I purchased a WD hard disk (S/N No. WX42A51FNDCF) on Amazon.in on 08/10/2021 for Rs.4589.10. The drive seemed to be working fine but the extended test in the WD drive utility and the dashboard apps got stuck at 90% and it stays there indefinitely. I have tried chatting with them and emailing them for the last couple months but they don't seem to take it seriously. They reply to me once every couple days and suggest me to repeat the same tasks to troubleshoot the drive and they never work. They asked me to create a Return Merchandise Authentication (RMA) to replace the drive but the page says that I may get a used drive instead of a new one. I think that this is totally unfair since my drive my brand new and I haven't even used it yet. Please help me in getting a refund (no problem in returning the product to them) so that I can purchase it from a more trustworthy company.

      Received a brand new 2 TB Western Digital hard drive from the Western digital store on 9/8/21. Failed on 10/13/21, after 33 days o[censored]se. Was forced to pay for shipping and sent it back under RMA. has been in their hands almost a month and no sign of a replacement. Was lied to in a chat with customer support. They claimed the drive would be shipped in 2 business days and it has not been shipped.

      Western Digital sent me a 5400 rpm drive as a replacement for the 7200 rpm drive that failed. I notified customer service and they claim they will send me the correct drive version. So it will either never happen or maybe a correct replacement will arrive in several months if I'm lucky.

          I sent my two My Cloud PR 4100 for warrantee replacement because the machines stop downloading apps on the machines. One Machine serial number WNAQ29480072 RMA: 88587317 and the other serial number WNAQ29330003 RMA: 88608180. Western has had one machine since the 1st week in July of 2021 and the other August of 2021. The reps are not knowledgeable and they say nothing. I would like to have the machines replaced or given a refund because the support department are not honest players.

            I am very much impressed with WD products while receiving the feedback's from friends and service from the company side. But my side facing major issues while using the best branded product o f WD. I don't no how, why i am facing these types of abnormalities using a such good product. During the data transfer with my PC it paused many times, but the data transferred after some time or bunch of time. The last time it was paused during the data transfer and automatically ejected from my PC. So i am trying with the another system by using my friend laptops and other PCs, but it was not detected and i lost my data too. So i came to know about the customer complaint portal and the feedback's regarding the action against the complaint. So i raise the complaint and hope to get my backup data and the issue also sort it out. My Device serial number is SR:WX71A98AAS0N.

                I had an issue with my WD Element 1.5TB portable hard disk to which I have handed over the faulty disk to the collection center on 17th of September 2021.
                They provided me with the RMA number- [protected] and informed me that the replacement disk will be delivered within 10 days.
                The status of my RMA still has not been updated and still shown as processing.
                When ever I communicate with Support Team they assure the issue to be resolved within 2-3 days.
                The same reply has been provided to me more than 4 times till now.
                But still there is no updates regarding my RMA.

                  I have a MyCloud Home defected and return twice and returned has reused!
                  And had to pay to return it!!
                  European Union Comsumer Defense will know about this.
                  DONT BUY!!!

                        Hard disk name- WD My Passport

                        The above mentioned hard disk get corrupt and unable to locate in laptop.
                        Kindly provide assistance and recover my hard disk.
                        It is also in warranty period as same was purchased in NOV- 2020.
                        Western Digital customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                        No any help received yet kindly update.
                        Either send someone to repair or else send a new WD hard disk as it is within warranty period.

                                    I had purchased a brand new SSD 480GB from amazon.in
                                    It stopped working within a couple of days. It stopped detecting in system.
                                    I raised a replacement request under warranty.
                                    WD is refusing to replace citing that it's damaged.
                                    I have used the exactly same packaging in which I had received the product to send it to their Bangalore service center.
                                    So, there is no question of not packaging well.
                                    Please provide replacement under WARRANTY.

                                      I have a 2tb external harddrive

                                      Yesterday I copying my files from my pc.between copying file system is shown" copying error". I click try again button. Then system will getting hang.after plug out my harddrive the system is coming to normal

                                      Again I plugin my harddrive in my system drive is detected but not showing the storage details of my harddrive.if I try to getting the properties system will hang .

                                      Try to format

                                      I can't format." Even format dialogue box is not appeared while I was clik format button" .when plugged out my harddrive . The format dialogue box is appear

                                      Run "chkdsk"

                                      Then I will going to CMD type CHKDSK G: /r /f and hit enter.The curser only bling in on the next line. After 15 minutes there is no any other action is perform in CMD. So unplug my harddrive "The volume is not open to direct access."showing theses message

                                      Run "chkntfs"

                                      Then I try to CHKNTFS G: command and hit enter.The curser only bling in on the next line. After unplug my harddrive" Cannot query state of drive G:" is shown

                                      Open disk management for change drive letter and format my drive

                                      Then I try to change drive letter.So I going to the disk management but it's loading... Loading...loading...

                                      But it's not show any disk details. After unplug my harddrive it will shown the internal harddrive details

                                      Try to error check

                                      Click properties the properties window is not shown when unplug my harddrive the properties will show used space 0 .free space 0 . Total 0 .

                                      And plugin my harddrive and tools error check column and click check button the system is going to unresponsive state after unplug my drive " The disk check could not be performed because windows can't access the disk.

                                      Theard party softwares

                                      Then I try an theaed party software like AOMEI partion assistant, Diskinternals Partion recovery software but no use the harddrive was not respond to any action

                                      I google it" the is some malware or bad

                                      Batch sector attacked to my harddrive.

                                      Please help me if any other possible ways to get back my harddrive.
