I bought the hdd on 19.9.2020 and from the day my drive is making severe noise while writing and it's extremely slow in writing. I was complained this to the retail store where i bought that and they told that might not be a complaint and now it's increasing noise and getting slow day by day. I stored lots of data to it. I don't need to lose that, but i need to replace the drive, because that showing the complaint from the first day. I hope you will take immediate action on this.in hope...

    Whenever i connect my hard disk with my laptop it does not show any icon or any think but the internel light in the disk is on when connecting so i thought may its my laptop problem then i connect it to my friend's laptop and then again same problem occurs.

          I purchased this 2tb hard drive in 2019 and it is now working. I generate RMA NO 88333897 for warranty but service center not accept my drive. They told me that this drive is not wd so we can't accept this drive.

              I bought "HDD 1000GB-WD"
              Serial no. WCC6Y4DVA7NF on[protected].
              This disk is in warranty .
              Today[protected] when I came to know that my hard disk is not working properly
              than I did phonecall to WD customer care no. Thay give me RMA no. 88305341
              And told me to go to their replacement centre and submit their disk, I asked them twice weather the replacement centre in Nehru place is open or not, they said that it is open . When I went to Nehru Place the centre was closed and when I call them back they did not reply me properly
              They did not even send the proper mail with file that they are talking about .

              I request you to help me in this, and as I am a teacher my classes are totally going on computer but to crashed hard disk i am facing difficulty .
              So please replace my disk fast and suggest me the proper and easy to do so.

                  I'm buying wd purple harddisk... But within two months the working abilities are stopped unfortunately.. The recording capacity was totally disabled...                       When we connect this hard disk to our system then its not working or not redeable by system...
                      It sound beep but nothing show in system...
                      Only show blank screen and then we eject this hard disk and then try to another system but same thing will happen..

                          In the last 4 years i've had 4 western digital defective hard drives, latest being only months old / blue 1tb. They offered an upgraded h/d as a peace offering but never delivered / never kept their promise. I need dependable units anyways, i have some seagate h/d's that are 10+ years old & still function perfectly. On all my future builds, seagate will be my choice to use.

                          Note # WD was contacted prior to this complaint & offered me a upgraded H/D to me but never sent one. Since this post W/D made zero contact with me, ever again & suspect they won't. Besides having defects, when buying a product the treatment & service you receive afterwords speaks volumes. You may want to consider other H/D manufacturers before deciding to buy a W/D in the future?

                            Hi team, i got a hard disk in amazon and within warranty period it was not working and raised for replacement. Received a replacement through courier and the replacement hard disk was also not in working condition. Iam totally disappointed and how can i except the other replacement hard disk also will be in good condition.. Kindly provide me a new hard disk with good working condition and don't provide the recertified or refurbished hard disk..

                              Actually, western digital provided three ways to get replacement against defective hard drives to its customers.
                              1. Drop off location that means the customer can put their drives on the wd service centre and wd send the replacement at the customer's address.
                              2. Otc centre that means the customer can deposit the drive and can get replacement hand to hand.
                              3. Ship the drive at wd service centre bangalore.

                              Problem is that why wd service centre flextronics technology pvt. Ltd. Doesn't provide drives good drives stocks to the other wd service centers. By which customer can get replacement on time and can do their work.

No pc is able to recognise it after that problem. We are unable to retrieve the data, request to please help or help in replacement of the same.                                     Wd is said to be one of the most reputed brand in hard drives but when it comes to customer services, a big no! Especially the service center in chandigarh.
                                    First of all the address provided by wd is not easy to find as no signboards or wd sign/logos been put (Refer photographs attached), instead its a clear service centre of other mobile brands, like nokia, lenovo and etc. One has to go and ask people around for wd care as there are no signs of it. Even the name of service centre provided was different from what wd has provided us.

                                    Secondly, the service centre is least bothered with wd customers and been so rude, that they did find problems internally with my product but very aggressively refused to replace the product by giving such unexpected response, referring to a slight (Less then a size of an aunt or mosquito) tamper or mark on one of the sticker which i never even noticed as it was too small to care about by any professional person using a product. Even i doubt it has been put by them only while my drive was inside with them for checking. They were too rude to accept and said go talk to wd if they say we will replace. And i ended up submitting to them for sending the drive to bangalore branch of wd.

                                    They wasted my time for illogical reasons, been so rude and i have to now wait for my drive and its gonna effect my work too. I request you to kindly strongly take action on them and i need a solid reason for the humiliation caused to me else i am taking this to the court with my lawyer.

                                      I am having 1tb hard disk which is in my camera setup and is not working, not even showing in the system (Monitor). No damages done to hard disc or any part of the system from my side. It is having warranty of 3 years and is in the warranty period. As the system has been purchased last year. The system has no use without the hard disc as no recordings are saved. So we're stuck in this situation so it's a humble request to you to change the hard disk by providing us the new one as soon as possible.

                                        Recently i had purchased a new 2tb wd external hard disk which all within few months had come up with a problem that it had stopped reading my data stored in it. So i had to take hhd to service center and from there i was informed that data your hard disk has been corrupted and you cannot use this hard disk any further if you want to retrieve data it can be retrieved but it is chargeable so i had to pay around 50, 000 rupees in order to receive that data which was in the old hard disk now i have been informed that this hard disk after retrieving data will be of no use so in order to collect the data i had to purchase one more hard disk from an online site it was again found that after a few months later after data retrieval very same problem was seen in the new hhd that i had purchased. So i just want to know who is responsible this my data loss and my hard disk is not working as well my only concern is is if i don't get my data back i am going lodge an fir. Just inform me on this so that i can take necessary action on this. Or my data will be recovered and the charges will be born by western digital company.
