I have been using tata photon wi fi max postpaid device for more than a year. I requested to port it to pre paid in the month of february 2016 on the day i paid my previous month's bill. attempt to activate my tata photon dongle failed since its usage way back in 2014. Airtel promised to give me a discount on the older (Tata photon or any) dongle for first 9 monthly bills.
I got my first bill on june 23rd, which is not one month yet & no discount was given. When questioned, the airtel nelamangala told me the amount to be paid is termed as "initial rental" & so no discount but disccount will come into picture from the actual billing cycle starting june 23rd for every month 23rd from june... been a customer of tata photon max wi fi duo bearing the number [protected] since march 2015. my experience with this connection in kolkata had been fine however while taking this connection i had repeatedly intimated the sales executive that my job requires frequent travelling and i would had the connection to be robust across and that was reason for me to choose this connection... I am using tata photon for last 3 years with an advance rental plan of 1 year with 6 gb monthly un-limited costing me rs 6000/- a year. When my subscription expired in march it was converted to monthly plan of rs-1093. I was not informed or received the call for the same. But previously 3 yrs i was getting a call on renew the account... Tata photon and its customer care service is very pathetic.
Never will recommend a person to go for tata photon connection. Would be taking up this issue legally if the complaint is not resolved. Been a week since i had complained.
Frustrated customer... I am using tata photon plus prepaid dongle (photon no [protected]) for quite some time. but on[protected] i recharged my account for 2. 5 gb (rs 465). but while working on 14th july the next internet was very slow. i gave up working thinking the server must be down. but today also there was no connection... We had to go towards tata photon plus which is much better than yours. I am going to complaint to the telecom ministry. You are showing 4g ads all over india 4g-open. However your service is pathetic. Already we have many landline connections. We shifted from mtnl to airtel-aleady we are inbound tour operator... So i am not satisfied with tata photon plus services. Compare to tata services other services getting good approach to me.
Could you please sent me status of the issue... I had requested Tata photon to put my number on hold for 3 months over phone, the CSR confirmed at that time that it will be done. But later they billed for the month that I had asked for being put on hold and when I called to clarify the girl who spoke to me was very rude to me and when I said that if this is the kind of service I am going to get, i should rather get the connection cancelled; on that she said, "its your choice"... entire mail using my TATA PHOTON +. every evening tata photon sends a message indicating usage details of the amount of data consumed during that day. I have observed that the data sent by tata photon is misleading- in terms of bloated usage figures.

I have been paying for my tata photon regularly for last two years just to keep the account active. However due to extringencies of my job i have not been able to use my tataphoton for last two years. I had applied for blocking my tata photon however at that time customer care centre had called me up to not to stop the service rather pay minimal amount to keep the account active... internet services (Bsnl, tata photon) for more than 6 years and have never exceeded the limit of 20gb on an average in a month. We've escalated this issue verbally to mr. Natarajan the area manager but no action has been taken so far. If this continues i will not be paying the bill, no matter what the amount... reference to captioned tata photon no. , i would like to inform you i need to discontinue this service with immediate effect due to poor service of internet facility.
Requesting you to do the needful and confirm me the amount, finally i need to pay close it.
Will appreciate your quick resolution in this regard... The Tata Photon service is so bad that often it gets disconnected and there is no network connectivity at all. The ads are very much attractive to the customers but when it comes to service, there is not much to offer. Most of the time there is low connectivity which affects my work very much... Very worst experience with this data card. In the starting they said that u will get a very good speed but that's all fake commitment.
My plan is of 750 Rs and in this plan i get 5 GB Data of higher speed and then normal speed.

I got the connection disconnected 31 march 2015 on which i asked the customer care representative that if there are any extra charges and i will not have to pay anything after that, the representative confirmed it...
