I am using a volkswagen Ameo highline petrol 2016 model. Till date it used only 17000KMs. In these time period i faced a very critical safety feature failure. That my ABS sensor got failed twice. In 2019 i got this issue and replaced the sensors and now again 2021 November its giving the same issue.
And i have raised this issue to company officials but they are not agreeing its a product quality issue instead they are saying kerala climate and some unconvincing answers. Kindly this safety failure issue and please take an immediate action against this.
And now a days we need to use the car with high risk.

    I have purchased Ameo Highline diesel automatic car in july '19 and ran only for 12500 kms. In the past four months, vehicle broke down for three times on the road due to Engine malfunctioning. I am not using the car for long drive since it is not safe and may stop at any time in the road. The last incident happened on 03.12.21 @6 pm and vehicle towed by VW on 04.12.21.
    I lodged a complaint to customer care on 04.12 and wrote a mail to them on 04.12.21. Despite my frequent follow up, they are not responding to my complaint. It seems, they don't understand the pain of customer when the vehicle suddenly stopped on the road.

      I have Ameo and have been complaining and already left my vehicle each spanning for a week's time for the resolution and till date never got it resolved. Today This time it's more worse. The break completely gets hard to press and actually impossible to apply break and I nearly escaped hitting and getting hit on highway. I got VW just to be sure of the safets and now because of the VW itself I doubt my safety. Will VW answer me or my family on any incidents due to poor servicing, complaints handling and non safety issues due to VW product itself?. I have serviced for this issue in VW Ambattur Chennai.

        VW Polo GT TSI

        I brought a vw polo GT TSI 1.2 litre petrol in 2014.Girl driven car. Very well maintained with upto date car services.

        62k km so far. Suddenly one day temperature sensor light comes on my dashboard, because nobody else can open up vw car, i am bound to go to vw workshop, so i send car for checkup.

        I have a 2014 vento high line petrol which has covered just 30000 kms. Sent for annual service and I was told so many parts (wheel bearing, steering gear, shock absorbers, abs sensor) need replacing. Car has traveled only 1800 in last yr and in 2020 no parts replacement was suggested. This shows poor quality of parts used.

        Request for replacement of the parts at the company’s expense.

            Hi Team,

            I have checked with the Volkswagen dealer, Thrissur, Kerala for arranging me a test drive for POLO GT. But they said that the have blocked the test drive for POLO GT models as well as stopped booking for the same model due to long waiting period. For the same reason I booked POLO GT Matt Edition from Pondicherry. My current location is in Thrissur (Permanent location) and it's not possible for me to travel Pondicherry just to test drive this vehicle. It's really sad that my nearest dealer can't arrange me a test drive. Also they told me that try with any of my friends vehicle if they have. These people are now more interested in Taigun model. I am not sure that what i will have to do. May be I will have to cancel my booking and find another car brand.

            Hope you can understand my situation. Kindly arrange me a test drive from Thrissur, Kochi dealer as soon as possible.

                I own a 2015 Polo Diesel Highline, which i bought on April 14th 2015 ( TN22 CS 6766) from Kun VW Alandur, Chennai.

                I am facing several problems with the car recently. I have done annual maintenance every year as per advice from VW service advisor. I even agreed to turn my car in for dieselgate related recall. Since then, my injectors have been failing one by one. In 2019 January, my car stopped half way on my long trip and i was stuck in middle of highway. I somehow brought my car to service center and i got an injector replaced. Service center people assured that the problem won't repeat again. But now again in 2021 November, yet another injector has failed. Now they are asking me to get my injector replaced from my own pocket. The car has only ran for 19643 Km. Injectors failing in such a short span of time is unacceptable. Last year, i had to replace all 4 of my ABS sensor, because one of it got failed. Service center advised me to change all 4, since issue might come again for other sensors. I was not given any goodwill replacement as well. Spending Rs.20000 to Rs.30000 every year on a car which is just about 6 years old is a huge ask and I didn't know it before buying VW POLO as I was trusting the brand name.

                Now i request you to please help me by providing assistance and discount to replace the injector, since all this is happening after diesel gate recall. I have seriously lost trust on VW brand and if i am not given proper support and discount for changing injectors on VW, I will stay away from VOLKSWAGEN brand in the future and persuade my friends and relatives to do so. I will also share my experience with VW polo in social media.

                  While im taking delivery of my flash red polo, they compelled me to take VW Genuine product-nail scratch guard in all 4 door handles. Now its look very dirty and I asked them to remove it, but it cant be removed. And they are Blaming me, that it last 3 years ., so unable to remove it.                       Below issue has been brought to the notice of customer care and complaint registered more than a month ago. I have got zero support towards solving the issue so far.

                      Vehicle issue
                      The engine on the VW Jetta cut out unexpectedly while being driven. Engine failed to restart and the vehicle had to be towed to the service center on 6th August, Friday. Thankfully the engine cut out happened while being driven at low speeds on residential roads with no other vehicles around. Otherwise this functional safety issue, unintended loss of power while driving, which compromises both steering and braking could have led to a nasty accident. This was not the first instance either. There were a couple of instances over the preceding days when this happened but on those occasions, the car did get restarted.

                      Lack of confidence in Diagnostics performed so far
                      For almost 2 weeks after dropping off the vehicle at the service center, the service in charge was contacted by the customer for updates and the vehicle was reported as still undergoing diagnosis. The injectors were checked and confirmed to be ok at this stage. Some error with cylinder 2 and 3 was being reported in diagnostics, but even after swapping the injectors from cylinders 1 & 4 to 2 & 3, the issue was still being reported from cylinders 2 & 3 thereby indicating it was not a hardware problem from the injectors. This was confirmed by the Service Manager over call as well. Then the fuel line was checked, fuel dumped and fuel changed because the fuel "smelled different". This did not resolve the issue either. Next step suggested was the replacement of wiring. This also did not contribute to fixing the issue. This is the progress from having the vehicle at the service center for more than 7 weeks! Now the next steps being suggested are ECM replacement and injector replacement (although they were checked and confirmed to be ok by the same service center earlier). The lack of root cause diagnosis is very troubling and does not inspire confidence that the issue would be resolved. The replacement of ECM seems like a hail mary from the service team where hopefully the issue gets resolved. The additional recommendation of replacing injectors makes no sense whatsoever. The whole thing feels like an expensive trial and error experiment by the service team rather than a diagnosis driven issue resolution by a technically competent team.

                      Tapping into the expertise of VW India Technical Team
                      I am convinced that the technical knowledge of VW India has not been tapped to help root cause and fix this issue. There should be many similar cases reported across other service centers on a national level that can be referred to and the issues understood better. There should be records indicating how they were resolved finally as well. Furthermore, even the knowledge and expertise of German teams who helped develop the engine and would have access to issues reported worldwide would also be a great way to ensure the issue is fixed in the best way possible.

                      Expectations from a top brand like VW
                      There is a significant amount of trust based on brand value that is taken into consideration when one makes a purchase as significant and expensive as that of the personal vehicle. This trust is earned from the customers over a long time through vehicle reliability, trustworthy customer support and efficient service experience. I do feel that the same trust has been violated and it makes me question why I or any of my acquaintances would ever consider purchasing a VW if customers are in for a bad experience. We have maintained the car as per the company recommendations since the very beginning and all the services have been done only at official VW service centers. The service record proves that. We even went ahead and replaced many parts on completing 10 years even though the vehicle mileage has been on the lower side (73k kms), having always been the second car in the family. This 10-year service generated a bill of almost 1 lakhs! And the problems have come one after the other since then. First an issue was reported in April, when the vehicle was stuck in neutral and gears could not be changed. The service and repair at that time came close to 15k. The engine problems surfaced after that repair was carried out in the same service center in April of this year. The car is just 10 years old and does not have a high mileage on it even. There is an implicit assumption that an expensive vehicle from a reputed manufacturer such as VW will at least survive the duration for which the registration charges are paid for, i.e. a minimum of 15 years of roadworthy life.

But I didnt get a date for sevice as they call me that there is no ABS sensor stock here so cannot service without that and... What should I do for getting this ABS and for service.. I got service date on sep 8, sep 30, oct 7and oct 15 but but before this days they will call that there is no ABS sock

                            Vehicle Name: Volkswagen Ameo Highline 1.5 TDI

                            Incident 1 : On 7th Oct, our Ameo Highline 1.5 TDI was left in Kun Volkswagen service centre, Perungudi for body painting work. Ref attached invoice. Vehicle was handed over to us on 11th Oct PM hrs. That is when we noticed multiple scratches/ scribbling on the instrument cluster. We didn't even remove the sticker right from delivery and were in a shock to see our car like this. And a Saibaba idol that was stuck on the dashboard was also found damaged. The picture was torn.

                            Incident 2 : On 16th Oct we had again left our car in the same service centre for sensor issue. We received our car back on 17th Oct Am hrs. Again a shocker to us this time as well. The key chain that was attached to our key was missing. This might look silly but we are very unhappy with the kind of service being provided by Volkswagen.

                            Both these incidents were reported to the service advisors but no action or response on this so far.

                            Request your earliest intervention and replacement of instrument cluster on your cost.

                                  My vehicle, vento highline (2011 model), registration plate number- MH01AV6940 had been submitted to Volkswagen downtown workshop on the 14th September, i did not recieve a quote or wasn’t told what needed servicing by the advisor till evening the next day (15th sept).
                                  After they recieved a go ahead from my end shortly the same day, they finished and submitted the vehicle on the 18th sept, the details of the mechanical work and scanning included various things primarily-
                                  1) Rear shock absorbers replacement
                                  2) braking system scan (liner and pads)
                                  3) Air filter replacement
                                  I was traveling outstation when they dropped the car at my home and hence was unable to test the vehicle myself.
                                  Now, in the first week of October when I got to drive the vehicle, I find
                                  1) Screeching noise when I brake at low speeds probably due to issues with the liner
                                  2) A/c has stopped cooling which wasn’t the case when I submitted the car for repairs

                                  In my last 10 years of owning and submitting the vento to your authorised service centre is this the kind of reward I get?
                                  Even after charging an exorbitant 24, 000₹ and 3-4 days to complete minimal work I am a loyal customer however spoiling my working air conditioning and braking system I have lost faith in the quality of your after sale service.
                                  After writing to you’ll about this issue, the concerned service centre has called my car and are demanding for and additional sum money to fix the said air conditioning stating that they were not the ones that spoilt it, how does a working air conditioning system get spoiled after service??
                                  I am writing a copy of this complaint to the consumer forum since you’ll are clearly incapable of righting your wrongs.
