I purchased the volkswagen vento tsi highline car[ vin: mexe17605ht132403] on 31th may 2017 from vidyut motor, pune. This car is giving problem from 1st week of purchase only and below are the details of this:-
• noise was coming while braking:- visited vidyut motor and after trail issue was admitted by technician there. They suggested to leave car there for 2 days as they wanted some expert from vw plant to visit the check the issue. Car was in workshop from 12june till 16june and the issue was fixed by replacing some parts.
• steering pulling issue:- this issue was also reported and resolved in same period of june 2nd week.
• noise from doors:- this issue started appearing in last week of june and again its reported to vidyut motor. They did some treatments to door but not much benefit. They told that some gel need to be apply on doors to resolve this problem which was not available there and they need to order that.in next two month i visited and enquired multiple time but its was still not there. Initially this issue was minor but it’s now becoming major as noise is increasing with time. Whenever there is rough patch or hump on road a loud cracking noise keep coming from all doors. Recently i’ve been informed that its known problem and even gel will also not help.in a way i’ve been told that vw don’t have any solution to this problem. This issue was also highlighted to customer care also during feedback calls but not resolution.
I’ve totally lost the excitement of driving the new car and every day while driving the cracking noise from door really making me puzzled and stressed.
Please provide some solution to this issue on priority

This problem has not yet resolved. Dealer tried something but its not able to resolve the issue. Awaiting for the next step from them.

VW Germany imported engines were really good. Moment VW India Pune started giving VIN# from Pune factory since early 2015, mostly faulty engines are coming. I am also a victim of repeated harassessment by VW OLS Kolkata showroom and its service centre. My 2015 May POLO Highline car is going to be scrap soon. A repeated complaint with copy to CEOs also not helping

    Dear reputed car manufacturer

    My vehicle was given for oil service and small body shop work on 27.10.2017., after 15 days only this small scratch removal body shop work completed and given for oil service. On 10/11/2017, during before body shop work starting, they were called me and told me that there is a huge white smoke is coming while starting the car, while giving my car to service on 27.10.2017 there is no smoke observed followed by on 28.10.2017 body shop also raising job card.
    In the mean time after idle at body shop from 28.10.2017 to 10.11.17 what happened to my car is not known. Also the persons from pondicherry service, there are claiming that, any body shop work in car will takes minimum 30 to 45 days to complete the work. This is not at all acceptable to any one who is having the car with small scratches, tinkering and painting work.
    Also the very serious issue is, on 10.11.2017, they called me and told that the reason for the white smoke from the exhaust while idling is due to failure of egr valve, which is not evidenced during the preparation of job card on 27/28.10.2017.
    On 15.11.2017 service person called me and checked the egr valve in front of me from my car, there is no fault indication in egr as well as the coolant oil level sensor. Why this is not indicated in the system, if this has failure?.
    Also the spare is not available to replace immediately, they are asking me to wait further 10 days for getting the spare parts from volkswagen spares. Such a reputed car manufacturer in the world, why can't have minimum spare of at least one no.in the service station at any moment of time?.

    I ask them to replace the spare if it failed. But, surprisingly i come to know that the spare cost for one new egr valve is rs. 49, 000/=, also there is no high technology/ complications involved in this valve manufacturing to bear that cost.
    If this is the spare cost, what will be the spare cost for all the spare kit in a volkswagen polo tdi hi-line diesel car? Is this 1 crore rupees?. How this can happen rs. 6.6 lakhs purchased value car is having the spare parts cost of greater than 1 crore if we procure it as a spare parts?.

    This shows that any spare part cost selling it from the reputed volkswagen group is 150 ~ 200 times more costlier than the actual part cost. This is not at all acceptable even in the european/ american market customers who are paying cost also for scrap parts disposal. This kind of spares pricing will not attract any new customers to choose & procure these reputed cars in future.

    Please look into this very seriously with your spares pricing strategy and serve the customers with optimal spare price as listed during the new vehicle delivery in future to hold your reputation in growing indian market.

    Also note that, with my very regular follow ups to the service station, now one month going to be completed after 27.10.2017 to 24.11.2017, my vehicle is not delivered so far and till now i am not known when it will be delivered to me after the complete service.

      I have a volkswagen polo tdi, on 22.04.17 a software up-gradation done in terms of euro-iv in my car. After that up gradation various problems appeared in terms of car performance like black smoke, poor acceleration, engine vibration, engine knocking. We have visited 4 times to solve those problems at topsia volkswagen service center, and during our last visit we were informed that there might be an issue in fuel injector, so we have to submit our car for 3-4 days and they will repair or replace the injector free of cost as it occurs due to the software up-gradation. Now it has been 14 days no reply came from there end. While we tried to contact them, the only response comes from there end is they will let us know.
      It is clear that problem appeared to my car due to software up-gradation and we have informed various time to the service center to remove that software as if it is experimental, but they denied every time. And it is quiet clear that euro-iv software and fuel injector frequency is not laying on same pattern therefore therefore this injector damage issue may occur frequently, if there is no action taken. And i am not the only person who is facing this issue, so please admit and resolve whatever the problem is.
      Didn't expect this from such reputed brand like yours.

      > Initially they said 12k,
      > a week later it was 70k
      > after an argument, they have told maximum 1.8 lakhs and they will consider to do it in the goodwill basis
      > After a strong argument, they told 3 lakhs. They also claimed that the last service was not done, after showing the bill proof, they accepted with a lame that it was wrongly updated in the system.
      > Now they have sent a quotation for 7.5 lakhs, which is atrocious and exceeds the cost of the vehicle.

      We have recorded all the conversation and we are planning to take it legally, incase if the issue is not addressed in a couple of days.

      I heard a news from various social media's that volkswagen is closing their operations in india. I already booked ah vw polo. If this news is true how will i get service for my car after 2 3 years!

        I have purchased polo gt tsi during diwali (18-nov-2017) and had a long drive to goa on 31st nov.'17. The car has reg.# mh02ep8261 and is purchased from automark dealer in andheri (W). The car started giving trouble on 5th nov. And immediately it was taken to vw showroom in panaji to get more details to trouble shoot the issue. The epc indicator is shown on the dashboard in between the ride and car stops to accelerate. On advice of the panaji showroom executive, the car was taken to verna service centre. After examination it was reported that pressure actuator is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. Initially it was said that the part will be shipped from germany and it will take minimum 15 days. After following up with the andheri service centre manager he made arrangement for the part within weeks time. After replacing this part issue was not resolved and the advice was to change entire turbo. The car is still with the verna (Goa) service centre and i don't know how many more days they will take to get this car in usable form. Now i felt i made a very bad decision to purchase volkswagen car. The dealer has not helped in expediting this issue.

            Last month on 28 sept 2017 i gave my car for servicing and they asked us to change steering rack and shocker mounts etc we said them to replace them and charged rs 14905.68. Now again that sound started to come and they are saying to change those parts again

            I mean to say that volkswagen india is cheating their customers as high as they can if someone speaks they will say its mechanical issue

              I had bought the vw ameo highline plus from phoenix cars private ltd, kannur, kerala on september 18 and surprised to see that there was no mudflaps and floor mat available on the car. This model was the top model ie the highline plus, still they have not provided these basic accessories with the car.

              Is volkswagen is aware of this? Or these are additional features sold by vw for their benefits?/

                We had purchased our volkswagen polo in feb 2013 but the year of manufacture was 2012 from ramani cars coimbatore. We have been paying for bumper to bumper insurance for all these years. Without our knowledge the company had terminated the bumper to bumper insurance and made it a normal one. When we had taken our vehicle for service they had informed us saying that bumper to bumper insurance is only for five years. But for your information our vehicle is only 4 years old and we had asked your company representatives to enquire the same but we haven't received any updates even after three months. We could have easily done the insurance from some other dealer at a lower cost but we did it with you so that we don't get cheated. But to our disappointed your service is much worst and your support for client is zero. I had enquired about the bumper to bumper insurance from other dealers they said five years from the date of registration but you have cheated by telling from the year of manufacture not even date of manufacture.
                Kindly check your records and do the needful

                  I have completed 70000. And my vehicle model is 2013 vento diesel.
                  From 55000km, i am getting steering shake. I enquired the service team, they asked me to replace drive shaft. Yes, i have replaced with the price of 8000.
                  Before my water pump and timing kit got replaced, that was raised a big concern and paid with warranty. Now recently i again raised a concern about my steering shake/noise. They asked me to replace steering rack with the cost of around 18000. My big concern is, within this km why should i replace my steering rack, then what would be the quality of your product. From the start being used only company maintenance and very genuine driving.
                  Consider my request and replace the steering rack with warranty.

                    We own a 2012 volkswagen vento 1.6 cr mt comfortline car with registration number ka-41-p-6121. Vin number : wvwf12605ct052530.

                    Was a very happy customer of vw with the car performing admirably well for so many years with no major issues until the last service on 28 - july - 2017.

                    A software update was done to the car because of the emission issues (Diesel gate scandal of volkswagen) and it was just a software changes to the car and there won't be any performance issues. Believing in the service advisor's word i left the service centre.

                    While taking delivery of the car, there was considerable increase in engine noise levels of the car, there was more vibrations from the engine than what it was before, there was decrease in power of the car and some intermittent jerking of the car once in a while.

                    Promptly complained to the service advisor about the charge in behaviour of the car. Advisor said that the car needs time to get adjusted to the change in update and car would return to normal after few 100 kms.

                    But there was no decrease in engine noise nor vibrations as told by the advisor. Been to the service centre for another issue and asked about removing the software update as i was not happy with the difference in car's behaviour but my request was declined since volkswagen doesn't approve o[censored]pdate removal.

                    On 27 october 2017 i opted for volksfest that was going on in mysore road service centre, bangalore, the car was not found to have any issues as told by the service centre after volksfest intensive check up.

                    Now to the issue, my car has run around 5k kms, while traveling with family members in the car on 18th november 2017, night, all of a sudden the there was loss of power from the car with the engine check light on. Limped home which was quite nearby.
                    Called up the next 19-nov-2017 on mysore road service centre but was not answered as it was a sunday. Called on monday and was asked to bring it to service centre, limped to the service centre, service advisor told they need to scan the car for issues and told that they would call back with the results of the scan.

                    After scanning advisor says one of the injector is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced and other than that there is no issues. Reason for malfunctioning is faulty diesel. Now my question to volkswagen is if there is problem in fuel why will only 1 injector fail...?

                    After so many years of good performance by my car which was refueled in the same bunk all these years why suddenly the issue with injector so close after the issue...?

                    Volkswagen is trying to dupe people into thinking that there is no problem with their software update but we know clearly that is not the case, and there are numerous issues after the software update, not only in india but all over the world, with complaints about -

                    Reduced power
                    Increased engine noise
                    Egr valve failures
                    Injector failures
                    Dpf filter blockages
                    Reduced mpg / fuel efficiency.

                    To mask the short comings of your mistakes and inefficiency you're taking your loyal customers for a ride...?

                    Didn't expect this from such reputed brand like yours.

                    Now what else is this than quite clear erosion of trust that we had in volkswagen...?

                    Software update was done at PALACE CROSS RAJAJINAGAR service centre ( not Mysore road service centre ), Bangalore on 28- July-2017 with the Assurance that there won't be any changes in Engine performance or noise. But all that turned out to be false Assurance s ( Should I say PROMISES considering the HUGE REPUTATION that your company had and the TRUST I had in your BRAND ).

                    Performance is down, increase in Engine noise levels, increase in vibrations, intermittent/random jerking, everything turned out to be Bad after the Software Update.

                    I brought the car for all the GOOD reasons it came with and the BLIND FAITH I had in VOLKSWAGEN BADGE it came with but UNFORTUNATELY is not the car it was before.

                    I was very UNHAPPY with the Software update and requested to revert back to the old version but was declined. I even offered to give them in writing that I wanted the old version back but was denied saying that they're not authorised to revert the update once done.

                    It was Volkswagen's inefficiency to control Emissions which caused all the problems is facing now. To rectify that mistake you offered to install Software update and now I am facing the consequences.

                    What was my mistake in this...?

                    Same here from a Kolkata based owner. Car was top notch then software was upgraded and the injectors failed TWICE. Car is now sitting in garage.

                    Hi all Vivek here from Bangalore and facing the similar kind of a problem. Mine is 2015 polo 1.5 tdi. Since the software upgrade the car has lost most of its power and sounds more worse than tractor, the engine knocks as if its gonna fall from the car. Complete jerking issues, lots o[censored]nwanted vibrations creeping into the cabin.
                    Already planning to go to consumer court regarding this, if anybody wants to join thr fight then feel free to communicate with me or ping a message here in the forum. I guess volkswagen is playing a child's game here with Indian consumers.

                      My vehicle got accident on 13.11.17 and my vehicle has given to cheranellore service station on 14.11.17. Yesterday service station person informed me that insurance survey is over and vehicle is handed over to service.

                      But today i heard that one part is not available in the service station. It will come only after 2 days. So completion work may be delayed.

                      It is a very unpleasant thing that work is pending due to the non availability of spare parts. I have purchased this vehicle in the month of oct 2017 only.

                      I understand that the service station is a main station. If this station also facing spare parts shortage, how you can satisfy your customers.

                        I paid full amount for polo top and +, additional i paid 5000, and 30, 000 cheque without intimation they bounce the cheque the sales man (Vamshi) told me he will refund the amount in 2 to 3 day's its being 2 months till i did'n get my amount and the sales man not even piking up my phone call's, and the car condition not perfect i give so meany complaints but still no action i request to tack a action as soon as possible

                            Experiences with VW Andheri East workshop:
                            1. This just one incident, previously after taking delivery of the brand new car the knob on the hand brake came off within 5 days . And it took VW Andheri East service center 4 months to change just a hand brake knob.
                            2.Also they didn’t pick up the car for yearly servicing for 3weeks even after calling them very alternate day and they just kept on postponing the pickup stating that the drivers are not available.

                            Current situation is that My VW polo highline petrol 2015 was submitted for insurance at VW Andrei east service center (Autommark Motors pvt ltd) on the 6th of October 2017, the rear bumper, trunk and other parts were approved for insurance however the reverse sensor cable was not approved (this is what the VW executive told me) . VW executive said we will have to put a new sensor cable, with no option left I asked him to also fix it. I got the car delivered back on 18th of Oct 2017 at 8pm after waiting at service center for 2 hours. And to my surprise they didn’t fix the sensor cable . The delivery of car was given without the proper insurance liability receipt . The executive said that it’s a Diwali weekend we don’t want to keep the car here as the service center will be closed for 4 days . The executive only gave me the customers liability total. However on asking as to why it wasn’t fixed, I was told that the part was not available . VW executive told me that don’t fix it from anywhere else as they won’t be responsible if it causes any other problem in can and said that the part will be available on 29th October and that he had put in a request for the new cable . I called back on 28th October the workshop still did not have the cable, again the executive said the part will be available on 2nd Nov . I called again on 2nd November and the part wasn’t available . The VW executive said that once he gets the part I will be called and updated. It’s been more than 3 weeks now and I have no update about the part . The executive doesn’t pick the call, and I feel VW is least bothered about the kind of service they give to the customers.

                            I regret taking a Volkswagen car . Never in my life am I going to consider buying a Volkswagen car with this kind of service .

                              My vento tsi was submitted for repair on the 12 th of oct 2017, as the yellow engine light was flashing. It is under warranty and also amc cover. I got the car back on 17th of oct. However since the problem recurred the car was sent back for repair on 27/10/17.

                                We had taken a volkswagen polo 1.2 mpl highline car on the 18th of nov 2013 from the volkswagen mount road, sundaram motors, whites road, chennai. Unfortunately, now we realized that it was our mistake to do so. We’ve had cars of different makes like maruti, honda, ford, but this is the first time we’ve gone for volkswagen. We’ve never faced any issues with any of these previous cars, but i’m sorry to say that volkswagen is just ridiculous! Your service team is the worst we’ve ever seen! I’d like to brief the bad experience we had with your team.
                                While driving the car from pondicherry to chennai, on the 5th of september 2017, the car had hit a pothole on the road and the there was a radiator coolant leak. The car didn’t start and we called for helpline. They said none could be sent to the site and that the car has to be brought to the workshop. We tried to get a local mechanic based on whose advice we contacted vw for the availability of the parts in pondicherry. They said the car has to be brought to the workshop and there is no other option, but demanded a hefty sum of rs.10000 for towing it down to chennai. We decided to tow it ourselves and asked our drivers to take another vehicle from chennai to the site and towed it back. So the first lesson we learnt was that ‘helpline’ is just an adword but not at all helpful when we’re in real need!
                                We took the vehicle to kun capital motors pvt ltd, no.4/587, rajiv gandhi salai, omr, kottivakkam, chennai on the 7th of sep 2017. They waited for the insurance surveyors to come and inspect and started the work only a week after. After getting the insurance approval it took another 6 days to deliver the vehicle, and that too after pushing too much. They promised to give the car on the 14th. But said the vehicle was ready on the 15th. Then said they had to go for a test drive. Then said some part was leaking and had to be replaced. Finally it was ready on the 18th. But refused to deliver unless payment gets credited to their account. Furthermore, they refused to accept cheque. When asked about neft transfer, they said, in that case they would deliver only after the actual credit happens and not based on payment acknowledgement. We had no other go but to make the payment and wait till it got credited. Finally they delivered the car on the 19th sep, with a mind-boggling bill of rs.72224/- claiming that now the car is in perfect condition. We were shocked to see the bill, in which rs.39045 was towards parts and rs.33179 was for service charges! Insurance covered only rs.18k and we paid the rest and took delivery of the car. We just decided never ever to go to this showroom.
                                Thereafter we drove the car very carefully and slowly to avoid any further repair cost. Unfortunately, the very third next day, (Friday 22/09/17) the car gave a problem. It didn’t accelerate and there was an ‘epc’ warning light on the display. When contacted the workshop again, they said that it could be due to some electrical issues and asked to bring the car on monday. After pleading, they agreed to service the same day, checked and told that they have reset the pins. Again, the very next day, we had the same problem. Contacted the workshop. They said the parts are to be ordered and will be available only the next day. We paid another rs.5000 for the parts and got it rectified. But again on the 6th of november, we faced the same issue. The epc indication is on and the car jerks violently, now and then, while on the move. Again, while running, it doesn't accelerate often leading the engine to get switched off, abruptly. We took the car to the same service centre on the 8th nov 2017 and took delivery after repairs on the 11th of nov 2017. Although they did not charge anything for this, unfortunately we did not get a proper explanation for the actual faults and the repairs done. We were simply told that they have checked with a software and defects have been fixed. But in spite of our request for a detailed breakdown of the faults identified and replacements or rectifications done, we were given an invoice which said the complaint as 'epc light glowing' and the description of work done as foc. Today, the 4th day, the same problem has popped up. Now, we are sure of one thing - vw isn't capable of identifying the faults for its own cars and their service centers are just inefficient and seems to be simply cheating customers after collecting hefty sums as charges. We need the company to resolve the issue at any of their service centres at its own cost.

                                  The problem in my front wheel wasn't solved (If you tell them to repair something they just say that it is broken and needs to be replaced and that you can claim insurance! Just another way for them to make money.). Car was not even cleaned properly when delivered. Stole petrol. What else could they have done wrong?!
                                  Oh and yes, they fraudulently made me pay for the services before the actual delivery was given so that i will be at their mercy even if i was not satisfied.
                                  Horrible experience. But will there be any justice?

                                    We had a vw polo. Met an accident on september 2nd 2017 in indore where we are currently located. Car went to vw devas naka branch dealer for repair. Insurance people were called. The surveyor kept delaying the matter for 5 weeks. The vw person handling it mr. Abrar kept saying the delay is on surveyors part. No one said about parking charges untill the surveyor declared total loss. Surveyor was rude and dint pass on the report until he was paid money over and above around 22 nd october. Once the report was sent (After nearly 50 days) we were told the estimation report and parking in total was 62 thousand. We asked how can it be so much... This is a vw car parked for repair at vw branch only but we were told that insurance has declared that its a total loss hence the charges and if we wanted we could have parked it with us. We said we would have, had we been informed about it. After a complete delay of 2 months, complete mental harassment of chasing the surveyor and mr. Abrar at devas naka indore branch finally car went for auction and once sold the buyer came to the branch to pick the car up. First-62k of estimation and parking charges the buyer helped us bargain and brought it down to 38 k (So why 62?? Is this all not a fixed rate things. Is this like a vegetable in the market you bargain for??) with utter state of shock but still happy that it's not 62 k atleast we were ready to pay via cheque/neft. Second - the general manager and mr. Abrar said cheques and neft aren't acceptable.. Joke??. Who carries 38k cash??? Atm's too have limits. When we said fine in that case we'll have to speak to someone higher up at vw and ask about this policy they accepted neft. The buyer from the auction was with us... Third. Buyer checked the car and claimed parts of the car were missing... They were cut. Mr. Abraar said workers must have done it. So we asked then why charge parking if things aren't safe with them. On which he said he only asked the workers to in an emergency (Without our notice/permission???). Buyer said its an estimated 10 k parts which have been stolen from the car. I agreed to pay the buyer 10 k as asked by mr. Abraar on the understanding that from my 38k they'll minus 10 k. I asked mr. Abrar to make the bill of 38 k... Showing 10 k for stolen parts rest for parking and estimation charges. He disagreed and said will give a bill for 28k... Whyyyyyy.. I paid 38 k in total.. By now the buyer was getting restless so i agreed for 28 k bill and asked the buyer to write down on a paper about missing parts and 10 k payment and his name and contact details.. My car was on loan from kotak. After all was done. I applied for now and still waiting on it but another shock... Buyer called this morning to say few other parts were stolen by vw devas naka branch. September 2nd 2017 we met an accident... As though it was traumatic and till today - which is november 14th 2017 (2 months and 12 days around) we haven't got a car yet... Why did i buy a vw.. Coz i thought their customer service and services in general were good. From the day of purchasing our car from patel motors - vijay nagar indore. Till date.. It has been the biggest harassment and a nightmare for me and my family. So many other incidents, communications, things happened which one after another came as a shock for us from vw. Never expected that... Biggest... How can 62 k charges were reduced to 28k as on papers. How come 10k we were made to pay in cash and mr. Abraar and the gm at vw dewas naka indore covered up for the theft by not giving us the bill for 10k.? How come the surveyor took 5-6 weeks for a report which was passes on in a day after charging us commision in cash... (We were not aware of it and not ready for it later but things were held back intentionally) how come the buyer still claims few other parts missing (Though he just informed and isnt demanding any money for it) how come all this at a brand like vw. I feel miserable writing it down but in actual it's been more painful and heartbreaking.

                                      This is in regard to a complaint about my vehicle.

                                      Right from the initial days of the purchase of this vehicle we have had issues with regard to the operation of the power windows. The problem is rectified after a visit to the service centre but persists after a couple of days.

                                      The latest issue was that both the ac and the windows ceased working simultaneously. The vehicle was given over to the service personnel in the first week of october and they said they had rectified the situation and also charged us for the same.

                                      The very next day the problem reappeared and i took it back to the dealer.
                                      I was given to understand, by the service personnel, that it was due to a manufacturing defect. They said they would replace the faulty piece as the vehicle is still under the warranty period.

                                      The vehicle was given for repair on 20th october 2017. Its been almost 25 days now. Upon enquiry i was told that it would take another 30-40 days for the defect to be rectified.
                                      Me and my family have been put through a lot of inconvenience already.
                                      The attitude of the service personnel is deplorable. I request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.
