1. I am Commander Sanjeev Gupta of Indian Navy. I have a GRIEVANCE which needs to be ADDRESSED and TOLD to others
2. I had purchased a Fridge Professional 35 Elite through CSD and through dealer at Airforce canteen Racecourse Delhi on 26 Aug 2010.
3. I had as per instructions given in the booklet, asked the WHIRLPOOL REPRESENTATIVE (through Whirlpool Customer Care) to visit, install and educate us about the facilities.
4. Mr Rajesh Rajput ( [protected]) was nominated and visited our residence to intall the fridge, when he visited, he demonstrated the functions and operationalize the fridge, however, he suggested that we must buy whirlpool stabilizer for the safety, we agreed and he installed the stabilizer costing Rs 1500 ,then and there.
5. Everything went off well.
6. Now, after 6 month, suddenly, stabilizer went off defective. I lodged a complaint to customer care and promptly, Mr Rajput again landed up and replaced and asked for the bill which became the bone of contention between us as , as per my wife the bill of the stabilizer was not given and as per Mr Rajput, he says, he only has installed it and it is not possible that he has not given the bill.
7. He took the stabilizer back without replacing it and tells that whenever we produce bill, it would be replaced.
8. Thereafter, I contacted whirlpool CCC, however, I got the cold reply that nothing could be done without the receipt.
9. I have following to be submitted.
(a) In this era, wherein, my complete record of purchase and details are available with the company, why do they require the bills as proof of my purchase? Most of the big companies, now a days do not require any such small piece of paper.
(b) Even if you require it, why customer can’t be helped by the company to get the duplicate bill/ proof of having it purchased within warranty period.
(c) Thirdly, does this CARE TOO HOOT attitude of customer care suit a company of million dollars celebrating 100 yrs of existence.
10. I can always mention the names of the representatives of CC who have shown total disregard to the customer relations, however, I chose not to as I have no proof of their misbehavior.
11. It is not the question of Rs 1500/- worth of item but it is a question of trust in the of the BRAND wherein I never doubted that the item being supplied by the representative of company who has come to install the brand new fridge could be fake ( as told by customer care) and that is the reason why they want receipt.
12. I have written to whirlpool but till date has not got any reply......But anyways I would not let them go scotfree.

Sir,
I am a regular consumer of the product of “Whirlpool” and in the same connection & have purchased a microwave oven convection model of 25 liters capacity on 25.01.2011but I am sorry to say that I am suffering from a bitter experience this time and want to draw your kind attention towards the absurd, negligent and ignorable and irresponsible behavior of service center staff situated at Lucknow. Irrespective of giving the proper servicing they have neither given the proper demonstration nor attended the complaints properly. Their job knowledge is of such type that after checking for repair (repairing has not been done) certain new problems of short circuit and earthen problems has been developed.
I have made several complaints on16.08.2012 & 28.08.2012- Complaint No. LK[protected], LK[protected] respectively and after continuous request of several time when the staff responsible for providing services visited at site then instated of repairing and removing the problem they have demanded a sum of Rs. 850.00 with this plea that some relevant parts (magnetron etc.) are not working and irreparable.
It is remarkable to mention here that said oven lies within the warranty period & your help line complaint staff has assured me for the replacement of faulty part (magnetron) free of cost as there is warranty of two years on the magnetron, even then the problem has not been removed till now even after expiry of fifteen days.
Kindly do the needful in this respect and instruct your staff to adopt appropriate work culture in lack of which the image of your well reputed company will tarnish
