I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in June 2010. As the one year warranty on this product is expiring shortly, I received a telephone call this morning from a representative from Whirlpool to find out whether I was interested in taking an annal maintenance contract for this frig.

During my discussion with this person I got to know that Whirlpool does not give AMC for refrigerators which are more than five years old. I am amazed to know that such a reputed company is not interested in providing customer service on their products (which may also be under AMC for 5 years) but is more interested in selling new products. Other companies such as Godrej provide AMC for all their products even after five year period. The purpose of this complaint is to highlight this issue in a publc forum and warn consumers regarding this unfair practice.

    I had given compliant in Whirlpool Customer Care Compliant No. AH[protected] dt: 24.02.2011.

    My several reminder in customer care as well as M/s. Shree Darshan Electrionics till date not solved my compliant.

      Hi,

      I bought Refrigerator Double door 4 Years back. Moreover,8 Months ago there was some fault in Defreezer fan and also at the bottom of Door a part broken causing problem at the time of open the door. Twice, we have given request to the concerned service station i.e Gandhi Nagar office for the problem.Although, Engineer of the concerned station assured us to whenever part of the door reaches immediately repaired it. In result, Yesterday Door was isolated and regarding Fan Still causing so much noise which totally intolerable.

      I stongly condemned the service given by the Whirpool in the mentioned above area as despite of providing the services, they are causing more problems as well as harrassment.

      After given Request 3-4 times still no positive response from them even only stupid reason to extend further.

        Purchased a Whirlpool fridge 310 L Serial no INA[protected] from Reliance Hypermart Limited, Motikhavdi Phone:[protected] on 12.10.2010. Fridge received in two days and commissioned on 19.10.2010 by the technician send by Reliance mart. The top door accessories fell dowm from technician's hand and broke. The broken piece was handed over to Reliance mart on 19.10.2010 itself. The receipt by Reliance mart is attached for reference. Reliance mart agreed to replace but not replaced till date.

        Please advise how can I get the new material.

          i would like to inform that i have purchased F65 machine @ 5 years back and i have experienced problem of pressure sensor failure couple of times.

          On[protected] Complain was lodged and resolved in the evening 7.00 PM, the pressure sensor is replaced (Service Engineer quoted that New sensor is installed), but there was no genuine marked on the part about it's originality. Anyway i have quoted the satisfaction code on the service request.

          i asked for whirpool for justification for below questions/

          1. Kindly ensure me about originality of installed part.
          2. Would prefer to know from the whirlpool technical manager about main cause of this frequent failure of pressure sensor?
          3. How to restore the permanent solution to this problem? How long i have to keep continue contract with their service partner seven star?

            I purchased 1.5 Ton Whirlpool Window Air Conditioner in September' 2009 (Model No.-WAWR18D10 and Serial No.-W19H1901717). This particular A.C. is not working properly i.e. cooling efficiency is very bad from date of purchase.
            In this regard, I have already complaint {(Complaint No.-PT[protected] dated 17/06/2010) and (Complaint No.-PT[protected] dated 08/07/2010)} and also Complaint No.-PT[protected] dated 17/03/2011, but this AC contains same problems i.e. cooling efficiency is very poor as till date.
            Now, its warranty period has been expired. So, in this regard please take further necessary action and erect the exact problem as soon as possible.

              Dear Sir ,

              This is to bring to your kind knowledge that I had bought a Whirpool 310LTR FF Refrigerator, MODEL- IB CLASSIC steel on 23/4/2008 which had severe inbuilt problems and even after sending the refrigerator 8 (EIGHT TIMES) under the supervision of Mr Subhash Das, Mr Sahu, and even Engineers from Mumbai, to your workshop (within guarantee period) your engineers could not repair it and as a result ordered for a replacement, that too paying an amount of 3654 Rupees. Which according to me was unfair and unjust.

              I got my old 310 ltr refrigerator replaced for a new 310ltr ,DLX Professional Titanium INA[protected]Document no-[protected]/CST No-22222/LST NO-1111/Material no-12076 on the 29/05/2010 but it also proved to be the same as before and had a cooling problems.

              Having no other options again I had to contact your customer care department on 23/11/10 , Service Request No-13683 where we had put our remarks that we have to observe the refrigerator for atleast one month before we submit our report . As it is more than two months now ,we are sorry to state that its cooling is not upto the mark and we are facing huge difficulties.

              With regard to the above mentioned matter I sincerely request you to look into the matter at the earliest and do the needful . as it is very suprising for us to get these kind of gadgets from a globally reputed company like whirlpool.

                I, Biplab Mitra, resident of 150/55, Gopal Mishra Road, P & N Co-operative Land, Behala, Kolkata-700034, purchased a 1.5 Ton Split Air-Conditioner of Whirlpool , Model- Chrome ( 3 star rated) - Silver colour from KHOSLA ELECTRONICS PVT. LTD., 371/1, DIAMOND HARBOUR ROAD, KOLKATA - 700034 ( Contact Nos.[protected] /[protected] ON 11.03.2011 vide Bill No. BHC/5450. Till the date the same have not been delivered to me.

                The purpose of purchasing the Air-conditioner is to save my 3 month old baby from severe heat generated during day time as per Doctor's advise ( we reside 1st floor of our 2-storied house) . The matter was also informed to the concerned sales person Mr. Bappa Chowdhury ( Mobile No.- +91-[protected]) of Khosla Electronics Pvt. Ltd. at the time of purchasing the A.C. and I was verbally assured that the same would be delivered and installed positively on 12.03.2011. Everyday, while I am calling Mr. Chowdhury, he is stating that the articles are on the way and it would be delivered soon. On 15.03.2011 I met with Mr. Bappa Chowdhury and it was informed to me that while delivering on the way the delivery man had lost the outdoor unit of Split A.C. and I have to wait for further infinite days.

                Please take necessary steps Sir, my baby is now in a distressed condition.

                    My Whirlpool fridge was have defrosting problem. On 8th March 2011, upon my telephone call, the service engineer from Whirlpool visited my house and checked my Rregrigerator (FF450). He informed me that Module etc. was not functioning and need to be repaired at a cost of Rs.4225.00. He further informed that the repair work will be done at the workshop. I agreed and gave a cash advance of Rs.2000/-The service engineer issued his SRN 6414 and the in the same evening the equipment was taken for repair by the representatives of whirlpool service centre. The whirlpool also sent me sms giving the name of the service engineer. On 11th March 2011, the equipment was brought back to my house by the whirlpool service centre people and installed it. I paid them the balance cash. They returned the fridge with 2/3 scratches on the right side which I pointed out to the people who brought back the equipment. They informed me that this might have happend in the factory. The following day I noticed that ice started forming in the freezing compartment wall and the automatic defrost system is not working. I have informed the service centre people and Mr.R.Verma who promptly said he will be send a person to check. Inspite of my paying heavy amount, the fridge remains in the same old condition and I wonder what repair they have done in the factory except making few scratches on the sides. Still I am waiting for a service engineer from the company to check and verify. It appears that they have not done any repair/rectification as they claimed.

                      We ,Kartik Manium,tel number 28157963 bought a frost free double door fridge from Rathna stores. The fridge originlly delivered was dented which was replaced. Since we have made several complaints about either milk getting spoiled. Ithe cooling is increased vegetables get spoiled. Although several people, mechanics and engineers have visited us but they are unable to solve the problem. We have in the taken a two year AMC but have lost many rupees by spoilt milk and vegewtables. It appears that your company is unable to produce a solution. The ideal thing is to replace the fridge again.

                        Dear Sir / Madam,

                        we bought Whirlpool Refrigerator on 22.10.2008 from whirlpool autorised dealer - M/s. Vijay Sales - Charni Road.

                        the model is MM23DLXTIT WPL REF MMIND 23DLX TITANIUM 1474, CHASIS NO.[protected].

                        It was giving satisfactory service till 02.03.2011 but in the morning of that day we noticed that there is no cooling immediately we rang up call center and registered a no cooling complaint wide sr no. MB[protected].

                        One mechanic mr. alok came on 04.03.2011 from Indico Engineers - Dadar in the afternoon and he were there till late night and he reported that there is gas leak. how come gas leak for a relatively new fridge ? he was performing his work by looking in the booklet which he was having, if he is an expert then why he need booklet ?, he replaced the compressor, took Rs. 2035/- and confirmed that the there will be cooling after 3/4 hrs. but the problem did not resolved.

                        we even spoke at whilrpool ho office - ms. reshma they said that the problem is such that it can not be resolved.

                        again we booked a complaint and the same mechanic came on 07.03.2011 at 8.30 p.m. he was there till 9.20 p.m. again he checked and said that the refrigerator will be taken to the service centre. since 08.03.2011 onwards we are following up for our complaint but no response is received till date from whirpool.

                        will somebody from whirlpool head quarters look into this ? i am sure this kind of customer feedback is not common to the company.

                        is this the kind of after sales service one can expects from an MNC ? if the problem can not be resolved then give us replacement.

                        we shall be thankful for a reply and prompt and effective action.

                        WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA LTD. — COOLING PROBLEM

                        I have purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator and it has passed only 1.5 yrs and i have repaired it twice. the cost of repairing is also very high.
                        Service charge is very high so i called a local party to solve the issue, they checked and found that a capacitor and a compressor relay is not working .
                        They replaced the two and debited a cost of Rs.1500.

                          I have purchase a 25c magic cook microwave + gill + convection oven, on 26 Jan 2011 from E-zone,
                          City- kalyan, dist- thane, state- Maharashtra. I got the delivery of same on 5 Th Feb. 2011. The demo
                          Person came on 7 Th Feb. 2011 for demo. That time he found that the one handle for steel (black color) plate is missing, which is normally use to bake food. So he ask me to launch the complaint to service center for missing item in the packed piece (complaint is register to [protected] number). Also he damaged one startup kit bowel while giving the demo (yellow color bowel is melt down). After launching the complaint on 10th there is not proper reasons from whirlpool customer care executive. Now there is nearly one month passed way still no proper response from service center. Till today customer care, Mumbai (ph. [protected]) and service center, dombiwali (ph. [protected]) are saying that your parts were ordered and you will get it within one week, but today they have change their tone and now they are saying that for the these missing and damage object you need to speak to the dealer. Now you tell me that bowl is damaged by demo executive (who is working for whirlpool service center, dombiwali) and handle is missing from the packed piece. How the dealer is responsible for that? The whirlpool executives are just running away from their responsibility. I am just fed up with all this things and so I am putting this consumer complaint against whirlpool India to you. Please help me to resolve the matter

                            Hello,

                            We are making this complain out of frustration.

                            We have registered service request numbers (04320 & 04324 - dt 8th Mar 2011) for our 2x ACs where in the engineer (Mr. Vasu) visited us at 4:30 PM on 8th even when instructed and personally explained that we would be going out at 5:00 PM. He did not do a thing and promised me to come back the next day.

                            The next day ie on 9th March 2011, we got SMSs that the calls were closed as per our satisfaction, which surprised us.

                            When contacting the call center, they logged a fresh call on 9th Mar[protected] and 5302) but the Engineer has not yet responded for these (already beyond 3 hrs now).

                            Meanwhile, we called up the Engineer who visited us for just 20 mins yesterday (Mr Vasu) who clearly shouted on us as if we committed some mistake and rudely told, go to hell and not attend to any calls. We fail to understand, how can he change his version (of a promise that he would solve our issues the next day and close out the calls with out even attending them, and giving a reason that the customer was satisfied?).

                            We tried to reach out to the Manager Suresh ([protected]), who was too busy and did not even want to listen to our side of the issue, and going beyond than Mr Vasu (the engineer) in his behaviour.

                            This makes us believe, that this esteemed company Whirlpool does not bother for their customers (we have 2 ACs and a refridgerator) but we intend to sell off and move to LG for sure, after this.

                            I wanted to highlight this as our frustration with Whirlpool .. Although, now believing that there would not be any hearing for us here (whether in phone or on email) nor any justice to provide a genuine help in our issues.

                            It is just disgusting to have interaction with Engineers like Vasu and Manager like Suresh.

                                Sub:- Repair / replacement of fridge componants.
                                Dear Sir,

                                We in our Chinmaya Mission ashram at above address have purchased a whirlpool refrigerator master mind 26 CLX Electric Blue, from your Baroda dealer M/s. R A electronics pvt. Ltd. Wide invoice number S-INV 1443 dt. 18/06/2007.

                                We have satisfactory observation of its performance and services. Recently it required service, which your local mechanic has attended. During service it is observed that in the deep fridge compartment of refrigerator the body of mounting of air flow regularator have given way and caused profuse leakage of water in main compartment of fridge. On query with your mechanic it is understood that, the coil of deep fridge section is touching to the back side wall unit of deep fridge unit and has given a way.

                                The repair charges indicated was Rs. 1500/= for the same and with one month warranty only.

                                We now have following question in mind …,

                                1. The arrangement of construction of wall unit adjacent to coil had resulted in this problem, which however has no other reason like miss handling of fridge etc; where by your responsibility is avoided. For such inbuilt defect problem customer cannot be held responsible and it is expected that you shall repair such problem at free of cost as soon as possible.
                                2. If at all, the repair charges are recovered than the warranty period of repaired item shall not be limited to one month only, to avoid reoccurrence of same problem for long time and for smooth operation of fridge.

                                It is expected to arrange repair of above problem at free of cost and at the earliest, to built in developed confidence of customers in world renowned firm i.e. M/s. Whirlpool.

                                  I purchased whirlpool 250lts refrigerator from MS Pradeep Radio & TV Centre R.K.Puram Sector 6 New Delhi on 12.02.2011. On the same day we had complained that the balance of the refrigerator was improper. Your service engineer visited on the same day and stated that the plate below the refrigerator has to be removed and got dented and it is a minor problem. He visited next on 16.02.2011 and did the denting and we noticed that the door was not closing properly and it started making noise. An another complaint was lodged on 17.02.2011 stating the problem and your engineer visited on 19.02.2001. After checking it he said that both the doors have to be removed and got repaired which was not allowed by us because just in a span of a week it has be repaired thrice. In view of the above this was not excepted such defective product from such a famous company and we are truly disappointed. We are not interested in any further repairs and kindly request you to get the product replaced immediately.

                                    My fridge 370 litre hinge of lower door is broken, I have logged a complaint vide complaint number HR[protected] but no action in last 15 days
                                    I have made complaint in service centre in rewari to Mr. Malik 60 days before. He has ordered for the parts , but part not received from company . I am unable to use fridge since last 60 days.

                                    Whirlpool Refrigerator — Door hinge broken

                                    I am posted at Air Force Station, Ajnala Road, Amritsar Cant, Amritsar. The door of my refrigrator (Sixth sense, ice berg) has broken from the top corner. The complain towards it was lodged with Sanyo Electronics, Hall Bazar, Amritsar on 22 Apr 09 (1100hrs). The refrigrator was bought in Jul 07 and is still under warranty period. The dealer at Amritsar has been extreemly unintrested to attend the complain and even on query made today at 1400hrs the response from the above mentioned dealer has been very discouraging. Please intervene and get my refrigrator attended by a service call centre mechanic at the earliest. It is also to bring to your notice to educate the dealers or their employes to be concern about the complains made and try to be more consumer friendly in theor dealings.

                                      I purchased a fully automatic washing machine in the month of June-2009 from shop named- Chheda Electronics,Mundra. After five months it stopped working. I contacted to concern shop he replied that this will be checked soon .After checking it was found that its PCB is having problem, so this will be change by company cost.
                                      After so many follow up the repair action, my washing machine is still not repaired and returned to me.
