sir
i purchased micromax a100 handset form univercell.in i got hand set on 6th oct but it is not working i called many times they are not replying my calls they are not talking on call or picking phone
uniovercell is cheating customers

i called micromax they told u have to talk with univercell they can replace bez if any problem comes within 7days of purchase company will give replacemet but univercell is not giving any ansure i mailed and call also

    I am Solomon working as a Logistics manager for chennai in ASPRI spirits , I bought a mobile on 15.8.2012 for the price of 7300 plus the theft insurance . on 24.9.12 when I went to keep invitation I lost my mobile when I kept the mobile in my bike pouch . somebody has stolen it . next day morning I gave a complaint and called univercell for claiming the insurance ,they gave the insurance company number , I spoke with them and they replied me very badly . they told that it was because of my carelessness . since univercell is a good company we are coming and buying there , if somebody have stolen the mobile means its not carelessness. During the purchase I was not explained about the insurance . So please take this forward kindly do the needful .

    200% it is your careless ness only, for a common person also know very much, mobile is not suppose to kept in open place like bike tank cover
    etc.. Dont Blame for this, any one.

    If you kept in your pocket after then if some one stolen in the sense, it is consider as you will take all the necessary action on your mobile.

    Based on the given reason it is purely, you are not taken care of your belongings.

      I had bought a nokia mobile from univercell for Rs1500. AT the time he unpacked the mobile and turned it on , it freezed and the salesman had to take off the battery and restart it. I informed salesman that it could be a defective mobile. Salesman informed that since its turned on first time, that is the reason it freezed. He told that if i face the issue again then they will change it. I started using the mobile and my calls are getting disconnected frequently though i have a good network range. I went back to univercell within 2 days and informed the same. salesman told that its issue with sim, I informed him that I even tried another sim but still same.Salesman refused me to help telling its still sim issue. also I have a payback card where points are added.I asked salesman to add points and salesman refused to add it telling it should be produced during purchase of mobile then only they can add it.I informed salesman that its only been 2 days, but still salesman refused it.I was in brand factory and they add the points till one month if we produce bills.         As i purchased an HTC mobile from an univercell show room from chittoor,andhra pradesh on[protected] where it was not working properly from 6months .i used it only for 3months touch problem is more and i gave it service center where they took 10 days for one service and i gave for 2times to resolve the problem but same problem is arriving over it now also iam not using it but they are not correcting the problem so please resolve my compliant its cost was 14000/

          I have purchased HTC Explorer mobile from Univercell Indiranagar (Bangalore) branch (21-July-2012), and I used my credit card for EMI payment.
          When my credit card bill came, there were two purchases has been deducted. One was my mobile EMI and one more EMI of some others' purchase.
          They miss used my card to pay some other person's purchase. I remember, one lady was quarreling with payment department about money when I was waiting for my payment. I doubt, for that payment payment guy purposefully used my card.

          I enquired with them along with my credit card bill statement , and asked for the receipt of extra payment in my credit card. They failed to give the receipt with my signature which generated during swiping.

            1-We bought a Nokia mobile at Univercell Mobile company at Chennai (Camp Road Branch ) dt.23rd June 2012.
            ( Tax Invoice # UTN : 422553 )
            2-After 4 days mobile didn't work but since we were travelling we couldn’t return same day but we returned to them dt.24th July 2012.
            ( Receipt Ref # Service Request Form # 8810 )
            3-Our Hand set color was in black and now they want to replace it with green which we don't like and don't want at any cost... Univercell guys are saying we informed them to change to Green color but its not at all correct.
            4-We have been chasing them for almost 2 month and till date there is no proper feedback - They are pushing us to take Green color mobile where as we bought black color originally and we want black color only.
            5-The mobile cost is Rs.3551.72 and we have already spent over Rs.3500.00 only on Taxi just going back and forth - We can not afford to go again and again asking for our mobile and hear them same story from them.
            6-Let us know the correct way to approach them and get our mobile - We are complaining bcoz these problem should not repeat to others customer and we should get our mobile in the same color we ordered and gave for service.
            7-If we don’t get any feedback we will definitely consult a lawyer for further action - Univercell people are under estimating customers and we want to show them that what they are doing is not right.

            This email should be treated as a serious issue - Thanks and look forward for a positive feedback form your end.

            UNIVERCELL — Mobile problem

            it's a one of worst dealer shop, the educated people will never go to univercel shop, i bought a LG mobile on last tuesday evening, and went to home to charge it, but the battery is geeting heat in half-an-hour when charging mobile, then i try to call the univercel to tell the complaint but no-body is picking the call, and the provided phone no in the bill is the oldest no. when we approach directly on wednesday they will not ready to change the mobile, they will simply saying that if the mobile is taken out from the shop the client will have to take responsible for the product, and they didnt ask about the consumer complaints. and the sales executive people is main aim is sales the mobile. in unviercell there is an insurance for theft and damage, btu nobody will tell about that to client, if we buy the mobile and we send again to ask about the insurance they will tell at the time billing only we proivde the insurance, after the billing it's not possible to provide the insuracne. but the sales people will never say about the insurance at the time of billing, so people pl get aware about the univercel, if we buy the platform mobile it 's work atleat one month.
            univercell mobiles has the worst service I have ever experienced.

              This Below Issue are facing problem in Univercell near Jalahalli Cross

              1.No Customer Stastification in picking the call or no response Univercell Jalahalli person are Ramya,Shankar & Kiran

              2.After taking the Mobile on 26/06/2012

              3.First i was looking for HTC one X due to non avaliablity of white colour Ms Ramya has suggested both are same you can buy the HTC Sensation XL but while buying the mobile Ms Ramya has told inbuilt is 16gb Expandle upto 32gb

              4.After buying the mobile i have asked only the pouch for mobile they have told within one week i will arrange it Mr Shankar

              5.Till date i have not recived the pouch almost 20 times i visited the Univercell but no response thru phone call or showroom at last Mr Kiran has told on last week the pouch is not avaliable in HTC store only So Mr Kiran has told I will arrange the Similar Pouch But whenever i make a call Mr Shankar he cant able to recieve and ans for almost 50 times first dissappoinment and it has created bad impression on Univercell

              6.Due to I am Travelling out of Station i cant able to check the mobile properly on last week i was went to buy the 32gb Sd Card i was surprised that it has not having expandable memory option only

              7.I have went to Univercell for discuss this Issue But i will thank you for lifting the phone call for Mr Kiran but they cant able to meet me in there Store always busy from last 3days

              8.IF I HAVE PURCHASED IT FOR 15000/- I WILL NEVER GO FOR SUCH TYPE OF E-MAIL BECAUSE I HAVE INVESTED FOR THIS MOBILE IS 34000/- THAT WAY LITTLE WORRY ABOUT IT

              SO THIS ARE THE ABOVE ISSUES PROBLEM IN UNIVERCELL JALAHALLI EITHER SALES OR MANAGER AT LOST I GOT VERY VERY VERY BAD IMPRESSION ON UNIVERCELL FIRST BY SEEING THE ADVERTISE ON TELEVISION AS THEY WILL GIVE COMPLETE SOLUTION IN UNIVERCELL BUT AFTER PURCHASING IN UNIVERCELL ONLY BAD IMPRESSION

              I WILL SUGGEST THE UNIVERCELL WHAT THEY CAN MAKE FOR MY SATISFACTION WAITING FOR REPLAY

              But Mr Kiran has told I will arrange some other mobile But Suddenly on today he is telling that you can give the complaint

              last 15 days the Manager Kiran and Mithun is not picking the call

              please help me

                Hi ,

                i have purchased a new karbon A1 mobile from velachery univercell show room in june 2012 and found full of issues from of day of purchase and when i approached the Univercell in 1.5 months they told you should have come within one month. During the purchase i asked a touch screen simple mobile in the range of Rs5k and they offered this is the best and when we go for service i can see the worst response. I gave the mobile for service to them alomost two weeks ago and no repoonse from them.. No user friendly approach and terribly worred about the purchase.

                  Dear Concern,



                  Had bought a new Samsung ACE Plus mobile at Univercell Velachery Branch worth RS of 15500 on 18th July 2012 [18:54:22].



                  The very next day from the date of purchase I noticed that there is a SIGNAL ISSUE with mobile wherein signal bar is full but when am making outgoing getting an error msg as “MOBILE NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE” and most of the incoming calls are not reachable.



                  I Just made a cal to univercell showroom said the issue for which I got response as to choose the network manually and use the phone.



                  After manual network issue was there again I called and informed to showroom then the 2nd solution was provided by showroom is this may be a sim card issue please change the same to new one and use.



                  I did that even though issue persists then I went showroom directly and asked for the reason they have instructed me to visit service centre “SIVA COMMUNICATION VELACHERY” the following suggestion was given by service centre. After this setting also if issue is there then get back the mobile to service centre.





                  Setting -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile Network Setting -> Network Mode -> GSM/WCDMA (Auto Mode) to be chosen



                  But still my issue is not resolved I called service centre Gopi he is not picking up my call. Next day I approached service centre agai,n at last finally service centre told that will upgrade new software for your mobile if issue still there then we will change the motherboard by claming.



                  Why should I have to upgrade new software & mother board change for my new mobile?



                  Again I went to showroom, they said CRO is not available for the day please come by tomorrow.



                  Next day went there he is not available again have returned back to home.



                  Next day he was in meeting so unable to reach so I have surrendered all my kit and mobile to person to whom I have bought my mobile on 3rd Aug. Finally CRO called me and suggested to speak with Zonal Head Mr. Parameswaran, Spoke to him but he told me get in touch with shop where I bought my mobile



                  Daily getting same response will call u back, will call u back but so far no solution for me.





                  Since there is a issue with mobile why you guys not ready to replace the same, did I asked money why cant you replace or this is the new way to cheat the customers, how long I need to wait for an solution. I wasted my 15500 RS money in buying mobile at univercell.

                  At the time of purchase itself there was a problem I have given my ICICI credit card for payment with EMI of 3 months but full payment taken as normal transaction.



                  Again they have swiped my card and put on EMI option, the previous transaction was void by univercell, for the void transaction I spoke to ICICI credit card department and did scanning of void receipt followed more than a week of time and got my money back.



                  This is the way to treat your customers need immediate response, or I have all proofs in my hand will take it up further level.

                    I purchased a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT - I 9300 on 26/07/2012 from Univer Cell Telecommunications India PVt. Ltd for Rs 38,500/- which is faulty. As directed by Univercell Executive Aneesh, I have given for repairing the product Samsung Official Service Centre and reported the product is faulty motherboard and Mike. This has reported to univercell by email and phone unfortunately they are not responding.

                    Attached is the report from Samsung official service centre and Purchase Invoice. I have been cheated and given faulty mobile deliberately. Product IMEI number: 353719/05/298078/4 and Invoice Number: 359919 dated 26/07/2012.

                      My self S.RAMESH KUMAR from Hyderabad (A.P) with the phone numbers [protected],[protected] I have buy two cell phone from univercell at IDPL Hyderabad (A.P) show room on 19/07/2012 the model name is MICROMAX MODU which is 4730/- & the SONYERICSSON X-PERIA MINI on 20/07/2012 from the same show room for the cost of 11200/-


                      When I enquired the same phones cost at UNIVERCEL at CHANDHANAGAR show room the cost of is MICROMAX MODU 3300/- & the SONYERICSSON X-PERIA MINI is 8000/- with all the insurance

                      That means your sales person at IDPL UNIVERCELL has cheated me on the both phones sum of amount of 4630/-

                      I think your are in the process of cheating people who are regular to your show room is this the way your are training the sales persons to cheat the customers

                      I want the refund of my amount which your sales person had cheated with me

                      So I kindly request you to take the issue immediately in to the process so that I need not to go for consumer forum

                        I bought a mobile recently(its hardly a month). I use it very rarely as mobiles are not allowed in my office. But the mobile which i bought is not working(getting switched off regularly and going to emergency call frequently). I want to put a note here, the mobile is not damaged or dropped from hand till date. when i took the mobile to UNIVERCELL and they give vague reasons saying one in every 10 pieces gets damaged. I am afraid if this is the same with other dealerships also?. They say they will give it to service center and it may take two weeks. What is the purpose of buying a mobile? to facilitate my need Right! then if they say it takes two weeks Whose problem is this. Buying the mobile from UNIVERCELL is a SIN? Iam worried at the moment as it's becoming worse to communicate without a mobile. Why can't they replace it with a new mobile as its not been a month of buying. Also at the time of purchase, i was told that there is a spot replacement facility as it covers an insurance but they change their tongue now, saying the mobile is not exchanged with a new one. I request the concerned authority to look into the issue.

                        IS THIS THE WAY UNIVERCELL FUNCTIONS AT OTHER LOCATIONS ALSO?

                            Univercell is cheating the customers who buy mobile at their showroom. I bought a Karbon Smarttab 1 from Univercell pallavakam for 7990 MRP. THier online price is 6990 MRP (inclusive of all tax and free delivery). I do not understand how a brand will cell 1000 RS more in showroom compared to online. I go for the name Univercell and I assume online price would match showroom. The reason given by their customer care is, the price difference is to attract more online customer !!!!!!!!!

                              I bought Micromax funbook from Univercell store, Velachery, Chennai. Funbook has bundle offer with Tata photon+. It mentioned that they will offer Photon+ for additional of Rs 500.

                              But in Velachery Univercell store, they mentioned that the offer is not valid in Univercell and they charged Rs 999. One of my friends bought in Croma store and he availed the offer.

                              The response given by store manager is that they sold 1008 (standard number) micromax and they didn't offer to any of their customer.

                                i have buy a mobile in uinvercell showroom Dilkush Nagar last 8 month ago i have faced a problem in the mobile i have went showroom and asked for replacement of the mobile they did not replaced ... and there repaired in there own services center in hyderabad and give me back again after 1month same problem and addtional problem like this i was happend 4 to 5 times am having all receipts with me and last they said that sir pls go to micro max services center their u can get u r problem solved i want there with that mobile that services person is saying that they have give u mobile without fitting the screw so we can not do services i went back the uinvercell showroom and asked them they said sorry to me and taken my mobile but my mobile problem is not solved when i went and asking for mobile there are saying 2days like this 10 days happend so i want to put a case in consumer regarding this

                                  Hi, We bought a new handset at UniverCell, Velachery and within 25 days the phone was completely out of service.When we gave the phone for service to the company we never got a proper response amd finally we were told that nothing can be done with the handset…Is this a reponse for a brand new phone which is still under warranty? We are still paying the EMI for the phone.Not only me , some of my friends have also had such a bad experience with UniverCell. They are doing the WORST service and they are there at your service only till you buy the product and post that it is NIL.I definitely need justice for this and I would strongly suggest that UniverCell is not the right place for handsets.This is not only from my own experience , but also from some of my friends.

                                    I bought a mobile phone sony ericcson xperia x8 worth rs 13800,in univercell showroom,vijayawada on march 25th 2011 with my first salary and even paid extra for insurance.Unfortunately I lost it within a year itself.I contacted them and did everything they instructed me to do,roaming around all corrupt government offices for a week and submitted the documents they requested and approved.Today,after 2 months i got a reply from the insurance company saying that they didnt receive all the necessary documents from me,so my claim cant be processed further.They are now saying its not their responsibility.PLEASE NEVER EVER BUY A MOBILE IN UNIVERCELL AND GET CHEATED LIKE ME.

                                      my name is sundar iam studing in uk, three month before i brought a new mobile phone (C5-03) for RS 9,150 from univercell after one and half months later the mobile was not working i took the mobile to the univercell ,chennai,parrys branch. they said to rectif this problem it will take 15 days .but till today i did not get mobile. mobile went to repair and came after 20 days it has same problem i checked in the shop it self it was same problem and after 10 they said now u can collect the mobile . my father went their and checked angain the same problem again they said with in 5 days they will give back . but still now i did not get the mobile . now they are giving any responds now .please any one tell me what i can do for this .give me good idea please.

                                        I had bought a airtel prepaid sim card from univercelp showroom, TTK Road, Alwarpet, chennai on April 23rd 2012. Its been 6 days. Sim is not yet activated. Airtel customer service says that they have not received activation request fron univercell. There is no response from the showroom contact no. If I get to speak to them, the person incharge is unaware of what needs to be done and not helpful at all. When I had asked to speak to the manager, I was put on hold and never answered. Its a shame that a simple job which any local shop could do cannot be done by a big showroom in the city.
