We bought a voltas 1.5 ton split ac on 17 april 2016 from nutan electronics, dilshad garden delhi and within 15 days the machine stopped cooling. We called the service centre. They refill the gas without examine the reason of leakage. After 30 days the machine stopped cooling again, we again called service centre. They again refill the gas without examine the reason of leakage. Very unfortunate that same thing happened on third time also they come and refill the gas. It was our only one year experience with voltas and how they complete successfully one year warranty period with three gas refills. The story doesn’t stop here, the machine stopped cooling again fourth time but now machine became one year old and hence out of warranty. At that time when temperature was too high, i was not having other option except calling service centre again. Voltas service people came and refill the gas fourth time, since machine was out of warranty they charged rs 3400 (Gas charge, visit charge, one component). This is too horrible to have such experience and how voltas dealer sold out a faulty machine and completed successfully the warranty period with repeated gas fillings. The machine still is not cooling and it is well understood that how much discomfort and pain we got since this faulty product sold out to us.
After continuous follow-up with voltas customer care, neither the faulty machine being replaced nor any action taken till date. Extremely disappointed with voltas and it was not expected that one day we have to write this complaint letter with respect to a product under my most admired tata group. This complaint is our last resort and we are not far away to approach consumer court if this issue is not satisfactorily resolved as soon as possible.
