[Resolved] Volkswagen India — Tyre Replacement Manufacturrrer - Apollo | |||
I own Cross Polo 1, 2 TDI. It is 8 months old and 15K km driven. My vehicle tyre has an issue of bubble formation which is internal to the tyre. One day I noticed there is a bubble on the left hand side front tyre. I took the tyre to couple of Apollo vendors and received comments like you should go to showroom authority. They were pretty sure that it is a replacement case but no one took the responsibility. Same scene took place at the Volkswagen Ahmednagar Showroom.It took the hardly 5 minutes to judge that it is an external impact to the tyre. Funny part is there is not a minor mark on the outer side which signifies the impact. I have already registered complaint against Volkswagen Ahmednagar for their non co-operation. (CCR16254). I need immediate attention to this issue as it has been handled in wrong manner and it is not my fault. If a tyre which looks perfect by outer side and been damaged internally of a new vehicle then how does the user is responsible. Please look in to this issue at the earliest as I am not able to use my vehicle. I need replacement and I have strong reason for that. Whatever reasons have been suggested are completely non practical. The tyre is with showroom authority. Hence no photos available. If needed please ask Volkswagen Ahmednagar. Complaint (CCR16637) has been resolved. VW Ahmednagar dealership had given 50% contribution for the new tyre though the Apollo vendor had rejected the replacement claim. I thank VW management and VW Ahmednagar dealership for looking in to it and get it resolved. Still I believe VW management should take care of these services from vendor side, it is affecting thier brand value. This issue should have been resolved at initial stage but delership and vendor service was not up to the mark. But it is VW Management who took this one to resolution. Thanks Again

As you are well aware, that the tyre company had blatantly rejected your claim even though it was under warranty. Being a customer centric company, we feel your pain and are well aware of the hardship faced by you. As a special case for you being a loyal and ardent customer of our dealership, our director Mr. Ritesh Nayyar after telephonically discussing and mutually agreeing with you, we will compensate you for 50% of the new tyre cost. We will arrange to deliver the new tyre (as per company specifications) to you at your address in Sangamner at no cost to you. Your old tyre is with the tyre company. We will also arrange to deliver the same to you as and when we receive it from them.
We also assure you that we will take utmost care of your future concern if any arises including car warranty and insurance related services.
We will appreciate a line of confirmation from your end so that we can procure the tyre and dispatch it before end of the day.
Assuring you best services at all times.

The claim under warranty have been rejected by the tyre company.
The causes for the failure are :Overloading, over inflationpressure, sudden impact, distortion of tyre casing caused by striking against anobstacle.
Hence it cannot be replaced under warranty.

We have sent the tyre in the tyre company for detail inspectionand we have not received any reply from the tyre company.

There is noexternal damage to the Tyre, it is an internal issue that is resulting in to bubble formation. You can check the Tyre externally there not a singlescratch which indicates that it has been impacted on road. If showroomauthority is not willing to take stand from customer end I will take therequired steps to get it done by Volkswagen Management. I am not bother aboutthe 4-5 k amount of the Tyre, the thing is the world class motor company isgiving such excuses to the customer. Let me know the further action plan.But I will make sure that this issue will reach to the higher authority. Eventhough I do not get the benefits but in future no one will receive suchtreatment. I am 8 months old VW user and I a more than satisfied with mymachine but the service part is totally unsatisfied.

We haveinspected the vehicle and it is clear that the tyre was damaged because ofexternal impact and not because of manufacturing defect.
Even thoughon your request we have tried to claim the tyre under warranty. As this wasexternal damage it is not covered under warranty, Hence it can not be replacedunder warranty.
