I am wife of an officer serving for indian army. I was booking a hotel with yatra.com and came to know about their "special discounts" for defense personnel. So i tried booking the hotel from my husband's account instead. To my shock - i came to know yatra is charging more as hotel tariff from an armed forces officer than a regular civilian indian citizen. And so i rather chose to book the hotel from my account instead.
I am sure there must be so many armed forces personnel who would have suffered as a result of this fraud - unaware of this scam - which i too would have been if i had not double checked the tariff from my account.

I am attaching the screenshots as a proof taken at exact same time for both our accounts (Regular and armed force personnel)

    Day 1 : delhi.
    We had booked for north india package for 10 nites and 11 days. First time we all family travelling to north india.5 adult and 1 child which they charged 2.13 lac. After reaching delhi we got a first shock that the driver assigned by them wasn't told about our trip in detail. He was just asked to take us directly to agra. We told him to take to hotel and we will check in than we will go for agra. Second shock was the white klove hotel new delhi. We were shocked to see our room.. They said it is a 3star hotel.. But the maintenance was cheaper than local hotels..ac is not working, no proper door lock, hotel lift was stuck when my wife was using. Bed was horrible, bedspreads weren’t changed and they were bed bugs.. They were dirty, then comes to bathroom no buckets are mug where we can't close the door completely also horrible experience.
    2. Shimla.
    Then next day we had to new driver and another car. Started to shimla. First shock is hotel was outside shimla town nearly 32km outside shimla. We spent more time is travelling we stayed for 2 nights apart from all this..
    3. Dharamshala.
    Hotel was outside dharamshala, 25km outside we spent more time in travelling from hotel to tourist places.
    4. Delhi
    We requested to yatra to change the delhi staying hotel are refund the amount, but almost 4 days continues flow with yatra people, no responds’ from them and we stayed in same hotel. The mental trauma we went through while travelling can't be compensated.. Yatra is a fraud and cheap travel agency... Never will i ever recommend yatra or ever will i travel... I recommend not to choose yatra.. I need a refund..

      I, anita hasurkar, had booked tickets for 8 pax from singapore - bali return. It read refundable on the site, am attaching a copy of the tkts.
      Now, i want to cancel the booking for 4 pax, and on the site, it said, no information available on cancellation charges. On call, i was told it is a non refundable ticket!!!
      This is a clear case of fraud!
      Most unethical and unprofessional!
      I need to escalate this matter within yatra and to the consumer form as well.
      Kindly look into it and resolve at the earliest.

        Firstly customer service is worst i have ever seen.
        Always false commitments.
        No customer value!

        At the time when we initiated bookings, we were told that in case if we cancel the trip, we are eligible to get refund within a day.

        Due to some reasons we had to cancel the trip, and now 2 months over but no refund processed.
        Everyday we need to call yatra customer care which itself takes 4-5 try to connect once, then support person respond this way :
        - we have initiated 2 weeks ago, wait for 2 more days. You 'll get entire amount refunded for sure
        - wait for a week, trust us you'll get refund back
        - we have checked with the finance team, they are saying you'll get in sometime blah... Blah... All the false statements... All the false commitment... No value for our time..

        If refund cant happen within the mentioned date, why are you fooling customers?
        If this is the policy to make us fool, then i'd say this is the worst worst portal to even login.

        As per the policy we had to get refund within a day but now 2 months over.
        I want a confirm date when can i get my refund back.
        My point of contact is danish kureshi and his supervisor devendra mishra.
        Both are giving us fake commitment everyday.

          I booked for 4 rooms in hotel beach florra inn from[protected] to[protected]. My booking reference number is[protected]. I witnessed the worst experience at the hotel right from parking to amenities that they failed to fulfill.

          1. There was no parking for cars and with much hurdle we managed to park two cars somewhere in a marsh and slippery area with full of mud that clogged up the tires. As per the direction of hotel manager (Florra inn) we were escorted by them to park in another hotel's property and the person responsible for the hotel (Where we parked) started to threaten us and brutally used harsh and foul language and acted disrespectful for which the hotel management did nothing but simply persuade us.

          2. There was no lock in the bathroom door and was broken.

          3. The bathroom window was open and was visible from outside and the outsiders were peeping inside through the open window.

          4. The worst fix the hotel tried is to cover the window with a cloth.

          5. Before checking in we requested for beach side view and they failed to fulfill.

          6. The entrance window was so visible that one can peep inside and look at the bed.

          Overall the hotel caused so much of depression and lack of security that our families were in a condition to be evacuated from the hotel. I checked out immediately on the same day of check-in 29/09/2017 and i demand for a refund immediately and i also demand a response from team yatra for delaying the process as i have lodged the complaint on the very same day of check-out. I have sent an email with photos to [protected]@yatra.com and the response was not satisfied.

          Would like to inform you that as we have checked our team was in contact with you on 06th Oct'17 and they have informed you that refund would not be possible on this because issue which you have faced was rectified by the hotelier on the same day and for parking facility, hotelier has already denied that they don't have parking but still they can park somewhere on their own risk while you had denied for the same and parking facility was also not mentioned in the amenities while during the booking.             We had booked for nainital and mussorie package for 5 days for which they charged 32k. After reaching delhi we got a first shock that the driver assigned by them wasn't told about our trip in detail. He was just asked to take us on uttarkhand trip. We were asked to pay for the fuel as his payment wasn't made, 2k was given to fill fuel. He wasn't clear about roads so it took around 13-14 hours to reach nainital.. After reaching nainital we were shocked to see our room.. They said it is a 3star hotel.. But the maintainence was cheaper than local hotels.. Hotel provided hot water only from 6:30-12 in the morning
            .. Bedspreads werent changed.. They were dirty.. After a tiff they changed the covers.. Then comes bathroom.. Where we can't close the door completely.. Then next day we had to hire a local taxi in spite of booking a package.. Because driver wasn't aware of the local sightseeing places... Apart from all this.. On 3rd day.. We were asked to pay 3k more for fuel... When we refused and had a great fight with the travel agent and yatra.. We got our money back.. The mental trauma we went through while travelling can't be compensated.. Yatra is a fraud and cheap travel agency... Never will i ever recommend yatra or ever will i travel... I recommend not to choose yatra.. I need a refund..

              Dear sir
              I saw volvo bus of new himalya agency before booking but after booking it changes to tata a/c bus, and after reaching bus to destination the bus service also changes which is nath travels where there is no a/c. When i complain to operator about this then he says talk to yatra sevice provider, it seems like they know yatra cannot bother about compalints towards agency. This kind of service you provide and with this kind of service you show yourself number 1 in india. I have all the proofs through photos from yatra booking page to bus pictures.

              Please take some action towards agency and return my money back as bus is non a/c. Else i will never book any ticket through yatra and also tell everyone of my friends to not book through yatra as you show something else and we get something else

              I had bought a ticket on yatra but I didn't register with Yatra then. I had booked the tickets without opening an Id. But, now I'm not able to cancel the tickets. I had also opened an Id on Yatra now but still am not able to cancel the tickets.

                Yatra hotel booking ids[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]

                After booking they shown their inability to provide the hotel as per the booking detail.
                Then they requested to book another hotel & promised to refund rs 2000 against each booking.
                Now they are just saying that amount has been refunded though it has not been credited to my account.
                I feel that yatra is just playing & not interested in paying the compensation amount.

                  I had booked single room for my friends who were travelling to rishikesh on 30th september for check-in for 1st october. When two of my female friends reached hotel, they denied check-in. They were like its yatra's fault and yatra was saying its hotel fault, in between this i was not getting any update from yatra customer care, they told me that i would be receiving call back, which i dint received.

                  When i called them 3rd time, they were like hotel is full and they sold inventory committed to us, so i requested to arrange room in some other hotel, but they were saying its full booked, and they cant do anything about it.

                  I never expected this from yatra, they didn't even bothered of security and safety of two women travelling and that too they denied at 8:00 pm in the evening and couldn't even arrange a single room in full rishikesh.

                  Even in there terms and condition they have stated that "your reservation is guaranteed for arrival on the confirmed check-in date only"

                  These people should be punished.

                    I'm very disappointed with your service team. Ive made in numerous attempts to get in touch with the team for one booking modification and there has been a very poor response from yatra team. No one is ready to help you with a crisis, even being a senior or supervisor. Every day i have been calling to get my booking done but they purposely drag it to the next day so that the airfare price increases and i have to pay extra. This is how they treat their customers which is nothing but a shame.

                    I wanted to re schedule my flight from mumbai to bangkok for that they charged me 2000 rs as airline fee and 1000 rs as yatra fee apart from the flight difference. On cross checking with the airlines it turns out they didnt have any penalty fee and i had to pay zero amount as no flight difference also. I cross questioned yatra then they said sorry it was an error which is wrong as they were purposely trying to con their customers. After that i have been constantly trying to get in touch with their team member who i spoke to regarding the rescheduling of my flight ever since the day but he refuses to come on line. Every day i call a new person answers and tells me a new price to way which is always higher the the amount first told. They are so inefficient that they still havent' resolved my issue where as clear trip does it for your instantly without charging a single rupee. Never book from yatra. They just want to con their customers and take extra money from them in every possible way after making the booking.

                      I booked international ticket on yatra site, to a great surprise it printed all random alphabets on the ticket. When asked to resolved, they asked extra money to correct it. Finally there floor supervisor chancal agreed to refund full amount as tickets are available at different travel portals at a much cheaper price. As initial tickets were more than 1 lacs, i also availed emi option.

                      Now, see the surprises and loot began, i was refunded only with partial amount despite agreement on recorded line. Secondly, they started emi and started charging interest. When i called my banker (As my credit card is from same bank) to discuss this, they informed all emi options are done by yatra only and if was want to cancel that emi you need to pay processing charges to yatra. There is no charges at there end as this transaction is credit excess utilized credit on the card.

                      So, no ticket but cancellation penalty and emi process issues and interest payments.

                      Last but not least, no ownership. How quickly they call people for payments, thereafter no support at all. Reference no.[protected]

                        Dear sir,

                        This is regarding a homestay booking reference no.[protected], from contact mob. [protected] at hyderabad, manar luxury suites from 29th to 2nd october.
                        Very regretfully i have to say that im being cheated by your website/ you people as i had booked a room for 3 adults n 2 kids but when i checked here at night 9:30 pm what i found that a small room being provided with a double bed only and there was no space at all to adjust a mattress even. And when i called yatra helpline, which you can check at your end, no. Of times they people told me that they are helpless and i have no option but to adjust. Also when i asked about cancelling or even partial cancellation again they shown their inability to help. I have few questions before posting all this to social networking sites and lodging complain under section 420 c :
                        1. When im specifically mentioning 3 adults and 2 children at the time of booking, and im also being charged accordingly, then am i not supposed to get proper accomodation.
                        2. Pictures of rooms and facilities provided uploaded on the website, which is the actual reference of booking, are they fake?
                        3. If helpline people are unable to provide any kind of help in need and even unable to advise whom to talk to in such pathetic situation, then for what purpose they are sitting over there?
                        4. For the same room, which i have booked through yatra, oyo is charging rs.980/- per night and people in hotel over counter are providing @ 1200/- per night and im being charged rs. 2000/- plus, then too im helpless at night with family and kids and not being provided adequate space to sleep. Sir isnt it a clear case of cheating in the city of cybetabad.

                        Then why one should book through your website?

                        Hope this mail will at least work and some responsible person from your side will reply.

                          I know that the booking has been confirmed by now, but i have called you guys within 5 minutes after the booking and you guys were just wasting my time as well as the passing the buck on others. If you guys were helpful, you could have helped me right away and thats what called the customer service, instead of that you guys have given me hardtime at around 2:00am my time.

                          I am flying out from toronto to mumbai and i wanted to book a domestic flight from mumbai to mangalore, so i ended up going to this website to book my domestic flight. I was trying to book a morning jet airways flight from mumbai to mangalore and when i saw the confirmation email from yatra, it was showing the evening flight has been booked for the same date (Booking ref# hjlqpc). So, immediately i have contacted yatra.com customer service, but instead of helping me with this situation, the guy was giving me a long list of penalties i have to pay to change the timing which was almost equal to the amount i have paid to book the flight. On top of that when i was calling from canada to india, the guys were keep putting my call on hold before giving me any answer which shows that the customer service members are not experienced and they are looking for answers from others to hook me up. When i went thru jet airways website, they are rescheduling the flight free of cost within 24 hours after the booking. I am a star alliance elite member with air canada and never had to go thru this kind of harrasment from them.
                          I will never go with these fraudsters again and i dont have any great expectation from them either.

                          Public, please be aware of these kind of situations if you have still decided to book with them.

                            I have booked a holiday package to andaman for the month of november from yatra. I have raised a service issue complaint many times and have also spoken to my assigned relation officer hemant. I have followed up many times both on calls and emails but have not received prompt response from the team.

                            At the time of booking the package, i was promised deluxe category of hotel in this package by the sales officer anil dhama.

                            However, after checking the images, reviews and feedback of hotel "the kingdom" in havelock island, it is understood that hotel does not belong to deluxe category.

                            I requested the operations team to kindly update the hotel accommodation at havelock to deluxe category (Symphony palm or similar) as promised.

                            I was categorically told by the sales representative that the property provided would be of deluxe category. I trusted the brand and did no check this before. It came under my notice when one of my colleague shared his experience of visit to andaman and advised me the category of hotel which "the kingdom" belongs to.

                            The package was aggreed both on deluxe category and on price quotation provided by sales representative. I have explained this situation to hemant and i am not getting any prompt response from him. Whenever i am trying to reach my relation officer hemant, he is not available and neither he is replying to my emails or providing a callback to confirm if any action is taken by the team

                            Since the booking was done in good faith, i presume you will be able to upgrade the hotel as promised. We will not entertain economy category of hotels in deluxe package.

                              I booked bus ticket for 28th september 17 of manjushree travels.
                              It was clearly written that if the ticket is cancelled "above 48 hrs from departure time" then i will get the 90% refund amount.
                              I paid around 1500 rs while booking but when today i. E. 26th sep 17, i cancelled the ticket i got a message saying that refund of around 750/- is initiated. I must get around 1350 rs after 10% deduction.

                              Please clarify this.

                              I am telling you this is last time i am booking on yatra.

                                I booked 2 tickets to san francisco from delhi. We paid more than a lakh amount to do our booking in advance.
                                As our flight was going via china, we asked them to check with internal visa team if we need the in transit visa or not.
                                Travel consultant (Miral) confirmed it is not needed and asked us to book the tickets. Post booking we checked with the china airlines and they said it is
                                Mandatory to take visa and yatra has given you wrong information (Without this visa immigration will stop you at the delhi airport). Post that we called to yatra (Terrible customer care numbers) and after
                                Asking them almost multiple times they said yes sir in transit visa is needed and it is our mistake. When we asked them how to resolve the same they said they will
                                Revert back as they have send the mail to visa team in 2 days. After 2 days they asked us to wait for 2 more days
                                (They will never send you any update via mail /message or call). There is no one who take the responsibility and
                                Every time you have to call to pathetic customer care and get connected to new agent. It is almost 7 days and no one is replying and just asking us to wait.
                                (As their visa team is not replying them). Pathetic customer care and supervisor (Mr akash), who took the reponsibility and just never updated on the same till date.
                                Please don't book any international flights as they will screw up your complete booking and finally make you to go around.

                                  With due respect, i want to bring to your notice that i have booked a ticket from newdelhi to kualalumpur and turn ticket. It cost me 80000 (I belong to working class/middle class family) who hardly plans a trip outside of india. But somehow when i was booking ticket at yatra site which i felt is not that good as mmt (I keep using it), i got a call from a advisor, who asked me few details and asked me to send the traveller details, i did so. He send me an acknowledgment to ask and go to. To which after checking all details of passenger but not the flight routes i said it looks fine. But it was booked
                                  Kualalumpur to newdelhi on 22nov
                                  New delhi to kualumpur on 29nov. He booked wrong flight and made it as roundtrip and now i am not able to change my date. No option we have to change detail. Agent from yatra is not taking any responsibility for his mistake. Please refund my money.

                                  Also no one is helping.

Now we have to book again return ticket which have much higher rate as before in which you waive off only rs. 20, 000 and we are still in loss of big amount. If this problem not happened from your side our trip complete in approx 80, 000 only but now we have pay total approx 1, 30000(after your waive off) . So still we are in loss of rs 50, 000 which is a big amount .Now you think is it a proper judgment from your side.

                                  What they did best for us. From the day we booked ticket on yatra we are facing only challenges due to that wrong booking ticket. Now we are not able to process visa for Malayasia as we have two ticket one is your wrong booking ticket which is a round trip IN WHICH ALREADY TWO DATES are given and other one which again booked on your suggestion for return from Kulalumpur to Delhi. So now how we upload these ticket for visa processing as now we have three date given in ticket. You guys just ruined my family trip and more than that it become more frustrating for us.It is one of big loss of my life and i feel guilty of booking flight on your site. Now either you process our visa for Malaysia or refund my whole money back .

Once a booking is confirmed changes and cancellation can be done as per the policy which is shared with customer before confirmation of the booking.                                       I booked my flight and return flight (Booking i'd[protected] from delhi to hong kong and back. I got the ticket but one of the seats is showing unconfirmed while going and also while coming back. When i checked at cathay pacific website they asked for eticket number which is not printed on the ticket sent to me by yatra. Also when i checke the seats on that flight, that one seat is still not occupied.
                                      On the airlines site, baggage allowance shown is 20 kg but in my ticket from yatra it is shown as 10 kg. Plus meal for my infant is also not booked

                                        Hello,
                                        This is to bring to your kind notice the amount of gst charged by your sales agents. I, along with my parents and my sister was a part of your "jewels of europe" package conducted on 25th of july to 8th of august. I had been given a quotation of rs 2, 29, 804 per person inclusive of 9 % gst. This amounts to rs 9, 19, 216 for the 4 o[censored]s. Out of this, an amount of rs 3, 90, 000 was paid before july. The remaining amount of rs. 5, 29, 216 (After a discount of rs 13000) was paid by cheque on july 17th. Now, as the gst was slashed to 5 % for all international tours, my question is why was i still charged at 9 % gst?? Isn't it a violation of the government guidelines for taxes?? When i asked your sales agent for a clarification regarding this issue, i suprisingly got no reply from him. I would here by like to claim the refund of extra 4 % gst charged per person. I would like to hear from you regarding the matter, or else i would have to approach the concerned authorities regarding this issue.
                                        I tried to reach yatra at [protected]@yatra.com, through your support system on your website. But your pathetic website does not register any complain. Neither the toll free phone number of [protected] is answered.
