On 9th october, at 12:30 a. M. When i booked uber for the distance of just 10.48 km and whose normal fare is rs 124/- but its has charged rs. 473.97/-.

The problem was when i booked the cab it was showing rs. 228/- and when i ended the trip it was rs. 473/-.

As per the fare detail, the surge was x 3.8

Now as per the rule if i confirmed the charge at the time of booking, it should be the same at the time of ending. Be it normal charge or overcharge.

Showing a price at the time of booking and charging more than double of it is a fraudulence.

I have to say just because of the festive season, the company is cheating the passenger.

    Today in the afternoon at about 4 pm I booked your taxi for going from dombivli east bhaswan apartment to manisha bldg near ganesh mandir kastur park borivli west . Estimeted fare was informed to me Rs.634.86, Your car details : MH04GD6394 toyoto driver pankaj On arrival in Borivli at 7.30 pm Your car driver claimed RS.1005/- as against the above estimated fare.[In your mobile ap installed in the car] Your driver could not explain the reasons for excess charges claimed. Please investigate in the matter and advise me suitably.

    Whilst on the subject I also bring to your kind notice that today morning only we availed your services for travelling from panvel sector 4 to bhaswan dombivli east.Your car driver Mr Mangesh Patil mob [protected] - you claimed travelling chgs of RS .353/- which were informed to us as esteemated charges at the beginning.

    We await your communicationat your earliest.

    The drive charged extra for the ride. Inspite o[censored]sing the promo code for 75 rupees off on the ride. The taxi was swift dezire drivers name Rakesh. He charged us Ed.300 while the fare was 148 rupees.

      Hi guys,
      I chose uber for a ride on thursday when i booked uber it showed me that ride payment would be around 350 Rs
      but when i completed my ride the driver charged me 1.9x.
      how can you charge 1.9x after i book the charge without my consent ??

      when i i booked the cab it did not show me 1.9x ...
      and the total fare charged was 659Rs although i had 50rs discount and i should ve charged 609 worse case.

      guys lets join hands and SUE uber and make this fraud UBER to not cheat the customers anymore.

      Lets sign a petition against UBER.

        On 6th oct 2016, i had booked a cab at hyderabad, telengana, in uber pool. The drive didn't called me or neither his location changed a bit. The notification in uber app shows, he is arriving, also he is looking for other customer to share. After 10 minutes i called him. He didn't pick, so does the next 3 times.. It's almost 20 minutes now, i called him again to get a grim response from him telling he is far away, will take 20-30 minutes, better cancel trip. I had no other option. But cancelled the trip and book another cab from uber only. But for all this, i am the one who was penalised. Uber took rs 60 from me, in which the fault was entirely theirs. Please look into and do the necessary.

        Driver took more money by moving around at the same place so many times.i want to go mukkejee nagar to new delhi railway station.but first he went rajeev chawk and then cp and took 2 to 3 rounds of cp then ito n then at the railway station.vaery bad experience it was, that guy .friends never book uber .driver name is dileep and his contact no [protected]

          On 3rd oct'16, i had booked a cab at bhubaneswar, odisha. The drive misbehaved over phone and finally told me that he is coming to destination but he did't came after my regular follow up. Lastly he did't pick my call too. Finally i had missed my bus from bhubaneswar to baripada. I had to suffer a lot. I have all call recording between me and driver. Cab details - white swift dezire, no - 0061, booking time was 10 pm and drive mobile no - +91 [protected].

          Please contact me on +91 [protected] otherwise i have to go for legal.

          I have booked uber on 06/10/2016 and the driver has cancelled the trip by his side, because he went o reporting to police station for accident with his car on the way to pick up location, still Rs.60 has been charged to me.
          This should not happen?

          I traveled with Uber this morning ie., 03rd October 2016 from Majestic bus stand to Banashankari 2nd stage Bangalore and I paid 121.75 which was the actual amount and my promo code which was supposed to be 75 didn't come up in the details of the driver phone.

            I called a cab on 3rd Oct at 7.15 am but the driver who called and told me that he will take fifteen minutes to reach, called up again after 5 min to say that he cannot make it because the location is too far. I just said ok, although it was very difficult. After that when I took a cab again the next morning, I was charged Rs 80 for cancelling a ride. I DID NOT CANCEL, the driver did. So why was I charged?
            Also the cab driver of that day told me that as he owns the cab, the more fare he gathers, the more money he will make. He asked me if I could change my drop-off location on reaching so that the empty cab he will take to his next destination also gets him money. When I refused to do so, he got angry and although the fare quote was between 384-426, I was charged 578/- for the ride.
            He said that if I had helped him by changing the drop-off location, he would have taken only 400/-
            My complaint is that why am I the customer being charged for the fault of these two drivers, one who refused to come and the other who tried to manipulate me into cheating the company.

              Dear Uber,

              I am extremely happy for providing good service at our door step. I am happy to say that I have used ur services even at Trivandrum recently. But I have faced some problem with payments as some drivers have collected cash and the same is not reflecting in your app on my mobile which resulting double rate for the rides used.

              The following are the two rides on which I have made double payment on my rides.

When I found that I have got cheated by the driver immediately I have made a call to the mobile no and the person lifted my call asked me to keep a complaint with Uber.

              In the second trip at Hyderabad, I have booked Uber for my relatives and they have made the cash payment to the driver and the same was not updated on my app immediately. The outstanding of Rs.202.48 was appeared when I was booking for yesterdays ride and the driver has collected the amount of Rs202.48 along with his ride fare 54.33.

              Hence, I request you to pursue the matter seriously and see that my wallet will be credited with the extra amounts paid to you ie., Rs.321.35 ASAP.

                I am in chennai and i was charged a cancellation fee on tuesday evening (04/10/2106) which was cancelled by my driver even before reaching the pick up location. He was at velacherry and my pick up location was sp infocity, perungudi as these two locations are not closer.
                He cancelled my trip from velacherry due to long distance.
                Now i was charged 50rupees extra for that driver's cancellation on my thursday morning trip (06/10/2016) which doesn't involve me at all.
                It was uber's fault of connecting me to a driver who is at a far distance and charging money on me as i did cancel it also.
                The driver said it will take him 30 minutes to reach pick up location. I then informed the driver that i will wait there. Even after that, posing charges on me for his cancellation is so unfair.
                I want my money to be refunded back. I am totally upset with uber's extra charges which are posed on customers.

                  Uber driver satapata mobile no [protected] picked me up from mahim cadell road. My application showed rs.199/ to final destination.
                  On reaching his application showed rs.259 /- i told him his application is showing incorrect details. He told me call uber.

                  I paid him - later when i sat on the desk saw that his destination showed dharavi to andheri. Which couldnt be. He had picked me up from mahim cadell road in 2 mins. Dharavi to mahim -2 minutes??

                  Either the driver is a fraud/or he was untrained. Whatever it is. Not using uber ever again

                    Hi,
                    This instance took place some 10 days back. I had a flight to catch at 9:30 so i booked an uber at 6 from my office to airport which is 30km distance.

                    1st uber :
                    The first cab i booked, the driver asked me to to wait for 10 minutes and after 15 minutes when i called, he said he is coming and then later he just ended the trip himself (Cash which he must have handled himself).

                    2nd uber :
                    Then i had to book an another uber, when i called the driver he said its toop much traffic and it would take time for him to reach. (It was just a lame excuse because he did not want to go to airport). I asked him to come and pick me up. He said that he cannot go to airport as he has a pickup in some company and asked me to change the destination or he won't pick me up.
                    Since there were not much cabs available, i had to change the destination to some nearer place (Approx 10 km). And then he dropped me until that point only. This guy then said that he did not have change and kept rs 350 while the bill was around 310. (And this trip was on surge). I told him i can bring the change and he said that there is not much time. This is not acceptable. But i was in hurry to airport so i had to give him the money.

                    3rd uber :
                    I did not have any problem with the third uber i booked, but there was lots of traffic and i ended up missing my flight.

                    If i would have got the first direct uber, i would not have missed the flight. All this was due to uber that i missed the flight and i had to pay 5k-6 k for booking the next flight to delhi.

                    I now want to demand uber for my refund for airline ticket ticket which cost to me because of them.

                      These days i am regularly travelling by your uber service by uber_pool. On 2nd oct at nearly 3.47pm i had booked an uber_pool from attapur to ntr nagar. The driver by name mr. Telugu. Narasimha came and took me at the pin located at "wifi bar & restaurant". He took me to the destination "ntr nagar". I got a pre_indication of fare rs. 161.18. But after reaching the destination he was asking rs.523/-. I was astonished. Quarreled. Then he tried with the uber company people to know how much to be charged for me. They finalized as rs. 161.18. To be payable. I paid the same. And issue is over. When i tried to book your uber pool service it is asking rs. 362/- as due. Why should i pay? What is the reason i want to know. Is uber is not reliable in fares. Should we not use your uber in the future. Answer me immediately.

                        I am uber user fast 4 months, I have book the cab at 4:2 pm, driver name is gangadhara, Mahendra verito cab, his mobile number ([protected]) not ready pick my call either not bothered to call me, since I have waited for more than 30 mints.I was suppose reach my destination by 4:30 to my office, I was trying to book another cab, but there is no option to book another cab without cancelle first cab, so if cancelled it's charge me 50 rs without drive and without my fault, I charged for 50rs, pay my money back or give me one free drive.

                          I had booked uberx from prabhadevi mumbai and indicated my destination as midc dombivili east on october 4, 2016 around 11:09 am. It accepted and driver and car details came. Driver mr. Sebastin with maruti suzuki swift dzire came and when we (3 o[censored]s) boarded he stated that the destination dombivili is not acceptable for uber. We stated that as it is accepted only then it has taken the booking and supposedly you have to leave us to our destination. But he said the company's policy does not allow etc. Hence, we asked him to drop us from prabhadevi to dadar station to enable us to catch a train and reach our destination. From siddhivinayak temple to dadar station is hardly 2.5 kms and takes less than 15 minutes. But he dropped us at dadar station and took rs.136/- after roaming around for 25 minutes covering around 4.44 kms for reasons best known to him. Please explain the reasons for uberx accepting our destination while booking but not dropping us there. Hence, it is also felt that the amount charged for such a small distance is exorbitant and therefore refund an amount of rs.100/- back to me.

                            I have ride uber from this account in last march 2015 and paid the driver in cash, now i have 400 rs in uber paytm wallet but still not able to book a ride, it's showing please clear the last amount which i have already paid. I am really frustrated with slow reply from poor uber customer care services as they are telling me to clear the past payment which i have cleared and my money is stuck in paytm wallet. Please register my complaint againt such fraud service provided by uber.

                            On Sep 23rd, I used Uber ride from Mg road to ILodge in Banglore, and the fare was 127. I paid that using paytm and I got the receipt for that.
                            Later on night 61 rupees got deducted from my paytm account saying that the fare got adjusted to 189.How does this happen?

                              @uber_support i booked an uber pool cab today for 10 km which showed rs. 57 as fare. The driver had a second pick up who had entered wrong pick up address as well as wrong drop address. Yet the uber driver went to pick up him where the distance increased as he didn't know the way. The customer being a uber driver was friendly with the cab driver & convinced him to go in a completely different direction. After dropping him the driver didn't know how to locate my drop point and so took me through several wrong routes as trial & error process. When he finally dropped me the bill he charged was rs. 365. I complained the same to him but he connected me to the car owner who spoke rudely to me & told whatever is the issue tackle with uber but give the money instantly. When raising this issue to uber, they also refused to refund the money. Uber customer care is really horrible.

                                I have 2 incidents with Uber which is not at all acceptable. Details are given below:
                                1. On 30th Sep, I have booked Uber cab. However, driver didn't reached my pick up point and even didn't bothered to call me. After a couple of calls made by me, he stated that due to heavy rush on the road he is unable to reach. Being frusted I came out on the road and to my surprise I couldn't find any congestion on the road. Once I queried, the driver confirmed that he is waiting in some other place, which is almost 1 Km from my pick up point and asked me to walk up till that area. However, once I started walking, I could not find any rush on the road and being fade up I have cancelled the ride as I was getting late. But, Uber has charged me Rs. 60/- as cancellation charge, though driver failled to turn up at the pick up point (which was clearly defined in the route map).
                                2. On 6th Jul, 2016 I had booked a cab from Uber. However, the driver has changed the money for to and fro travel (total 16.58Km), though I have travel only one way, i.e. approx 8 Km only. Once I came back home and gone through the Receipt, I came to know this incorrect charging. On 7th July, I have raised a complaint with "[protected]@uber.com" (ref no.[protected] and provided them the receipt and also the details of my journey. However, I have not received any reply from them till today..!!

                                  Hi, this is Dr Atul Vaidya. I had booked a Uber cab on Wednesday evening to travel from talkatora stadium to C1 Janakpuri, New Delhi. Since my phone was switched off later I could not check the fare status. I received a receipt afterwards stating that my fare was zero as there was some promo offer; but I have been charged for the trip. I request you to look into the matter and kindly do the needful.

                                    Hi,

                                    I Would like to report an incident and share my experience with uber.

                                    I had booked an uber ride under uber pool category .

                                    The pick up venue was beharam baug(Jogeshwari West) and the Destination was Marol (Andheri East).

                                    While booking my ride the system showed an estimate fare of rs 96.

                                    However post the ride i was charged for Rs 166.

                                    I am certain about my booking under uber pool and i have used he facility several times before, However i have never been charged as much as 166.

                                    Kindly look into the matter at the earliest as there is some technical error from your end for sure.

                                    Also please make a note that i have been having bitter experience again and again and it is not acceptable .

                                      I have booked a cab from jayanagar to Hongasandra.
                                      Maximum Cost suppose to be INR 170.
                                      Fare estimate showed 167, but Uber charged 332.
                                      Got to know about surge pricing after seeing the receipt.
                                      Uber neither asked for my acceptance nor showed fare estimate as per surge pricing. Have paid amount in full and there is no right option with uber to raise a complaint on the same.

                                        Hi, i booked an uber cab and it arrived at my place. When i booked it i could see a message poping up that i will know my exact charge once the cab will arrive.but when the can areived the charge was not clear and hence i requested the uber deiver to connect mw to customer care after waisting my 30mins he said he is cancellig the trip. If i miss my train i simply want uber to pay for my trip. Uber is cheating customers as the driver cancelled the trip and i was charged Rs 60.
