In reference to the above complaint number, i want to bring to your notice that i purchase voltas 1.5 ton split ac on 27/4/13 and since the day i have purchased it, there is one or the other issue which i am facing with the ac.
First, i made a complaint that ac is not giving desired cooling even after running for hours. The company engineer visited and gave us the stupid reason that the house is not air-tight (Windows are there in house) which leads to the less cooling effect.
Thereafter again complaint was made and engineer declared that the gas in the ac is exhausted and a sum of rs. 2000 was paid on account of gas re-filling. Even after this, the desired cooling was not attained from the ac.
Again a complaint was made and this time the engineer told that the company fitted condenser is made of aluminium and its not successful. Hence, it needs to be changed to a copper condenser. The condenser was changed on 4/8/15 and aa sum of rs 3300 was paid by me.
Thereafter all of a sudden in may 16, the outer unit started making lot of noise. Again a complaint was made and this time, the engineers who visited told us that the condenser which was replaced was not fit for this model and also that there is a problem with the compressor.
Ultimately, the outer unit was carried to the workshop on 31.05.16 and reinstalled on 3.6.16. It was stated that the compressor was changed. But as soon as the ac was switched on, the same noise started coming again. This time, the technician tightened the outer unit with the bracket and the noise vanished. Since the noise vanished just after tightening a few screws, it leads me to a suspicion if my previous compressor was actually faulty and more so if the compressor was actually changed as it was being claimed by the technician.
When asked about the unique part number / code for the compressor (That in my opinion should be present and should be unique for every smallest part), the technician failed to provide me the same and also didn't mention in the service report.
Instead he demanded rs. 2350 on account of gas refilling which are not justified as the compressor is in 5 years warranty and any repair in the compressor will lead to the gas re-filling. Hence this should also be a part of the warranty.
Also, i am really feeling that i will end up paying equal or more the amount of the ac if this scenario continues. I am repenting the decision to purchase voltas product and vow never to even consider buying any voltas product in future.
You are requested to look into the matter else i will be forced to take the matter to the consumer court.
