I travelled from raipur to mumbai by ai651 on 17.04.16 and was extremely disappointed by the poor service.Air conditioning was not functioning at all right from the point of boarding. Being hot weather outside, inside atmospheric conditions were just so suffocating. While the flight halted at vizag for one hour, the situations became extremely unbearable with humidity of 96%. Total travel time was of 4 hours and hence the situations were really unbearable. Air conditioning system is a basic amenity for air travel. After paying huge amount on flight, such pathetic travel conditions are totally not acceptable from such a reputed airline.

I was on flight AI 084 from Goa to Mumbai yesterday 16TH APRIL 2016. The flight was scheduled for 10 pm and it was delayed by an hour with no intimation from the authorities there. After the flight arrived in mumbai the luggage came on the belt after an hour after intervention and heated exchange with the employees present. they were casually chatting and least bothered about the problems the passengers were facing. Seats allotted at the time of check in was changed at the last moment. one of the worst experience faced with no apology of sorts from the careless airline AIR INDIA

I was booked air india flight from mumbai to rajkot.

Departure time was 15.50 and i reached there at 2.58 pm but still they have closed the counter.

As per rules it has to be closed prior 45 min of departure..

        Hi,

This is mohit singhal. Air india has come up with a recent change of asking kyc documents from frequent flyer account holders which is a very good step.

But i think there is lot of issues and practical problems associated due which customers like us who are willing to support the programme are feeling harrassed.

9th mar'16 - i wanted to book tickets for my parents using my miles account but on login the site was asking information to complete kyc which is filled but the website didn't allowed me to submit the form because of multiple frequent flyers account existing on my name. I spoke to customer care and gave them multiple options to help but they were like stereo tapes saying 14days or 2weeks is our process time from day of receipt of email.

Helpless me - sent an email to "flying-returns.[protected]@iclployalty.com"

Date: wed, mar 9, 2016 at 10:00 am
Subject: quick updation of frequent flyer

After that i did lot of followups and everytime i call, i am said that 14days from email date... Even now when i call it is said 14days from mail date.. But i don't know when this 14days will come though it is a month now 28days ++...

This is mere cheating of genuine customers by not allowing them to submit kyc forms and then later on the miles would be lapse.. Due to this we have to bear heavy flight ticket cost and feel un-previledged..

I hope air india will take it seriously after seeing this complaint if it reaches again.

        Thanks,
        Mohit singhal

I wanted to complain about the ground staff behaviour at birmingham airport name joseph he was at ticket counter. I was travelling with my 8 yrs daughter and this was the worst customer service i received not only he refused to help me he was shouting at me on top of his voice when I complained to his manager her name was hardeep or harpreet she did not listen to me and took his side by defending him and when i asked to give his full name so that i can make formal complaint she refused to do that. This person name joseph was not professional and had no courtesy. He was very rude and had no information to help me. He refused to help me straight away when i stared questioning him and left his desk. His manager did not listen what i need to say about this person and when i asked about his full name she straight away said if you want to complain his first name should be ok as if she doesn't care because she know nothing will happen i had worst experience with these people both of them had no care n customer service skills

On 27-Mar-2016 Air India flight AI-614 (PNR: H08EG) that was to depart from Ahmadabad at 7.30 am and arrive Mumbai at 8.55 am was delayed by approx 2 to 2.30 hrs and additional delay of 30 minutes due to no landing permission at Mumbai.
Due to this I could not checkin for Indigo flight 6E-513 (PNR: DYWZ7D) from Mumbai to Hyderabad which got missed that was to depart at 12.05 pm.
Later I had to get new ticket booked by paying additional amount of the ticket that was at 3 pm approx.

              This is totally not acceptable.

I will inform all my friends/relatives/colleagues to not to travel in Air india.

I need compensation for the loss that I have incurred.

              Regards,

I have booked my Air India Flight from London Heathrow to Hyderabad which obviously had a transit through Delhi. As per my initially booked ticket I was expecting to Fly at 6:45 am to be in Hyderabad at 9:00 am to attend Good Friday's Church service with the Family but to my dismay and disappointment the Flight was cancelled and merged into AI542 which was flying at 9:50 am hence a delay of 3 hrs thereby extending my waiting time in Delhi airport to 6 hrs rather than 3 hrs and to add to the misery poor customer handling by the Air India staff and not taking any responsibility of the issue either at London or at Delhi. There wasn't any care taken to meet the needs of customer like Breakfast etc. for long wait. Irresponsible behaviour of AI staff in not intimating to me at London of the change of flight time for my transit flight to Hyderabad from Delhi. The inconvenience caused by Flight change has resulted in me missing an important family envent to attend Good Friday service. I have paid extra money to change the date and fare change to the tune of £200 and on previous occasion £305 for being late by 2 mins hence considered as "No Show".

Please note that though I left a written complaint with AI staff at Delhi, I haven't had any response yet from Air India. I'm not sure of their response times.

In view of the charges incurred by me for changing date or being late for baggage drop. I would expect similar kind of or suitable compensation be paid to for the incovenience caused and the poor customer care and rude response from Air India staff namely Mr Rathee at New Delhi.

Please find below my ticket details for your perusal.

                    Hi,

I took the Air India flight AI348 fro, Delhi to Shanghai on February 28. When I reached Shanghai I found out that my baggage is missing. Then immediately I raised the complaint. There was no information about the baggage for the first few days as the Air India people did not know where the baggage is. It is a really pathetic way of handling the baggage. It is highly unethical way of doing the task. It is just as if the airlines do not care about the luggage when moving it from check-in counter to the airport. It took about a week to recover the baggage as it was recovered by the Jetairways people in T3. The baggage was found on the flight area near the 9W flights. And as the Jetairways people were not knowing about the luggage as it was unattended, so they called the CISF staff to check for the potential bomb threat. The baggage was opened and scrutinized. As my uncle works there in Jet Airways and I already notified about my missing baggage to him that is why he also started looking into the issue. If he would not have been there then I think I would not have got my baggage ever. The bag was containing so many valuable stuffs. It has been such a pathetic experience that I am ashamed to say that Air India is the run by Indian Government. It has been a total harassment and need the compensation for this harassment.

Unbelievably pathetic and harassing behaviour by Air India.

                      Sir/madam,

I travelled from bhopal-delhi on 21 december, 2015 and pantnagar-delhi on 23 december, 2015 by air india. The frequent flyer code[protected] was used for booking the journey by ticket no. Etkt 098-[protected]. I got credit of miles and website booking bonus for the return journey by ai 435 from delhi to bhopal. I also got credit of miles for travel from pantnagar to delhi for travel on 23 dec., 2015 on the same ticket.

However, i have not got miles and website booking bonus for travel from bhopal-delhi on 21 december, 2015 by ai 436 and website booking bonus miles for travel from pantnagar-delhi on 23 december, 2015 by ai 9816.

I am regularly facing similar problem. I do not get credit of miles for all legs of journeys on the same ticket. I have written number of emails to air india. However, there is no response till date.

I had made a reservation JH26X, for which I paid the entire amount Rs 19323, which got transferred from my bank account to Air India, under transaction ID: IG0BRXNKV8.

During my conversation with you customer care executive, Lavanya, she mentioned that the ticket has been confirmed and within two hours it will be sent.

So, I called again after 2 hours, and a completely incompetent and totally clueless so called executive named Kathiraman, picked the phone and said it has been cancelled. He wants me to mail to this id for a refund.

I need to see the document that states that even if it gets cancelled by a mistake from your side, it will take 7-14 days to refund the amount. And i want to file a complaint against this since i did not get a proper solution. This person, whatever you ask him, chants like a parrot saying "mail to this id, okay okay".

What if the person who is booking has only that much amount with him; should he wait for 15 days to make another booking?

                          Dear Sir,

On 4th December, 2015 I wrote an email to Air India customer care claiming my missing miles for 6 trips. There was no response and I again followed-up on 13th December, 2015. Still there was no response till date.

After waiting a lot, on 13th March, 2016 I escalated the matter to Nodal officer Mr. Vivek Sharma but there was no response till date.

I wrote to Appellate Authority Mr Sanjiv Kumar and again waiting for response.

Their entire team is sitting idle and not entertaining their customers' request.

                          Please do needful.

                          Thanks in advance,
                          Chandranath Mondal

The following contents and the attachments are posted here as a reminder to my earlier complaint i.e. Air India Complaint Status Update [ID: 1215780]

Despite the above mentioned complaint and acknowledgement of the complaint there has been no response from Air India for almost two months now. Hence reposting the contents of my earlier complaint. Hope to get a favorable response soon.

For original complaint details see below along with attachments.

Delayed Air India flight No. AI 888 on January 9, 2016 causes missing of Air Canada connecting flights to Toronto and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW).

My brother, Mr. Shreekrishna Madhavi, who is pursuing MS at University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) had booked air ticket for travel from Mumbai to Dallas on January 9, 2016.The travel was from Mumbai to Delhi on Air India flight (AI 888) and from Delhi to Toronto and from Toronto to Dallas (DFW) by Air Canada. Refer scanned copy of the ticket and boarding passes.

Unfortunately, Air India flight was delayed by 4 hours exceeding connection time of 3 hours 30 minutes and so connecting Air Canada plane
was missed. Flight Delay and Cancellation certificate issued by Air India is attached. During 24-hour accommodation at Centaur Hotel no fresh tickets were issued to my brother either by Air India or Air Canada both tossing the responsibility to one another. Being short of money, either to proceed further or return to Mumbai, I booked Indigo flight 6E-169 on January 11, 2016, for journey back to Mumbai. Refer boarding pass of Indigo. Fresh tickets of Emirates for travel to DFW were booked on January 13, 2016

You will appreciate my brother had to undergo harassment and mental torture due to missing of connecting flights as also missing classes for a week.

In view of the foregoing, please give refund of Rs. 63, 350/ being the cost of the ticket.

I have made several travels with Air India (domestic as well as international). As per the Frequent Flyer Program, Air Miles are credited to the Frequent Flyer Account (FFA) for the travel made which can be utilized for class up-gradation or for booking new travel tickets.

As per the policy the last name on the ticket booked should match with FFA Details and the passport then the credit for air miles would be credited to FFA.

In My case I do not have last name. Name on the ticket and as per passport are same but there is no last name so miles are not credited.

I have been following up thru mails and live chat since Nov, 2015 to do the needful as full complete name on passport, tickets and FFA account is same but I am not getting any response from the FFA team in this regard.

                                My Details are as follows
                                FFA number :[protected]

i am a family of 6 memebers with both my parents above 75 yrs of age.All are enrolled for ffp.Recently you have introduced kyc norms for all ffp holders.

The kyc module is a defunct /unfriendly module where the files more than 400kb cannot be loaded. The system prompts for independent email id for all ffp members. In case where members are senior citizens or children who have no computer access or not computer literate how the air india management expects to help them.In jetairways a similar program for frequent fliers is in existence where all the family members can enrol under "my family" scheme for account management under a single window. When the prime minister is talkin about ease of business it is not understood how air india has come up with a kyc for ffp which is not only cumbersome, unfriendly but difficult to get the things done, which i am trying for last 3 months. Can anybody in the management give a serious thought to it for your field staff and call centre guys are either ill trained or not interested in helping anyone.

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam,

The Problem...I have a similar problem at hand. My mother in law is old and does not know how to handle emails. Neither does she have a mobile no as there is a landline no besides she uses my wifes no when required. My son studies in Class XI and the school does not permit him to use a mobile number. He is a minor and hence all his transactions and buying of tickets etc are done by me.

The solution by Air India... They have replied to my email stating that the company policy directs all adults must have a valid mobile number and email acct and there shall be no duplication of these reqmts to validate the KYC for Frequent flier program. We all know your policy guidelines and you dont have to repeat it. Now is that a method of resolving problems? They have even failed to visualise the problem and come out with a solution instead chose a standard reply. How disappointing and totally customer unfriendly.

The action at hand... I am not going to let this here.. we are going to knock every door and leave no stone unturned till this issue is addressed adequately... From the next time i may chose to not fly with this airline.
                                  Dear Sir,
How to do your KYC? I am Ranga chari TB my mobile number is [protected] and My FFP Number is[protected]. Please advice me how to do KYC

I travelled Mumbai Delhi on AI 101 16th Jan 2016, landed at Delhi 17th Jan 12.00 a.m., i was with family with 5 bags, 3 bags badly damaged, one bag had minor damage [ repairable] so i went to baggage services & reported the damage, they gave me damage report for 2 bags & said i could repair anywhere at bag shop who would provide bill & claim the same from air India ticketing office in cash. On return to Mumbai i could get only one bag trolley assembly repaired the 2nd bag beyond repairmen have sent several mails & every alternate day calling air India Delhi, Mumbai as to what compensation i will get for bag that cannot be repaired as per IATA & other international baggage rules, there is no response at all from air India, i flied a feedback complaint with all photographs & ness. documents to prove my bag is beyond repair they have no response system since Jan 2016 i am following up with them.

due to damage to main trolley assembly damage i had to carry my heavy bags on my entire vacation in himachal, the 2nd bag main wheel assembly broken & had to lift & carry the bag all around instead of pulling it by wheels all over the hilly region of himachal where trolley, wheel bags are easy to monover, due to damage i cannot use this bag anymore mainly its a large size full suit carrier bag, i travel for international sectors with my suits etc. i cannot use this damaged bag.

the bag that is repaired at a cost of 1350 Rs Air India Delhi has to authorize Mumbai under copy to me to collect the amount from AI Mumbai airport & i want compensation of damaged bag to purchase a new bags with wheels as per IATA, General conditions of carriage.
