I have a volkswagen polo and have been using the car for 7 years now. It has not been largely used. The registration number is tn 09 bf 9538. The vehicle has had its fair share of issues but every time i have had a service i have experienced an improvement in service except the last two times. I feel tvs service centre on whites road is now only focussed on inflating the service bill for no reason and have made me make so many changes for this service it is incomprehensible. I feel the performance of the car has deproved and even the amounts they have billed me for they haven't actually changed it. They had billed me for a change in the belt of the engine to ensure that the engine does not seize. I feel there has been no change. Also i have had to pay for halogen bulbs but my front right hand side lights still do not function. I feel the entire amount of approximately rs. 56000 i have spent on this service has yielded no reward. I rate this service as a minus on any scale. The service engineer did not allow me to test drive the car and forcibly made me sign the document without even giving me a chance. I would never buy a volkswagen car again in my life and have already recommended many of my friends to never ever even consider a volkswagen cause their service is appalling and it has not constantly been depriving customers of their hard earned money by scaring customers that "if this part is not changed your engine will seize" etc.

    I bought a vw ameo highline plus model from ncr east ghaziabad in oct 2017. As per e brochure released by vw in august 2017 highline plus model comes with apple car play and android auto feature but my car is not having these features. Even after writing so many emails no response from vw. They are just forwarding my emails to dealer and dealer is not resolving my issues.

      My self pradip kumar nayak i purchased one ameo to run in ola when i buy a car your sales man offer lots of thing that service cost is very low unlimited km warranty oil will change in one lakh km every three month my car reach 15000km and my service cost 11000 two time i do service in 11000 thousand rupee like this i calculated that in 2 lac km my service cost will be 1.4lakh that means in this service cost i can buy a nano car. Now i am regrating to have a ameo and also running in ola my two friend want buy polo after hearing service cost they change there plan.

      You are making fool to costume before buy car saying one things after selling saying another things all car company reducing there service cost but volkswagen service cost very high you guys loot people hard urging money i am fool to listen volkswagen sales person words that best car for commercial purpose i am incoming nothing but services cost taking my all money. How can i run car in ola.

        Purchased ameo hl plus petrol model on 8th dec 2017 from bu bhandari pune, but since the 1st day itself facing issues of clutch system. Clutch is too loose and i am unable to properly shift the gear. Whiles shifting the 1st gear, car starts to shake and vibrates a lot. On the steep when car stops it becomes very difficult to lift on 1st gear. Each time we have to release clutch and press accelarater simultaneously which may cause clutch issues in future. Clutch is too much loose and i am facing big trouble. Even when showed to the service center they told that this is a normal issue and manufacturing of the car is like that only. I am not satisfied with their solution so thought of writing in this forum. I would like to get this problem resolved from the company end as soon as possible. Awaiting for a possitive resolution.

          I had a bad experience from volkswagen service center located at perumbavoor, kerala. My car is vw polo. I heard some jerking sound while running in 1st gear. I approached service center & they are not aware of that complaint. And informed me clutch assy had damaged and need to replace. I spent 22.5k for that without indenting any results. Actually only 60% clutch had consumed. Im totally disappointed with service and wastage of money. I demand an explanation and solution for this

            Sir,
            i had purchased polo gt car from your cheranalloor showroom, cochin, kerala.
            On 8th december 2017, i gave this vehicle for 3rd service and i had mentioned them about the unusual sound from the front side of the vehicle. Eventhough the service has done, that sound is still remaining. Therefore, i asked the executive about this, he is saying, for solving this complaint of the vehicle completely, the steering rack should be replaced and it is very expensive one, and i have to pay for it. The remaining kilometres of the vehicle is near 1800 km.
            For years, i am using maruthi 800, tata indica, honda mobilio, innova crysta so on. Even though, all the vehicles had run over one lakh kilometres, no major complaints have occurred. I’m so sorry for this complaint of this car world famous car company.
            I hope you should take necessary action to solve this issue

            My car is damaged in service center and i was not notified. My petrol was stolen. Now am getting an sound in belt, its really pissing me OFF. Vehicle is just 1 year old and it sounds like an 30 year old vehicle. If this complaint is posted, guys make sure you don't buy cars from VW. Such a stupid service center and people who service your car.

                Sub: faulty flywheel in a less than three years old volkswagen vento 1.5 tdi highline dsg (Registration no. Hr 26 cm 7005) with below 30, 000 kilometres on the odometer

                At the outset, for the umpteenth time, i would like to correct you that my name is “arnim agrawal” and not “arnimal agrawal”. Subject to correction, i think in a civilized society, the basic respect which we can give to others (Including customers) is to address them correctly.

                I am arnim agrawal and i own the captioned car which recently broke down on friday, december 8, 2017 at around 9 p. M.in phase – ii, noida (Delhi – ncr). The car refused to get started on that evening despite multiple attempts. It is noteworthy to mention that the battery of this car was replaced about a year back in november 2016 by tanya cars, volkswagen, jaipur.

                At the time of breakdown, the car was “almost” due for service as it had approximately covered 29, 200 kilometres and was due for the second service at 30, 000 kms. However, since the car broke down even before the second service actually became due, i was forced to take notice and report it to my nearest authorized dealer/workshop, viraj automobiles (“dealer”). Prior to breakdown, the car had been constantly creating an erratic clattery sound during idling (“khat khat khat”) as if the same were attributable to a ball bearing or fan belt issue.

                Since the car refused to get started despite repeated attempts, the car was towed by a flatbed truck and dropped at the authorized workshop of viraj automobiles, sector 6, noida (Uttar pradesh) premises on saturday, december 9, 2017 around 6 p. M. Before leaving the workshop, at the behest of concerned service advisor, mr. Shanu tyagi (“service advisor”), i also had a positive discussion on buying an annual maintenance contract (“amc”) for the said car for the following two years.

                As per my instructions, the car’s diagnosis and repair started off on the following day on sunday, december 10, 2017. Also, at the start of the day (Sunday, december 10, 2017), i verbally confirmed my interest in buying the amc to the service advisor named hereinabove.

                As the day progressed, the concerned service technician, mr. Shanu tyagi (“service advisor”) informed me that they have diagnosed and resolved the problem which led to ignition failure. However, on my repeated follow-ups about resolution of the erratic clattery sound during idling, later on, the service advisor reported that the car’s entire flywheel will have to replaced at a cost of around rs. 51, 000 – rs. 60, 000/- (Cost of only the new flywheel).
                Needless to mention, on hearing this, i was shocked beyond disbelief, that how could a car with less than 30, 000 kilometres on the odometer which is less than three years old develop such a serious snag in the very core/heart of the engine itself. It is noteworthy to mention that this car has almost entirely been driven in delhi – ncr and has never been subjected to rough treatment or use.in fact, i would like to call upon the senior management of volkswagen to physically inspect the car themselves and see how meticulously this car has been maintained in last three years of its ownership.

                I consider it important to mention that i used to be very protective and attached to this car as i had bought it on my wedding back in january 2015. Even otherwise, given that this car is my second car and my first car is a fiat linea 1.3 emotion pack (Multijet), i was flabbergasted to see how could a european product with “solid german engineering” turn out to be so delicate and unreliable. Since i am a corporate lawyer with an mba degree from the u. K. (And have also had exposure to higher education in germany itself), as against korean and japanese car manufacturers, i have always had great regard and respect for european cars in general and german cars in particular.

                Admittedly, this car is out of warranty as it does not have the protection cover of extended warranty. Nonetheless, since any car (Indian/korean/japanese/german/italian/french/american) is expected to perform trouble free until the first 100, 000 kilometres (Be it petrol/diesel or cng), i am deeply appalled to be a victim of such poor and crude engineering.

                At the peril of sounding offensive and stereotypical, if i may add, the pride of “solid german engineering” seems to be a make-believe marketing gimmick as it has proved to be worse than even say a chinese product. Irrespective of subsistence or absence of warranty or extended warranty in my case, a fundamental engine part such a flywheel costing as much as rs. 51, 000/- - rs. 60, 000/- is expected to perform smoothly for at least 1, 00, 000 kilometres. Or even more without need of any major replacement or overhaul. This car has always been driven in urban areas, fed with pure, unadulterated fuel and has a clean service track record of regular maintenance with original spare parts at authorized volkswagen workshops. I do not think i need to tell you this but as it is volkswagen/skoda have a very negative image due to their high service costs/maintenance costs.
                Even after rigorous follow-ups with the volkswagen customer care[protected] with mr. Moin pathan and mr. Pramod yesterday and today, i have not received any feedback or call from “volkswagen company employees”. I have been repeatedly and categorically been requesting for a call back from the company and not from any volkswagen dealer/workshop but my repeated escalation calls have been falling on deaf ears.

                Initially, the service manager of the dealer, mr. Gaurav abbi (“service manager”) requested me to bear with them as they sought time to investigate the whole issue and get back to me with a possible solution.in his personal capacity, mr. Abbi has tried his level best to help me but due to the cold and mechanical behaviour or volkswagen company employees, he has not been able to help me much.

                Finally, the service manager, mr. Abbi has reverted today and informed me that the best possible solution that they can afford me is to waive off 50% cost of the said flywheel (Costing roughly rs. 60, 000/-) from the total service bill. Effectively, this still means a financial setback of almost rs. 60, 000-rs. 70, 000/- net after factoring in my purchase of the amc. I also enquired with the service manager that although there has been no warranty coverage after expiry of the original warranty of two years, is it possible for me to pay a hefty sum and have the protection of extended warranty, but he has told me this is not possible post expiry of the original warranty of two years.

                Although i know volkswagen/skoda cars do not enjoy a healthy resale value,
                I have been feeling so cheated and betrayed with the whole ownership experience that i even asked the service manager to apprise me of the resale value of the car on as-is where is basis.

                Given that volkswagen is not a luxury brand (When translated from german to english, it means ”people’s car”), i refuse to pay such a huge price for being an erstwhile fan/supporter of volkswagen. As i write this complaint, i am still waiting to hear from the dealer on the resale value of my car on as-is where-is basis without any further expenditures.

                Since i already have a year 2009 midsize sedan (Fiat linea) which is open for your scrutiny on its maintenance by the undersigned during the last nine years, i no longer want to be attached to volkswagen (Or any of its group company cars), as it grossly cheats and belies expectations of quality, touted by its so called claims of “solid german engineering”. I am happy to wash off my hands completely from this car and brand forever and migrate to a smaller hatchback without any reservations – with the sole feeling of being cheated by volkswagen. Even otherwise, post the widely publicized and criticized us/european diesel emissions scandal of 2015, i do not think volkswagen has any reputation left for which it like to stand up and defend its goodwill.

                On a general note, since i have been unwillingly and unfortunately harassed to such a stage of insanity and suffering, i would also like to offer some generic customer feedback. Although i bought this car on my wedding in january 2015 knowing fully well that it lacked rather basic features like automatic interior dimming mirror, power folding mirrors, cooled glovebox, push button start, sunroof, shark fin antenna, dead pedal and a touchscreen infotainment system (“creature comforts”) when compared to its immediate competition like the hyundai verna and honda city, like a matured car buyer, i decided to overlook these small omissions in the features in favour of “solid german engineering”.in fact, as you know, the aforesaid creature comforts are pretty much de rigueur/standard fare even in a far lower segment of cars viz. Maruti swift dzire, hyundai i20 etc. So much so, as on date, despite being considerably cheaper, even volkswagen polo and ameo carry these creature comforts which cannot be added to my car even if i pay extra money.

                However, shortly after buying the car in january 2015, i was extremely disheartened and disappointed to see that volkswagen bit-by-bit decided to incrementally add the said creature comforts to its vento’s subsequent variants much to my chagrin. When one buys the topmost fully loaded model of a car for almost rs. 14 lakhs (On-road price), one expects the car to be the best equipped variant/model for at least a year. However, this is not the case with volkswagen which keeps updating its cars every few weeks (Not even months) when it faces stiff competition with its direct rivals who manufacture sturdier cars with far greater value for money with cheaper service costs.

                On the whole, i have sworn never to buy and/or recommend a volkswagen group car ever in my life (Including skoda and audi).

                As a corporate lawyer with exposure to higher education abroad (In europe), with folded hands and bent knees, this is my last call and request to your higher management to reach out to me with an acceptable solution. As of now, this car is lying under suspended repairs at the said dealer’s workshop as i will not take any further decision on it until someone responsible reaches out to me from volkswagen.

                Can i please seek have this matter escalated to the service head (All india) with cc to mr. Patrik riese, managing director & ceo. I wish to seek kind intervention of the senior management of volkswagen india to mitigate my extremely negative ownership experience. Please let me have some senior person’s contact number from the volkswagen company itself (Based out of aurangabad/chakan/pune).

                As a last resort, i would be compelled to resort to use social media for airing my genuine grievance and suffering at the hands of a tyrannical, arrogant and unreliable rogue brand like volkswagen. Needless to mention, i do not want to be pushed to a point of helplessness and frustration whereby i have to write to car magazines and initiate legal action against volkswagen.

                Dear Sir, When the Company saw the intensity of my anguish and frustration, they finally relented and reverted by offering to replace the faulty flywheel for free. However, this goodwill replacement of the faulty flywheel does not enjoy warranty protection cover of two years. Hence, the matter stands closed for now. Thanks & regards, AA

                  The complaint i have submitted is regarding the music system the company has installed. Previously when we had given it for servicing, we had informed them about the problem with music system. The problem was that the speaker on the right door on the front side was not working. We had expected that the problem would have been resolved but it got worse. Now only one speaker out of four is working which is on the left side on the back door. I understand that the nearest service station (At thane) is closed. Now kindly give me the address of the other service stations in thane and mumbai. I would request you to please take immediate action against the complaint i have submitted.

                    I have much more issue in car and i am continuously i go to your service center narol karnavati.
                    Recently i have issue with the car my horns were going on and off so they changed the horns and apply the new one.
                    After the horns are replaced the center lock system buzzer is not working, and now they say that i dont have this system in my car.
                    Do you think that i am a fool who is using the car from last year with that buzzer working and now its not working after changing the horns.
                    So i request you to please resolve this issue or else i will go to the consumer court and post this issue in every social media network you are using.

                      I made a booking on 25.11.2017 at 06.05pm with rs. 11000/- for ameo comfortline limited edition at mg road, gurgaon.

                      Mr. Bhawesh misra is the sales executive who i was in touch with.

                      Today, i made a call to him for cancellation and i was told that rs. 5, 000/-shall be deducted at the time of refund.

                      Surprisingly, i was not told about such cancellation charges at the time of booking.

                      It was kinda threatening tone to a female customer by volkaswagen sales excutive saying that, "mam, i made so much effort for your loan approval, got the stamp paper, and now you want to cancel the booking. Now we will deduct rs. 5, 000/- as cancellation.

                      I do not want to go for legal action against him. Therefore, request an early action from your end as i am aware that there is no such policy in any car brand.

                        Hi, i own a vw vento automatic ver the service station at andheri east is horrible :
                        1: they make you wait for more than hour to take the car for servicing.
                        2. Never finish the job discussed and donot deliver the car on time - normal servicing takes 2 days.
                        3. My shock absorbers were checked twice and each time post delivery of the car's suspension detoriated without getting the problem solved.

                            My car is flood affected i had got it towed to ur service centre on 19th sep. And still not got the car back. Everyday ur service advisor mahindra is giving hopes u ll get in 2 days. Every 2 days goes n there is a new story. So i m very disappointed with the service u r providing. And 80% parts r not available in workshop neither in the company factory. And always i have heard from ur team that the machines n servers r never working properly in ur workshop. Which was the reason of delay. Lately yesterday i was called n said the car is ready for test drive come to workshop n take a test drive. When i reached there the car was still going thru some repair work and the manager said it will take more 10-15 days. Now its been 3 months. I m totally frustrated with the service n u guys have tried my lots of patience level. Now i want my car back as soon as possible. I had a gd impression about ur company with such a huge brand name. But after this experience. I would never buy ur products. And would recommend negative reviews to my friends n family. Now i m just waiting for last 10 days what u guys can do n how fast can u give my car back. Or else i ll take a strict action. I ll go to media n describe my experience there.

                              I had met with an accident on 2nd may, 2017. The dealership has done such shabby work that i had to take the car for repeat repair for more than 6-7 times at shri kripa automobiles, nasik.

                              I called the customer care helpline more than 4-5 times and have registered a complaint. I also sent an email to customer. [protected]@volkswagen.co.in in the month of october. It's december and yet no response. The dealership is pathetic and volkswagen india's attitude towards customer care is worse.

                                My polo got break down and i called to the showroom for help. They told they will connect the helpline and will get a call immediately. I got the call after 1:30 hrs. I was with my family and stucked on highway for these hours. I didn't receive a call too till that time.in between the local people surrounded by helped me and i moved the car to another location.
                                This happened on 4th dec from calicut, kerala. I was at calicut town.
                                The car was purchased on 2014 july. Only 3years.
                                I am really unhappy with your service.
                                Also i had a great experience with hyundai before for the same case and at mid night. It took only 1 hr to move the vehicle to showroom. Got a call immediately and they did it very well. I had more worst experience with your service.

                                  I took my VW for service on 7th Aug, and did the oil change and they told there is a oil leakage in oil cooler then that was resolved. after service there was a kind of diesel smell was there while running that i noticed after 3 months there is a huge fuel leakage in fuel injector due to it was not fitted properly, every connector and switches are not re fitted properly, still i noticed oil leakage in engine. Kindly look into these issue and revert ASAP. Kindly call me for any query. Thanks

                                    I purchased a brand new Polo GT TSI on 21 September 2017. The car has run approximately 1350 kms so far. On 1 December, Thursday we took the car out for a ride from Mysore to Bavali, Kerala. After driving about 50-55kms, we started experiencing violent jerks when the car tried to upshift from D4-D5, after a few more kms, it started happening in th lower shifts as well. We had fortunately reached the destination by then and thought that it would not be best to drive the car anymore that day. The next day when I restarted the car, it was all very smooth and we took the car out. But then again, after 40 kms, the jerks started. This time they were a lot more frequent and very violent . I promptly called up KPR cars and spoke to Mr Lohith from the CR and he suggested that I should bring the car once I returned. We again let the car cool down and restarted after a few hours- the jerks were gone. But having had a terrible experience that morning, we decided to cut short the holiday and drive straight to Mysore on the morning of 3rd December. The car remained happy for 40kms and then it jerked more and more violently. Also, the car would automatically downshift once D7 was reached - for no apparent reason.
                                    No matter how much I tried,
                                    the car would not accelerate once it downshifted on a speed cutter.

                                    There was a heavy rattling sound on the left side.

                                    Thanks to our starts that we reached Mysore safely- particularly considering that we put away in the forest with no cellular network and many Elephants around.
                                    We took the car to the local dealer- KPR cars Pvt Ltd. The local technician and the service head himself took the car for a test drive and now the car hopped like a frog with violent jerks every second. The engine warning light was also on and The traction control light was on as well.

                                    Ever since that day, the car is in the Service center and everyone is diagnosing what is wrong with the car. It has been five days and there is no definite diagnosis from their side.

                                    I bought this car believing your commercial tagline- "Not any car- it is Polo GT, Respect "
                                    I feel very cheated as that "any other car" wouldn't have developed a defect this soon.I wish I had purchased a Nano instead. It would move, if not gallop.

                                    I believe that a defective car has been sold to me. The Service center has failed to give me any answer yet.

                                    I request you to kindly look into the matter and resolve it at your earliest. A defective car is not acceptable by any means.

                                        My vento car purchased in 2011 requires a replacement for worn out rear shock absorbers. I stay quite far away from the volkswagon authorised service center and in the car condition i am not able to drive it or tow it there. The service center refuses to sell me the part or help me get it and insists on getting the car to their service center. I am in a fix because i do not know where i can get a genuine replacement for vento shock absorbers or the part particulars for me to ensure i purchase a genuine part. These parts are not easily available in open market. Please help in this matter.
                                        I would like to warn all prospective purchasers of volkswagon cars to be warned of this aspect.in case the car has a breakdown quite away from the authorised service center (*where service is extremely costly) it will be a very sad experience.

                                        The response is very much delayed and I HAD TO GET IT REPAIREDthrough some other service .Very bad customer service.Please think twice before going for Volks wagen passenger cars.
