On 13th may 2019, i, mrs. Darshan garg, age 75 years, travelled by air india flight no 476 from jodhpur to delhi along with husband (Jaikishan garg) and daughter (Sunita agrawal). She can walk only a few steps with the help of a stick and requested a wheel chair).
She was told by cabin crew to keep seating as she will be alighted last. Her husband and daughter were told to proceed to baggage collection area. She was taken to baggage compartment which was lowered and told to get down and walk to a room. She requested repeatedly to security staff to inform her husband and arrange a wheel chair.
After long time wheel chair arrived.in the mean time her husband and daughter were running from pillar to post to find out her where-about. One lady at information desk went to air india office for help. They refused point blank to do anything. After half an hour of agony she came to baggage area.

        Dear Sir,

I booked three tickets for my family by online but unfortunately they can not travel and cancelled the ticket by calling E commerce. After several follow up for refund, E commerce replied me by mail that the amount is already refunded. After 8 days the amount is not yet credited to my account so I contacted again my phone and mail and informed them that I didn't receive the refund and requested them to provide the swift message so that I can check with my bank. Until now I didn't receive a proper response from AIR INDIA.

Kindly resolve the issue as soon as possible

        Thanks

        Mahesh

            Dear Sir / Madam,
I had booked tickets to travel from Mumbai to Varanasi on 27.04.2017 (flight AI 695). I was denied to travel on the journey date and offered to fly on 28.04.2017. I need a travel certificate for journey covered on 28.04.2017.

I had incurred monetary loss due to this last minute change by airlines staff. Airlines staff were also non-cooperative. They have behaved very irresponsibly.

I would like to put claim application for losses incurred. Taxi fare from home to Mumbai airport to and fro (80 Kms - Rs. 1500). I had also booked vehicle to travel from Varanasi airport to hometown on 27.04.2017. I had to pay for to and fro (300 Kms – Rs. 4000).

The above compliant was registered in the flight cabin crew report on 28.04.2017 (AI695).

It was very troublesome for me. I request to take note of hardship faced by me and do the needful to settle the claims and issue a travel certificate for journey on 28.04.2017.

            Dear Sir / Madam,

I had to travel from Frankfurt to New Delhi on 22.06.2012 at 21.50 on AI-120 but the flight was cancelled and I was made to spend the whole night around 12 hrs on the Frankfurt airport. I was made to travel on 23.06.2012 morning 7.45 on AI-126.

Since I had a connecting flight from Berlin to Frankfurt on 22.06.2012 evening 18.20 (in code share), I had no choice but to come to Frankfurt Airport. There was nobody on the counter of Air India on the Frankfurt Airport. I was searching them in order to get informed regarding our night stay and scheduled flight departure. Literally we spend sleepless night around 12 hrs on the Frankfurt Airport.

I had some important assignment in India on 23.06.2012 but could not reach. I would therefore request you to compensate for the hardship faced during the stay at Frankfurt Airport. My travel details are as follows:

            e-Ticket number:[protected]
            Galileo reservation number: VWQ7B4
Air India confirmation / PNR number: JN4GW

This issue was brought to notice of Air India immediately after returning to India (refer email dtd. 29.06.2012 and subsequent several reminders till date). I am sorry to say but even after such long time there is no response from Air India. It is worth mentioning there were other passengers in the same flight who were provided with hotel lodging and food for overnight at Frankfurt.

            Thanking you

Flight AI494 from Surat to Delhi on 9th may 2017, scheduled departure was 8:30 am and I reported at the airport at 7:50am. The station manager denied me boarding and was so discourteous that he did not even listen to my problem and just went from there and came back when the flight was taking off. I kept on requesting another lady from air India to call him back so that I could speak to him but she told me he is not listening. I was travelling with my 4 year old daughter who even started crying so much after the whole incident. There was no assistance from their end so as to shift me to another flight or change my tickets for next day.i even had to take next flight from Delhi to Lucknow same day at 12:30 pm which also I missed. I got only Rs.900 as refund because of pnr number being same.
The behaviour of the staff was highly disrespectful and in cooperative. I wrote my incident in the feedback form on air India website and in reply the station manager himself admitted that the check in had closed at 7:50. So that implies the check in had closed as I reached. So wasn't that rude on his part to disallow check in and especially when I was travelling with a child.
Flights can get delayed by hours but if a passenger gets delayed by a minute this is how they treat. Even after sometime I got a message saying that the Delhi Lucknow flight is delayed by half an hour and boarding will close 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure. That means they have different rules at different places. Here he denied me boarding because I should have been there 45 minutes prior and at Delhi airport even 20minutes is fine.
Concerned authority please look into the matter and I expect an apology as well as reimbursement of the amount I paid for booking another tickets.

I was travelling from varanasi to mumbai by flight ai696. Scheduled at 1900 hrs & reached mumbai at 2150 hrs. I don't know how but probably due to wrong tagging of my luggage it got exchanged to a wrong bag. Since i was having another flight to chennai which due to delay of ai696 was very hard to catch.
Anyhow i managed to catch the flight but after reaching home & opening the bag found that the wrong bag with correct tag was delivered to me. I tried complaining the lost baggage but was instructed to return the bag at chennai first. I would humbly request you to please first arrange transfer of my baggage then only i would be able to return the bag.
Please urgent. I am attaching the boarding passes & baggage slips in this email for your convenience.
Now air india people are confirming me that my baggage is there only but are asking me to courier the bag from chennai to mumbai as they are unable to get it collected at chennai airport & would hand me my bag only when i courier the bag to them. They didn't even told me the address for courier.
Can you please help as my mother's all clothes & articles are in the bag only.

                    Flight AI 603
                    Dep scheduled 6:15 am, 18th April, 2017.

I reached the airport on 18th April, 2017 at 5:32 am (The time when I entered through the security gate). I had done web check-in and had hand baggage only. Air India had a hand baggage counter where I approached and they said their check-in counter for AI 603 had closed. I approached an Air India staff and he informed that the counters have closed at 5:30 am and nothing can be done. I inquired whether boarding gates have closed too, to which they replied boarding had not started. Then the staff asked if I had any luggage to which I replied in negative and said that only a hand baggage is there. I demanded that in this case, they should allow me through and give the boarding pass as I had web checked-in and had only a laptop bag to carry. The flight departure time was showing at 6:15 am and the time during this conversation was 5:38 am. Also, I had received an SMS from Air India a day before, stating that as I have web checked-in, I can collect boarding pass from self check in machine and the boarding gates shall close 20 min prior to departure. But I was denied for the same too. I requested the staff to consider my case. He then asked me to speak to the supervisor who was at a different counter. I narrated the case and he then approached some other person and then said that the counters were closed at 5:30 am. I mentioned that I had done web check-in and just need the boarding pass but they refused to help. They asked me to go to the booking counter and ask for the status of my ticket. After reaching the booking counter, the staff said that the ticket had already been cancelled and was considered as a "no show ticket" and said that I would get only INR 280 (approx.) as refund (against taxes), whereas the ticket costed around INR 4200 (approx.). In frustration I had to book another ticket OBVIOUSLY WITH A DIFFERENT AIRLINE (and 4 times the cost!) for the next day. I exited the airport for which the AI staff very kindly filled up the exit register.

The worst airline ever travelled with.
Yesterday my mother was to board the Air India flight from Hyderabad to Guwahati via Kolkata (Al 525). The flight was more than 9 hours late. The flight attendants were so uncourteous. We had an important event to attend, but everyone turned a deaf ear. The flight attendants were almost shouting at the passengers as if we are beggars. There was no proper sitting arrangements provided, the breakfast provided was worse, just a piece of idli and vada. No one provided even another flight for people who were in a hurry. Then out of all these when we by chance reported to Kolkata, our luggage was no where to be found. Asking the airline officials didn't help. They were so rude, and then instead of providing an Air India flight from Kolkata to Guwahati, we were asked to travel via the smallest Jet Airways flight ever. The attendants shouted at us, saying we have to pay for luggage since it was around 48 kgs for two people. We politely replied that we were to travel via Air India and the latter has maximum 50 kgs of baggage allowed for two passengers but they didn't budge. We had to pay for luggage.
We booked via Air India because we thought it is the most privileged airlines but this is what we got. If you can't run an airline company, at least don't run it. We do not travel free from your airlines. We pay you and you give us this treatment. There's a limit to atrocities. The people who were to reach Guwahati by 11.30 am in morning, reached home at 9.30. We had to miss the event for which we travelled in the first place. These kinds of behaviour is not tolerated.

                        Date:- 23rd april 2017
                        Origin:- delhi
                        Destination:- mumbai
                        Flight timing:- 10:00 am

Today's experience was not good at all. I am having two issues

1st:- when i booked my tickets online i requested for the seats n the seats were 6d, 6e, 6f. But at the time of issuing boarding pass, the lady who was there she told me that ur seats r already given n only front row seats r available. I said nothing and took the boarding pass. After entering the aircraft i came to knw that the seats that i booked it online are not completely occupied only one person is seating there so i exchanged the seats because my kid want to sleep n the hand rest of first row is fixed.. You cant moved that. Don't understand why airline people did this.

2nd: first i pressed the calling button two times but nobody payed any heed. Secondly when one steward came up with a breakfast trolley then i requested him to give me a blanket bcoz my kid was sleeping n was feelings cold but that guy think that serving food is more important then giving a blanket... I'was on a 6th row... U can imagine how long he would have taken to finish his food serving duty. Third time i again had to remind him, then at last he bought the blanket. But this type of attitude towards kids is not acceptable... Kids should b the first priority whatever b the case

I booked a flight from bombay to hyderabad on 27 April 2017. I reported on time with the itinerary and my ID proof in my mobile wallet. I was denied boarding and was asked to produce original ID. It took me sometime to arange the same by when I was told that the boarding was over by 13.10 itself. I requested my travel agent to cancel and seek refund. Air india denied refund citing No Show as reason. This is simply cheating with your loyal customers. I want some genuine officers from the airline to look into this matter. It's not all about money every time. It's a matter of betraying trust. Should you require my flight details, pls revert.

                            Dear,
                            Sir,
I am hemminlal haokip, student of Rizvi law college, bandra mumbai. My parents was travelling from Bombay to Calcutta by AI 675. Where we reached before 5:00 pm ! As they are senior citizens I contacted the counter and speak to the supervisor about their assistance but they couldn't provide any proper care which lead to passenger missing the flight due to them ! We have reache before time but due to long queue the were waiting and I call up again and spoke to the manager and he was soooooooo rude ! My mother is a patient and travelling together with dad ! Unconvinience and uncomfortable caring and support by the air India staff leads to missing their respective flight AI 675. I will also make an FIR against them .

On 25 Apr 17, I booked a ticket on AI 127 for travel on 26 Apr 17 and return on 28 Apr 17 (Hyd-del-Hyd) through web. While Rs 13275 was debited from my CC account, the ticket was not generated as it said session timed out. I checked with customer care and they informed that though PNR-Y05Q3 was generated it had been cancelled due to technical issues and the amount would be refunded in 24 h. They advised to re-book the ticket. I rebooked the ticket and got a similar message of session timed out even though Rs 13275 was once again debited from my CC account. So I called the customer care again. This time I was informed that my booking was confirmed and provided PNR No - Z9YQ3. Because of my earlier experience I double confirmed from the customer care executive and was assured that my booking was confirmed. I also told him that I had not yet received the e-ticket in my email to which he stated that it would come or I could log in to manage my booking and take a print out of the e-ticket. With this assurance i planned by travel on 26 Apr 17. Prior to leaving for the airport I wanted to web check in and to my horror it showed the status as booking cancelled. I called up customer care toll free number and spoke to Vinoda. She could not resolve my problem and to compound matters informed me that no economy class ticket was available for travel till evening flight on 27 Apr. Neither could commerce department sort out the issue. Because of this error and callousness of Air India staff and also because of being misled by customer care executive who confirmed to me that my booking was confirmed, I was compelled to reschedule my entire travel plan which was urgent and for official work. It has also led to a sever financial loss as the new booking has now costed me Rs 25, 698 as against Rs 13275 earlier. I request AI to take suitable action against the customer care executive and suitably compensate me for the agony and financial loss caused.

I had booked the AIR India tickets for my 3 family members via the Musafir portal. PNR No - YS4Q4 from Mumbai to Delhi dated 19th May 2017.

By oversight these tickets have been booked for Mumbai to Delhi route instead of booking for Delhi to Mumbai route. I had been chasing on all contact nos. of AIR India since yesterday (25th April) immediately when I realised this incorrect booking & requesting all to void these tickets so that I get complete refund with just a nominal fee charge. But not getting support from anyone.

I am assuring that I will be booking the Delhi to Mumbai tickets again through AIR India only, but still neither MUSAFIR guys or the AIR India guys have been supporting on this.

Dep scheduled 6:00 am april 26th.

I reached the airport today at 5:18 am (The time when we entered through the security gate). We had done web checkin and had hand baggage only. Air india had a hand baggage counter where we approached and they said their counter has closed for flight ai 525. We approached an air india staff and he informed that the counters have closed at 5:15 and nothing can be done. We inquired whether boarding gates have closed too, so they replied boarding has not started yet. I demanded that in that case they should allow us through and give us a boarding pass. We had already done web checkin and had selected our seats. We just needed the boarding passes. The flight departure time was showing at 6:00 am and the time during this conversation was 5:23 am. We requested the staff to consider our case and allow us through, he then asked us to speak to the supervisor who was at a different counter.in that counter it was displayed "air india economy all flights". We narrated our case and he then approached some other person and then said that the counters were closed at 5:15 am. I mentioned that i had done web checkin and just need the boarding pass but they refused to help. I went to the air india reservation counter inside the airport and they asked me to approach the boarding counter. We were just going rounds and no one was helping. I approached the security personnel and asked them whether they should deny us boarding. Security personnel at security gate informed that if boarding gates have not opened and its still more than 30 minutes to flight departure then we should be allowed. We approached the ai staffs again and they didn't even look at us.in frustration i had to book another ticket obviously with a different airline for next day and we exited the airport for which the ai staff very kindly filled up he exit register for us.

I was in an Air India flight AI-144 which flew from New Jersey, USA on 17th April 2017 to Mumbai, India. The staff which was serving the drinks asked me about the drinks and his mouth smelled of Rajnigandha, a pan masala and it grossed me out. Secondly, those people didn't smile or had any kind of expression (pretty serious people). I didn't feel like talking to them or asking them for anything because they didn't seem to be interested in what I was asking for. It was all just for formality.

I feel that eating Pan Masala on duty is not fair and it can disgust people who are traveling. Moreover if you are greeting people with a serious look it can make people think that you are doing something wrong.

AI 101 flight which was supposed to talk off from Delhi IGI airport to New York JFK airport on 19th April 2017, 1:45 am got canceled. All the passengers were boarded into the aircraft by 1.45 am but the flight didn't take off. Air conditioning inside the cabin was not working and passengers were suffocating. After 3 hours of torture, passengers were informed that the flight cannot take off and an alternate flight will be arranged. But around 6 am passengers were informed that passengers have to wait till 5 pm. All the passenger were put in long queues, their immigration was canceled, and they were taken to a hotel (Pride Plaza). The situation in the hotel was chaotic. The hotel staff was not expecting these many passengers and initially kept ton telling that they do not have sufficient rooms to allot. Somehow the hotel staff managed to assign rooms to all the passengers present. Air India staff was clueless what was happening and every time kept on giving a different for rescheduled flight. AI 101 finally took off at 18.30 pm on 19th April.
Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. Hope our national carrier improve one day (hope it is not an eternal wait!).
