Experiences with VW Andheri East workshop:
1. This just one incident, previously after taking delivery of the brand new car the knob on the hand brake came off within 5 days . And it took VW Andheri East service center 4 months to change just a hand brake knob.
2.Also they didn’t pick up the car for yearly servicing for 3weeks even after calling them very alternate day and they just kept on postponing the pickup stating that the drivers are not available.

Current situation is that My VW polo highline petrol 2015 was submitted for insurance at VW Andrei east service center (Autommark Motors pvt ltd) on the 6th of October 2017, the rear bumper, trunk and other parts were approved for insurance however the reverse sensor cable was not approved (this is what the VW executive told me) . VW executive said we will have to put a new sensor cable, with no option left I asked him to also fix it. I got the car delivered back on 18th of Oct 2017 at 8pm after waiting at service center for 2 hours. And to my surprise they didn’t fix the sensor cable . The delivery of car was given without the proper insurance liability receipt . The executive said that it’s a Diwali weekend we don’t want to keep the car here as the service center will be closed for 4 days . The executive only gave me the customers liability total. However on asking as to why it wasn’t fixed, I was told that the part was not available . VW executive told me that don’t fix it from anywhere else as they won’t be responsible if it causes any other problem in can and said that the part will be available on 29th October and that he had put in a request for the new cable . I called back on 28th October the workshop still did not have the cable, again the executive said the part will be available on 2nd Nov . I called again on 2nd November and the part wasn’t available . The VW executive said that once he gets the part I will be called and updated. It’s been more than 3 weeks now and I have no update about the part . The executive doesn’t pick the call, and I feel VW is least bothered about the kind of service they give to the customers.

I regret taking a Volkswagen car . Never in my life am I going to consider buying a Volkswagen car with this kind of service .

Apparently the company workshop in Andheri East, MUMBAI is waiting for a part to be replaced. I am highly inconvenienced by this long wait (20 DAYS AND COUNTING) and lack of communication channel regarding repairs.
** Attaching the receipt I was given my VW Automark Motors Pvt Ltd upon taking delivery of the car.

We had taken a volkswagen polo 1.2 mpl highline car on the 18th of nov 2013 from the volkswagen mount road, sundaram motors, whites road, chennai. Unfortunately, now we realized that it was our mistake to do so. We’ve had cars of different makes like maruti, honda, ford, but this is the first time we’ve gone for volkswagen. We’ve never faced any issues with any of these previous cars, but i’m sorry to say that volkswagen is just ridiculous! Your service team is the worst we’ve ever seen! I’d like to brief the bad experience we had with your team.
While driving the car from pondicherry to chennai, on the 5th of september 2017, the car had hit a pothole on the road and the there was a radiator coolant leak. The car didn’t start and we called for helpline. They said none could be sent to the site and that the car has to be brought to the workshop. We tried to get a local mechanic based on whose advice we contacted vw for the availability of the parts in pondicherry. They said the car has to be brought to the workshop and there is no other option, but demanded a hefty sum of rs.10000 for towing it down to chennai. We decided to tow it ourselves and asked our drivers to take another vehicle from chennai to the site and towed it back. So the first lesson we learnt was that ‘helpline’ is just an adword but not at all helpful when we’re in real need!
We took the vehicle to kun capital motors pvt ltd, no.4/587, rajiv gandhi salai, omr, kottivakkam, chennai on the 7th of sep 2017. They waited for the insurance surveyors to come and inspect and started the work only a week after. After getting the insurance approval it took another 6 days to deliver the vehicle, and that too after pushing too much. They promised to give the car on the 14th. But said the vehicle was ready on the 15th. Then said they had to go for a test drive. Then said some part was leaking and had to be replaced. Finally it was ready on the 18th. But refused to deliver unless payment gets credited to their account. Furthermore, they refused to accept cheque. When asked about neft transfer, they said, in that case they would deliver only after the actual credit happens and not based on payment acknowledgement. We had no other go but to make the payment and wait till it got credited. Finally they delivered the car on the 19th sep, with a mind-boggling bill of rs.72224/- claiming that now the car is in perfect condition. We were shocked to see the bill, in which rs.39045 was towards parts and rs.33179 was for service charges! Insurance covered only rs.18k and we paid the rest and took delivery of the car. We just decided never ever to go to this showroom.
Thereafter we drove the car very carefully and slowly to avoid any further repair cost. Unfortunately, the very third next day, (Friday 22/09/17) the car gave a problem. It didn’t accelerate and there was an ‘epc’ warning light on the display. When contacted the workshop again, they said that it could be due to some electrical issues and asked to bring the car on monday. After pleading, they agreed to service the same day, checked and told that they have reset the pins. Again, the very next day, we had the same problem. Contacted the workshop. They said the parts are to be ordered and will be available only the next day. We paid another rs.5000 for the parts and got it rectified. But again on the 6th of november, we faced the same issue. The epc indication is on and the car jerks violently, now and then, while on the move. Again, while running, it doesn't accelerate often leading the engine to get switched off, abruptly. We took the car to the same service centre on the 8th nov 2017 and took delivery after repairs on the 11th of nov 2017. Although they did not charge anything for this, unfortunately we did not get a proper explanation for the actual faults and the repairs done. We were simply told that they have checked with a software and defects have been fixed. But in spite of our request for a detailed breakdown of the faults identified and replacements or rectifications done, we were given an invoice which said the complaint as 'epc light glowing' and the description of work done as foc. Today, the 4th day, the same problem has popped up. Now, we are sure of one thing - vw isn't capable of identifying the faults for its own cars and their service centers are just inefficient and seems to be simply cheating customers after collecting hefty sums as charges. We need the company to resolve the issue at any of their service centres at its own cost.

The problem in my front wheel wasn't solved (If you tell them to repair something they just say that it is broken and needs to be replaced and that you can claim insurance! Just another way for them to make money.). Car was not even cleaned properly when delivered. Stole petrol. What else could they have done wrong?!
Oh and yes, they fraudulently made me pay for the services before the actual delivery was given so that i will be at their mercy even if i was not satisfied.
Horrible experience. But will there be any justice?

We had a vw polo. Met an accident on september 2nd 2017 in indore where we are currently located. Car went to vw devas naka branch dealer for repair. Insurance people were called. The surveyor kept delaying the matter for 5 weeks. The vw person handling it mr. Abrar kept saying the delay is on surveyors part. No one said about parking charges untill the surveyor declared total loss. Surveyor was rude and dint pass on the report until he was paid money over and above around 22 nd october. Once the report was sent (After nearly 50 days) we were told the estimation report and parking in total was 62 thousand. We asked how can it be so much... This is a vw car parked for repair at vw branch only but we were told that insurance has declared that its a total loss hence the charges and if we wanted we could have parked it with us. We said we would have, had we been informed about it. After a complete delay of 2 months, complete mental harassment of chasing the surveyor and mr. Abrar at devas naka indore branch finally car went for auction and once sold the buyer came to the branch to pick the car up. First-62k of estimation and parking charges the buyer helped us bargain and brought it down to 38 k (So why 62?? Is this all not a fixed rate things. Is this like a vegetable in the market you bargain for??) with utter state of shock but still happy that it's not 62 k atleast we were ready to pay via cheque/neft. Second - the general manager and mr. Abrar said cheques and neft aren't acceptable.. Joke??. Who carries 38k cash??? Atm's too have limits. When we said fine in that case we'll have to speak to someone higher up at vw and ask about this policy they accepted neft. The buyer from the auction was with us... Third. Buyer checked the car and claimed parts of the car were missing... They were cut. Mr. Abraar said workers must have done it. So we asked then why charge parking if things aren't safe with them. On which he said he only asked the workers to in an emergency (Without our notice/permission???). Buyer said its an estimated 10 k parts which have been stolen from the car. I agreed to pay the buyer 10 k as asked by mr. Abraar on the understanding that from my 38k they'll minus 10 k. I asked mr. Abrar to make the bill of 38 k... Showing 10 k for stolen parts rest for parking and estimation charges. He disagreed and said will give a bill for 28k... Whyyyyyy.. I paid 38 k in total.. By now the buyer was getting restless so i agreed for 28 k bill and asked the buyer to write down on a paper about missing parts and 10 k payment and his name and contact details.. My car was on loan from kotak. After all was done. I applied for now and still waiting on it but another shock... Buyer called this morning to say few other parts were stolen by vw devas naka branch. September 2nd 2017 we met an accident... As though it was traumatic and till today - which is november 14th 2017 (2 months and 12 days around) we haven't got a car yet... Why did i buy a vw.. Coz i thought their customer service and services in general were good. From the day of purchasing our car from patel motors - vijay nagar indore. Till date.. It has been the biggest harassment and a nightmare for me and my family. So many other incidents, communications, things happened which one after another came as a shock for us from vw. Never expected that... Biggest... How can 62 k charges were reduced to 28k as on papers. How come 10k we were made to pay in cash and mr. Abraar and the gm at vw dewas naka indore covered up for the theft by not giving us the bill for 10k.? How come the surveyor took 5-6 weeks for a report which was passes on in a day after charging us commision in cash... (We were not aware of it and not ready for it later but things were held back intentionally) how come the buyer still claims few other parts missing (Though he just informed and isnt demanding any money for it) how come all this at a brand like vw. I feel miserable writing it down but in actual it's been more painful and heartbreaking.

            Respected sir,

This is in regard to a complaint about my vehicle.

            Registration no. : kl-01-bw-7306
            Chassis no. : mexe15609ft102385
            Engine no. : cls399223
Model : vento 1.6 mpi (Mt) trendline
            Date of purchase: 1/03/2016
Dealer name : evm passenger cars india pvt ltd
Dealer address: nh bypass, venpalavattom, trivandrum - 695029

Right from the initial days of the purchase of this vehicle we have had issues with regard to the operation of the power windows. The problem is rectified after a visit to the service centre but persists after a couple of days.

The latest issue was that both the ac and the windows ceased working simultaneously. The vehicle was given over to the service personnel in the first week of october and they said they had rectified the situation and also charged us for the same.

The very next day the problem reappeared and i took it back to the dealer.
I was given to understand, by the service personnel, that it was due to a manufacturing defect. They said they would replace the faulty piece as the vehicle is still under the warranty period.

The vehicle was given for repair on 20th october 2017. Its been almost 25 days now. Upon enquiry i was told that it would take another 30-40 days for the defect to be rectified.
Me and my family have been put through a lot of inconvenience already.
The attitude of the service personnel is deplorable. I request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

            Good regards,

            Vinu john

Water was entering tail light of my polo (Mh 03 cm 0113) during monsoon. I approached vw dealer autobahn at kurla who agreed to replace it under warranty. I was told that they will call me up as soon as the parts are available. Since i didn't get any call for a month, i approached them again on 11th nov. They called me to bring the car to their kurla workshop. When i reached there, they said that their warranty manager is not there and directed me to neril workshop after confirming availability of part there since i work in navimumbai.
I dropped the car early in the morning and went to office. At 6 15pm, i got a call that the new part is lock os broken and they don't have any other part. I went all the way back to neril workshop. There was no one to attend me and made to wait for 1 hour with the job not done.
I spent rs500 for transportation as i work in koparkarne which is 10 km from neril.
I have undergone mental and physical harassment for no fault of mine.
I want to hear from you justification for harassing customers.

                Hi,

My vento has completed 27792 kms (Date of purchase — 5th march 2016) & given for 2nd service at vidyut motors, pune due to serious brake problem. Earlier service is done as per schedule. As per service adviser, both brake discs/pad needs to be replaced. My expectation is that the same has to be replaced free of cost, as vehicle is under warranty. As per sa, wear/tear doesn't cover under warranty. My concern is as below.
                1. Brake disc should not get damaged within 20 months of normal use.
                2. This problem is identified well before 2nd service due limit (31400 kms /12th nov 2017 — problem identified on @25th oct 2017)
                3. You should re-think the service interval of 15000 kms

My request is to replace the parts free of cost.

                Regards

I have a vento tdi model bought back in 2014. The car hasn't even crossed 50k kms. The car was recently serviced, a month back - annual maintenance. Following the service, in a span of 2 weeks, one of the fuel injectors failed. The car was brought back to service centre and they fixed it after 1 week's time at a steep price of 30k inr. Now, after replacing the fuel injector, in another 2 weeks time, coolant system failed. Again the car was sent back to the same service centre, where after trying to inspect it for over a week, the service engineer informed me that the issue will be directly inspected from the head office and that it will fixed at vw expense. Meanwhile, since these failures are quite critical and since the car hasn't crossed 50k kms, i was quite frustrated and raised complaints in social media as well as via email to vw headoffice.

They were so lethargic to look into those and after a span of 3 days they arranged a call with the service centre again which was quite useless. However after a week, i got the call from the service engineer to whom the car was handed over, said it will not be covered under vw and i need to pay 65k inr to fix it.

                  1. If fuel injector was weak (As they claim), why was it not identified during the annual service procedure?
                  2. While fixing the fuel injector, they would have had the opportunity to inspect the coolant lines and pump, i suppose? Again why was it so hard to identify!
                  3. Now, the service center personnel came to a conclusion that it would take 2 weeks to fix which they said after 3 days of inspection., why is it so difficult to expedite the fixing process? The same thing happened while i encountered the fuel injector problem - they took almost a week to get the car up and running! Why is it always taking so much time to get things done?

The weird part of all these encounters is everything happened after the car was sent to annual service, beforehand, everything was working fine.

I had bought the volkswagen polo anniversary edition and got the delivery on 27/10/2017 while traveling back home the front tyre bursted and on the same day i informed the matter to customer care of respective showroom (Evm kottayam) and thereafter i visited the showroom for the replacement, they told me that they have informed the matter to the tyre company (Good year) and will let me know but so far i didn't get even a call from their side.
I bought this car only for the reason that i have heard a lot about the safety and so called service features of volkswagen but it has given me a really pathetic and negative experience on the first day itself.
I hope u can understand my feeling and consider the same to rectify the problem at the earliest.
                    Thank you.

                      1) every two days every week every date vw staff has given me they have not helped and said “ parts havent come mam”..

                      2) i called the manager of service station ph no : [protected].

                      3) several times and she is yet to revert on status of my sensors!

                      4) i cannot drive my car anymore as even the catalyst is giving oroblems which mr faisal checked when i took car to the service station again.

                      5) i am spending 2/3k min on ubers and cabs every week because of my cars issues.

                      6) this is ridiculous and to see vw after sales service go down to this level is shocking!

My vento hiline desel model 1 yr old. Untill run only 10600 km no problem. I take it for vidhut motor pune service center for first paid service on 3/11/17. On 4/11 they call me and said that there is fuel likage from fuel injection system and you have to pay for it. As car is under 2yr warranty i tell them repair it free of cost but service center not agree. So i call to volkswagon call center and book complaint on 7/11but no response from company also.
It is there responsibility to do it free of cost. Otherwise no meaing of warranty.
They also force me to take extended warranty for 2 yr with cost of rs.18000. If such problem then how should we trust them.
If not done under warranty then i may go in consumer court.

I never knew that buying a volkswagen ameo (Petrol version) comfortline,
Blue silk would be so tormenting. I wanted to present it to my only
Daughter on her birthday on 17th nov 17 and paid an advance of rs 50, 000/- in cash at m/s puran motors pvt. Ltd., allahabad vide receipt no 3579 on 15.10.17, one month ahead, with an assurance that the car would be delivered positively by 15th nov 17.
I was repeatedly confirmed that they would pass me engine no & chasis nos
Etc by first week of the month and delivery would be made before 15th nov.
I was shocked to learn on 09 nov that they just can not deliver by 15th but need another ten days or so. I am writing you as it is exclusively a birthday present to my darling daughter. I wish to keep my promise. Please help.
And arrange to deliver by 15th.

I was Surprised that VW mentioned as the complaint was resolved .. till date there was no remedy and still they are offering a discounted parts and labor.

I don't understand why should i was penalized for no reason of mine and it is purely a [product issue and the company and the local dealer not accepting the fact.. Only one thing I need to know from the technical team of VW as this ABS module failure due to 'Over the time farm' (the same was mentioned by the dealer) I never come across any such cases in my whole automobile carrier(My overall experience in car sales is 38 years) in various brands like Ford / Hyundai/ Merc ect...
If I don't get a proper reply from VW, then I forced to go to consumer court for seeking justice...

                                  Hi
Thank you for your mail and I have clearly mentioned in my mail about my vehicle issue...
But your local dealer is not accepting that the problem occurred due to the product Issue and they keep on mentioning in all their mails that ABS MODULE faulty is because of the time period and it is an electrical part.
You fully aware of that few parts in the car is unchangeable till the vehicle life. ABS also one amoung the parts need not change, since it is nonmoveable. It will faulty only if vehicle meet with a head on collation...
If you check my vehicle service record, no service was lapsed and till 1.5L Kms service done at your dealer service centre.
My question is this the quality of product imported by VW during 2010.
I need this to be replaced at free of cost..or else I have no option to take this legally..I know this is a very very small issue for you. But for consumer it is a big money, that too after 7 years..

                                    A/c tripping problem.
I’ve purchased polo mpi 1.2 on 27 august 2017 from allahabad showroom i. E., puran motors.
On 3 september 2017, i’ve faced a problem related to a/c of my car.
The a/c of my got tripped, only the blower is working and the a/c is not working.
I reached the showroom immediately, they have clean the the fan through water pressure and air pressure but they denied to the fact that the a/c got tripped.
After two days the problem again rise and i informed the service manager there.
They told me that to come tomorrow.
The second time they found that the gas in the compresser is 50 gm as it has to be 500gm (+- 15 gm) normally and they refilled it.
After one week, the problem again persisted, they check the whole thing again and kept my car for two days.
The result was that there is low compressor oil and they refilled it again.
After four days of that, the problem again arises and they check the car and told me that your car is normal and the problem will not rise again.
After one week the problem again rises so they have dis ticket my car.
Within one week from that they have changed my compressor unit.
But on 5 november 2017 the problem again came into existence.
So, i ‘ve visited the service center around ten to twelvth times but my problem is not resolved.
I’m totally not satisfied with the car and the service prvided there.
It’s my humble request to the vw company to kindly replace my car.
Me and family are totally fedup with this annoying car.
Take attention to my complain and kindly respond to my complain.

Booked vento from volkswagen thane in sep 2017 and was promised delivery date of 29th sep 2017. Dealership ran into issue, failed delivery and i requested cancellation and refund on 12th oct 2017. After multiple followups on oct 24th they said i will get the refund within 10-15 days. Now again on 30th oct, they are saying refund might take further 1 month and not giving a particular date. Also they are threatening me to take delivery instead (And that too of a demo car).

Raised multiple complaints (Cc100634, med24198) with volkswagen india. Can't believe how they are allowing to run such dealership. It has caused me great harassment, loss of time and still waiting for my refund.
