My parents boarded air india flight on 15 jan 2019 from imphal.
Both my mom and dad were travelling to see the doctor at patna.
My mom is a patient and had not fully recovered from bone surgery which was done last year and she was advised to travel on flight by doctor, they had all the prescriptions with them, however still the staffs members didn't provide them the support which was expected from such a reputed airline.
My parents were struggling to travel onbarding with stairs. However wheel chair was not provided.
If anything had happened to my mom who would have taken responsibility for that???
As she cant travel by train, that the reason we opted for flights by paying high money for that, but still the this services we got was not as expected.

Staff members not taking care of seniors citizen especially when one of them is physically disable is so heart breaking. They should be sensible enough to understand the passengers need and want seeing their physically disability.

Its such a shame seeing the unprofessional attitude of staff members
In reputed airlines like air india. Would never like to travel nor will recommended it.

    Dear Sir

Flight AI 113 Sunday 5th August 2018 – Delhi to Birmingham

I write to claim compensation for the unacceptable delay of over 4 hours following the rerouting of the above-mentioned flight via Copenhagen. I enclose copies of our tickets.

My husband and I had flown on a connecting flight from Colombo (AI282) and at no time were we advised of the extension to the onward flight, I did not receive a text message from Air India and neither were we advised of the detour at check in at either Colombo or Delhi. In compliance with your regulations my mobile phone was switched off, but I did find an email sent to my outlook address when I finally got home – copied below.

Thank you for choosing Air India.

    Regards,
    Arvind P.
    AI Customer Care.
The entirely unacceptable sequence of events was as follows:
    1. No information regarding the rescheduling of the flight provided by any Air India representative.
    2. Boarding for A113 took place on time but we were held up and approximately 45 mins later 4/5 uniformed Air India staff (pilots and engineers) joined the flight.
    3. No explanation for the delay was given and the flight took off 1 hour late.
    4. The PA system from the flight deck was virtually ineffective and after take-off all we could hear was that the flight time to destination would be 7hours 25 minutes.
    5. The first time the passengers were made aware of the rerouting was when the captain announced that we would be landing in ten minutes time at Copenhagen – there was no explanation and the majority of passengers thought it was an emergency landing.
    6. The 4/5 Air India flight crew left the flight – their seats vacated, and no other passengers alighted the flight.
    7. The passengers were given no information as to what happening and finally we were advised that we would be leaving as soon as possible – no apology was offered.
    8. Ground staff officials were continually walking through the aircraft and concern mounted for the passengers well being but still no announcement from the Flight deck.
    9. We had landed at Copenhagen Airport at approximately 16.45 and finally there was an announcement at approximately 19.30 advising that we would be leaving shortly but the plane did not taxi until approximately 20.45 finally taking off at 20.50. (The Air India flight officials did not return for the remaining flight to Birmingham)
    10. Whilst on the ground at Copenhagen we did witness engineering activity taking place on the flight deck and was advised that it was nothing serious and could have been done at any time, which leaves us to question why it was being undertaken at that time.
    11. We finally landed at Birmingham at approximately 22.15 (UK time)

The cabin crew were somewhat reluctant to answer any of our question but one stewardess did explain that the plane had been rerouted to drop of a crew and engineer to attend to a plane that had been grounded at Copenhagen Airport so Air India is responsible for considerably inconveniencing it’s fare paying passengers which is totally unacceptable. In line with Civil Aviation Authority guide lines we challenge that the delay to the flight was unreasonable and claim full compensation.

In addition to the extreme inconvenience we also incurred international telephone charges having had to make a number of telephone calls on my mobile phone to the UK (which can be verified) and pay an additional £30 to the taxi company who had arrived to collect us from the Airport. To add insult to injury I requested a toiletry bag and was advised that they were not being given out on the flight – there were inadequate supplies of toiletries in the toilets and no disposable tooth brushes and did the airline really expect passengers to share mouthwash direct from the bottle as no paper cups were available?

All in all we are totally dissatisfied with our first and last flight on Air India and expect this request to receive your full and immediate attention. It is hard to understand that how, in this age of sophisticated communication Air India could be so lackadaisical and disrespectful of their fare paying passengers.

Whilst writing I would also point out that we were dissatisfied with the communications that we received from Air India during our outward flight on 21st July A118 from Birmingham Airport to Delhi. It was only at the Airport that we discovered that we would be flying via Amritsar which delayed our arrival in Delhi which in turn prohibited us from taking advantage of the Air Line Lounge facility and any Duty-Free shopping that we had planned.

We expect an immediate reply and would advise you that we have copied this letter via Email to your head office in India. We demand a completely satisfactory refund and will be prepared to take the matter forward if this is not forthcoming.

    Yours faithfully

    Mrs B J Parish
I have on numerous occasion chased the complaint via email only to be told that the matter is being dealt with and I am extremely dissatisfied with the bland responses.

I had booked a return air ticket for air india which was marketed as a direct return flight from mumbai to new york (Jfk airport).
But this flight is actually via new delhi and involves a complete change of planes and security check. So in short a flight that they sold as a non stop flight was actually a one stop flight.

I did not realize it was a stop flight until i got in the plane.
I think this is cheating on their behalf

It is clearly seen from the unknown itinerary that the reservation involved the change of flights.
Otherwise, the author is required to own and to present the full travel related receipts - e-ticket, which had been originally issued.
it is unclear, how the posisble change of flights affected the travel for the passenger.

I asked them for help as after that I had to catch my next go air flight on same day scheduled at 1:25 pm which I was denied to board due to late reporting which made me a loss of RS 10000. My nephew also suffered as he was ill and I was having appointment with a doctor...because of this I couldn't reach there on time...they didn't responded properly on asking the reason for the delay...I have done all my payments using credit card...I m mentally pressurised with all this...

I recently travelled in air india flight from delhi to srinagar, flight number ai827 on 8 january 2019, when a 5 litre bottle of zam'zam' was not present during the process of collecting the stuff i was carrying. I contacted and confirmed at the respective counter of air india who assured me about the missing item (Zam zam) but i haven't been contacted by your office yet. Please get back to me as soon as possible as the item missing is far valuable for me.
                  Regards: nassir ahmad dar

Sir my booking reference number is y6lxy with air india on 28 dec 2018 for me with my family (Total 04 members). I reported at kolkata (Ccu) airport with in time and approached air india counter for boarding tickets, but pass is not provided to me stating that flight is over boarded. I showed my confirm booking but authorities not allowed to board me in on the plane. They stuck me at the airport from 0500hrs. To 1300 hrs. At the airport. I was mentally harrassed by authorities, i missed my portblair trip which was planned with my family for winter vacation. My further journey and bookings were washed out. The air india authorities misbehaved with me gave me too much mental pressure due to that i got health issues. They arrange me next day flight on 29 dec. It was my horrible experience with the authorities and air india. Please do the proper action against on duty staff on that day and do favourable action to me as me and my family became victim for their offences.
                    Thanking you.,.

Umme Hunnain : such type of text has no grounds as no any document is seen issued in yor name.
Air India carrier does not send job invitatios to anonymous user and do not ask to pay for emplyment.
Otherwise, the emlyeer must pay for employee job.
Such type of messages, as desribed above, is a casual fraud from 3rd party al over India.

If the passenger lost the document related to travel, such passenger can not claim the duplicate of lost boarding pass. Similarly, if a man lost money, nobody has to issue the duplicate.

The air carrier can issue the confirmation that the particular passenger was at their exact flight,
if the claim is submitted at the air carrier site by the passenger.

The flight departed nearly about 10.00pm and reached HYD after 12.00 i.e on next day 07.01.2019. What is the use of purchasing flight tickets in evening when night flights are available at cheaper rates. Why the intimation was served so late when you are suppose to report 2 hours before departure of the flight. Who is responsible for my harassment and upsetting my programme . I want a token fine of Rs. 1000.00 for my harassment.

I have been calling and email air india team every single day about my miles which have not been updated on my accounts. I have to book my flights and miles have not been updated yet

I have tried claiming miles from a previous trip taken on february 20, 2018 (E-ticket attached)

                              Delhi - mumbai (L class)

I have tried to claim the miles for this flight but for some reason i have received lesser miles than i should have received. On this sector and in this flight class, i should have received 944 miles but instead i only received 544 miles. I am not sure about the reason for this discrepancy but will appreciate if you can promptly update the remaining 400 miles so i can proceed with finalizing my future travel plans.

Please refer the link for correct mile (944) that should have been uploaded.

                                Hi,

My flight from mangalore to mumbai was delayed and as a result of which i called the air india call center to reschedule my connecting flight from mumbai to aurangabad.

After a lot of arguments, they where finally ready to cancel my ticket (Only one sector, thats what was told to me). I was told that i would receive the money back as the delay in the flight was not my mistake. Its been more than a week and i have not received any confirmation mail nor is my money credited.

I want to let you know the extreme conditions we had to face due to the last minute flight delays and last minute communications. The least i could expect is my money to be credited.

                                E ticket no: 098-[protected], 098-[protected]

Looking forward to the credit and confirmation mail at the earliest.

                                Regards,

I had booked an airindia ticket from chandigarh to delhi (Ai464) on 24th dec. Eticket ref no[protected]c1 and pnr no zbqbk (Ai). Boarding pass was issued but there was no notification regarding the flight delay. Since i had an international flight to catch from delhi, i had no other option but to cancel this ticket and book another airline ticket (Last minute).

Ticket cancellation request was accepted by the check in staff and told me that refund will be processed. However till date there is no refund.in addition to the above, i have sent 3 different emails to air india cust care and called them twice from my international number.

Despite the schedule delay in flight departure, there was no advance notification by the airline and that resulted into lots of inconvenience, uncertainty and frustration among the passengers. Had i not booked another flight at the last minute, i would have definitely missed my international flight. From a customer point of view, this is a major customer dissatisfaction point.

it is not the complaint but gossips of the author as

                                  - no AI PNR ZBQBK
                                  - no receipt, if any
                                  - no written full complaint of author towards air carrier
                                  are attached .

To chack the validity of the written complaint of passenger for the possible compensation or for the refund is a duty of the air carrir within 15 days.

In 15 days, if you are not satisfied, you can hire a legal professional for civil aviation matters or a lawyer for charge/fee, who can advise the possible outcome or future acts, based on your attached documents.

So keep each document (eticket/ receipts / invoices / your complaint / eny reply) for 6 moths untill you ll be reday to pay for legal servcies (from 5000 ruppes for such tpe of cases) and government fees (from 200 or from 2000 rupees) + own efforts.

I booked a ticket from bhopal to mumbai on 28 dec 2018. The booking id is yt920. The amount for this booking was debited but ticket not booked. I immediately called customer care and they told me to mail [protected]@airindia.in for refund. On 29th dec i mailed to [protected]@airindia.in for refund and got a machine mail of acknowledgement that they have received the mail and i will be contacted soon. Five days have been passed but i have no information about refund. I called the customer care again and they made me helpless by saying that we can't do anything you need to contact [protected]@airindia.in only for refund.
I am very much disappointed. Kindly refund the amount 10722 inr for three passengers immediately or i will be compelled for taking legal action against air india.

                                      Regarding the delay of ai508.
The flight initially timing was to depart from mumbai at 15.35 that's the reason we chose this airline so that my son could reach his college latest by 19.00.
We got a message at 11 in the morning that the flight is delayed and now will depart at 18.35. It is so convenient for ai to send the message without realizing what agony the passenger would go through. My son was traveling alone and he had to reach his campus before 20.00.
Even after reaching the airport on as per the new timings there was a further delay and no information was given to the passengers as to when the flight would take off. Air india very well knew that they will not take off at 18.35 as the incoming flight had not arrived.
The passengers were made to wait and finally the flight took off at 20.35 from mumbai. There was no meal given.
Since my son was traveling alone to iit dharwad campus i had to arrange a special car to pick him as it is very difficult to get transportation to remote locations in the night at 22.00

I am asking air india for the full refund of my ticket fare a the compensation for the mental agony i had to face for 8 hours yesterday.

I want a justifiable resolution to this in the limited time frame.
