baggage damage

Was traveling from kolkata delh dehradun on 19th nov 2017 on air india flight no. 9i 609. On arriving at dehradun, i found my luggage was heavily damaged beyond any repair. When i approached the air india local office at the airport, they verified the luggage and issued a damage baggage report and said that since it is a very small airport, they can only issue the dbr but i need to claim against the damaged only in the bigger airport...

From, pabba vijayalakshmi, visakhapatanam. Andhrapradesh, flight no a1 112. Etk:[protected]c1, origin london - destination visakhapatnam airport. Ihave trust air india and l will get justice. My checked in luggage did not arrive in time and latter when it’s return its damage and locked missing. And some items inside where damage. Mainly the handle was broken in a such way that ican’t carry. Then i complain to the concer incharge mr. Jeevan garu there. Mr. Jeevan has taken the complain and also with many photographers and given acknowledgement for the complaint. The baggage which was damage was not belongs to me it’s someother one. So i sincerely request you sir to repair my luggage. Looking forward to your prompt action against my issue. Ineed my baggage should repair.

    I have a complaint against air india airline that they have not allowed me to board the flight & reason by them was i am not on time to board??? I ask air india what is the time to board the flight 30-45 minutes prior?? I reached airport before 60 minutes from takeoff time flight time 6.10 am i reached 5.10 am, so what was the correct reason to not allow me in the flight? I was not only one their who was denied to take the flight near about 6-7 passenger were not allowed to board. Does air india trying to steal the money of common man?? Or they think this is very easy way as common man cant do any thing against them, also i tried to submit the complaint on air india feedback panel but guess what i got?? Server error wow just as expected proof attached.

    It's all about trust, loyalty, we common man have in over system that we will get the justice, but every time we are crushed by different different type of things in our system by big big companies because common man doesn't have their roots in political system or they just don't want to get into it, so he leave things like this & say inside him let it be, but till what time?? I am here not because i lost money but also i need justice on this there are many many small matter of same category but no solution so far from any one, i ask today just check & search you will find so many matter from all air lines on internet every one is screaming, shouting to get justice but till date there is no hearing why?? Till how long this will be repeated???

    I need my full money back with the charges of my hotel stay as i have to stay today in delhi just because air india airline, also this is not only the loss i am bearing i have a meeting with my client who comes from b'lore in my factory today which i am not able to attend just because of air india.

    I am attaching the detail to proof my self correct even i have another passenger complaint copy too.. Find attachment..

      My parents (Father 82+ years old and mother 71 suffering from dementia) were scheduled to fly air india flight ai 0020 on november 16 at 1425 hrs from delhi to kolkata (Yedr 8 and yedr 9) but my father suffered a grievous fall and had to be taken to medanta hospital at the igi airport where he underwent five stitches over the left eyebrow and the doctor didn't allow him to travel as a result.
      When i went to see him on being informed at 4 pm ai staff asked me to provide a date within the next 7 days for them to give another passage without any extra payment. I requested that since the doctor had advised the stitches be removed in 12 to 15 days' time to kindly consider his age and both my parents condition and give a passage after that date, that is in early december. The shift manager speaking through his juniors refused to give in. I left with my parents on the assurance that they are discussing the case and a remedy will be found.
      It has been 9 days since then, and nothing has been done. I have been running from pillar to post to find a solution. I was told that i have to go to safdarjung airport to do the needful. On reaching there i was informed that i have to pay around rs 10, 000 more to match the current ticket rates!
      Kindly tell me, how can one subject a non-pensioner 82 year old travelling with his wife suffering from dementia to this kind of gruelling stress and trauma when all he wanted was to be able to go to warmer climates to avoid the delhi cold?
      If ai wanted him to travel with a bandaged head without recovering from the injury then they should have allowed him to travel on that same day! Who will be responsible if he had suffered a similar fate all over again just because a shift manager couldn't understand his medical condition?
      Please address this urgently and revert. I would like ai to keep its word of providing him another passage at the earliest without him having to pay anything extra.

        My tkt was booked in ai 9834 from bikaner to delhi which was scheduled to depart from bikaner at 15.10 hrs on 23.11.2017. However, it was rescheduled for departure at 16.15 hrs & arrival time at delhi at 17.45 hrs
        As a result of which, i am get a window of 10 mins only to catch up my next flight which was booked from delhi to patna for the same date (With scheduled departure time as 17.55 hrs), by go air services.
        Can team air india suggest me, how i can catch up the next flight with an window of 10 minutes only.
        I called customer care (Make my trip & air india) for making an alternate arrangement. They denied stating that this can't be done at their end. They suggested to talk to the airport duty manager for alternate arrangement. However, duty manager also denied the request stating, they cant help it.

        Please guide me what can be done in this case.

          This is regarding booking of air ticket in airindia website yesterday, 22.11.2017.
          The ticket (Multi city) was booked for kochi to bhopal and the payment was made through sbi net banking. An amount of rs. 29, 134/- was deducted from my bank account. The ticket was not booked and an error message was reported by the website.
          The amount of rs. 29, 134/- was not returned by air india for the un-booked ticket.

            I had booked a ticket for my son from mumbai to chandigarh as per the following details. He could not travel in october as scheduled. When i called up the call center to cancel the ticket i was told that i could use the ticket on any other date within one year without any charge.
            Today when i called up to do that, i was conveniently told that it would not be possible. I would have to cancel theticket and would not even get my frequent flyer points returned.

              My colleague and me were travelling to bbi on 20.11.2017 with flight no. Ai-77 (7:00am) for urgent meeting and tried web-check-in because of no luggage. We reached airport before 6 and tried to get boarding pass through self-checkin facility but it was not working only for air india. Further, we tried to get it from counter. Even though we were in the same queue, she got boarding pass and suddenly they closed that counter and asked us to visit another one and it continued until 6:16 and then they denied because of delay. She has to travel alone in the flight and i had to book another as the meeting was too urgent. Web check-in option was neither available at mobile/pc nor at the airport.
              Staff of air india did not cooperate at all and just because of their instructions to move from one counter to another, we had missed the flight.

                  My brother and his wife booked ticket in air india to travel bom to bbi on 13 sep 17.                   Hi,
                  As a Frequent flyer and a regular Indian citizen who is aware of Indian aviation rules and regulations I am forced to express my disappointment for the experience that I have encountered with the oldest Airline of our country "Air India" .
                  I had my flight (AI887) on 21st Nov at 07:00 AM from Delhi. I had my web checkin done and I was at the airport by 5:45am . I was in the Queue where Boarding card for Mumbai was being issued.

                  The Staff was completely looking confused and were rushing the passengers.
                  I understand there are different flights scheduled more or less at the same time however I didnt see the Air India staff forthcoming and managing the passengers according to the departure priority.

                  Two passengers for Bhubhaneshwar were rushing and the staff was unable to issue the boarding card and was delaying, this consequently was delaying me to collect my boarding card and go towards security.
                  Somehow I managed to get my boarding pass around 6.10 am where I had a sigh of relief that I still had time to reach the aircraft.

                  Security screening and checks took another 25 to 30 minutes for me to go towards my boarding gate.
                  While I was moving I stoped a staff from Air India and checked on the flight status, to which I was given a very casual reply that I will still get the flight.

                  By this time I heard no announcements from AirIndia or any kind of final calls.

                  When I reached the boarding gate, I was stopped by AirIndia staff and told that the flight has departed and I have missed the flight.
                  After all the morning drill and unwanted exercise that I went through at the airport for being before time, I was told that due to my fault the flight that I had booked and got a web checkin done was missed by me.
                  I was in anger and irritation to know how could that happen.
                  When I kept requesting the staff to help me, their attitude was so pathetic and casual that they made me feel as though they have paid for my tickets and doing a huge favour by flying me.

                  I was also told that they didn't have my number updated on their PNR system hence they were unable to call me. Now this is serious as, I have been getting all the messages on my phone and updates about my flight.
                  They are RUDE, UNAPOLOGETIC, NON CUSTOMER CENTRIC.
                  I fly frequently and even I am aware of the procedures. Once the boarding card has been issued and the name of a Passenger reflects on a Passenger Manifest how would they not be worried about the passenger. I overheard the staff mentioning that we had to fill the flight and send hence they have sent someone else.
                  This is dangerous and I am questioning the security breach at this point. If they were serious about the statement they have made that they have accommodated someone else on my seat or my name WHO WAS IT??
                  I missed my flight, had to pay a new fare for another flight without any consideration of a refund.
                  But what worries me is what is the reliability of such airlines wherein they think as they are governed by Government bodies nobody can touch them or voice against them.

                  The staff challenged me to go and report a complaint, and they said they were not bothered as it doesn't affect them. It seems they are expert or habitual in giving deaf ears to their customers.
                  I know our private airline staff would never say this.

                  I demand my Refund very strongly.

                  This is bizzare. How can you allow someone to board the flight on someone else's name just to fill the seat. How no one checked who is the last passenger who took boarding pass and stil not boarded? Is it not your responsibility? How they dint even announce for it? Why everyone was moving away from their responsibiilty of their customer and was feeling ashamed to face me? Who is answerable? Who is responsible? I suspect that it was planned to use my seat and my money to accommodate your staff or someone on my name.
                  -Then where is your security?
                  -What about the hard earned money of common people getting duped this way?
                  -Welcome to the biggest Indian Aviation Scam.
                  -Is this the way you earn money by treating the customers in such a manner?
                  -This is not about the 5627 rupees only, it is about the trust and service one expects from you?

                  Tell me who is going to refund me my money?
                  I just cant tolerate injustice happened to me.

                      Efficiency of ground chak in staff is very poor on dated 17.11 2017 time 9 am reach in que by 8.45 am for the flight time 10.15 am & reach bording counter by 9.10 am but i miss the flight due to inefficient staff take a log process to issue a bording pass (Busy on mobile phone gossip to other staff) & last moment she says go to last counter harry up & last counter says you are late by 2 min.                         service deficiency on flight

                        I was travelling from mumbai to goa by ai663 today i. E., on nov16, 2017 in economy class. To my surprise, i was upgraded to business class (Seat no. 3f). The flight took off by 1330 hrs. Food served on board in business class was not given citing shortage of serving tray. The logic given was not fathomable.                         Kindly attnd:- senior persons of air india airlines.

                        I booked a flight ticket for dated 3rd nov'2017, from allahabad to delhi (2 tickets), via goibibo, but unfortunately that flight was cancelled by air india airlines, due to there some technical fault & they said, they will arrange new alternate flight on very next in morning 8:55am, but me & most of the passenger were not ready, we have to reach delhi as early as possible, so i booked a new flight from lucknow to delhi on my cost & air india airlines person has confirmed that they will refund my all money, if i will not take there arranging flight.

                        So, i back to delhi and i have cancelled a flight & initiate for refund, & after that airlines persons also confirmed to goibibo person on recording call that they will refund 100% ticket cost to go ibibo & goibibo will refund to me.

                        But till date, i have not received my money, goibio is saying that air india air lines has not initiate money to go ibibo till date, & now air lines india is also not showing & reverting of our calls.

                        My ticket cost of 25000/- flight was cancelled due to mistake of air india airlines, so why should i suffer a loss of there mistake, i booked a ticket from air india, this was my biggest mistake. I booked ticket, becoz of good reputation of air india, but i think i was wrong.

                        Kindly let me know, i will get my refund or not.

                            I wanted to book flights by ai using senior citizen`s class.

                            I found such concessional fare is much more than double of economic class fares.

                            This is total cheating and fooling by ai.

                            I sent many complaint emails to ai but nobody responds.

                            Anybody knows why ai sale is being delayed for so long?

                            Also ai is trying to make them smart by creating too many classes even in their economic class seats.

                              The issue that we experienced was very traumatic and stressful. I was travelling to london to gaya via delhi with a 3 year old baby.

                              The airline changed there flight timings few weeks before departure and the layover at airport increased from few hours to around 8 hours and they confirmed at time of booking that

                              1. We will get the luggage at gaya directly and it was confirmed during the time of check-in at london as well
                              2. That we can get a hotel as the lay over was longer, from airindia counter

                              When the flight reached delhi, the staff at airport advised to take the luggage out and then again check-in at the domestic counter, otherwise the luggage can get lost. With my 3 year old baby, i had to do all of that and no proper help and guidance was provided. After this they said counter will open at around 1am and i had to be on the airport with a 3 year old with no help. It was a big stress and almost an harassment from the people at airport from the airline.

                              We talked to the manager as well and first he didn't talk and then he didn't do anything and no accommodation was provided.

                              The whole experience was traumatising. There was no one who can guide customer and provide help even though there were so many people. T felt like they are just there doing nothing and just making customers life difficult.

                                Sir,
                                I traveled along with my son s. Venkatesh, on 2.7.2017 from delhi to bangalore by ai 504. On landing at b. Lore, while l received my baggage from the conveyor belt, i was surprised on seeing the condition of my baggage bottom despite getting the 'fragile sticker' pasted on the box. Thus on the same day, i went for reporting at the concerned counter. But to my surprise nobody was there, rather luckily the indigo staff around them tried to help me by locating the air india staff, after about my 15-20 mts waiting. As otherwise, i got late and my people at outside were waiting for me as they were also not in a position to wait for a long time due to parking problem & so on.
                                A) later, after enough waiting in that room one official was brought by the indigo staff & to him i explained everything by showing the box. He took a photograph of the same thing and assured me that he will certainly do the needful subsequently, since he doesn't have time to attend to me as he has to go since it was time for the next flight to arrive. As i was also in a hurry, i gave him my contact number & informed him that i'm on a 10-15 days trip to deep south. He also said i can get it done on my return date at b'lore.
                                B) likewise, i returned on 16.7.17 by ai-501 flight from blr-del. Again i tried hard to approach the right person for the needful to be done w. R. To my box. At b. Lore airport i met in the cs counter, s/sh. Partheeban. J, chandrabose. G & also one hema shalini (A lady, who doesn't have the right approach towards passengers at all, which i feel is quite essential in her line of job, which was absolutely missing in her.) but since i was in the departure side, i was again restricted from getting the job done, as they said i'm to approach the arrival side at b. Lore. How funny.. I'm to catch my flight from departure side... Already i was getting late.. As i came from a long deep south india trip conducted by kstdc. One vital thing i need to be informed here, that all through my journey i found very difficult to carry my box to every place i. E., for about 10-15 days trip. Imagine, how tough it could have been for me over such long journey.

                                Finally, i am to say that i asked them to take the photograph of my box in the mobiles of mr. Partheeban & mr. Chandrabose. For reference it can be very well seen for taking appropriate action at least now, 'better late than never'.

                                In fact, i waited patiently for about complete two months, hoping that the needful will be done on its own at the higher level like. But unfortunately, i doubt the issue might not have reached at the higher level, i suppose. Further, the concerned registers can be checked & the details can be verified from the concerned officials too, so that you may be able to get a clear picture as how i was put into a great problem like, without getting any due assistance from the concerned staff.in fact, mr. Partheeban & chandra bose had given it in writing to me to address you people, incase if the issue is not resolved in time. So, now i'm bringing the issue to your kindself notice hoping to get a right solution, considering the name & fame of air india please.

                                Awaiting for due action at least this time.

                                  My flight on tuesday 7th november 2017 with air india from birmingham, england, flight number: ai0114 was due to fly at 20:30, it was delayed & was due to leave at 23:30 (Of which i was informed via email). Whilst on the way to the airport i was contacted via my mobile phone by air india to inform me that the flight would be delayed again & leave 01:30. I was compensated with a £7.50 food voucher which was insufficient to buy a hot meal, seeing as i was waiting at the airport for over five hours.
                                  I arrived in delhi airport approximately 16:00, the transfer flight (Flight number: ai0491) to jaipur was meant to leave at 19:40 on 8th november, but it was delayed three times (I cannot tell you the exact times as i was so tired because i hadn't slept). I was compensated with the promise of food from the food street in the food court at the delhi airport. When i arrived to collect my food, they said they were closed. I explained that my flight had been delayed & showed my boarding pass in order to receive a snack. This was completely unsatisfactory (Picture included) & i refused to eat it. We eventually boarded the plane approximately 22:15, but the plane needed refueling & was in a queue to take off. Everyone sat on the plane for just over two hours which was incredibly uncomfortable & the state & smell of the toilet was disgusting, unfortunately i had no choice but to use it. I was extremely tired, hungry & exceedingly unhappy with the service provided by air india, along with everyone else on the plane (I had been traveling for much longer & it was just a horrible experience). Other people took video footage of the distressed complaining customers on board, i unfortunately did not. It caused a lot of problems for the people who had arranged to meet me at jaipur which made me feel guilty for something that was not my fault. As they had to wait for hours because i had no way to inform them of the second & third delay. It caused a knock on problem for my host family that i am staying with during my time in jaipur.
                                  I fly back with air india from jaipur on monday 18th december 2017 with air india, flight number: ai0492, departing 13:30 & am worried that the same thing will happen again. I do believe that the compensation should reflect the amount of distress air india caused me, a partial refund or upgrade for my upcoming flights would be appreciated & that's the least the company can do for me in my opinion.

                                    I had sent several mails to air india ecommerce help desk and connectsr regarding my refund and compensation bfor cancelled flight. However, the help desk e commerce deptt. Attended my complaint and arrangements made for refund of amount but they informed the cpmpensation part is dealt by connectsr and forwarded the mail to them 5 times. I also wrote to them several times but no reply. Such a collois and lethargic attitude from air india is unbelieable.

                                    Is there anybody supervising them or they r finctioning of their own.

                                    I want a proper redressel of my grievance.
