Western Digital Customer Care's response Hi Baldev,
I am sorry to hear about it. I’d like to check with you, I have checked
Western Digital Hard Disk 500GB Serial number: WCA5C65666, unfortunately it’s not able to find in WD Warranty site. It may be a typo error, because WD serial number contained 12 digits. Besides that, you may visit our website to check the HDD status. Please refer the link below to warranty check.
http://wdsupport.wdc.com/warranty/warrantycheck.asp?custtype=end .
For the WD Green HDD, I have checked but it’s no longer under warranty. Please advise if you have created the RMA or have you refer to the reseller that the HDD you bought from.
If you have created the RMA request, you can check the status at: https://westerndigital.secure.force.com/ind/?lang=en .
Hope it helps.
