Hi Volkswagon team.

I own a VW Ameo 2016 model. Car no. GA 04 E 0692.
I visited service centre in goa reporting noise in front suspension.
Upon investigation they said I will have to replace entire steering rack.
Car has been driven in normal city conditions and has completed roughly 50k kilometer. I believe VW has very high standard quality parts in their vehicles. But I am surprise to hear that it is possible for a steering rack to be damaged completely in less than 4 years and 50k kilometer. This certainly raises question on the quality of the part used while manufacturing.

I hope you will understand my concern here and help me out with the issue. Such issues will only harm your loyal customer base.

    I am really unhappy interacting with VolksWagen Service personnel RAMANI CARS PRIVATE LIMITED, SALEM recently.

    I had been servicing my VolksWagen Vento(TN30BZ 0222) regularly at the authorized dealer RAMANI CARS PRIVATE LIMITED, SALEM. Their response to the recent problem reported is unsatisfactory and I need an explanation, I would say justification, rather.

    To be precise, the problem with my Car was that the RPM shoots up above normal(more than 1k RPM) at idling condition, REAR defogger wont work at this stage, seems some problem with the power generated does not suffice either of those to power up. Raising up the RPM would not solve this either(which should work ideally). However, Powering off the engine and starting it up again helps REAR defogger would power ON now, not sure why this happens and the officials/service personnels at the Authorised service centres couldn’t help either.

    Given that I had changed battery at Authorized Service center(RAMANI CARS PRIVATE LIMITED, SALEM) and changed the Alternator & the flap motor(Genuine parts) from another service person I want clarifications/Justifications for the following

    Also I attached the service history report from RAMANI CARS PRIVATE LIMITED, SALEM.

    Why would I spend on the diagnosis of this issue?. - I shall pay for the replacement parts only whichever would be identified as faulty and replaced, but not for the diagnosis/analysis and not for the parts/tools you would use while diagnosing
    I have declared that I replaced parts(OEM parts) from a different vendor and I would be responsible for any problems identified around this, only if those are proved to be not genuine by the Dealer/Service personnel.
    I need checklists/declaration of condition of other parts/machineries/systems of the car before proceeding to service, to duly track the changes/damages that would happen during diagnosis of the issue.

    Note:-My car is not under warranty and it's 6years old but still i am servicing my car in the Authorised service center.

    Below conversation is the latest update after I am not getting any response from vw dealer

    Thanks for your response.

    I would like to highlight that the issues were reported to Advise(Mr.Vinothkumar M) and Manager(Mr.Jayaprakash) during my last visit itself, showed him directly, briefed him as well yet he has mentioned "problem didn't occur" in his report, pls explain on this. Either he hadn't listened/understood the problem statement or the issue was handled lethargically.

    I would certainly need clarifications on

    1.why the issue wasn't fixed during my last visits?!

    2. How did the service personnel comment as "problem didn't occur" even after me showcasing him during my visit?

    3. How many visits do I have to make to get this issue resolved genuinely?

    I can't revisit multiple times without getting the issue fixed and I am certainly unhappy with the service provided. You being an Authorized service center, haven't made justice being so.

    I would not recommend VW to my friends either

      My Car NO TN 11 AJ 9999. I serviced my car on August, and i told i will purchase Tyre outside but Mr. Vasanth (Alandur Branch)from service team No: [protected] over there compelled me to purchase Tyre over there and told that there is warranty for the Tyre, but it did not last even for two months, but when i ask for replacement no response from their side, People over there do their business only to make money worst response from them.

        Lack of responsibility and Negligence of the staff. I have received delivery of my brand new Polo TSI with the scratches on it’s first service.

        I have given my brand new Polo TSI for first service at Uppal, Hyderabad on this Monday afternoon at 1PM.

        They promised to deliver on Tuesday but they delayed and i have waited for around 2 hours at service center on Wednesday even after informing the advisor well before regarding the delivery.

        At last when they bought my car out, there were scratches & paint got removed on left rear door. Upon asking the advisor he had no clue about it and spoke in an attitude way.
        Finally met branch manager and he assured to investigate on it & provide me the solution on this by Thursday.

        Really frustrated and disappointed with the service.

          Complaint against fraudulent practices of Volkswagen Authorized Service Center, Trivandrum, Kerala, India.

          Ref: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L Comfortline (Petrol) Vehicle Registration No: KL-22E-5886.

          This is to complain about the mental harassment caused by the above stated service centre due to their service negligence and fraudulent business practices.

          On[protected] my car broke down due to worn out clutch plates. As per the suggestion of the Service Advisor at the VW Service Center Mr Ajith Kumar, I have approved for all the essential parts replacement and services to be carried out amounting to an exorbitant ₹ 33, 065.43/-. The vehicle was delivered after 3 days with an assurance that all essential corrective and preventive measures have been taken care of.

          Post service breakdown # 1: After a day while on Election duty away from my residence, my car broke down, noticed petrol leak and smoke. The service technician has fixed the issue and informed that it is due to malfunction of the fuel injector which seldom causes issues. Before this service I have never experienced any issues/symptoms relating to fuel injector malfunction.

          Please refer Invoice no. PIB2007280 dated[protected] for an insight on the repairs and replacement undertaken by them.

          Post service breakdown # 2: Today my vehicle broke down with excessive smoke while travelling with my kids and senior citizen parents leaving me stranded again. Service center denied assistance and the Service Advisor did not attend my call. However, with WV Roadside assistance managed to take the vehicle to the service center. They have informed that the vehicle will be attended on next working day during normal working hours.

          How can the car which was sent for service to resolve the clutch plate issue whereas thoroughly serviced by replacing most of the parts on the discretion of the Service Advisor to avoid any imminent issues, breaks down due to faulty fuel injector on the very next day, an issue that was never reported before nor did my car show any symptoms relating to it earlier?

          While the world is pledging to “recover with integrity” on the International Anti-Corruption Day, 2020 and Dr. Kurt Michels, Group Chief Compliance Officer, VW pledges and propagates “One Group - One Voice: Say No to Corruption”, the ground reality is otherwise.

          Is this the same Volkswagen brand “We keep our Words” with core values of Responsibility/Honesty/Solidarity/Reliability which I trusted and spent my hard-earned money to own my first and probably the last car, or is it the "Betrugswagen" with substandard service support, zero accountability and service negligent workforce.

          I am a high school teacher and a family to support with my limited income and time due to my professional obligations. This pathetic service support has resulted in loss of trust, time, money, and peace of mind.

          Looking forward to an expedited redressal in this regard.

            Horrible service experience, people in customer service are completely unprofessional, have given my car for general service and after complete health check-up the car is delivered to me, as I had taken pick and drop service, in just a few days the car is again showing EPC error and after consultation with Vidhut Motor Pune, they want me to send back the car to the garage, it has been more than a week I have requested for pick up and every day calling to customer care for pick up but since then they are just giving me lame excuses every day, during this Covid everyone prefer to use its own vehicle rather than public transport, unfortunately, if you bought a Volkswagen brand, you will have to experience this, I would request people to look for an alternative option for their car service and this is the reason there are lot many new players in the car service market, this pathetic service experience, and money-making business model is bringing new players,

              Hello Sir/Madam,

              This is with reference to an engine issue with my car given to the service center " BU Bhandari "in Oct'2020. It's now more than 2 months since it's with the service center and no progress has been made.

              I have purchased the new car "Volkswagen Ameo" in April 2018 from B.U Bhandari agency, Pune. All the services were done on a regular basis by BU Bhandari service center, Pune. Total miles driven so far is 33, 000 only.

              On Oct'2020, while driving there was sudden smoke and vibration started coming out from the engine. Hence I had given the Car to BU bhandari service center and they are asking for 1.5 Lakh to fix the engine. I am totally surprised to see such a good / renowned brand Volkswagen car get an engine issue in 2 years. This is really not acceptable.

              I would request your immediate intervention so the engine can be fixed / replaced without any cost to me and also it will help you save your brand as well.

                  To whomsoever it may concern,

                  This is one of your customer Dr Harsha GT, I write this mail to raise my concern about my Volkswagen polo GT bearing registration no- KA 05 MV 0703 bought in the year of 2017 in my wife’s name- Dr Rashmi sriram. Sir/ Madam, I have been very compliant with all your advice over maintenance of my vehicle at Volkswagen service, Mysore road, right from the beginning I had also purchased the advised extended warranty for the same which has very recently expired. Just before a month, once the EPC indicator was blinking I was told that the ECM of the vehicle was damaged and that I need to replace it at my cost. Service of my vehicle was postponed due due to the current pandemic situation. Though I have been very compliant with all your advices and got the extended warranty also done, just coz the warranty is expired by few months I can’t b held for such huge penalty. It is totally unfair to make me bear such huge charges to a such compliant customer, especially a doctor couple at this pandemic times.

                  I will immediately want to escalate this issue to your concerned department.

                    I own a Volkswagen polo diesel 1.2 comfort line. The car is well maintained and single handed driven since the day its purchased. All the services are done well in time. Any replacements also being done on time. But while driving last week I heard a weird sound and the car broke down on middle of highway. Somehow I managed to bring to down to the workshop. There they diagnosed and told me that it's because of the faulty diesel that's been used. Since the day I bought the car I am fueling it from the same fuel station. Also the fuel station in just next to the Volkswagen service center also in the heart of auto agar guntur which is a hub to all automobiles. Volkswagen cannot make customers pay for such problems as no other car has any such problems. On top of this the parts replacement cost with labour is 2.2 lakhs which one cant afford to. Unethical business from Volkswagen. They are fooling people with poor quality cars which look good from interiors and exteriors but when it comes to engine its of the least quality

                        I own a volkswagen polo tdi 1.5 2015 model. I changed my abs sensor on 2018 they said its manufacturing defects happening in every car. But they billed me abs sensor and told me it has 2 year warranty. And now after two years next warranty expired it failed again. If its manufacturing defect y they are billing it. They need to replace it for free or recall all car which have problems. Or they need to improve their product quality still now their car has same complaint

                          My car have a complaint of steering box and I ordered and booked it from your Phoenix car(Volkswagon service Center kannur because of my Inertia as a customer) and it took 3weeks to arrive the spare parts. It’s common in your worst service Center to get a spare parts even car battery at a time ( it’s my personal experience that I didn’t get battery from your service Center because you don’t have Battery stock. 🤣🤣 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Good service). Last Monday I bought my car to your service Center and it’s still there. It’s been more than one week and you didn’t solved and repaired my car steering box complaint??? I have warrenty too.
                          As a customer I have a request that you can’t maintain the value of your car through your service please hand over the dealership to some one who capable 🙏🙏🙏

                            I am to bring to your notice, I left my vehicle at Volkswagen authorized service centre on 2/11/2020, your supervisor Mr. Shreekar checked our vehicle and estimated the service cost around 14500 + Gst, and said that the car will be delivered on the same day, but in the evening on same day he said that car will be delivered for the next day, at the time of billing I was shocked looking at the bill its around 18000/-, when I enquired about the excess amount our supervisor said tha they replaced spark plugs which costs around 2344/- with out my notice, then I asked him whether the old spark plugs are working or not, he said “they are working fine but as per the schedule we changed them “, this is the way you deal with the customers and suck their hard earned money in the name of service, don’t you people think twice before changing it why can’t you ask the customer whether he is willing to accept the change or not, when the parts are in good condition what makes you to change the old one, this shows your greediness .
                            My purpose for the service is to travel to Nellore town, at the time of delivery your supervisor said that the break pads and disc Breaks to be changed all of sudden, if he said the same thing a day before, I would got a chance to think about it whether to replace them or not, due to tight time schedule im unable to decide I asked Mr . Shreekar about the condition whether I can travel or not, he said you can travel with out any hassle, keeping his words in mind I started travelling, during my travel I have observed some different noises while applying breaks, then I immediately rushed to near by service station in nellore, there another supervisor recommend to change the break pads and Disc breaks immediately and given estimation cost around Rs. 9000 /-, I was unprepared and felt humiliated and I have called to Mr, shreekar and explained about my situation to him, he said that he escalated the same issue to higher authorities, but as of now I didn’t received single call from Volkswagen, this shows how you treat customers, what If suddenly anything bad happened to me, can Volkswagen fix it ?, as a loyal customer I’ve lost credibility on Volkswagen brand and I realized I have paid a hefty price in believing Volkswagen . Really felt bad for what happened to me, I realized how VW sucks our Hard earned money and enjoy with them .

                              We bought new volkswagen vento dsg highline plus car on 27th january 2020 in volkswagen guntur showroom in andhrapradesh. we took the car to show room for 1000km service and showroom done 1000 km service and told us everything is ok with car. after we completed 1900 km, the car started giving problem as its not accelarate after 60 km speed and car whole body is vibrating. A glow plug symbol(sring symol) is flashing continuously in vw vento speedo meter console. The next day we took the car to vw showroom guntur. Technicians diagnosed the engine and found that.. Diesel injectors have failed. I am very much surprised and wondered that how come india's most safe and trusted car diesel injectors have been failed for just 1900 km ran. Showroom people told us the possible reason for failing diesel injectors is bad diesel fuel we put in the car. But we have been putting same fuel from same fuel station to innova crysta for more than two years and it didn't made to harm to innova crysta diesel engine. How come same fuel harming vw vento diesel engine in very very short span. we were very much disappointed with volkswagen car engine failures and some i have made up my mind and got diesel injector replaced.

                              we are ignore previous incident, done 15000 km service also in time and using the car happily. But after few months of car usage another diesel injector has failed.
                              This time second diesel injector has failed when car completed 20000 kms., this time we totally lost the trust in volkswagen cars.
                              for the second time also showroom promised us to replace the injector for free of cost since car is under warranty, but i didnt accepted replacement.

                              I want to proceed legally on Volkswagen company for manufacturing such a faulty vw cars and selling to innocent people like us.
                              do volkswagen company really cares when we are family travelling in such a faulty car in night time and carrying valuables with us.

                              I left the car at showroom on 09/11/2020 and don't want to take back until I get real justice from Volkswagen

                                I left my vehicle at VW authorized service center (Vidyut Motors Pvt. Ltd., Pune) on 31st Oct. 2020. When I went to collect the vehicle on 4th Nov. 2020, I found no work was done apart from an Oil change, brake oil, and coolant top-up. Still, I paid a hefty amount to the dealer (15000+).

                                Further, when I sat in the car, I observed that AC is not working at all. Prior to servicing it was absolutely working fine and there was no issue reported to the service advisor. When I asked how this has happened, they have no answer. I left my vehicle at the service center only.

                                Later, there was no follow-up from the VW side and when I called them up to check after more than a week, the dealer is asking me for another 36000 to fix the AC. I replied that it was not my fault, before giving you the vehicle, it was working. So kindly fix it and return the vehicle. On this request, I have not received any positive communication from the dealer.

                                    I have been using the Volkswagen Polo for the last 9 years. I need to admit Volkswagen makes wonderful cars - love the POLO car. I was indeed thinking of buying another VW / Skoda vehicle. With the sequence of events during recent servicing of my car, I am reconsidering and want everyone to know my experience. VW service offering which could help in decision making for your future purchases

                                    In Short - VW have amazing cars but a Pathetic service center.

                                    I would like share the horrible experience with "PPS motor Hebbal" wherein the music system got tampered and the car mat went missing (3d) after service.


                                    Car was picked up for service with current norms ( Covid situation). The driver arrived and check the car before taking it for service. Had arranged for the service due to the problem of sudden raise in RPM at idle and also when the clutch is engaged. Car was assigned to the service agent 'Mr. Neil', he called me to inform that there is a need for spare part replacement apart from the regular service.

                                    1) Accelerator pedal due to the problem

                                    2) Brake plate and pads


                                    I approved for the replacement, paid 20000/- plus 10000 for the regular service. I was informed that it would take a week for getting the parts.

                                    After a week, post multiple follow-ups, Mr. Neil called me saying the job is done but "non-OEM music systems was not working ". I was shocked and angry at this statement, asked him 'How did he get to know'? I informed that the driver had switched on the music system during pickup


                                    He said they had not touched the music system, the question is without touching "how did service center know music system is not working" - it is 100% assured that they had tampered with systems and do not want to take the responsibility


                                    Thought to get the car back as there was assurance from Mr. Neil to get this sorted in the next week. It was the same driver who returned the car, he told me that the music systems was working when picked up the vehicle and that something happened at the service center. I got this in writing from the Driver as it would be handy.


                                    Mr. Neil took the car back after the weekend, it was a different driver who picked the vehicle. The next four days Car was with the service center, I was informed that they are unable to solve the issue. On return of the car, I noticed the mat was missing. On checking with the Service Centre, there was no answer. I was probably missing in the first instance as they had to change the Petal and would have removed it .

                                    I did talk to the CRM manager at the Service Centre, she did not come across as an accountable person.

                                    I sincerely want to ask everyone to think while making the buying decision. The buy decision is usually based on product and after sales experience. I believe VW has responsibility to give their customers a good experience. As an end-user, even though products are great but service centers are no match to their products.

                                        I am working as a class 1 officer @ govt of India and had been using vw vento(diesel tdi) from sep 2015.The car had been taken from ur showroom @ evm motors, by pass road, trivandrum, kerala.

                                        Starting from 2017, the car had been experiencing several breakdown problems like many of its parts started to non function, especially abs and fuel injector.
                                        While the first complaint came in the form of abs, when I had given the vehicle at evm motors, trivandrum, they said that 2 abs sensors had gone down and they need to replace it.i said ok and exactly 2 months after the replacement of the 2 sensors, the abs warning light again started to blink showing the faulty abs again!!!I don't know whether they had replaced the abs at all or VW has low quality abs sensors.but as a customer, I had paid for the abs sensors and after just 2 months the problem came again was just unacceptable for me..But I hadn't lodged a complaint that time.

                                        In 2019, the car broke down again while I was going with my family due to fuel injector complaint and we had to wait for hours on road side with my new born baby, which was a huge embarassment for us.i had paid r.s.6000/- for getting the vehicle towed to the service center and again had to incur r.s.26000/- additional for replacing the faulty fuel injector.

                                        Yesterday, just a year after replacing the fuel injector, the car again broke down due to faulty fuel injector stranding my family and baby once again on the middle of the road.It was a peak time of traffic and me and my family had to incur huge embarassment in front of public and police and my daughter was frightened.

                                        Are you looting the customers by way of replacing faulty parts so that you can make the customer pay for you every year?..who will compensate the loss of my hard earned money and public humiliation faced by us??!!I had been using creta for 5 years and not even frequently using that vehicle as that of VW vento but still creta had shown no signs of any trouble whatsover.

                                        I had just completed the service of the vehicle on August 2020.after 2 months of your meritorious service costing r.s.18000/- I had been on the road stranded..what kind of service and cars you provide??

                                        I am so fed up of repairing the vehicle and the same problems happening again and again and you guys have some excuses all the time..I had been driving cars since 2006 and I am not a novice driver..

                                        I hereby demand you that either you repair my car free of cost or else I will lodge a case with consumer court with all those bills and take it to social media with all those details and make sure no person will buy your vehicles anymore.
