Dear sir / madam

Greetings!

This is to bring to your kind notice that on december 04, 2017, i travelled on flight no ai 656 from mumbai to rajkot and while check in my two baggage which was weighed around 25 kgs. Being a heart patient i came to mumbai for medical check up and i requested the front desk officer that it will be difficult for me to carry the hand bag so if it is possible to keep along with my above two baggage. She replied there is no issue and on the spot gave me the tag. Later after the process of check-in and before issuing the boarding pass, she told me to pay rs.4200/- i narrated my whole story and the reason of my travel and even told her that i don’t require to pay but she was insisting me to pay. Alternatively i told that i will carry my hand bag to which she replied that it has already been send to baggage loading counter and hence it cannot be recollected and if i fail to pay the charges then boarding pass wont be issued. Then again i went to front desk officer and by mean time she has left for the day. Later nobody was ready to listen my plea and as having no option i reluctantly paid the charges through my credit card.

Earlier the as per thumb rule, maximum airline can charge 1% of air ticket towards excess baggage charges and now were in the world it is charged more than 1% of fare. We have lodged the complaint in your vigilance department.

    Dear officer in charge,

    Greetings.
    On nov 29, 2017 i flew in from sydney and my baggage was booked till nagpur. I was told that i will have to collect my baggage at delhi airport and after going through the customs it will be taken by transfer section. I landed at delhi airport at about 7 pm on nov 29th and my connecting flight for nagpur was at 5.30 am on nov 30, 2017. The transfer baggage section refused to take my baggage and i had to sit with it until 2.30 am when the air india counters opened.in the meantime i was sent and tossed around like a ping pong ball to person to person. I must have talked to at least six different people and it was useless. To add salt to the injury, the staff in the morning shift told me that the baggage section should have taken my baggage since it had the transfer tag on it.

    I am not sure you can or will do anything about it now except saying sorry for the inconvenience but i am worried about my mother who will taking the same flight from sydney. She is 85 years old and a wheel chair person. What will be her plight? Will she have to sit with her baggage in the airport like me?

    My air india complaint number is 9994 in their book at new delhi airport and dated nov 30, 2017. After registering my complaint. I was told that i will hear from within a week and so far no word from any air india official. Am i supposed to take it for granted that this is common?

      I took the above flight at a cost of £880 on saturday 9th december.
      I appreciate that the flight was full.
      However i was repeatedly asked to move my seat by other passengers in order to accommodate their own needs - despite me specifically asking for that seat.

      After setting in my seat (14d) i was then faced with a 9 hour flight with-

      1. No in flight entertainment working at all

      2. A seat that was broken and would not adjust at all

      This is extremely poor and having taken the flight to attend urgent meetings i was faced with no sleep nor entertainment on board the flight!

      I am demanding that you compensate me for this inconvenience and stress that you have caused me.

      I return to the uk on your flight at 2 am on thursday 14th december and would look for an upgrade at the very least!

        I had have 1st november 2017 ai908-mut to maa then 2nd november 2017 ai9557 maa to trz. I came muscat air port to air india counter at 21.52pm reported. There i met mr. Sandaran-air india manager, and i requested to him process my ticket at the air india counter in the muscat air port. He refused and misdeed, rude ill - mannered word while on taking. At that time he did open board pass issued for other passenger, for me he refused. At that time i explained to him, i came 875 km to muscat; please help to issued boarding pass for me. He was never attention& he was doing misrepresentation deliberately.
        One day i waste my vacation days and stayed hotel in muscat and next day my ticket date changed fare was omr41 i paid. Again 2st november 2017 fly air india.
        I am flying every 28 days in air india. He knew me and i am a friend previous manger mr. Prabhkaran he handling smooth in muscat operation. After got mr. Sandaran is in - charge, of air port operation in muscat. Mr. Sandaran is doing me every time rude and disobeys. I am always disappointed with him. (I have seen in the air port his approaching to some other passenger also doing rude behavior.) in this situation his misbehavior continues, and then i decided using air lank also, because of mr. Sandaran. My friends are advice me come to fly air india. Then i change again air india. This time also mr. Sandaran created problem and stop me.
        I am requesting to you please stop his misbehavior and advice or giving passenger handing training. Otherwise i need to change other air lines. Kindly refer my tickets.

          Dear sir, i mr. Veerendra kumar verma has booked a flight from delhi to shillong via kolkata (Ticket no. 098-[protected]) and date of journey is 10.12.2017. Due to cancellation of flight from kolkata to shillong the ai counter delhi has booked direct flight from delhi to guwahati (Ai-889) without providing transport from guwahati to shillong. Earlier ai were providing the transport facilities on cancellation but now despite repeated request they denied and said to take the refund and go by any other airlines. Sir, being a govt servent it is mandatory for us to travel by ai. Now i have to pay rs.2000 for the journey from guwahati to shillong.in this regard, it is requested to you to kindly look into it.

            I have travelled from bangalore to stockholm on 06-dec-2017. On arrival at stockholm, i found that one of my baggage is missing. I have registered a complaint with sas baggage service in arlanda airport, stockholm. File reference number is arnai10052/06dec17/1759gmt.
            Sas baggage service told us to check with air india as they have not received any details/updates from air india. Air india says that bag was dispatched on the same flight on which i have travelled. Nobody is taking the responsibility to search the same.
            Air india & sas baggage service are not providing any info on the missing bag or compensation.
            Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
            Its been 80th day since airindia lost my baggage.
            Ref#: ARNAI10052/06dec17/1759gmt. I ve given the compensation form filled to Sangeeta Sanyal on 02-Feb. How many days u guys need for processing?
            No response/update from any Airindia employee. Pathetic service.

              I booked a ticket for 9th dec with air india for mumbai to india which i wanted to reschedule for 10 feb we called air india on 5 dec at 23:20 hours, their official informed that ticket can be cancelled or rescheduled before 24 hours. My pnr no. Is he7jt
              Wen we called again for rescheduling a day prior on 7th dec around 23 hours, another official confirmed.. It cannot be done as 72 hours already gone and he told he will ask concerned team to call back on 8 the morning between 7 to 8 am and no call received from them.
              Now we are following up with them but they have a standard reply that they can't do it. They are not taking the responsibility of words of their official even.

                It's being second time in a row that baggage is gone missing and to cap it all; the rude manager and # staff at delhi airport refused to entertain the complaint. We've booked 50 flights from aus to del last year and with good-looking further subscriptions for 2018 season, we already would have expected a better service. Even the rubbish supervisor who first put my hold on 15 minutes and then said manager would not come to phone. This was a complete utter non sense.
                They still could not find the bag and making lame excuses.
                It's most obvious they're the worst thing in the world and bolt on india

                  I tried to make a booking online today morning for a flight from bangalore to mumbai.in just a matter of minutes the website kept hanging up and i kept retrying to get my booking through. Now i have multiple charges on my ticket which is very exorbitant. I would like someone to look into the issue and help me get a refund.

                    I had chose to fly with air india for the first time in my life. And i guess that was the biggest mistake i committed in my life. Its was 5:23 hr when i got to the counter for my boarding pass and they straight away denied to give me the boarding pass. I told them that i was coming from chandigarh as i went there for official work and prior in the evening i got to know that my grandmother expired, so i booked my ticket at 7:59 pm on 01/12/2017 i. E. Friday and got my ticket booked for 1st flight in the morning to bhopal at 5:55 am on 02/12/2017 i. E. Saturday as everyone one was waiting there for me to arrive to start with the funeral.

                    The staff from the air india wear so ruthless they dint even bother to listen to me for once they said you are late and will not allow you to take the flight. I had already explained them the whole scenario. Still they dint consider. I literary begged them to allow me it is important, but they wear so stubborn that they din't even consider the situation i was going through. On top of it they are not even giving back my fare for the ticket that i have spend for the ticket.

                    I guess this is how government company works for their citizens. I would never prefer to travel by air india in my lifetime again. Indigo, spicejet, etc.. Being private flyways they value the customer more than the government company does. I would rather go with the private flyways company from now on. I am very disappointed with the services of air india being a government company.

                    My only complaint is to get back my fare for the ticket that i have paid for no reason as they dint allow me to board the flight. I had paid 4771 rupees for the flight and want my money back.

                    Kindly go through the complaint on an urgent basis. And do the best possible regarding my complaint!

                      Even though i have run out of my patience to speak in a befitting manner, i still have my dignity left unlike your airlines. Your prestige and false pretence is rather a perfect image of whats wrong in civil aviation sector. I am a government official who despite running into lot of horrible experiences with your proud airlines in the past still hoped for a better hospitality from your airlines because of your position as a government official friendly airlines. But your airlines again mercilessly proved me wrong and made my experience even more horrible than i expected out of your "falsely claimed" prestigious airlines.

                      On 3rd dec i boarded ai075 for bhubaneshwar at 11pm. I honestly admit my mistake for putting in a power bank in my check in baggage because of which it got detained at delhi airport.

                      I am writing this grievance on 4th december sitting in bhubaneshwar without my baggage. I was assured by your security staff that i will get my baggage by next flight after they got the authority signed from me. I have also humbly offered if i get down, clear my baggage and come by next flight but i was again assured by your staff that my baggage will definitely arrive at bhubaneshwar by next flight. It did not. I had to stay in bhubaneswar for one whole extra day upsetting my travel itenary which costed not only me but govt of india which is paying the expense of my travel. Its exactly 24 hours after which i am writing this. I have following issues to complaint :-

                      1. Why was i promised falsely that my baggage will be there in next flight by your airline staff when it was actually in control of airport security? Was there actually a need of being a midwife?

                      2. Why was i not briefed about the fact that i have to email my boarding pass, pri form and id proof to your email id debag. [protected]@airindia.in as soon as the power bank was found in my luggage?

                      3. Why even after sending all documents to your office at delhi at 10pm at night, there was no action till 12 noon on 4th dec?

                      4. Why would the helpline number [protected] call representatives falsely promised that my luggage has been kept in ai 473 on 3rd dec when it was not?

                      5. Why no answers were made when i incessantly called [protected], [protected], [protected] from 0930am to 11pm on 04th december? They are still not receiving any phone call on these numbers.

                      6. Why the seriousness of the issue not briefed to me properly so that i could take a conscious decision at the time the matter was reported to me?

                      7. Lastly, where is my bag and when will it come? I am tired of calling and emailing.

                      Description : power bank found in my check in baggage while onboard flight from delhi to bhubaneshwar. I have apologised for the inconvenience caused to airlines. I offered if i get down and take next flight but was assured that it is not required. Inspite of the assurances, no action taken and the baggage has still not reached bhubaneshwar airport. I have emailed pir copy, id proof, boarding pass copy and authority letter at 10pm 3 dec and 10am 4 dec, but still no action taken.

                      Desirable solution : your airlines has caused me serious official, financial and personal loss by not keeping up the assurance your staff offered me at delhi airport. There is no solution to this problem because that is not the problem. The problem is that your airlines is not bothered about customers, so why would you take an action on it? If your airlines genuinely wanted to help, you would have. Its not a herculean task to take out a power bank from a baggage after the owner has given full responsibility to the airlines and accepted the mistake on his part. It honestly shouldn't take 24 hours. But, since your staff said minimum 24 hours, i am writing this complaint exactly after the passage of 24 hours.

                      I honestly can think of only one solution to it. Please handover my baggage to me and i strictly forbid myself to fly with airindia from now on.

                      Congratulations on losing another customer because of your incapable, incompassionate and heartless dealing with a customer grievance.

                      Please also brief and educate your staff on how to handle situation like these. They were as clueless as i was. Your staff could have briefed me about the documents to be produced for the clearance of the baggage from security. Please also ask your tele operators to pick up the calls made on the helpline numbers.

                        I want to report an incident where i left my jacket in the plane and was given wrong information by your staff, because of which i had to pay to take my jacket back.
                        Details of the incident are as below and the mentioned employees were responsible: -
                        Ms. Kamini (On duty at night of 30th nov'2017) gave me wrong information that i could collect my jacket next day and their team member would come out of the airport at gate no. 8 to deliver, i just need to call a phone number… however when i reached at the airport and called the provided phone number the staff said we need to pay inr 300 and collection of jacket will take one hour. The representatives mr. Shivam sharma, mr. Yogesh kumar, ms. Meenakshi sharma (On duty at 1st dec’2017 evening) were rude and harassed me stating that if you don’t pay the charges then they will not return the jacket and said that you can do whatever you want to, we will not help you.
                        I explained them that ms. Kamini confirmed that the jacket has been found by the security staff and she confirmed that air india representative shall come out to deliver the jacket and we need to simply call the phone number given by her. But your staff simply ignored my request and did not help at all. They were very rude and said we cannot help you, you can go and complaint to anyone.
                        After this my husband shouted at your staff that you are trying to cheat us, because it was your employee who gave wrong information to us then why we should be penalized.in return your staff said that if someone from our side gave you wrong information then “usko faansi thodi laga denge” my point here is that if your staff is not giving correct information then why we as a customer being penalized it is not a matter of 300 rupees its matter of ethics.
                        When my husband was arguing with your staff about this, ms. Meenakshi sharma said “aapko jisko complaint karni hai kar lo, hum kuch nahi karenge agar aapko jacket chahiye toh pehle 300 rupees dijiye”
                        Air india does not bother about their customers and they try to threaten the customers like this.
                        I need a resolution to above problem and strict action to be taken to above mentioned names along with refund of 300 rupees from air-india, else i will go to consumer court.

                          I was travelling from kolkata to mumbai on 03 dec 17. As per my boarding pass the gate no. Mentioned was gate no. 23 e. I reached gate no. 23 e well before time around 1550 and the scheduled departure was at 1650. After reaching where i was told that gate no. Has changed to gate no. 15. Which was totally the other end. The announcement was also being made for same. And the departure schedule also showed gate no. 15. I went all the way back to gate no. 15. I reached there waited for some time till 1615. But i could not see any boarding taking place so i asked the security person. He told me the gate no. Has again changed to gate no. 23 e. I'm 6 months pregnant. I had to rush back all the way back to gate no. 23 e. They should understand and make the right decision because it's feasible for everyone to rush as per there whims and fancies. Specially pregnant ladies like me and people with medical condition, it causes lot of inconvenience. Kindly look into the matter

                            I, jaspal singh aged 65 yrs, senior citizen not feeling well was to board air india flight no. Ai-678 attached - airindia e-ticket#[protected] dt.27/11/17 at 9 am the cost incurred was rs.3390/-.
                            I was not well, still i reached airindia counter 45 minutes before departure.
                            The helpdesk people rushed me to the counter & also shouted to the concerned officer that mumbai passenger is here & counter row is open/closed, which they replied counter is open, send the passenger. But when i gave them my ticket for boarding pass, they kept it with them for about 5 minutes & later on they returned the ticket & said you are late by 6 minutes, which is mentioned on my ticket by them, now the counter is closed.
                            I went pillar to post with a request to permit me to board this flight, but air india senior staff were also adamant & rude with me, refused & told that they cannot do anything.
                            I made several requests for helping me to board the flight as i was on time & counter was not closed as they already confirmed this to the helpdesk staff, which may be all clear in the cctv footage at the airport.
                            I was to travel for a very important meeting at mumbai, which i could not afford to miss.
                            Now that i have missed this very important meeting today i. E 1.30pm at mumbai, this has made me suffer a huge loss of more than rupees 10 lakhs & i had also to immediately buy another ticket for evening flight of airindia to mumbai attached - airindia flight no. A1 102 e-ticket#[protected] dt.27/11/17 at 5 pm costing rs.7905/-, where i was refused for senior citizen discount as this ticket was not booked 7 days in advance.
                            I call upon air india to pay me double the airfares of both the flights amounting to rs.22590/- & also damages for the harrassment, time & business loss, which is due to the high headedness & misbehaviour of air india with a senior citizen, which was intentionally & deliberately done by them to extract money, which is very bad practice against the law of humanity & legally.

                            Now that if i don't hear soon from you, i shall take legal action against air india & also i shall have to approach all media for this misbehaviour & harrassment done by air india with passengers (Senior citizens), which will be at air india cost & consequences thereafter.

                            Hoping for a prompt refund & damages asap..

                                We have travelled from delhi to aurangabad on 28th nov. With 6 baggages. Flight no. 441
                                We reached aurangabad at night.
                                When we reached home we found one baggage was damaged.
                                Next day morning we informed to your call centre & they advised to contact airport, spoke to person & also visited airport but they are refusing to accept the claim as we did not inform during arrival.

                                Please note that since there were 6 baggages we colud not see the damage. Since the damage & complaint is genuine we request you to accept our claim.

                                  My flight was from gwalior to delhi and then to patna on 29.11.17. Flight at gwalior cancelled after boarding. We with my two family members again take the next day 30.11.17, flight from gwalior to delhi, from where our connecting flight was ai 409 which was delayed by about one hours. When we reached at patna we were informed that our luggage were coming with next flight. Because of all this issues we were not able to attend a reception at our hometown gopalganj.
                                  I have three complaints:
                                  I) why flight at gwalior cancelled after boarding, inefficient and completely ineffective air india to advise me in details.
                                  Ii) why, our luggage couldn't taken by ai 409 itself
                                  Iii) how air india will compensate the mental agony my family has faced as there were not able to attend the function
                                  Air india to take up the staff responsible for their deriliction and for the mental harassment bestowed to me and my family

                                    I tried to book air india to and fro tickets ai729 and ai775 for ms pushpa karakoti and mr. Manoj singh gariya from kolkata to guwahati on 27/11/2017 but due to some error it was not successful. But an amount of rs. 27485/- was deducted from my account which i have not got back till now.

                                      My name is rohit mehta i booked a flight of air india from indore to mumbai on date 29th november my flight no is a19627 and the timing of the flight was 12:15 ironically. I have been continuously getting message of the delayed flight from 28th morning first it was delayed for 40mins and than i got a call that the final time of the flight is 1:20 pm. I reached the boarding counter at exact 12:39pm i mean i m hardly late with few minutes. The woman behind the counter said that now it's shut i even dont have luggage to carry just a hand bag. They said they announce that they are closing the counter which they didn't. You can check in your details how many passenger have missed this flight as they were just 5mins late. If your flight can get delayed for an hour can't u consider a 5min late passenger that to even without luggage. I booked this flight for 5000rs and i wanted to visit my grand mother who was in hospital. That is a not a how you treat your customer and being air india the airlines who represents india all over the world. This is not done. I will tweet this and make it

                                        My case is as under:
                                        Air india which claims to provide senior citizen concession, for the domestic sector had charged me, a senior citizen, rs 7, 485/-for a coimbatore-mumbai ticket; whereas the normal adult fare is only rs 6, 671/-. When i pointed out this gross anomaly i was given a very confusing reply which did not address the problem at all.
                                        Instead of extending senior citizen concession to me, air india has overcharged me by rs. 814/-
                                        Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
