Subject: Service within Warranty period
I purchased Mobile Redmi Note4 32GB IMEI No.[protected], Invoice No. FABA[protected] on date[protected] in the name Pradeep Kumar Joshi through Flipkart.
But within less than 9months of purchase, on[protected], the mobile screen has gone blank.
I approached MI service centre - I Care Services, UG-4, 5 Westend Mall, Janak Puri, New Delhi-110058. Ms Pooja, who attended to me, got the mobile opened at the backend room. She claimed some part inside in the motherboard is broken and now the mobile warranty is not applicable. I told her, that they have only opened the mobile for the first time and it is within warranty period.
Then I called up their call centre and spoke to Ms Monika and Mr Ram Singh at Mi Call centre and lodged the complaint no. WOIN[protected] dated[protected], who advised me to deposit the mobile at the service centre and it will be repaired without any charge.
I have written emails to the MD Xiaomi India but no reply and have been requesting the call centre, have called them so many times to look into the matter and have my Mobile repaired without any charges, as it's within warranty period and the service centre has only opened it for the first time.
Now, it has been 2 weeks, MI has not taken the complaint seriously and the service centre is insisting on a payment of Rs. 5300/-.
MI is refusing to honour the warranty, despite any physical damage to the mobile from our side.
