hi,
I am a vodafone kerala customer. I had to shift to Karnataka. So I went to vodafone office
in Calicut city, Kerala on Aug 31st (sunday)
and informed them that I need to cancel the vodafone connection. They told me that I could not cancel the connection on that day because my billing date is on 22nd and they given me a cancellation form and told me to bring it on sept 23rd, with the hands of some one else.(because I will be in Karnataka).
Today (sept 23rd) my father went to the same vodafone office and given the cancellation form along with bill amount but they rejected saying that they need some other form.
I told my Father if they are not ready to cancel the connection, don't pay the bill and come back.

This is the real form of cheating!

Vodafone — Cancellation of connection

I went to the vodofone store and I have raised a request for cancellation of connection on 30th of January.They have adjusted my deposit of 250 against the outstanding balance of 166 rs and also they have taken rent of 80 rs from 20th to 30th of January because my bill generation date was on 20th of every month.Store people told me that my connection will be cancelled and I need not pay any amount.
BUT I again received bill that I need to pay 367 rs and when I called customer care they said that my connection was not cancelled and also my deposit was not adjusted..when I asked cust care they told that vodofone store people gave you wrong information..I need possible solution for this,

Vodafone — Cancel connection

I had a connection [protected] which i had cancelled four months before.My last bill amount is 238 which is adjusted to my advance amount 250 which I paid during opening the connection [protected].
Customer care informed me that my bill amount is adjusted to my advance amount .But still customer care sends me legal notice to pay my bill

Please help me to resolve this problem

Im mani i have requested for mnp 4 days back from vodafone to docomo. My application was accepted and my number is ported to docomo yesterday night 11 pm after that i have noticed that im not receing incoming calls and sms due to some technical issue till now so people who r trying 2 contact me is getting a response that "the number may not be working pls check the number" so im missing so many important calls due to this issue so kindly give me a true advice to file a suit against vodafone.

    This is to inform you that today it was shock when my female friend recieved a call from phone number [protected] by the name Mohinder. Mohinder call my friend and started abusing her in such bad way that any decent person will just cry with out any fault of her. He was asking my phone number as i was unable to pay my bill because of bad phase in my business, but if you check my relation with your company you will realise that wether i can be a defaulter or not.
    But this is very dissapointing to know such practice from your company that your guys calling a third party and sharing my personal details to get the payment and on top of it if the person does not share someone privacy your guys abuse like" bahen ki lodi, teri maa ki choot and more" and to a person who is graduated from IIM institute... thats a shame and very bad practice to be honest. I called up that guy and asked him for what you were abusing her then he told me i shall talk to Mr. Uday Pratap singh at [protected], I called up this guy he turned out to be a lawyer but a decent one after that I paid the money even in a bad situation as i thought vodafone gundas do not call her up again but how can some can take my call details and share with anyone and call those people on my details. I am going to write this email to all of your top corporate heads and international heads.
    I will also forward this email to many other sources so that if some strict action is not taken against such acts i might go to cunsumer court for sure.

    Thanks for the advice and ill for sure do this. They shall know to cater indian customers too like they do it in abroad. These companies hire bloody "gundas" and "d -graded" people. These uneducated people think they can react the way they want to with the customers. Now when i complained in the customer care they are saying that they do not have such info nor they know anyone from such name who call us. But we have all the 4 more people who have faced the same problem.
    But we need to have aware Indian citizens who do not tolerate such act by any companies. We need more people to come and burst such acts by any companies.
    Guys join me if you have any issue like this and we will fight such acts together.

      When ever I switch on my mobile phone Rs. 2 is automatically charged from my main balance. I talked to the customer care but they are very much reluctant to the problem and they just passed it by saying its a problem from nokia since I am using a nokia handset.

      this must be a software running underlying the set. First of all is it a new of a used set. Many people have the theft safe softwares installed on their mobile to save the cellphones from theft. So these type of software send an sms to a number mentioned while installation on every restart. I would suggest you to check the statement and the sms's sent from your mobile and get the software removed from your cellphone
      i am too having the same problem with my nokia 6600
      i had installed earlier an antitheft software
      but how i have formated my phone
      but still the problem exists
      i get a message
      your last call charge was .99 paisa
      i get this message 2 times
      so 2 rs gets deducted
      what to do

        Sub:- Issue of “ No Due Certificate”

        Dear Sir,

        I had issued two cheques No- 219636 dated 5.9.2007 for Rs.3000/- and 219637 dated 5.9.2007 for Rs.2000/- which were dishonoured on due date.

        On 13.12.2007, I made full and final payment for Rs.5, 950/- in cash against above cheques and other dues also after confirming from your office at Vikas Marg New Delhi. On this day, after payment of Rs.5, 950/- your ledger account speaks that a Credit Balance of Rs.15/ was lying in my account & on 29.12.2007, the same was Rs.115/-.
        Moreover when I asked to return my disonoured cheques than your official informed that the same will be posted to your residence with in 10 days.

        It is very clear from your ledger account that I have made all the payments due to dishonour of above cheques. Please withdraw your case U/S 138 N.I Act 1881 and issue me a “No Dues Certificate”.

        After this, your department has given this telephone no. ([protected]) to Mr.Puneet Kumar, D-785, St No. 3, Ashok Nagar, Delhi 93. As per your ledger account, on 3.6.2008 Rs. 6, 112 is due from Mr. Puneet Kumar not from me. Therefore, you are requested to recover Rs.6112/- from Mr. Puneet Kumar.

          I was getting lots and lots of wrong calls to my vodafone number. I change many new numbers from the same provider itself but don't know whether because of network congesstion I was getting lot of wrong numbers and if i call someone it will land to someother number. So finally i have changed the provider.

          i spoken on same on M. No [protected] around 25 Min. on same day which was confirmed you CC but till date I not recived the free Min. I have many time spoken to CC on 198 they tell me only wait, now they are not responding

            I had a prepaid no of vodafone on which i got a call a year back from Vodafone center to change it to postpaid in 998 yearly rental plan. I agreed to change prepaid to postpaid connection and so that person had sent his executive to my place, who collected rs.1000/- from me saying this will reflect in bill and had given a sim which as per him was to start in 24 hrs.
            He got the CAF form filled from me.
            after 2 days when that new sim didn't got activated i called to that person and he said that pre-exiting prepaid no cannot be converted and so i have to take a newno. i ased him to return the amount and get the sim collected. there after neither he sent his executive nor cash and neither even had taken my call.
            I made complaint to vodafone store at Karol baghand they assured that this amount will get refunded in 25 days whereas now even after 1 yr, i hv not got that amount or any confirmation else than that the amount was taken by arjun enterprises which is a franchisee store of vodafone.
            Had made many complaints to karol bagh branch of vadafone but nothing turned positive

              I am a prepaid user my mobilnumber is [protected]. daily one rupee is taken by network . i enquired the details about it to the customer care.
              they said it will be taken for sms (per sms 5 p)but for me each sms charge is 15p even if i send a word "hai" .if i send picture message it charges 45p. i called to customer care for three times for different persons but none of them responded properly and also the problem is not yet solved.

              when i was in that vodafone store i watched that their responce was bad and worthless! as like i thaught my sim was not activated yet, regarding that i called to the customer care simply they said this is not their fault and asking me to go to the same vodafone care and clear my problem, how many times i need to go the vodafone care who not responding well! i feel bad to go again that centre! so kindly do me the needful that activate my number coz im getting more problems due to that non activation

                Previously i used a prepaid connection, later i have changed it to postpaid. Due to some reasons i have disconnected that number in May, 2008 and now i would like to take the same old number. But what the customer care people says is that, that particular number can be taken as a postpaid connection only it seems, it can't be taken as a prepaid connection it seems.

                Is that sooooo ??????
                As it is a new connection, can't i take it as a prepaid one ?

                Vodafone — Regarding taking new connection of vodafone

                Hi,

                I used to use a vodafone prepaid connection, which i later converted to postpaid. In the month of may, 2008 i have disconnected the number. Now i would like to get the same number. But when i called the customer care persons they said that that particular number can be taken as a postpaid number but cannot be issued as a prepaid number it seems. Is this true ?
                Once the number is disconnected, it can be issued either as a prepaid or postpaid ?

                  Vodafone People want bill to be paid with out sending the itemised bill to the customer and they mention that customer can pay through post office and e-seva but no one accept the bills at post office and e-seva as their is no option in their sytems to pay the bills, and customer care numbers [protected] and 111 never connects if called through prepaid they say that it is prepaid department.

                  First of all i want to tell you that We people cant send mail from our corporate id
                  outside coporate due to information security in bank, hence I am sending this mail from personal mail id

                  I have been using corporate plan of citibank Talk349
                  As per corporate plan 2000 local minu are free MOB2MOB & I had not completed 2000minu for
                  that particular month (Bill # mentioned above).I have only spent 1900 minu and 57 sec in same bill.
                  Where in 2000 minutes were not spent.
                  I have made some calls on 02/12/2008 on following mobile no's where in invalid charges are as under:-
                  (1)[protected] Time 20:56 Rs 7.80 paise (2)[protected] Time 23:00:27 Rs 24.60 paise =Total-32.40 paise
                  vodafone wrongly charged me Rs 32.40paise.

                  After talking so many times in customer care, i have not got any positive response
                  and everytime they said they have checked its not invalid charges.
                  But how come its valid charges?????? when i had not spent 2000 in same month MOB2MOB.

                  Its not a matter of Rs 32.40 paise its matter of ethics & commitment towards customer
                  which u been given while given the connection to me.
                  Waiting for positive response, Otherwise i need to escalate this matter to higher level.

                  but suddenly there is deductions from balance in last week due to caller tunesvodafone campany charge me for caller tune and set any caller tune of there choice... I never make any request to set caller tune on my number..
                  And when I complaint on there customer care they said "we cannot do nothing.., its set by mistake of company."
                  they also not refund my money...
                  we have called customer care, but there is no response from your care customer
                  i had lost Rs.49/- due to caller tune, who will pay this loss amount
                  we are suffering a lot due to this deducations, this is 5 th time we are lossing the amount

                      sir,

                      this is with reference to the MCI service that i deactivated on 11-jun-08, has not yet been deactivated. i am constantly being charged for this service since [protected]@Rs30/month.
                      after frequent complaints at vodafone`s kaushambi and sahibabad stores, the problem is yet not entertained. when their executives try to deactivate it the reply msg shows `` you are not active for this service.``
                      when i contacted CNBC AWAAZ regarding the mentioned matter, their okhla center officials contacted me and gave a revert back amounting Rs. 45 only.
                      i was assured that i`ll not be charged again and the service will be deactivated. but i am again being charged for the same on [protected]@Rs.30 and on [protected]@Rs.15.
                      kindly look into the above mentioned matter and provide me with the positive solution.

                        Hi all,
                        I am a Kolkata based prepaid customer (number [protected]) and have been facing a problem regarding my recharge.
                        I used ICICI and citi Banking services to recharge my mobile. I recharged my phone through ICICI Internet online prepaid mobile. The money was taken away from my account but no talktime was credited to my
                        vodafone acount.
                        I called up at Vodafone Care and the executive told me that its a temporary problem and would be rectified in one day, but the next day also I have the same problem. I have spoken to Vodafone Care executive wherein the executive told me that the problem would be solved within next 24 hours. The very next day when I called Vodafone to know the solution of my problem, the executive told me that it is in process and asked me to call later. The same process has kept running since then and I got the same response . Another executive asked me to drop into a Vodafone Shop as they could not do anything else but give me a new complaint number. I contact to nodel officer in Kolkata Dipamita Das she reply " Thank you for your e-mail regarding your Vodafone number [protected]. We have registered your feedback vide service registration number[protected]. At the onset, we regret the inconvenience caused to you.
                        We hope that we have been able to address your query satisfactorily." but after 3 month I didn't get any response from there.
                        Another problem is that one executive "Mr. Supratim Ghosh" provided wrong information about recharge voucher and didn't take any complain.
                        Overall my experience is so bad.
                        During this process the behaviour of the excutives and nodels was not tolerable and SaTISFACTORY as i have called the VODAFONE the world's most reknowned telecom giant.
                        The company moto is "HAPY TO HELP" I think it will be "UNHAPPY TO HELP" or "IF FACE PROBLEM FORGET THEM"

                        Hello people,
                        I have been a vodafone prepaid customer since 2006 and I had used Airtel prepaid Services before . Airtel's customer service was even more pathetic than Hutch's ( now known as "Vodafone" ) . Vodafone as an organization is unmatchable with it's commitments except for the fact that all the facts are fictitious and false . This in lame man's terminology would be termed as a " trickster's tricks to cheat and fool people " . No matter that the customer care executives ( taking inbound calls ) are given no authority, they are not trained enough to speak to customers and the Managers are Bold enough to say that they even can't Help when they do the callbacks . The Business Process of Vodafone Prepaid services are requested to be reviewed based on the false commitments and confusing tariff / Bonus card plans that are displayed on their website . I don't expect anything to change in the Indian Customer service patterns, but am strongly annoyed at the fact that the quality of Customer service provided to the Customers from abroad by Indian Customer Service agents and the way it is different for Indian Customers when they have to speak to Indian Customer service agents . Vodafone as an organization not transparent and loyal to it's loyal customers who are old customers of this service for more than
                        7 years now .
                        I have not been helped satisfactorily by a vodafone customer service agent ever but am still a vodafone prepaid customer just because I know it's not just Vodafone as an organization but the Customer Service provided to Indian Customers by any organization is not upto the Basic, Normal, Acceptable International Standards .

                        I am hopeful of the fact that the time spent in writing in these forums is completely useless but just wanted everyone to know that To Expect anything from Customer Service in India is still a crime .

                        Vodafone Prepaid — Cell provider is useless

                        I've purchsed a vodefone no. with a cell model "228 FM". The battery back up shown on papers was high and some instructions was given in manual. I've followed all of them. Bt still its giving very less performance than expectaion. The mobile phone was pricing Rs. 2400 in which i was able to get some good mobile.

                        Its really useless as i m field executive and on talk battery is very low which is suffering my business.

I think after mobile number portability, it is time to say goodbye to Vodafone. I tried to contact cust care but no use. I wonder why big names do not care for their reputation.

                          when i visited the customer care centre at kottakkal, malappuram, kerala for replacement of my vodafone which is not working(only incoming calls getting), on monday i.e., 15.09.2008 they said that there is no stock and inform me later and till now i didn't get any response from them. So i telephone today and the same reply received and when i asked for the telephone no of marketing manager they refused to give so and didn't give any clear reply. Since iam a central govt servant and my husband is working in panaji goa iam ina need of mobile phone. I bought my phone from Panaji, goa on 17.03.2008.

                                1. On 13/09/08 at around 10 p.m. a message for Caller Tune activated without my confirmation, then I can't contact with customer care on next day. On 15/09/08(Monday) knowing frm my office I SMS to 144 "CAN CT", then a message come for 'Caller Tune deactivated'. But my balance deducted by Rs.30. Today 18/09/08, till date my balance not adjusted, I have already contact to customer care.

                                2. Sometimes the call charge deducted @Rs.2/- per unit. When it becomes my knowledge, already my call charge deducted more from balance. After sending SMS TO 144 "ACT ONE" the charge becomes @Rs.1/- per unit.

                                3. When Vodafone call me for Caller Tune selection if I cancel the call they will deducted Rs.1/- from me showing the massage "Charge for last call to[protected] for Rs.1/- " deducted from my balance.
                                I am not able to connect to Vodaphone Care. I want to get a call from them. Airtel are far much better than the services given by Vodaphone and the full number is not displayed whenver i am receiving call from Phillipines its only +301. My mobile no is[protected]

                                  sir, i am from visakhapatnam (AP). i had sent a sms to the number 56789 from my phone for activation of my caller tune (hanuman chalisa)for which 15 rupees was deducted from my account. but it was not acivated. then on contacting the customer care they initially gave misleading informations and then on forcing again and again they forwarded a complain. i waited for about a month but there was no result. then thinking that they might not having this caller tune i changed it this month by sending another msg to the same number 56789 (tumko dekha toh ye khayal aaya - new tune). for which again 15 rupees was deducted. but it was also not activated. on contacting the customer care they are again saying the same misleading information such as : it is already activated, switch of[censored]r mobile remove the sim again replace the sim and it will be activated within 1 hour etc. one customer care executive named prasad and then another named ajay were among those who give these kind of false information. sir, kindly do something.

                                    Hello Sir,

                                    I had taken the vodafone postpaid connection on 26th Aug, 08. On 28th Aug verification was done at my office (I signed in the sheet which the vodafone person had got), and on 29th Aug, residence address verification was done (since i was not at home, my dad had to sign, and that person spoke to mt over phone). Since, I was not available at my residence on 29th Aug, I person from vodafone had come on 31st Aug for residence verifcation. After all this, when I checked, the credit limit was not increased, and I contacted the vodafone store near my residence. I was told to submit an address proof, which I did. Inspite of all this there was no change in the credit limit. When I went back to the vodafone store on 15th Sep, they raised new request for verification and the which was completed on 16th Sep. I re-visited the vodafone store on 17th Sep, but people doesnt seem to be responding properly to solve this problem.The manager of the vodafone center (Indira nagar branch) spoke to me and gave me landline number to check, but thta landline number doesn't seem to be working. They are very clever to not see to such ind of issues. If I call the customer care, the customer care executive is unable to give satisfactory answer. All they know is to say "We sorry for the inconvenience, but we do not know what has happened in the backend". I am obviously not expecting such kind of reply. Inspite of having so many times of verification, I dont understand why dont they updates teh database. Why is the result still showing negative though they have taken the required signatures from me. I want the solution as early as possible. This nuasance is reaching teh extreme and I can no longer tolerate this kind of irresponsibility from the people of vodafone.

                                    Hopeing this issuse will be resolved soon.

                                    Vodafone — No increase in credit limit and verification is not yet done

                                    Dear Any one who is listing this from Vodafone!!!!

                                    AM user of your service for past 4 months for number [protected] / 47 / 48

                                    Every time you disconnect service without informing me giving reason that verification is pending and till date your person has visited my house for 3 times. I myself visited your shop for 10 times. my credit limit has not been decreased from 2500 to 500/- which is v v ridiculous!! as my monthly billing is 3000 plus

                                    vodafone is not taking any action and not even solving my problem from the day i have taken connection. all they say sorry and don’t do anything to solve the problem.

                                    May i know where can i ge my problem solved? also in gallery these guys don’t give any senior's nos and just say that problem will be solved.

                                    also they disconnect service without giving any warning or info. its really affecting my business badly. And Vodafone doesn’t respect for consumer.

                                        i am a subscriber with vodafone since 2000 when it was essar then hutch and now vodafone. i'v witnessed and borne its rapid downhill service and utterly incompetent, rude and non-redressal customer care.
                                        HERE GOES MY LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG LIST O[censored]NATTENDED TO WOES :

                                        1 first for months some of my national smses were billed as international.
                                        this went on unchecked for months/a year despite a reminder each month
                                        when i would get my bill .

                                        2 then for months they could not deactivate a particular caller tune i had
                                        chosen for a few special nos. after a herculean effort i managed to achive
                                        that.

                                        3 and now for over a 1 1/2 yrs i'm being charged practically every month rs.80
                                        and rs.100 for late fees. for the former customer care and the local
                                        vodafone shop branch manager could not decide what they were for, one
                                        said for shuffle tune and the other that they were for downloading.
                                        oddly enough and to the customer's utter inconvenience the bill had a code
                                        against this charge and was obviously latin and greek for the customer.
                                        i had not even made any request for activation of GPRS... i believe
                                        they do it by default...CAN I ASK WHY ???????
                                        and why the late fees charge when i have 99% of the times paid my bill
                                        in time over a period of over 8 yrs.
                                        interestingly the branch manager of the vodafone shop waived these
                                        late fees charges as much as she could in may '08 but they were reverted in
                                        my bill for the next month.

                                        4 during all this period i have faced utterly RUDE, INCOMPETENT & INEFFECTIVE
                                        CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE. i state on record that i'v never activated the
                                        shuffle caller tune, i just have one tune for which i'm paying rs. 30 pm.
                                        and i would like to ask vodafone... dont they have a record of what caller
                                        tunes i'v subscribed to ??????
                                        as far as downloading is concerned again i put it on record i'v NEVER
                                        downloaded anything EVER and i'm a single user of this no. and handset. moreover did i ever send a request for activating GPRS ??????

                                        5 today as things stand my outgoing has been barred so many times that now
                                        i'v even lost count. as of today outgoing has been barred for the last one
                                        month...

                                        6 people reading this decide for your self before taking a vodafone connection.

                                        7 not only have i been harassed, inconvenienced but also subjected to rude
                                        behaviour... one customer care lady told me to hurry up with my 'story' coz
                                        she had to go for lunch. another told me... as if i was a begger that all vodafone could do was waive some late fee charges...

                                        8 this is a principled stand i'v taken, i teach in a college and what i'm dealing with most in my class are human values and a principled life. vodafone can test my patience to the maximum !!!

                                        9 lastly i may add that i'v written to their nodal office upteen times, visited
                                        their shop numerous times and have no account of how many times i'v
                                        called customer care.
