I had a booked a ticket for air india ai-317 from hongkong to mumbai on 20th august, 2017. Details as follow -

I reached hong kong airport before time and collected my boarding tickets. I cleared my security check and immigration and entered the departure hall. I saw the flight had delayed for about 1 hour 40 minutes from 18:05 to 19:45 which was okay to understand. Around 6 o'clock i saw the flight had been cancelled and i had to visit to sats counter. There i was told we would be shifted to cathay or jet airway flights accordingly.

I waited patiently and again asked the counter what was going on. After several minutes he told his staff to take us to jet airways counter. After reaching there we were informed that the gates have been closed for the said flight and there is no other flight to mumbai. We asked the staff to call the air india manager so he can come assist us and help us and give some solution. But we remain unattended.

Later we were given a cathay dragon flight to bangalore (Blr) and were said the situation would be informed to bangalore air india staff and they would give us the first next light to mumbai and send us back. I reached the bangalore airport around 12.30 am on 21st august, 2017. And to my surprise there were no air india staff present or to attend us or help us. I went to air india counter and told them about my situation. After listening to it they called their seniors to confirm and took 1 hour to know that such thing happened with us hong kong airport and now they need to send us to mumbai back. They checked the flight available and reserved a spot for me on 8.10 morning flight which i refused to take it as i had already waited so long. I told them to look for flights in other carrier and hook me up to the next flight to mumbai. After fighting for 3 hours almost every 10 minute and keeping a track on what they are doing and teaching them how to do their own job. They finally give me a seat in jet airways flight at 5.00 am which had its departure time at 5.45 am. I rushed to the security gates hurriedly and took the flight to bombay.

Above was the case to be explained and the scenario for you and your company to understand and now i am going to write down the problems i faced -

Firstly, i had a direct flight to mumbai, for no reasons i had to unnecessarily fly to bangalore and from there to mumbai. This caused me a lot of troubles and more importantly waste my time. I was suppose to reach 1.15 am on monday 21st august to mumbai but i reached 7.30 in the morning and left the mumbai airport around 8.30 am due to which i had to reschedule all my appointments and meeting post lunch.

Secondly, i had requested for vegetarian jain meal in the air india flight, but i couldn't get the meal i had asked for in cathay dragon flight from hong kong to bangalore due to which i had to stay hungry. Later when i reached bangalore airport i asked air india staff to arrange refreshments for me, but they failed to provide me with anything. So i had to eat by myself.

Thirdly, i had purchased two liquor bottles blue label which costs usd 192 each from dfs, hong kong international airport which is okay to carry as hang luggage if i had directly flew to mumbai. But we had a stop in bangalore. At jet airways counter i was told that you cannot carry liquid in hand bag and was asked to put in luggage and said they are not responsible if it breaks. I couldn't throw the bottles at bangalore airport, so with no option left i had to put them in luggage with a fragile tag on bags. Unfortunately both the bottles break when i opened my luggage to check at mumbai airport. I dint wanted to start a flight in the morning with airport staff and air india as i had a meeting to attend which i later post pone. I was tired and in complete agony but i knew there will be no one to listen to me.

There are many more incidents and problems i had to face because of your flight ai317 being cancelled. No apologies, no response from air india customer services, no consideration from anywhere. I should be given a refund as well as compensation for a disastrous journey or i will take this case further.

    I booked my tickets from jfk (New york) to delhi - return ticket.
    When i departed from jfk and landed in delhi, they lost my baggage.
    After three hours at airport and multiple follow ups, i got my baggage after 2 days, when i asked what is your policy for inconvenience, their answer was you should be happy you still got it back.
    Now, i cancelled my return ticket three days prior to return date and asked for open ticket reservation for return owing to some private matter.
    I called today to book my return ticket and they said their system is down to check whether i was no show or not, so they cannot check it and hence they will not book it.
    When i asked for timeline for when to book or how to book, they said they dont know and asked me to visit their center in delhi which is 25km away from my house.
    When i asked for seaking to manager or compalint box, the guy refused to give me his email id or complaint number.
    Person was very rude and arrogant in dont come to us - tasleem ansari - he didnt gave his proper name - this is all i could heard.

      Dear Sir,

      I have booked an E-Ticket as per PNR (Y2321) for the sector TRV/SHJ on 2nd August 2017 and blocked the seat No. 4A for my nephew Mr. Asif Mohammed Sali. Today was his travelling. In the checking counter at Trivandrum International Airport, the counter staff issued him boarding pass with seat No. 32D. He was directed to the Manager in charge in the airport when he asked to issue the seat we were blocked.

      Unfortunately he was not ready to change the same and was spoken with me through telephone. He was telling the 4th row seat is payment seat and you did not pay for the same. I told him that at the time of reservation it was shown that the same seat I blocked was with no fee. He told that he don't know about it and it may mistake of the Air India Site. I feel shame that one of your senior responsible staff doubting the trust of your web site.

      At last he has allotted 8th row seat which is the emergency exit row after understanding that we are going to complaint about this incident.

      I also felt the same experience before at Sharjah International Airport for my personal travelling time. I am using Air India since last 20 years and my FFP No. is[protected].

      I have booked a seat for me myself on 19th as per PNR (Z8L71) wish to cancel related with this very bad and sad incident happened at Trivandrum International Airport today.

      Please note that these type of employees will spoil the reputation and growth of our National Airline. Please take the appropriate action against the irresponsible employees and save Air India.

      I had book tickets from Kathmandu to Lucknow. When I reach at counter for boarding pass theny ask me passport or Voter ID of india.
      If they want passport or Voter ID, it should be ask at time of Ticket booking.

      Air India service at Kathmandu airport was worse service.
      My flight is on 8 aug 2017 but now they delay to 9 aug 2017 my ref no is HLZX5, with any valid reason they changed the date. And they can't response me properly.
      Air india is very poor behaviour with customers.

        It is huge inconvenience to me when a big amount (Rs 95113/-) has been blocked due to faulty transaction system of air india during the booking of tickets on 7th august 2017. It is third day, is over but no refund and no positive effort from e-commerce of air india. I am facing lots of harassment and i have not able to do any further plan and my other important work.
        Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

          Booked tickets for my parents on 24/5/17 in air india flight ai-584 for travel on 20/8/17 in sector trivandrum-bangalore (File attached). Suddenly on 7/8/17 got an sms stating that the flight is rescheduled to 22/8/17 (File attached). When i called customer care, they failed to provide alternate flight on same day and refused to book me in other airlines flight. They couldn't give any reason for flight cancellation on 20/8/17. As we had connecting flights/plans, so i had to buy new tickets with almost 3 times higher than original price (File attached), wasted half a day at work and also lost my mental peace. My initial booking amount not yet refunded and it is stuck with air india for 2 & half months for no reason. Also the travel agency took their charge for cancellation.

            I malaynil dey, i came from leh (Ixl) on 02/08/2017 vide air ticket no.[protected] to kolkata airport (Ccu) reached on 02/08/2017. When i came from leh (Ixl), i have handover my luggage to your staff at check-in time directly to kolkata (Luggage no. Ai 925998). After reach kolkata airport (Ccu) i came to know from your side that my luggage has not reached due to your problem and your staff assured me that my luggage will be delivered to my residence safely. As per commitment of your staff, my luggage has been delivered to my residence on 04/08/2017 evening in totally damaged condition.
            Now i want know from you, why my luggage damaged on the way and why so late to reach my home. What is the reason.
            Now i feel that i am totally mistake to avail your flight.
            Immediately you compensate a new 24" branded leather trolley suitcase for me.

              I must say the worst experience by far.
              Things that annoyed me during my travel
              1) i was travelling to macau and baggage tags were not handed over to me at chennai and delhi despite me requesting several times. The answer i got was "not required madam" and finally i ended up in trouble at a place where there were none airindia officials (Hong kong airport) to help claim my baggage as i had to take the ferry to macau. Had to request quantas airlines to get my bag tag no and i luckily could claim it. Called air india officials several times but none cared to respond to my concern. What was surprising was i asked them to give me my tags atleast about 3 times and they assured me saying its not required so its clearly not my ignorance.

              2) return flight to mumbai was delayed so i was directed towards cathay pacific airlines which landed at 8.30 pm (About 6 hours prior to my scheduled landing) but my connecting flight was about 10 hours late and atleast air india could have tried to get me an earlier flight. Instead they just chose to redirect me to different places within the mumbai airport to ask for the same query. Finally took my same connecting fight after waiting in the airport.

              3) duty free liquor is not allowed in hand baggage i believe in mumbai international transit to domestic. Rules are rules i agree but the passengers wouldnt know the rules unless its mentioned prior as such things never happened to me during all my international transits to domestic. Had they informed me prior i could have dropped it within my baggage which had ample amount of space instead i had to check in and during my security check for hand luggage is when the authorities thought that they should mention.
              Irony: i had to buy a new baggage which was more expensive than the liquor itself.
              More irony: air india did not have a fragile tag. They had to write it on a piece of paper and stick it over my bag.

              Cheaper than other flights "yes" but please invest in a little more and avoid these hassels as it spoils the entire mood of our journey.
              This is what i have decided at the end of my travel. Thank you air india for such a wonderful experience!!!
              There was indeed a lot to learn and lot new experiences!!

                Wring check in details were emailed out with the wrong flight details leaving us to cause severe distress. No one was able to give us a necessary answer or even attend our call on the phone meaning that we had to leave earlier to identify what the issue is. We had to wait in the airport unnecessarily, having to cancel last minute plans on our last day in jaipur, coming up to some financial loss which was prepaid.

                  Flight scheduled for tomorrow, 3 august
                  It gets delayed without any prior notice to the flyer.
                  While doing web check in i noticed the updated timings with no information of it given to me in personal.

                  Web check in boarding pass shows wrong date i. E 2 august in place of 3rd august, increasing to the confusion already present.

                  This is really frustrating and changes all the itenary of the flyer

                  Least they can do is inform about the delays and atleast print the correct date on the boarding pass.

                  On the top of it, while boarding at the boarding gate they denied my booking and told.me that some agent has cancelled the booking.

                  Doing a web check in is futile when you are travelling with air india coz at the end they will change your seat because of there bloody stupid system and will harass you

                  10 minutes before my flight departure, at the boarding gate they are telling me that there is some problem with my booking and decided to give my already choosen seat through web check in to some other passenger and harassing me by putting me into a middle seat despite of the fact that i have already chosen my seat 1 day before.

                    This is to my utmost shock and disappointment that air india is playing with the precious time, energy, efforts, health and money of passengers by delaying the flight (Bearing no. Ai 043a) for more than 5 hours thereby leaving all passengers stranded!! My parents namely mr. Daya nand sharma and mrs. Radha sharma (Boarding pass no. 24 and 25) already had a very tiring day and thereafter when they wanted to come back home at the earliest they were badly stranded on chennai airport on 14th july, 2017. The boarding pass was collected timely but after that they krpt following up with the staff for the time of departure.
                    Nothing can be more humiliating that they had to wait for hours and hours for the said flight and for no fault of theirs. Without taking dinner, with all the sufferings, health problems, deprivation of sleep on proper time, tiredness while waiting, they had to bear the pains and torture of air india services. The list of suffering is countless to mention as my mother is a sugar and bp patient and she got so so unwell that her recovery took almost a week.

                    Needless to mention that my parents have gone through lot of harassment and mental agony. This is a clear case of deficincy in services by air india to its passengers. The time of departure or delayed flight should have been communicated via message or mail on prior basis.

                    This conduct requires the immediate action of refund of amount of tickets and along with that the compensation for such deficiencies in services.

                    Kindly take the necessary action in this regard at the earliest else we will be constrained to take action against the air india airlines for such gross deficiency in service.

                      My wife and 1year old daughter wanted to fly mumbai to varanasi from air india today @10.30 but reached at checking [protected]@10am but the internal staff doesn't allowed her to check in. The reason why she was late 1st she went to domestic airport and she came to know that the air india flight fly from international airport, then she has taken rickshaw and she went to international airport and rickshaw wala also drop her so far from the airport and she cover the remaining distance by walking with baby on shoulder and luggage and she manage to reach inside @10 but the internal staff doesn't even help to check in and they said u can't board the plane u are very late she request and cried in front of them but the staff didn't help her and she miss the flight. At human ground and the condition how she has managed to reach at airport at least that should consider and the staff could helped her and she could has taken the flight! As genuine and exception case the staff could has come forwarded and help her but...

                        This application is to report a lost mobile. I had an htc e9+ which i lost when i traveled from patna to dammam on 29-july 2017 with a stop at delhi.. It was of black in color. I had all of my data and useful contacts in it. When in reach dammam airport i realise that i lost my phone in flight ai 913 i go back in flight and told my problem to your staff he check flight but he did't find my phone i want my phone back please help me..

                        On 25th June 2017, 9:45 pm I booked two tickets from kochi to Mumbai which cost me 5874 rs.but after the money was deducted it was shown as error.and tickets are not generated.

                          I was travelling from delhi to damam my luggage is totally damage lodged complain at airport damn king fahd. Authority has not helped me only lodged complain. My name is right bajpai date of travel 31.07.2017. I have receipt of complain air india has to give me amount or a new luggage old assist me provide me cash or luggage. My luggage has been thrown because inside a lot of thing damage my oil bottle broken and clothes got sports.

                            I have traveled from chicago to bangalore on 26-july 2017 with a stop at delhi. I had checked in 2 baggage one suitcase and one tv. My tv was sent to delhi and and suitcase was sent to bangalore. As the missing luggage is tv and it is held at delhi customs department for clearance. I did ask the airindia staff at delhi airport about my luggage and he confirmed that my luggage will be coming to bangalore. It been more than 3 days and so far no update on this. It has caused me so much of pain and financial loss.

                              My self khasim, working in dubai. I suppose to travel from dubai-mumbai-hyderabad on 22.06.2017. I reach to counter 1 hr before counter closing. Counter person told me repack the baggage because of excess luggage. I was repacked & reach to counter with in 5mins. Till the time another passenger was there in counter. Counter person told me come after this passenger. That passenger is travelling to delhi, but that counter display shows mimi. That passenger having more than 8 baggage and extra luggage and counter person taking more than 30mins. I was standing in 'q' more than 30mins. Boarding closing time for mumbai flight 10.40pm.
                              One supervisor (Mr. Samir - dnata) he came to me 10.45pm and told me booking closed. Then i was behind air india shift incharge (In duabi international airport on 22.06.2017) mr. Ravi till 2.30am to do some thing for me or arrange alternate. He was just close his mouth till 2.30am and given a suggestion go air india office, they will do some thing. Then next day i went air india office i paid aed880 dirhams for 23.06.2017 ticket. And air india shift incharge (In duabi international airport on 23.06.2017) miss. Malini given a report, its passenge mistake.

                              I am surely telling its not my mistake.
                              Proof: dubai internation airport - counter cctv footage.
                              Just air india employees blaming to passenges to save their jobs.

                              My question is,
                              1. How they provide my conformed ticket to some other passenger?
                              2. Why air india shift incharge (In duabi international airport on 22.06.2017) mr. Ravi fail to provide alternate solution?
                              3. How air india recruted like this unskilled employee?
                              4. Who will pay the compensation to me?

                                I have travelled from chicago to delhi and delhi to hyderabad and reached hyderabad on july 25. Initially my baggage was delayed for a day and later they brought it directly to my house. Upon checking my baggage i am missing play station in the bag. I believe these are stolen as the bags zip is tampered. I tried calling hyderabad customer service on[protected] & 3019. But didnt get any response. I have no option to contact airindia. When i called to toll free number, am not getting appropriate response.

                                  Complaint already filed with air india : no. 25759 on 08.07.17 : no response

                                  - we were in time and checked in well before time.
                                  - sonia gupta had medical emergency being 8 month pregnant and asked the staff for the gate as sujat soni ticket was not clear and staff after security check and were told gate 45c (As i sant sujat have weak eyesight i could not confirm and there was stamp on the place of the gate of the boarding pass and it was also not clear.
                                  - we went there and as she was medically pregnant we waited before the rush area so that she may not be harmed accidently.
                                  - we were waiting since 11.45 although boarding time was 12.15. At around 12.35 as it was past the boarding time we re-confirmed form the gate why boarding had not started and they told us we were at wrong gate and we need to go to gate 42c.
                                  - we rushed and were there at near 12.45 being very near
                                  - the gate had just closed. We pleaded with them it is medical emergency and that to let us board but recieved no help. The staff was arrogant and rude and far from professional. They said we cant do boarding process for you again and papers have gone. We explained the entire situation and rather than trying to see if we could be boarded they just argued with us. By the time they realised we were not wrong and tried to help after 15 minutes the flight had probably closed the doors.
                                  - our passes were stamped "no show" and sent back saying surely we would be helped and the next flight given to us at no cost or huge discount etc.
                                  - we then went and talked to the mangaer mr j. R. Mani who was busy chatting on the mobile talking to a friend and making evening plans for dinner being a saturday and kept us waiting for nmore than 15 minutes.
                                  When he finally talked to us he summarily dismissed us by saying your boarding pass is stamped noshow, the gm is not there as it is saturday and i cant help you. He was so extremely rude unprofessional and arrogant that without a single comfoting word went on to say you file complaint i will give you book, no one listens.
                                  - there was actually no other senior at the airport. We tried but to no avail. We were told that we would get no help of any sort nor any flight ticket nor and discount etc.

                                  All my account can be cross verified from the cc tv cameras at the airport to corroborate my story.

                                  Decided never to fly air india although i have been frequent flier.
                                  Expect a full refund if not extra for the harrassment.
                                  Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                    My name is nallani chakravarthula mangathayaru. On june 21st i travelled from
                                    Detroit to frankfurt via lh 0443 flight &from franckfurt to delhi lh0760 flight. Reached delhi on 23rd early hours. As per the employee at detroit luftansa i thought that my baggage will reach to hyderabad. I filed a complaint at hyderabad after coming through ai 0506 flight on 23.7.2017 as i have not found my baggage. I have given a complaint at customer care center.
                                    After dealing with luftansa authorities i arranged customer clearence of my baggage at delhi and contacted air india after showing my complaint to send it to hyderabad. But ai not responded instead demanded rs.500/ per kg. No body given proper response and hence i have to send my lauguage through cargo courier after paying rs. 7200/-
                                    Hence i request to return my amount which i have paid to dtdc cargo

                                      Sir, i went to air india ticketing counter at chennai international airport counter on 27th june in order to buy a ticket. I waited in the queue for a little over an hour and when my turn came the ticketing agent looked at ticket authority and told me to wait because i was a retired staff and he continued to attend to the others in the queue. I am a retired staff, a senior citizen and i am ailing from a heart condition for which i am being treated at sri ramachandra medical centre hospital as recommended by air india's medical officer. The ticketing agent just would not attend to me, all he kept telling me was that i am a staff & that i had to wait till he clears the others in the queue. If this is how it is in chennai the retired staff should be informed when making the ticket authority that they will have to wait till all revenue pax are cleared and only after that the staff will be ticketed. It is very sad and very degrading to treat retired staff in this manner. This is my humble submission.

                                        Air india has often been my choice to fly but after my recent experiences, i promise i will never fly with air india again.

                                        Melbourne to delhi ai 309 17 jun 8:45
                                        - staff sitting and playing games of their phone
                                        - having to get up and ask for water
                                        - no one attending to "host service" button
                                        - bathroom absolutely horrible (Find pictures attached)
                                        - food was uneatable

                                        Rome to delhi ai 122 12 jul 19:40
                                        - no coordination of on board staff with us having to wait for 45 minutes for other people to move out of our seats
                                        - traveling with my partner and we where given seats not next to each other
                                        - flight delayed for over 3 hours
                                        - made to sit on the plain for over 2 and a half hours with no air condition
                                        - food was uneatable

                                        I am a frequent flyer and i have never complained before, but this was by far the worse experience flying in my life and i want to be compensated for in in some way.
