometimes not added in our bill.
                  4. airport drop & pick up distance charge & toll mostly cheating for cab owners.
                  5. incentives are most cheating for cab owners.
                  6. no peak our charges collected in peakhours
                  7. diesel rate to high to every day but uber collect only 6 per km it is very low cost ( it is only cost of diesel per km) but other cost ?
                  8. uber money is also cheated
                  9. totally uber admin is wasted .( management also).

                    UBER PooL was disabled from my mobile application after sending a complain mail to UBER. (Issue was, Driver was not aware about the pick up/drop policy).
                    I installed the application again but dint find the option.

                    It has the worst customer service.

                    Kindly update the correct & valid customer care contact details. As i am trying to reach your customer care since yesterday

                          I booked a uber car through paytm. Driver did not come to my my place and uber payment receipt is generated for 106.62 rupees. If i opened the receipt, it shows that i have traveled 3.53 miles with ride time of 11.97 minutes with x1.4 surcharge.

                            My name is jeet sharma working in HCL .I booked uberpool cab on 13th sep 2016 with the driver name Thulasingam white indica car number 4900 from my home place Navalur to work place HCL sholinganallur. At the end of the trip my app was showing 56 rupee to pay but in drivers app it was showing 165 rupee to pay. i call to customer care of Chennai but they also didn't help me out with this and told me to pay 165 rupee to the driver and said that they will refund me back . They also said me that there is no customer care number exist in uber system you have to write a mail to uber . This statement from such a huge company is embarrassing. this issue of fare change i am facing from past one month . kindly take some action against this issue.

                            I have a very worst experience with Uber. i booked a cab from Zakir nagar to noida sector 18.But the Driver cancel the Ride Without no reasons. Again i booked a Cab but they will included extra cancellation charges.
                            I booked 3 cabs out of which 1st cab not waited and went off without informing, 2nd cab refused to go at destination for which I have been charged 60+60 its is not fare.
                            I was charged more fare than was shown in uber pool in my last trip today on 08-09-16. It was shown 72 rs but the driver took 144 rs. I need an explanation.While booking the uber pool the fare that was shown was much lower than what the driver charged from us. Y such a difference in the amount .The driver name is Alam.

                              Really Disgusting! This is the condition of National Capital Region, the biggest frustration people facing here is conveyance and moreover traffic. Nobody is hell bothered about 9-10 hours of jobs extending to 12, 13, 14, 15 hours and so on.

                              A person going to office or market thinks to book Uber/ Ola, the first question the driver asks is “DROP KAHA KA HAI”- i.e. Where is your drop location. Whereas, it’s clearly mentioned in Uber’s rule book that the driver is not suppose to ask the drop location, not a big deal the rules are as fake as the company is. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, either the driver switches his mobile off, or standing at one position he will say that I am not able to track your location or even he will just sit over it and cancel the trip after 15 min with no intimation. This is not something that happens once or twice a week, this is something that happens twice/ thrice a day. Then for all the cancelled trips they will deduct 80/- (per trip), now if a person doesn’t have the time to write them the incidence happened, they will not even return the money back.

                              Even after my last complain to uber, I attached the screenshots and sent them, these people apologized and gave me vouchers to close the matter and said that this will not happen again. But what next, moreover the driver has the guts to say that “JAO KAR DO COMPLAIN” or “Okay, Jisse kehna hai kaho”. Because what worst, just that they will not get the day’s incentives, nothing more then that. Everybody is just into money printing business, and who is the sufferer, just the common man.

                              Frustrated person, at last when goes to an auto wala so either he will be on strike or he asks for money as per his choice, because there are no rules. Nobody is there to check. Why is the common man working so much, just to get frustrated and depressed, for he is helpless for so many things and at last he should be happy that he has money to get admitted in a branded hospital. Anybody in India can strike for any non sense thing demanded, what should a common man do. Leave all his work and strike for the thousand things that he has to face because of wrong people into business. What is the government doing, what are the uber managers doing.

                                Today morning I book a ride with uber pool and the driver arrived and he refused to give a drive and asked me to cancel the cab.

                                To book new cab I cancel that. But the driver never cancelled it. And I couldn't get any cab.

                                This was absolutely the fault in the drivers side. In this issue why I should pay or accept the cancellation fee.

                                This is the second time. If the drivers don't want to pick the customers at their venue then why the hell they need to accept the booking. Just BS procedure. Change ur in ethic business structure. And charge ur driver if they cancelled the cab. First and most importantly ask customers feedback and do react. Pl don't blondly work on ur mad drivers.

                                After introducing UBER pool, UBER is charging more money for the trips in normal times also. In peak times, again it is horrible. We do not know what they are thinking a common man. But for a common man, it is very very difficult to travel in the cabs in emergency situation also. It is better i[censored]BER will decrease the rates.

                                  9/9/16 booked in the name of rameshbabu fromt T.nagar to kolathur chennai the estimated amt shown in the mob is 163rs. but when we reached the destination the amt showed in drivers mobile is 314Rs.Even though he agreed the amt is too high he insisted us to pay the amt and later reg the complaint.So i request u to refund the extra amt or else send me confirmation that u will deduct the extra amt in my next ride.
                                  please reply within 24 hrs or else i will take legal action against ur cab

                                  My family is frequent user o[censored]ber Service, but very often I see Uber drvier take the booking and after asking the destination, which is 15-20 KM away, cancel the trip, I have taken this to uber but they reply didnt helped to resolve this issue and issue is still happening .

                                  This is denial of service.

                                    I updated my Paytm wallet o[censored]ber with Rs.200 on Sunday(11/09/2016) evening at 7.59 pm. I also booked a ride to Howrah Kadamtala and the kilometer I travelled with the driver Shaid at 10.05 pm was 21.39 and the trip time was 00:48:35 vehicle Ubergo against which I paid 228.26 in cash to the driver as he asked for that. now when I am checking my Paytm balance it is showing 0.00.

                                    How this is possible that you have taken cash payment and also deducted Rs 200 from my Paytm balance???

                                    This is an absolute harassment to customer and I will surely take a legal action against uber if this is not resolved immediately.

                                      I have book a Uber cab on 11 sep 2016 at around 7.30 pm. Usually Uber cab drivers come to your location without even guiding them, but anyway i called my cab driver and informed him to come to my location. But instead he enquired about my drop location as normally cab drivers do, and i shared where i wished to be drop. And than he said he is having his meal so asked me to wait for 10 min, so since i was in no hurry i said ok in turn i walked near the cab thought i will wait till he finishes his meal. But in turn i found him in his cab relaxing and brousing on his phone, he bluntly lied to me on phone. He just praked his vehicle and waiting for me to cancel when i approched him and ask why the hell did he lied to me and thanin reply he arrogantly asked me to cancle my ride and ruddely guestured me to get the hell out of there. He didn't even bother when i said i will lodge a complain, in a way i felt i was nothing. I protested in return and asked him to cancel but everything went in vain. And to my suprise i couldn't even find any option on uber app to lodge a complain aganist cab driver, it seems like Uber knows what type of drivers there are recruiting. So they dint even bothered to add customer service option to there app.

                                      After few minutes i got a message stating that my cab arrived and i dint board the cab in the given time hence charging 50 rs for cancelation of your trip.

                                      I thought at least Uber cab service is very professional but found out to be very horrific service.

                                        This is in regards to the sudden suspension of my Uber account for no reason. On 12/8/16, I opened my Uber app to book a ride only to realise that the account has been blocked. I mailed Uber support regarding the same and asked them to provide a resolution.

                                        I received a reply from them stating that the "internal review system" has qualified my account for suspension and it is final and binding. This mail did not mention any specific reason. So, I asked for a specific reason for the suspension to which the only reply I received was that they are not in a position to disclose any reason and I would not be able to access their services in future.

                                        The only concern I have is why was my account suspended. There were no multiple registrations, fare was never delayed. It was only after the last mail that I tried to register with a fresh email but to no avail. Uber India, please reply

                                        My sister booked UBER this morning. It took 15 MINUTES for him to arrive. We waited. When he arrived he asked for return charges, and behaved badly . And we cancelled the trip... what if this happens night time...

                                        Uber is negative customer service these days...
