Frequent issues with abs sensors.

it cost me ti, me and money

Now they are telling ABS shortage

    My vehicle, vento highline (2011 model), registration plate number- MH01AV6940 had been submitted to Volkswagen downtown workshop on the 14th September, i did not recieve a quote or wasn’t told what needed servicing by the advisor till evening the next day (15th sept).
    After they recieved a go ahead from my end shortly the same day, they finished and submitted the vehicle on the 18th sept, the details of the mechanical work and scanning included various things primarily-
    1) Rear shock absorbers replacement
    2) braking system scan (liner and pads)
    3) Air filter replacement
    I was traveling outstation when they dropped the car at my home and hence was unable to test the vehicle myself.
    Now, in the first week of October when I got to drive the vehicle, I find
    1) Screeching noise when I brake at low speeds probably due to issues with the liner
    2) A/c has stopped cooling which wasn’t the case when I submitted the car for repairs

    In my last 10 years of owning and submitting the vento to your authorised service centre is this the kind of reward I get?
    Even after charging an exorbitant 24, 000₹ and 3-4 days to complete minimal work I am a loyal customer however spoiling my working air conditioning and braking system I have lost faith in the quality of your after sale service.
    After writing to you’ll about this issue, the concerned service centre has called my car and are demanding for and additional sum money to fix the said air conditioning stating that they were not the ones that spoilt it, how does a working air conditioning system get spoiled after service??
    I am writing a copy of this complaint to the consumer forum since you’ll are clearly incapable of righting your wrongs.

        Sales and service of my new
        I m Chitra Ravi residing at No 129, NGO Nager Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu pin code 635601 do herby as follows:
        1. I states that the purchased a Volkswagen polo GT TSI car in your Authorise dealer called Susee motors Vellore at the payment of RS.959000/-with tax of Rs. 214432/- on 19.07.2021. Bearing the registration no. TN 83 MA 3423.
        2.I further states that, buying the New Volkswagen polo GT car, from the Beginning there is so much of problem a raised in the said vehicle. After buying the car sent the car for service more than 9 times for major and minor issues i.e 4 doors are itching noisy and windshield glass water drops are leaking inside car. but how can a new car door will make a noise? That was too strange. Then the next time the Windshield glass of the car was leaked during the Rainy time . I paid a sum of Rs. 6366/- for the glass and changed the Windshield glass even though it was changed there is no much satisfaction in your world class service. The other thing is how does a new car will give so much of problems and repairs? Therefore, I raises doubt that it was a new car it was alternative one. Now the car makes a sound in dashboard.

          Purchased GT TSI in the year 2018, by this time I had to replace ABS sensor 3 times, when I went to the service center ( umayanallor, kollom, Kerala), I happened to see 3 or 4 owners complaining about the same problem. Please advice me how to overcome this problem, is this happening due to poor quality or is it due our climate conditions (as I was told from the service center), please do the needful, as early as possible.             I own vw vento high line+ at diesel. Further update on this car’s (not sure how it passed quality check at volkswegan when I bought it) condition:

            The car stalled again abruptly while it was running, at Sawantwadi and the volkswegan road side Assitance assured the towing of vehicle with the following message:

            Ref TI00806456 Basis the vehicle condition we are deploying recover truck for your vehicle. Please note we shall not be liable for any consequential damage.

            Then I got a call from rsa rep (Aarti) stating the car cannot be towed today due to all towing vehicles being busy towing other vehicles. It wasted my 2+ hrs standing with family/kids at the remote location with heavy rain. Imagine the time being 5:00 pm and someone saying they can’t help. What’s the point of enrolling for rsa then? Very disappointing, I felt vulnerable and betrayed by VW company.

            Few policemen were watching us in trouble and they then helped in arranging a towing vehicle using their local contacts. I fixed an amount with the towing guy to take the car to the Kolhapur service station but later realised the expenses I have to incur (accommodation, meals etc.) most importantly when not knowing how long it will take the vehicle to fix / vw failed in fixing the same issue in the past so many times, so I negotiated with the towing guy to tow the car directly at my home in Pune. Now the car is at Pune.

            No one has been able to fix this car yet. Both Vidhyut motors and BU Bhandari have expert engineers but failed in diagnosing the car.

            I can’t bear the pain of towing the car any longer, risking my family and exposing them to road accidents and criminal activities. If this happens to my/family VolksWegan will be solely responsible for the loss of material/life. I am going to be filing a legal action for not getting a right level of support and showing negligence in sorting this matter, this issue is recurrent and has been well known to VW. I need this vehicle replaced or my amount refunded due to repeated failures and vw not able to find out the root cause.

            It’s been close to 3 days I’ve raised this with vw customer care BUT no one has reacted / responded on this issue so far. 3 times I have called and every time I get to know that the issue is being discussed internally. How long vw will take in responding to such a serious issue? Hence posting this complaint here.

                Sir/Madam,

                I am a proud owner of Volkswagen Vento for more than ten years .

                I bought the Car in Trichy, TN with registration No TN 45 BY 3390, the service support I got there was excellent and during the last 2 years when I moved to Vellore, the service support there also was very good.

                I have always endeavored to get my vehicle serviced in Volkswagen authorized center which is evident from the records available in your computer.

                Recently, I moved in to Bangalore and I had given my car for servicing A/c with Apple Auto pvt. Ltd, Whitefield, Bangalore on 07th Sept 2021.

                After initial inspection they asked me to change the condenser for which I agreed and paid a sum of Rs. 13, 914/-. After replacement also, the A/c was not functioning, the service is so poor and I had to go to the service centre again.

                After keeping the vehicle for more than a day they are now telling that I have to replace the compressor for which I had to pay another Rs. 30, 000/-.

                If I was informed about this in the beginning itself I wouldn't have decided to change the condenser. Now, I had spent money and my problem still persists.

                When asked for explanation, they are not giving a convincing reply.

                Not satisfied I had taken my vehicle back and I have to get it serviced from other private people where there is much proficiency to handle this.

                The car was given for fixing the A/c Issue. I get a feeling there is no competency for servicing here.

                I'm used to a good service from Volkswagen service centres in Trichy and Vellore, Tamil nadu and my present experience here is very bad.

                Never I have questioned the cost of service before, in the present case, I had spent money but my problem is not solved and hence I would request you to please refund the money spent on service amounting to Rs.13, 914/- (Repair order No. SOA2104664 dt. 07th Sept. 2021).

                I would be thankful for your attention to this and looking forward to a reply on this.

                    Every 2 years(at the max) the ABS in VW car fails. The same things happens to ALL VW owner, with no exception and the company does nothing to rectify the issue.

                    I had same issue and VW referred me to the local service center. What would they do, if parts are of such poor quality.

                      On the dated 08/SEP/2021 I had given my Car Servicing Vehicle Register number AP-29-AY-9198 Repair Order No:- SOA2101092 at VOLKSWAGEN DECCAN ( MODY AUTO INDIAN PRIVATE LIMITED, NO B-8/3, I.D.A. UPPAL, RANGA REDDY DIST, HYDERABAD 500039.
                      At the time of job card preparing service workshop center Mr. KARNATI SRIKAR {service advisor} had done inspection totally and he explain me all the things and i agreed all concern of job repairs for my vehicle.
                      Very next i.e. on the dated 09-SEP-2021 i got a call from service center that my car is ready for delivery.
                      I got to workshop to collect my vehicle After doing the billing and the payment was done then slowly service person told me that my car lock has to replace due to sum technical problem it is not functioning properly.
                      Now sir suggest me what I have to do immediately i questioned him while giving my car lock problem not mention any where and they doesn’t told me about the lock and more over service adviser has not given me any advice also. My concern is sir while giving the delivery time why my lock set as problem has came in to the notice I want explanation and solution sir
                      Even in invoice billing the amount has been charged expensive for your information hence am enclosing the my billing copy also please you can check out my job list .
                      And More over I have awaited for 48 Hours if any one will call to solve this problem nobody has called me up sir, so am rising the complaint against them I lost my patience sir now I request you to please look in to this matter and do the the needful sir
                      Please change my lock set and please resolved my problem with replace of new keyset
                      i noted that most Volkswagen service center are perfect compared to other service center.
                      i wanted assurance from your company that all the problem to be resolved at time

                        I received my polo car from service center Mira road Mumbai 2 days ago after replacement of ABS SENSOR.the Very next day it started flashing again..I had a word with the executive, he asked me to replace all of the sensors .the next night I was coming back from the hospital in the middle of night some four signs started flashing like EPC ABS PLUS 2 MORE .and speedometer stopped working.how come this happens 2 days after the service specially when everything was alright when I left the vehicle with your workshop.
                        I don't understand the technical know how's and your working strategy.the car is receiving yearly services at recognised service center only..so kindly arrange a pick up and get everything resolved ASAP .and pl do not expect any payment from my side .failing to do so will leave no option for me but to escalate it.

                        This seems to be common strategy of VW India. The ABS will invariably fail every 2 years (max) and when one goes off, you get it replaced in service center; magically all other ABS will fail one after another.

                        This seems to be part of part of annual maintenance parts like oil change.

                        VW India doesn't care about customer and hence such poor quality parts are made available to hapless customers or service center knows magic to make the sensor lights on

                          I owned my flash red polo in nov ‘17, and the VW staff compelled me to have nail scratch stickers in all 4 door handles, I too accepted since it is genuine VW product. But now it looks In worse Condition and im unable to remove it.

                            Today, I am at VW workshop. Like me more than 10 customers are here to replace faulty ABS sensor.

                            I am told that this is very common issue and happens more in rainy season.

                            If this is known issue, why is VW playing with safety features of the car ?

                            Yesterday I got 2 ABS changed and while reaching home, I get the ABS lights on again.

                            Ridiculous, isan understatement for your excellent sensor or workmanship.

                            When I was in service center, I found that 12 out of 15 customer are in your center just to replace ABS sensor.

                            It seems this is your strategy to make more money selling ABS sensor than selling car itself. Very poor service, you should be ashamed of it.

                                I have purhcased Polo Car from Landmark Vapi, And we are doing regular services from therie only an since last few services each and every time when we r doing services after that we r getting symbol of ABS and we have to replaced it after each and eveery service hope it can not be co incidence. It is negiligence from your service centere each every time I have to pay additional cost for the same. Company should take serious note of it

                                  We booked Volkswagen polo on 26th November 2020, due to deley in delivery we canceled our booking in Jubilee Hill branch, hyderabad (beside NTV Office )
                                  Till now our amount of rupees 5000 is not refunded. No proper response when called .

                                    I am one of your customer since 2014 and also acting as a brand ambassador ( referred at least 100 friends and families to your brand ) since i admired the brand for years.

                                    Later it is annoying to note that so much of service costs and spare replacements at early stages ( low kms done stage )

                                    For ex I bought one vento during February 2020, vehicle bearing regn no TN 66 AE 0033 which has done only 21000 kms and the issue is

                                    a ) break disk got damaged and to be skimmed to avoid noise
                                    b ) break pad to be replaced
                                    c ) steering became like non power assisted

                                    The vehicle has gone thru 15000 kms service and none of these had popped up !

                                    Is there an issue with quality of spares that is being used to built new vehicles off late ?

                                    Why such early issues persists ?
                                    I started thinking of moving away from this brand, to be honest am afraid of the costs really.

                                    PS : I have one of the best service advisor for all these years and absolutely had no issues with your dealership @ Coimbatore .

                                      Vw vento car I have 4 year time lag 20 times I have changed abs senzors and that amount was 1.5 lakhs above one week ago that abs senzor issue and I got an accident total accidental service cost was approximately 40000rs immediately action that company and exspecially that dealer evm autocraft Kerala very bad service and bad car company
