Sub: - Air Conditioner Split. Supplied by Voltas .
Dear Sir/ Madam ,

I purchased 1.5 AC Spilt Platina (Vertis) from your sub distributor NR Enterprises Residency Road Jammu on 08.04.2010. The 1.5 AC Spilt Platina (Vertis) has,
1. Sr No Unit:- 4551139P10C005348.
2. Compressor Sr No :- 45511156P10C003728.


On 23.06.2010, the above AC stop functioning. I contacted the seller shop, and they advised me to approach Toll free No [protected] and get the complaint registered. Accordingly I got my complaint registered with above quoted Tool Free telephone. The complaint No given was 10JU 2200077 on 22nd / 23rd June 2010.

Me Sonnu from Jammu appeared at my residence after two days and told that in PCB some I/C has fused, and promised that after day or so, the company will replace the PCB with new one as the AC has hardly served only about two months. He came and installed the PCB , immediately after installing PCB again some I/C was blown out , resulting in heating of the AC. I again reported the Toll free No and narrated the inefficiency of the so called mechanic. Again after a day or so Mr Kishore another novice appeared in my house to set AC . He did the same and nothing happen which would have reduced our miseries.

Both the so called mechanic, neither have knowledge of circuit nor they know the job, as it is evident that the new AC which stopped functioning on 22nd June 2010 is still faulty.

The above story is enough to prove that some learners were deputed to experiment with my hard earned money.

It is requested that
1. My AC be replaced , if the so called mechanics are not competent to find out the fault.
2. Please depute a fact finding executive to find out why the novice are being deployed for attending newly purchases AC and save the reputation of the firm.

You will appreciate that the AC is not ceremonial in summer . There is no compensation for the miseries we are suffering with your so irresponsible trouble soother staff. I feel that they are bent upon to make us uncomfortable and spoil the name of the company which company took years to attain this glory.

This is not with me only but the same story was told to me by the proprietor of Suri Nursing Home Canal Road Jammu who purchased two such AC’s in this summer .
Either there is a manufacturing defect in these designs or your so called mechanics have not been fully acquainted with this new AC, circuits..

In case you are also like to defend the so called mechanics , then I have no alternative left with me but to approach Media, JAGO GRAHAK JAGO, as well as Hon’ble Consumer court/ full fledged Hon’ble court for deceiving consumer under Guaranteed / warrantee clause. We will also sue the company for defrauding the consumer specially ladies by supplying rejected pieces of AC. Beside this the hardship we are facing also need compensation worth Rs 10000.00 per day of our miseries , resulted due defective piece AC supplied to after getting full payment .
This will become notice for approaching Hon’ble Court .

Hoping you will appreciate the gravity of the problem and come forward to save the reputation of your company.

    I HAD BOUGHT A VOLTAS SPLIT AC 5 YEARS AGO
    AFTER 3-4 MONTHS WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL OF THE AC
    SO WE GAVE THE REMOTE CONTROL TO THE AUTHORISED DEALER(NAIK REFRIGERATION)
    BUT ITS BEEN 5 YEARS WE HAVENT RCVD THE REMOTE YET.
    IT FEELS SO BAD THAT WE SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON A AC AND THERE IS REMOTE TO OPERATE IT.

    We have purchased two nos split ac vertis 1.5 ton hot and cold from M/s NR Enterprises Jammu in the month of May 2010.The remotes provided by the dealer are in old and used condition and are not working. Dealer is not responding to our requests.

      I bought an AC 2 ton split from Voltas in May 2006. The compressor is having warranty for 5 years and it has been ceased. Complaint was lodged at toll free no. on 22.06.10 no. 10JU2200107 and the reminder given on 24.06.10. a person came from M/s Lahar Enterprises, 151, IA, Phase 2, Chandigarh and told that compressor will be replaced charged 300.00 as visiting charges. No communication or confirmation of replacement till 02.07.10. a call received and told that today it will be replaced and we should be ready with 2300.00 for gas filling, 500.00 for handling charges and 200.00 for transportation to which I had no option but to admit. When came for replacement there was an invoice in which transportation was 300.00 instead of 200.00 told. no justification they could gave. So, in my opinion the charges are too high and it would demoralise the customers to go for TATA products. The grace and spirit of free replacement is not seen. The labour and gas filling charges of other reputed service providers are just 2000.00, whereas we had to pay 3400.00 to the official service centre which is merely at the distance of 3 km.

        I Purchased a Voltas Ac and requested to Voltas customer care to install the AC in my home on 25th June2010.The request/complaint number is 10JU2503217 in Voltas customer care. As per their timeline, they promised me to install the AC in 24 hours but today is 1st July 2010 and no body from Voltas is giving attention on this. Daily i am taking the follow up from Voltas customer care and they are promising me to install the AC today. Now i am totally fed up with the service of Voltas AC and need someone help. My total money, which i spent on purchasing AC is blocked. Now i cann't buy another AC and also this Voltas AC is occuping a huge space in my house.

        This is BharathThati Purchase Voltas 1.5 ton Split A/C(5 Star) from Future Group Hyderabad on 16/05/2011 and they deliver the A/c and inform us that a We have login in a request for customer care voltas they come to your door step to instal your A/C with in 24 hours.but we have not got any respone and i feel this is the worst service providing by Voltas.So, kindly look into the matter and do the needful.ASAP.My Contact No:[protected].

          Sir,

          I purchased a Voltas Window 1 Ton Vertis Plus Ac from KBM Electronics, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-92 on Dt.23/5/2010.I have to submit that the AC is not giving sufficient cooling ,& there are leakage in water tanker of AC as well as Compressor starts after half hour of Air Conditioner. I have raised a complaint No.10JU104525 against problem, but I have not received any response till now inspite of many reminders to your company. This problem exist from first day of installation of AC.I regularly remind about this problem since 1-2 weeks but problem is not solved till date

          Whenever, I am calling on Helpline number of Voltas they assure me that technician would reached at your service tomorrow but 10 days have been left problem is not solved at all.

          TATA Voltas Window AC — NON COOLING OF AC

          Sir,

          I have purchased a Voltas Window 1 Ton Vertis Plus Ac from KBM Electronics, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-92 vide Bill No.02279/10-11 Dt.23/5/2010.I have to submit that the Ac is not giving sufficient cooling , I have raised a complaint No.10JU104525 against problem, but I have not received any response till now in spite of many reminders to your company. This problem exist from first day of installation of AC.I regularly remind about this problem since 1-2 weeks but problem is not solved till date.

              I have given the complaint to the voltas company in their complaint no. [protected] on 5/6/2010 regarding non-functioning of ac and defect in the display box vide comp. no.10JU0503997. on 10/6/2010 tecnicians of shriram service centere delhi came to my resi. & remove the display & other accesories with assurance to remove the defect from the display within 24hr but till date since 5/6/2010 neither the defect from the display has been removed nor the display and the other acc. has been re-installed despite repeated comp. by me almost daily to your complaint centre . it appears that technicians of shri ram centre has commited theft of display & other acc. I am facing great hardship due to removal of display & non installation display & other acc in such hot & humid condition in case the fron the ac has not been removed within 24hr in that event I shall have left with no option but to lodge the criminal comp. against voltas in concerned police station & to file the comp. in consumer court against voltas

                I HAD BROUGHT BRAND NEW A.C. FROM VOLTAS 1.5 TONNS VERTIS PLUS. SINCE THE INSTALLATION ON DT. 18.5.2010, IT IS GIVING LEAKAGE PROBLEMS. AFTER COMPLAINING, CO. ATTENDED IT 5 DAYS AFTER COMPLAIN ( EVEN IT IS BRAND NEW AC). THEY TOLD TO REPLACE DRAIN TRAY WHICH WAS DAMAGED. AFTER NO. OF FOLLOWUPS AT HIGHEST END TILL REGIONAL OFFICE AT MUMBAI, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WILL BE ARRANGED BY 12/07/2010 !!!

                SUCH A TERRIABLE EXPERIENCE AS IT TAKES CO. TO REPLACE PLASTIC PART OF BRAND NEW MODEL OF VOLTAS AC ROUND 02 MONTHS !!! MY BRAND NEW HOUSE PAINT IS DAMAGED DUE TO LEAKAGES . NO REPLY FROM VOLTAS.

                I SUGGEST NOT TO BUY ANY AC OF VOLTAS, DUE TO SUCH TERRIBLE AFTER SALES SERVICE.

                Voltas Ltd — Non availability of Person for Demo for newly purchased AC

                I am Jayesh Nagda. My Cell No. is [protected]. I have purchase Volts AC on 12/10/10 and it was installed on 13/10/10. I was promised that within 24 hours i.e. 14/10/10, person will come for demo. However till 15/10/10 12.45 pm, no body has come. On contacting customercare, Ms. Gitanjali (Customer Care Executive) and Ms. Nisha (Customer Care Senior Executive) responded very rudely.

                  We purchased two 2 Tons Volta AC s(Vertis Plus S)and found that one of the Inner Unit is not working. We made a complaint to Volta customer Care vide complaint No. 10JU1901990. Its more than a week but their Service franchise M/S Suri Air Con, Dwarka, New Delhi have not been bothering to rectify the defect. As we are to inaugurate our new showroom, we have been requesting their said franchise to expedite the work but their reply is that they had got so many other complaints also and they are not working on one complaint only. This is the behavior of their franchise which is not desirable. The very reputation of Voltas is being spoiled by such dealers. I am literally repenting by purchasing ACs of Voltas as its very backward in its after sale service. The complaints which are supposed to be attended within twenty-four hours are being attended in twenty-four days. Their Service Dealer’s behavior is so rude that the customer thinks twice before talking to them. Even Volta company never give any attention to the feedback they receive thru their website as I have written my comments twice on their website but without any response from the company. Very bad state of affair.

                  my complain is split a/c high wall is not cooling & not gas in a/c pls. help me.
                  Voltas has quite a pathetic after sales service.their franchisees are more bothered to increase their sales of competitive brands and they take your ac from your home to return it after a week after they have tampered with it.The company does nothing more than pacifying the customer and getting it reinstalled .I went up to their office and met up with the service personnel and complained to them but in vain.So ,I learnt a very expensive lesson,but I want to warn everyone from buying this brand.Please stay away from it.Voltas AC is a blot on the trust that the TATA group enjoys in every other business of theirs.
                  Please call me and contact me if you want first hand experience and would want a little bit of advice on how to select an AC.

                  I have bought a new 5 star Tata Voltas, the service after sale is reduntant service. No one response timely, i had been complaining every week with Complaint Number: 11Ap1300203 but no one turn up. And its performance is worst, it throws the chillness of 20*C Temp at 17*C Temp. Completely disappointed with the service. I would suggest you to prefer some other brand which values their customer.

                      1. That I purchased Voltas 0.75 Split A.C on 10.04.2010 from Sagar Electronic s Muthi Jammu (Dealer)

                      2. That the above said AC purchased by me did not functioning properly, as such I approached the dealer on 13.04.2010, who advised me to lodge a toll free complaint on Voltas service. I lodged several complaints from that day some of the numbers are as: 10AP1004686, 10MY2801934, 10JU2104698 and etc.

                      3. That after the period fof 3 days instead of repairs the service Engg. Deputed by service centre MS Coolex Refrigeration’s Talab Tilloo Jammu, Service Engg. Says that there is minor problem and he will rectify it but not rectified and he left from home and says I will come tomorrow. I think in my opinion he did understand what is the problem in it, I narrate the whole story to dealer and at the time dealer make phone call to I./c Service Centre why you did not rectify the problem, Service Centre I/c says tomarrow he will send a Sr. Tech. and rectify the problem but all is in vain till date.

                      4. I again approached the dealer after 3 days requested them to re tify the problem or replace the unit, dealer ensured me that he do something, he again call Service Centre on phone fro rectification of the fault, one same day Service Engg. Attended the cal and said AC has the gas leakage and are unable to repair it as the Head Service Engg. Was not available on that day. After two days Head Service Engg checked and says there is no gas problem and left.

                      5. That I had visited the dealer at 30 times also he registered the complaint on toll free No. for getting the AC repaired by till date Co./Service Centre is unable to get the AC repaired or was not given any replacement of A. C. by company / dealer.

                      6. In the meantime my elder brother met a serious road accident he need cooling for his health as advised by the Doctor, at present he is on bed rest, if any thing happen to him due heat Co. is sole responsible for that.

                      7. On 21st of June 2010 I again visited to dealer he again registered call on toll free No. and also narrate the whole story Mr. Vijay Sharma Branch Office Chandigarh on phone and also distribute but all in vain.

                      Now please take the action against irresponsible person of Voltas Service Division.

                      Its really very bad for leading A.C company like Voltas, Actually i got the same problem for my A.c also, but no action was taken by these company service persons.So i suggest first you please arrange your own technician for the issues and now i suggest Voltas company please come with there new Staff for whole Jammu, if not possible please close there whole offices of voltas from here that will be good benfit to Voltas Company, as these irresponsible Bosses and Engineers make the image of Voltas like a beggar only with one Coin.

                      I am really thankful to you, as it reminds me my problem and i am able to committee for this issue as i was already suffered by these Voltas Gentle mans.
                      i have purchase the voltas sprit ac 2 ton capacity at girias investment pvt ltd purchase date is 04/04/2010 my bill no is 26951 in the sprit ac is more prpblem i have comlplient at girias ( chennai) annanagar 4/9/2010 & 06/09/2010 & 08/09/2010 there is no responseable what are you going to do my complient sent me the reply

                        I had purchased a VOLTAS A/C 2 years back from an Electronics Store in Laxmi Nagar. The A/C was working fine for 2 years , and then it started giving problems of non cooling intermittently. I called up the VOLTAS Service Call Center and a representative from Raj Air Conditioning Company, S-25, Shalimar Garden Extn - 1, Ghaziabad ( U.P ) came and he checked the A/C and said that thermostat is not functioning plus compressor is also functioning , so i have to take the A/C to the workshop and the estimated expediture would be Rs 3100 and it would be repaired in 1 day. 1 day got over, and then we started calling the Service Center again , then kept on saying it will be delivered in 2 hrs and likewise , 2 days passed . Then on further intensive calling and arguments with the Owner of Raj Air conditioning , he returned back the A/C and charged Rs 2800 for repairing . When we switched on the A/C , it was in the same condition , as it was given for repair . Same Problem of Intermittent Cooling . This is the customer service Voltas is providing , JUST FOOLING CUSTOMERS.....CHARGING MONEY and NOT DOING ANYTHING ......THIS IS TOTAL FRAUD . SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE AGAINST IT ..

                        I am now left with no option . Outside Temperature is 46 Celsius , have paid money for repair for A/C , but its still non functional . WHAT I CAN DO AS A CUSTOMER ? PLEASE HELP....

                          Dear Mr. Ishaat Hussain & Mr. A Soni

                          I bought a VOLTAS Window AC yesterday (22.06.2010) from M/S Anand Electroniks, Kalkaji, New Delhi, who is an authorized dealer for Voltas products. The model in 1.5 Ton Voltas Vertis Platina (3 star rating).

                          But I was shocked to find that after completing all the installation works, the AC is not working. The fan which is supposed to blow the cool air is not working at all.

                          After trusting many of my friends and colleagues, I chose to buy Voltas product. But the product quality is not at all good. First time not working. This is really disgusting. I do not know how the products are manufactured at your manufacturing plant. This is the worst investment of my life that I have ever done. Moreover, your service engineer has also not attended inspite of my case being taken on the top most priority.

                          Please check your product quality first & provide me with an OK AC. I hope you understand the term "OK".

                            i have voltas vertis plus g 1.5 ton split ac..i called the customer care for the demo,but the executive that came for demo didn't know anything about that product and even they didn't told anything about filters because filters also needs to be cleaned now for effective cooling. they told that they don't have adequate training for that ,and after that they went.after that i have called customer care two times for demo service..but no one came.so i want you to send the executive that knows everything about this vertis plus g model and can give demo to the earliest,failing which i have to move to the consumer court.

                              I am from Chennai. My Voltas Split AC remote and sensor had been taken to Voltas service center in Chennai Chetpet on 20th April 2010 by Voltas so called Engineer informing that it will be returned back within 3 days. Till today (17th June 2010) I have not got it back. I must have made a minimum of 150 calls to the service center for getting it back. When ever I call someone will pick and provide different answers like it will be sent soon, engineer is on the way with remote etc etc. The engineer has not reached yet. I think he is coming by walk from Antartica to give the remote to me. The so called Manager in that office one Mr. Prashant will never picks up phone. Once when I checked the route to visit the Voltas Service center, the person who attended the phone did not provide stating that even if you come you will not get it then why should you come?? This is the worst service experiance in my life. So pathetic, Lethargic and irresponsible. My baby girl who is 3 months old has got fever since we could not adjust the AC temperature or set timer. This sort of service level will spoil the reputation of the Voltas. I will never ever suggest anyone to buy this product due to this. Voltas should keep up their service level upto the customers expectation and suggest not to outsource it to any 3rd parties who doesnt have capability. I was wondering how long it will take to get my AC repaired if I face a problem in compressor or so (An year???). I do not know whom to contact and what to do to escalate this to some senior officials in Voltas. The Chennai Voltas Service Center(Chetpet) number is[protected].                               I had bought a voltas split air conditioner. Something went wrong to its remote. We had called a mechanic from your authorised service center , they told us either you get the remote changed or get it repaired. As per his information the new remote was readily available and repairing of the old one was going to take time.So we opted for the new remote. But its a sorry state of affair that its been more than 15 days we havnt got our new remort. After making so many so calls and visting to your servicr center , the people have turned deaf to our complain, infact they are so rude.
                              May be you can understand by doing so your are getting a bad name to your brand , as I have never experienced such kind of inefficient after sales services with any other brand before. I hope you look into this matter and take some stern actions . I thought of complaining to the consumer forum but then I thought may be you are also unaware of the bad aftersales services at your authorised service centers.

                                I here by state that I am Mohit Jindal and I had bought Vertis plus window AC (1.5 Tonne) of Voltas Company From M/S.GOYAL RADIOS,Sangrur City last year in the month of June,2009 on my name. The AC has worked well for one year. This year the AC is not working properly and I am facing so many problems due to this. Moreover the remote and touch screen buttons of the AC are not working well. I have approached to the Company a number of times but they did not give me any response.10MY2604813 is my complaint number.Now I am approaching to you for the same problem that I am facing from last three months.                                     WE HAD PURCHASED A COLD AND HOT WATER DISPENSER FROM GALA & SONS; MALAD OF THE BRAND VOLTAS.

                                    NOW THE DISPENSER MECHANISM OF THE MACHINE HAS BROKEN.

                                    THE TECHNICIAN FROM THE COMPANY TOOK AWAY THE MECHANISM STATING THAT HE WILL REPLACE THE MECHANISM WITHIN 3 WORKING DAYS; HOWEVER IT HAS BEEN 15 DAYS NOW AND WE HAVE MADE ALMOST 3 CALLS EVERY DAY TO THE CONSUMER CONTACT NUMBER[protected].

                                      Sir,
                                      I have purchased two no. Voltas Vertis Premium Split Type ACs, 1no. 1.5 tons & 1 no. 1.00 ton from M/S Vedoms, Dharampeth, Nagpur on 18.06.2009.
                                      On 1.06.2010, the MCB to which the 1.5 tons AC is connected, started getting tripped within 10 ~ 15 minutes of switching ‘on’ the AC. It was functioning satisfactorily over the past one year. The Sr No of the I/D is 4551075P09E005531 & that of O/D is 4511071P09D005780.
                                      I lodged a complaint with M/S Vedoms on 2.06.10. The voltas service man Mr. Gowardhan visited on 4.06.10 (w/o carrying a report book). He measured the current consumption which was 8.5A for first 5 minutes, started rising thereafter for next 5 ~ 7 minutes up to 12.5A causing the MCB to trip. Mr. Gowardhan inspected the MCB & found it to be of 10A rating. He advised me to replace the MCB with the one with 16A or 20A rating, upon which I told him that the normal current consumption is 8.5A & the MCB (Seimens make) has functioned with no problems and that he should investigate the root cause of rising of current after 5 minutes and also that replacing the MCB with higher rating will create the scope for current to rise beyond 12.5A resulting into damage of some part. However, as insisted by him, I replaced the 10A MCB with a 20A MCB on 6.06.10.. The AC functioned for 15 minutes & thereafter the cooling stopped. The BLOWER, TURBO & FAN were operating.
                                      I, again lodged a complaint on 7.06.10 (Complaint no. 10JU0700157 Dt 7.06.10). Mr. Pankaj Jadhav & Mr. Nilesh visited on 8.06.10. They inspected the I/D & O/D & concluded that the cooling is not taking place because the FAN UNIT of the O/D has failed . Accordingly they prepared a report & told me that it will take at least 4 ~ 5 days for the parts to arrive & repairs to take place.
                                      I feel that when the nature of complaint is reported, the service men should come prepared along with the spares & close the call in first visit. Whereas the Voltas service men come without any equipment, just inspect & prepare reports, send them to the company, wait for 3~4 days for the company response & visit again with the parts. It’s very inconvenient for us to postpone our work & wait for the servicemen on 3~4 occasions. The local service stations should have sufficient stock of spares so that the job can be finished in one visit.
                                      I should also get an extension in the warranty period for a no. of days from dt. of lodging the complaint by me & dt of closing the complaint by Voltas.

                                        This is in reference to my complaint number 10JU0404215. My Air conditioner(Voltas) compressor's fan blade was broken. When I raised a complaint, I was asked to pay Rs.450 as an inspection charge for a person to visit my place where the AC is 2 months old and still under the warrenty period. Very bad service....Got a technician to visit my place after 3 days of raising this complaint and says it will still take 1 week get the part replaced....Very pathetic service!!!
