I haven't received any response from Xolo customer care regarding replacement for my Xolo mobile which caught fire on 11th February 2015. Though I have repeatedly called customer care and written to the company, they have been rather unresponsive till today. I am only seeking only a replacement of the product since this is coming under the warranty period.

This complaint has gone unheard since then and the service center has decided not to attend to the problem saying that the warranty becomes void due to fire.
My concern is more about SAFETY than it is to do with the replacement. If this is not covered under warranty?, should we wait for an incident where someone gets killed due to overcharging?
As a consumer, I would want to appeal to Court that the company (in this case XOLO) or any company needs to fully bear the expense of what defects arise from the products they make, which should also include any damages caused by the product.
I didn't find any satisfactory response. The service center and the customer care (phone line), said that there is nothing that they can do, and the warranty got void due to fire. They also stated that the fire could be due to voltage fluctuation or due to over-charging, or maybe due to reasons which I might have hidden...
Is it normal for a phone to catch fire? Is there any place in India where there is no voltage fluctuation? if so, how many complaints of fire related issues would have come by now? How many times have we all overcharged by an hour or more? Mind you, this phone was left for charging only for 3 hours max.

If I knew that it was normal for a phone to catch fire or cause me harm, why would I purchase it? The fact is they don't even consider knowing that it is under the warranty period.

Being a genuine customer, I found this very unsatisfactory and disappointing. Now, not only will I not recommend to anyone but I feel like I want to sue the company - reason!! The fire almost killed me since the fire happened while I was sleeping.

Add guess what? I'll receive another computerised message following this (this has been the case with most of the request which I shared with the customer care.

    I lost my mobile hand set XOLO Q3000 when boarding into to the BEST BUS 125 on 3rd May, 2015 at 05:20 pm during I was going to Mumbai Central to Prabhadevi. I found theft of my cell phone while in journey in the same bus at Tardeo. Request you to please help in tracing my mobile handset stolen in BEST BUS as details given above.

      Sir On 20 june, 2014 i purchased a xolo q 1200 and after 2, 3 months its has an battery backup problem.after 5 month its battery swell and screen is getting out of the phone. So i submit it on service center . they repaired it and return it to me after 10 day bt my phone condition was not gud it was repaired badly.( in looks ). After 1 month it has an heating issue. If i open 1 or 2 app it heat a lot.i have complaint regarding this that i want a replacement of my phone as it was a manufacturing issue.i have written complaints regarding this by mail at with all necessary details but ur company does'nt reply any one of them. U guyz care about the company reputation or not. I am very disappointed with my decision of buying a xolo phone. Kindly look into the matter and replace my phone.i don't want to file a legal action against xolo bt i[censored] don't take any action then i have 2 do this.         Submitted my mobile for repair Vide Complain No:[protected], where in verbal estimate was given on basis of it is was assured that the phone will be repaired. Next week received a message that the mobile was repaired and collect it from the service centre. On visiting the centre understood that the Phone is not repaired. The service centre was unable to give any feedback again after follow up new complain / request for repair was raised. the same status again. Received message that phone is repaired collect from the service Centre. Again on visiting the service centre receive a feedback the phone is returned without repair as spares not available. All the 3 visits have taken almost 60 mints of my time as the service staff is very slow and rude with the customers. They behave as if they are making favour on us by repairing the phone. even after 1 month the status of the handset is the same.

          I bought this phone(Play 8x 1100) some time in October 2014 and had to go to the service center within a week with the Mic problem. They kept my handset for 45 days without a resolution. Finally I got it in November and within 3 days o[censored]se it was back to the same. I have given it for repair thrice at the Thane service center. The fourth time they replaced it with a new handset in December. Now it's April and the same problem haunts me all over again. I am tired of going to the service center where those people are not co-operative and extremely uncouth. I never get any updates from them. Xolo/Lava You have to address this issue and come to a resolution.

          I bought this phone(Play 8x 1100) some time in 01 Feb, 2015 through by Snapdeal.com an online shopping by Cash On Delivery and i had to go to the any service center in Shillong, Meghalaya (India) on 26 September 2015 for checking the Crystal Outer Mic problem. They say that it will be replace and fit it by the new Crysta; Outer Mic but they don't have any material to solved this problem. Finally I would like to request you for helping for to send a new crystal outer mike matching with this mobile phone. I am sure to pay by Cash On Delivery.

          Now when I use the phone when I call to the people they can't not hear anything from my voice but for my side I can hear clearly. So I hope you can help and solved this problem.

            I have submitted my phone to xolo customer care since march. I got my phone back on 2nd april. But i discovered that the replacement was made with a defective part. so i resubmitted the phone on 6th april, which was sent to delhi till today i have not received my phone. From 20days long i am hearing that they are waiting for the part to arrive(Delhi HO) The company makes a fifteen days policy of service but its been months for me. I purchased the phone at 13000 and they offered me XOLO omega 5.5 by pay additional cash of 6000 which MRP is 9999. I would be highly obliged if i could get any help from you guy my new workorder nymber is[protected]

              FOR XOLO Q3000 IMEI NO = [protected] my complain number is[protected]dated-24/4/15) their is authorized service station Akshar commnunication in Ankleshwar (Gujarat) .. their is replacement of speaker & ringer on date(27/4/15 at 5 pm) given me phone for one day trial but it is not working properly when today (28/4/15) i visit the service station to return the phone sending through a company but they did not accept by saying that it is out of warranty. my bill date is 26/4/14 i complaint the phone on repair 24/4/15 and they replaced the speaker on 27/4/15 and without satisfied me they are not accepting after one day off trail but phone having also under problem .he is saying that job sheet is completed so we are not accepting the phone. i strickly required the phone to be repaired under warrenty because my phone was given to service station before my billing date and this is regarding same problem not another. waitting for positive soloution for company better progress with coustomer service satisfaction.                   Hi, I purchased my XOLO Play 8X-1100 on 8 Nov 2014 and in April 2015 I found its MIC not working completely. The person at the other end of the call was not able to listen anything. I have submitted my mobile to the official service center We Care Mobiles at Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 16 April 2015. IMEI No.: [protected] Work Order Number:[protected] After waiting for a long time, I received a call on 27th April 5:30 PM from XOLO customer care that the repair is taking longer than usual and they are ready to replace my mobile with latest version i.e. Omega 5.5. However when compared with my current model (i.e. Play 8X-1100) I found that all the features were lower. e.g. 8X-1100 has 2 GB RAM, while this one has 1 GB RAM similarly 1.7 GHz Vs. 1.4 GHz processor, 16 GB internal storage Vs 8 GB internal storage, 5 MP Vs 2 MP front camera. The person who called also informed me that even if they repair my phone, there might be some other issues with it which may lead to issues in future and I would be out of warranty by that time. And he was trying to convince me to accept the offer to accept the downgraded version. Please note this is absolutely unacceptable and I am happy to get my original phone repaired and returned to me. A happy and proud customer was let down by the statement that you may face other issues with the phone in future. Even the phone is not repairable, you should offer same or higher model and not the downgraded model which is almost half of the price of what I have paid for. Also I am promised to get the repaired mobile in 15 days. Please help! Thanks, Keyur

                  However your response does not answer below queries.

                  1. Why my phone is not repaired even after 12 days?

                  2. When will I get it back?

                  3. Why the person from XOLO offered me a lower quality, lower configured phone as a replacement of my XOLO Play 8X-1100? Which is having almost half configurations in all the parameters including the price.

                  4. He also scared me that your current phone might have other problems and you may face them in future, it is better to get a new phone which he was offering. Why are you not confident with your own product or the service/repairing you will do with it?

                  5. How would you make sure that a happy and proud customer of XOLO Play 8X-1100 will remain happy. At least 4 of my friends have bought this mobile after I strongly recommended this to them. I am not sure how would I face them when they will find similar issue with their mobile service or will learn my story?

                  Hoping for a favourable solutions to my queries and also exact date and time of the product being repaired.

                    My Xolo - model Play 8X-1100, has been submitted for the second time for the same complaint of on/off button, volume button not working, as well as Charging issue on date 03.04.2015. ( Last work order no.[protected]. No response and feedback either from service centre and Customer care. I am feeling bad, why did I purchased Xolo? After purchasing this phone, most of the time it was with Xolo care only. Please either replace my phone or Rectify the issue and Handover my handset.

                      M/s Xolo, I am facing battery related problem in my Xolo Q1020. I had purchased Xolo Q900 and after some time it was starts heating. Your Xolo Service centre unable to find that problem. Then I was suggested by M/s Xolo to take exchange offer By giving 5700/-(Through net banking) get new Xolo Q1020. I agreed and take that offer. Now, the battery of Xolo Q1020 was expose slight and Xolo service centre operator asked that they will not provide any warranty against this. After putting a mail request to Xolo, one telephonic discussion happen they refuse to change battery. I am facing this problem twice and this is not acceptable how they can refuse to change battery if i am using genuine parts. And in this regard i have personally submitted the phone to your branch office(Behind Desire Hotel, Red Cross Market) dated 10.04.2015 to detect the problem and diagnosis of the same. After 7 days( i.e 17.04.2015) i have collected same but regret to inform that same problem yet coming. Hence today again i have deposit/handover my mobile at your branch office(Railway Road, Near Over bridge).So please share with me the actual problem of my handset and why it is Taking so much time to repair as due to this i am suffering a lot. Also Note my grantee period is going to complete dated 26.05.2015.                               Hi Team, This is regarding a Xolo 8x1000 phone which we purchased few months back IMEI no. [protected]. This phone has started creating problem of heating up and then hang. When we tried to restart it went into dead condition, we reported the same to the nearest service center and they kept the phone for evaluation on 24/03/15, I received it back on 2/4/15 with the same bad condition. The phone started and hanged again then it kept on restarting and hanging even after doing a software update and change of battery as been told to me by the service center people in Pimpri (Pune) reference Work order no.[protected]. I do not understand how was the checking been done as the condition of the phone is still bad hence I have given the phone again to another service center code 1300434. They have again kept the phone on 4/4/15 and I have reported the same issue to them work order no.[protected]. Initially I liked the phone very much hence I purchased another same model for myself and used to refer this company to my friends as well but now I am doubtful myself on its quality. The phone is under warranty and I have been in trouble for almost a month now hence I request a replacement for the same as I can't trust this product anymore.                                 My Xolo - model Play 8X-1100, has been submitted for the third time for the same complaint o[censored]nusual heating of the handset on date 04.04.2015. ( work order no.[protected] Major problem of Motherboard replacement was carried out twice earlier & still the same problem of heating of handset is repeated. During this repairs following more problems are noticed, 1. Battery life has reduced considerable, which earlier showed more than 10 hours talk time has come down to 4 hours or so. 2. Display Screen size has reduced 3. Speaker volume has considerably reduced. 4. Wi-Fi connection drops and I have to make it ON again & again. 5. Screen touch response has slowed down and many times a character/alphabet next to the desired one appears on the text screen. The said handset was purchase on 14.09.2014 and is in warranty period. Considering above repeated problems I request the Xolo management to provide me a Brand New piece and end my agony of sending the handset for repairs again & again. Contacted Xolo call center to check when new handset will be issued & what is the procedure for the same twice, last call being today[protected]. Call center executive gives regular answer that company will decide & contact you. No clarity provided yet. I do not want the faulty handset and battery whose half the life has eroded. Please help.                                     sir, i have purchased a xolo q 1010i on 30 apr 2014. the back button of the screen stopped working some days back I went to service centre O mobile at 15 I C road Rahara Khardah Kolkata 700118 mob: [protected], They told me your PDA along with Screen is to be changed but that will cost Rs 4300/-. When asked that it was under warranty he started seeing the mobile little seriously and then told me has the set fallen down from my hand when i said no, he told me there seem to some physical damage so warranty is void and i have to give full cash. My repeated persuasion could not convince him that set has no physical damage.Sir, try to understand the situation the set which cost around Rs 13000 is not worked for 12 months.
