Had lodged a complaint ( DL[protected]) on the 12th May 2011, towards ineffective cooling in the lower portion of my double door ( GNF 285X Frost free) refridgerator and i got an sms that Service Engineer Palvinder Singh- [protected] would attend the call. Much to my dissapointment, the Engineer did not turn up on the next day and when i tried to contact him, he did not answer the call. He did turn up on the 14th May , and when asked , he expressed his inability to get in touch due to he being overworked and over burdened with complaints. He then checked the Fridge, and said that the cooling in the lower portion was due to a slight leakage of gas, and a refill would make things fine. He also charged Rs. 1670 towards advance payment for the gas refill which i did vide receipt no 6350 dated 14/5/11 favouring M/s Goel Enterprises, ( which i believe were the sub contractors for Whirlpool). Now even after paying an advance payment , none of the engineers whose contact nos whirlpool kept sending , ever turned up . (Raj -[protected], K. Ahmed -[protected], ) these phones were switched off when contacted. Then Ramesh kumar - [protected] turned up on the 21st May 2011, to fill the gas, and after he did the refilling, the fridge stopped cooling at all. He said that by next day it should be ok, and left. He was more concerned with me providing the 3 digit satisfactory code, which i refused as I was not satisfied with your services. My working refrigerator had been turned into a non working defunct machine due to this lack lusture attitude.. Now when i am trying to get in touch with the service centre, they say they would send some senior engineer, and this is what i have been hearing for the past 2 days, and today i get an SMS that my call has been closed, What was most annoying is that the help desk email id given also is of no help as there is no acknowledgement of any emails sent on that email id, nor any revert. The attitude of Whirlpool has left me in a lurch as to what next am i suppose to do...?? It seems like my hard earned money spent on this refrigerator has gone down the drain, thanks to this disgusting service levels.
I find this really very unprofessional on Whirlpool's part to send an SMS for a closure of a call, without having resolved the problem. Would like to know from Whirlpool as to why is it that there is no email id provided by the customer service head, or any contact details given on the website, given so that the customer grievances are handled in a proper manner. This way , Whirlpool is only going to loose out business with this negative attitude. I would henceforth not recommend anyone buying Whirlpool products.
