Hi Team,

I have a long-term customer relationship with Voltas and I know the brand by its quality and service. However to my utter dismay the technical team doesn't carry proper skill sets. I am a Chartered Accountant and a lawyer by profession and I work with a one of the largest MNCs. I do not get time to follow up with technical consultants. In the end week of May, my AC stopped cooling effect. I have a small kid at home and it was scary to listen to such kind of noise. I immediately called your technical consultant. I could have choosen to call a local consultant from a nearby shop, however I trust your brand and skills, therefore called the Customer Care. Your consultant (Ravi) visited my home after couple of days and told us some technical errors of gas leakage and all and un-installed it and delivered it after repairing. They charged us Rs. 5100. The moment he went the same problem cropped up and we called the customer care where they said they will send a senior technical consultant. RP Singh from your technical dept visited us that but could not rectify the problem. Next time he sent another consultant but in vain.
The fourth consultant (Deepak) also visited recently, however couldn't diagnose the problem. I would like you to understand that we are suffering because of all this un-fruitful visits and if we cannot use an AC during the summers, then whats the use. The problem has not been rectified rather aggravated as now it doesn't have a cooling effect and it stops suddenly after making a loud noise. We asked our electrician and he is of the view that the AC is impacting the MCB and it might give a short circuit in case you operate it again and again. I would like you to answer me immediately and get the same rectified asap. I would not tolerate in case the situation becomes worse by giving a short circuit when I have a small kid at home.

    Hi we purchased tata voltas 1.5 ton ac in 2012. Now few days back its swing stopped working. I asked for repair from company. They send 2 guys those boys opened ac, checked it and said swing motor needs to be replaced. They said it will cost us 550 rp in addition to 400 rp company's charges. I agreed and 2 days later they brought swing motor that did not work on ac. And they gave me explanation that it does not belong to this ac. So this time they took original faulty swing motor of my ac, so that they can buy same one. Then today two guys came with swing motor which they fitted and were about to leave when i asked them to check it, it did not work at all. Then they opened ac and removed this so called new motor, when i saw it was old greesy motor which they claimed to be new. Then they said they will fit ac and bring new one, after struggle of 30 mins they could not assemble ac and left it opened and promised me that they will return in some time. But now it's 10 pm and they never came back. And i called their boss who works for voltas company i told him about situation and faulty old motor he hung up phone twice. When i called voltas on customer service no they did not give me any satisfactory response. And now in this hot day my mother who is an cancer and heart patient is suffering because of their negligence. Here i will be posting pics of the old greesy swing motor which they claimed to be original and new. And also i paid 550 rp for this old motor. Along with that i will post pic of the ac and in which condition they left our room and ac.

      We are from pink city, shop no.06, mahavir market, ostwal, boisar.
      Voltas a/c 1.5t-sac 185cya. Voucher no. Ord1730351. Dated: 8/8/2015

      This is to inform you we are really upset due to your dealer snehanjali in boisar. We have complained so many times about cooling of our ac. But still its not cooling. We are facing this problem since 4 months as due to this we are facing our business loses. As we are having our clothes ladies shop. All the customers are feeling irritated due to hot in our shop. Today i went to snehanjali & talked to the person he misbehaved with us. He told if you want good cooling then you will have to pay for it. Why should i pay for that? He started shouting on us? & at the time of purchasing we asked him that whether you are giving us outer of alumimium or copper. As we want copper only & he commited us that it is copper only 5 star. But today i came to know that it is aluminium. Plz try to make permanent customer. Sirf chipkane ka kaam mat kro. Kyunki paise ped pe nhi ugte. Now what to do wth that ac. As he has committed us wrong. He has lied to us. He also told tht ki ye hamara kaam nhi hai ki hum jaake dekhe. Ye apko kaam karwa ke lena hai. But if we could have beeen technicians then we do we have called up your technicians. The same thing has been happened with my father alsso. Plz try to solve it as soon as possible or else i will take some other actions. The name of voltas is very excellent in market. Thats why we took your companies ac. Due ti this people your voltas is going to suffer & ur name is spoiling. Hope you will solve it asap.

        Hello there, purchased a split ac in 2012 mid, after heavy persuasion from viveks chennai sales person that this voltas 1.5 ton split ac with aluminium coil cools faster, durable etc etc. Within 3 years, ac is broken down, and i am told that the coil is gone. (Gas leaks frequently). I am told now that i need to pay 11000 to replace the coil. I have 5 other acs in my house, purchased at same time, all of which are spic and span. Beats me, why would such an important part of the ac break down so quickly. And to replace at almost 50% cost of ac seems unfair
        Could you please help resolve? If it was not a durable coil why were we duped into buying it under claims of "good" in the first place?

          I am very constraint to express my deplorable situation regarding the faulty working of AC. It seems that Ac is having snag in it. The erratic working of the AC has created a lot of inconvenience. This infact represents a dismal picture regarding your organisation.

          Voltas needs no introduction. It enjoys an enviable position in electronics. Your organisation is on culmination but the supply of accessories doesn't go well with the reputation and goodwill you enjoy in the market. Hope You will comprehend with us. I hope you will not give a cause of inconvenience to your old and bonafide customer and try to rectify our grievances. Do the needful earlier the better.

              Voltas customer service - unresponsive & insensitive

              This complaint was lodged on 1st june'16. We had shifted recently and had also shifted our voltas ac 1.5 ton split ac (Bill attached). Ac was working fine in our old house. When we got it fitted in our new house it started working but after half an hour was not cooling.

              We contacted your customer care and lodged a complaint, your technician came to inspect and said that gas was finished in ac. He took another appointment for 5th june, came for filling of gas. To my utter disappointment, both the technicians seemed so clueless about the procedure, they kept doing trials and trying different ways to get the gas filled. They charged 2200/- and did not provide a receipt for the amount. After filling gas, ac seemed to cool for 5 min and again stopped. Ac is not cooling again, i think gas was not the problem at all. I have again lodged complaint with your customer care on 5th afternoon, waiting to hear from you. I am feeling duped in the entire process having paid for a problem which might not be a problem at all.

              I have been calling customer care repeatedly, total approximately 25-30 times with no one returning my calls. The franchisee appointed by voltas makes false promises of sending techinician and then switches off its mobile. (Unique services). I am cursing the day we decided to go in for a voltas ac vs others.

              I have got a local ac mechanic to check on ac and he cleared that compressor has problem, there was no problem of gas shortage in first place. So i have been duped in the entire process.

              Weather has been so harsh and ac not working is making it worse.

                We purchase desert cooler (Va-d70m) voltas air cooler from paras enterprises navyug market ghaziabad, from the day of purchase this product we are complaining about it efficiency of cooling air, we spend 13.5k rupees for buying this product and still my reason to purchase this product is not solve, we do many complaints in votas service centre but they always ignore the main problem that cooler is not give a cool air at the front of it, they says we check unit is working fine motor is working fine, let me explain one thing that the function of this cooler is blowing the cool air out of it, if it not send a cool air then how you guys say that the cooler is working fine.

                  Voltas is a fraud company and a scamster.It has stolen my money.

                  I purchased a Air Cooler from voltas.It was making a lot of sound so i registered a complaint on[protected] no.[protected] till now my problem has not been solved.
                  Here they try to show how much they care about a customer.But in reality i have written several mails never got any reply.
                  I daily call the service centre they keep me hold for almost 20 minutes than they tell me they are unable to contact the authorized person they will call me back.Never got a call back from the fraud company.

                  They are supposed to provide service only for four months of summer they can't even do that.

                  I used to be a supporter of Voltas till i experienced the worst service.Never in my life i am going to purchase any Voltas Product.This is the only reason their market share is decreasing.Not long before it is going to shut down.

                    I bought voltas split ac 1 tonne from ashoka trading sec 16 faridabad on 10 april'16.

                    On 2 june, cooling of my ac decreased tremendously and became minimal.. I contacted voltas customer care and raised the ticket #[protected].

                    Service guys inspected ac and mentioned that gas has finished and refilled the gas but the cooling issue remained as it is.

                    We again raised the complaint on 4 june'16- #[protected] and mr. Dheeraj's emplyoees as well as mr. Ravindra visited and examined ac several times. No resolution came out. They then mentioned that there is defect in ac and it will be replaced.

                    My ticket was closed without any resolution and all i get to hear from service centre is they have forwarded the request for replacement.

                    I have no information since 9 june'16 if my request is being processed or they are working on getting us the resolution or when would i get the replacement.

                    I am highly unsatisfied and disappointed with their service.

                    I have gone through lot of harrassment and inconvenience because of this poor service.

                    I want to get my ac replaced asap or my money refunded.

                      I purchased Voltas window AC 1 ton nearly 1 year ago. I logged a complaint to your customer care regarding E2 error displayed at AC pane. My complaint number is [protected] dated 30th May 2016.

                      Despite repeated calls to your customer care center we are unable to get any solutions. Its been more than 20 days now and no support has been extended to us.

                      I would like to inform you that I won’t hesitate in dragging Voltas to consumer forum if my problem is not solved with next 3 days of this mail.

                        Dear listener,

                        This is being the 1 month since my complain is registered with your company and till date non-of your dearest service man got a time to attend the same.

                        I have purchased the Voltas AC before 4 month and after the two month, it started throwing the water from both the unit [ inside and outside ]. Regarding to this problem the complaint has been registered to given toll free number and they have asked promised to get it resolved within 48 working hours. But till today that complain is not resolved.

                        I have another AC fro Diakin and I have registered complaint for the same and within 3rd of service man came to my house and resolved the issue. However Diakin is not made in India company. This Voltas is a TATA product and as per my knowledge its a Made in India, but this is really ashamed that our indian brand is losing his credit really not able to provide quality service to their customer.

                        I will never ask anyone to buy this TATA product. I hope this email should reach to higher authority at TATA

                          Dear sir,

                          1. This is with reference to my complaint no [protected] and [protected] and my concerns as highlighted in my earlier mails. I am not at all satisfied with your product for the reasons as amply brought to you in my earlier mails and also not meeting your promised service of saving power. Even today your website is hoisting that at the cost of one invertor ac run two normal air conditioners.

                          2. Since you are telling that air conditioner within 12 months warranty period are only replaced, after which only defective parts are replaced. My air conditioner may be buy back with suitable price ensuring justice to me and the spare parts may be cannibilised to other units requiring replacement. Alternatively the unit may be used at any of your office premises to experience the operational costs. Your office also needs air conditioners.

                          3. For having posed faith in voltas, you never intended to protect my interests. Finally i urge to buy back the product and the company offer price may be intimated to me for my concurrence.

                          4. Thanks for the bitter experience with voltas for choosing your product over other products available in the market and lessons learnt for posing my faith in your firm being the one of the renowned manufacture of air conditioner and looking for after sales service for your product.

                          5. At any pint of time you have never conceded to my requests nor was considerate enough to protect the interest of the customer. Donot you agree some times defective products might have been cleared the quality check? And you never bothered to consider this. You have always been sticking to crossing 12 months warranty period and never intended to look into other aspects and facts which shows you are solely trying to protect only company interests and he same is not expected.

                          6. One should remember that all terms and conditions are formulated and promulgated to upheld the welfare of every body.In the instant case also your warranty terms should have been formulated aiming to protect the interests of both the parties.

                          7. Alas you never interpreted these terms and conditions to safe guard my interest. You are the manufacturer of products and replace the product or restore optimal performance at company liability may not fetch huge losses. But it instill good faith amongst the consumers. By sticking to warranty mantra and doing injustice to me, your company is not going to be benefited immensely. On the other hand, if donot provide me support it would be betrayal of my faith posed in your firm.

                          8. If some thing is not in your reach or you are constrained to take some decision, the matter could have been referred to superiors with positive approach highlighting the concern of the customer. Where there is will there is way it is a common saying and well understood. I am not here to cause losses to you. I had proposed many options for which you did not concede nor have shown any positive response. You may require standby unit for cannibalization of spares to repair other systems or attend complaints.

                          9. Finally put forth following two options:-

                          (A) repair and enhance the performance of my air conditioner insitu by relocating the compressor unit and other services at company's risk and liability as the problem persisted since installation.

                          (B) buy back the unit at reasonable price to ensure justice to me.

                          Poor after sales service support and profit oriented approach safeguarding the interests of the company and not being considerate enough upheld justice to consumers and customer interests are not protected. Customer is not outsider but insider. Alas company has not been taking into consideration this fact and forgetting that the customers are the real brand ambassadors of their product. The customer service manager is not thinking out of the box and his statement is stick to the 12 months warranty mantra. There might be the cases wherein the products might have erroneously qualified in the quality check. This aspect they are not taking into consideration. The invertor AC is not economical view operational costs are much more than the normal air conditioner. Each their service comes with various apparatus undertakes the functional checks and make the customer happy with their braided and irrelevant information. Customers unaware of the intricacies of the technology rely their information and accept their notion and starts exploiting the equipment incurring huge losses for operation. Company is very profit oriented no one is found to be considerate enough to understand the concerns of the consumer and find a viable solution to the problem. I do not recommend to purchase the invertor AC as the compressor is continuous run compressor with variable speed and the set temp is not achieved due to any reasons keeps rotating at higher RPM causing more current consumption for sub optimal performance. I have been a victim of this product and requesting the company to make it alright at company's risk and cost or buy back the product. Very very poor performance of the product. Consumers pl have thorough knowledge of the system before resorting to purchase.

                            I hv purchased a split ac from Gaurav Sales Bijainagar Ajmer Rajasthan. After elapse of 15 days, ac is NT working properly.

                            Kindly takeup the matter on urgent basis.
                            Further it also be noted that after purchase of such ac 4-5 times complaint of water leakage from pipe. And every time dealer was reluctant in response. In Rajasthan the temperature is on peak and If ac was not works in this periods then true value of money will not received.

                              I registed complain for my voltas split ac twice with complain nos [protected], [protected] the technician visited first for which we paid rs. 500 and after the services a new problem started which was not before. Ice formation started in the outer unit and the technician visited and said ice formation cannot happen and after checking he went back but the problem is still the same. The technician who visit don't appear to be literate enough. Today a third complain i have registed having no [protected]... The service centre name is pranavi sales & services kanpur. Please look into this matter. Very poor performance.

                                Dear sir,

                                I have purchased a voltas 155cy/ey 1.2 ton - 5 star rated air split conditioner and since from 4th day of this a/c installation i am facing repeated gas leakage / low freon re-filling issue.

                                I have complained thrice to voltas customer support team for the same issue and they sent local technician (Don’t have voltas id card, seems to be third party vendor who don’t have any proper technical knowledge) every time who came and inspected/fixed it somehow by tightening the pipe connection bolt & refilling with little amount of freon. But after two / three days of re-filling, the issue is resurfacing. This ac is driving me crazy. This machine has been fixed more than 4 times in the last 1.5 months for this brand new product, which proves the inferior product quality and your service quality as well.

                                I have bought this because of my trust in voltas product quality which we so proudly boast of and also to save electricity consumption due to 5 star rated product. I feel that i have lost my hard earn money. One thing is for sure, i will never buy voltas again in my life nor suggest anybody.

                                I'm fed up with support provided by the company's third party contractors, let me start jotting down the problem i faced –

                                1. Cooling was zero immediately after 4 days of a/c installation, after complaining to voltas customer care - a technical guy (Was wearing lg official shirt) visited first at around 10am, checked the gas pressure (35 psi) and made a report of low gas issue and left. Then on the same day late in the evening other technical guy w/o any voltas id (Seems to be third party contract employee) has refilled the gas and measured the pressure (72 psi) and left.
                                2. Again immediately after 2 days of gas re-filling the same situation happened, no proper cooling effect from a/c only fan was running. After making complaint to voltas customer care – the same technical guy (Wearing lg shirt) visited to my place at morning time (11.30am) and checked the connection pipe/nut bolt etc and detected leakage at indoor and outdoor connection point and left, then on the same day late evening a new technician guy came (Not from direct voltas – no id card assigned) and tighten the bolt junction and refill with r-22 freon (Not sure which type of gas was re-filled) w/o completely vacuuming the air from compressor and left. Please note that technician has not carried pressure measurement equipment that day, simply refilled the gas and left. Every time technician insisting that don't registered complaint and given me his personal contact no. And insisting to call his personal no if any further issues occurs.
                                3. The issue again recurred after 4 days, i contacted the same technician and he admitted that the freon charging may be low as due to empty service cylinder. And assured that he will re-fill the gas again!! Don’t worry. But he keep on postponing the dates by saying – they don’t have gas in stock and meter currently etc. After two weeks when i told them i am going to complain this to voltas customer care then immediately that technical person tried to convinced me not to call voltas customer care, he will visit my place by day end and re-fill the gas. At late evening that technical guy visited my place and found gas pressure around 85 psi and fixed the gas pressure to 75 psi as per his technical knowledge. Which proves that there was no gas leakage any more but not felt any effective cooling even after necessary fixation done by technician.
                                4. The same issue persists again after 2 days of gas refilling, a/c is not cooling any more.
                                I am really disappointed with voltas which used to be a renowned company giving such a pathetic service and hiring third class technicians who don't have proper technical knowledge to solve a issue in a brand new product. I already have wasted my valuable time in this matter, and also voltas technician have done lots of research work on this brand new product, hence no more space left to allow voltas technician to do further r&d work. I am sorry for this! I am now demanding replacement of this split ac as the product is defective and is not repairable after several visits of voltas engineers, if voltas can't able to replace this faulty unit with a brand new unit then please pay me back my hard earned money.

Then again I call customer support they told your request has been canceled due to some technical error and they reopen my request.                                     It is very unfortunate to send this complaint mail regarding Air Conditioner to you in only two months of buying the appliance. I have bought the Voltas split A.C. (model no. 183 CY) from one of your authorized dealer (Hari T.V. Centre, Baraut-250611). Only after 1.5 months it stopped cooling with lots of water leakage from both inside and outside units. It proved to be a worst product as my other ac from LG is working fine from 2 years. I took the wrong decision for choosing the wrong product. Now come to your services, I called the customer care they said the engineer will visit in 24-48 hours but nobody visited so far (complain no. [protected]) even after a week. When I visited the service centre physically at my place (Baraut) they are asking for money to get the appliance serviced. While the product is in warranty, what is the meaning for the charges? Now you tell me how many more days you want me to wait before moving to the consumer court and M/o Consumer Affairs.

                                      We have purchased new voltas ac from reliance digital. The product has abnormal noise and after numerous complaints to voltas and reliance digital, both were not able to fix it. We are now demanding replacement of the split ac as the product is defective and is not reparable after numerous visits of voltas engineers and reliance digital engineers. It has been now 45 days for our continuous follow up with voltas and reliance but no body is ready to replace the ac. Voltas says that reliance digital has purchased our ac at very low prices and all the replacement work needs to be done will be undertaken by reliance.
                                      Sir, i ask you who will help us to get or defective voltas ac replaced.
                                      Please note : once the machine has also gone to voltas service centre and returned but still the problem is their. It has even gone to reliance res q service centre and the situation remains the same. Moreover our new machine has 5 years warranty.
                                      I am enclosing:
                                      1) purchase invoice copy of the machine
                                      2) photos of the machine with specification and batch no tag
                                      3) service slip of reliance res-q where in we clearly mentioned that we want replacement of our defective ac unit.

                                        I am sathish kumar rk and recently i bought voltas 182lyd 1.5 ton ac on 27.05.2016 from girias tambaram, chennai - 600 059. My mobile no is [protected] and email id is sats. [protected]@gmail.com. Ever since the installation was done (On 29.05.2016), the ac has not been giving cooling effect despite we keeping the temparature at 21 degree. Immediately we raised complaint with voltas customer care and after our repeated followups for a week, finally they sent one engineer after a week. The great engineer came and verified and told that this being a new model introduced by voltas would take time to cool and told that this ac is working fine. We have been using this ac for last 15 days and and have been unhappy customer of voltas ever since. This ac does not give the cooling effect even after continuous running of 5-6 hours. Such a worst product and worst customer, i never expected from voltas. I have another 1.5 ton ac from lg using since 2014 march and is working fine. I regret having chosen voltas and not chosen the lg. The reason why i chose voltas against the lg was, my lg ac did not copper whereas voltas has copper. Please dont go for voltas ac being a worst product, and giving worst customer service.
