I had planned to attend a wedding of one of my close friends in pondicherry (from mangalore) .i planned the trip 3 weeks in advance. Booked a return flight on 3rd OCT from pondicherry to bangalore AI9510: 25th OCT.
air India cancelled the flight, which is no surprise as nothing much can be expected of them. The problem is that they informed me 8 days prior to the journey with absolutely no alternative arrangements made. Infact when I called their call centre, the lousy executive hung up the call on me while I was speaking. This caused me to make hurried alternative arrangements by train and bus as the flight prices had, obviously, soared to double the price. And the refund money would not reach me for at least 15 days!

    Booking Itininery :

    AI-880/IXB-DEL/03Nov and onward connecting flight AI-819/DEL-BDQ/03Nov.
    The flight AI-880 has been re-scheduled and we received system generated message on 17Oct'15 which will mis-connect onward flight DEL-BDQ.
    The option given by Air India - IXB station manager was to travel on DEL-AMD reaching late night.

    Air India - IXB Station Manager has expressed in-ability provide taxi transportation from AMD-BDQ on Air India Cost.

    When the ticket is booked with destination as BDQ, Air India unable to provide required transportation due it's flight re-schedule.

      Hello, I have booked ticket to travel from hyd to varanasi on 4th Oct 2015 timing 6:20 AM departure.Air India AI-695, PNR: ZFM3ME. I was 50 mints before departure in the airport and I was trying to get self checking in the equipment but it was not working finally, when I reach the counter just 43 mints before they have not accepted although we are 4 members also with no check in laguage, they have not even tried or no proper response to help. I lost 70 k amount and also sentiment trip to varanasi. I am literally hurt and help less. Can u pls help me take some action in this regard. Thanks chakravarthi, [protected]

        I travelled in Air India from Pune to Dibrugarh, with my 2 baggage. I did my through check in at Pune Air port for Dibrugarh. As i found my baggage has not reached. I did complain immediately to the Air Port attendee abt my baggage. He made a manual report called PIR. Now its almost 11 days and the athorities are not giving any response. I am worried as I was carrying all important documents such as my original academic certificates and experience certificates. Please help me out to find out my delayed baggage.

          Hi, I have been penalised- they have denied to let me board just i was late by 3 minutes..Forced to book another ticket on next day with a very rude behavior by their officers.           Hi Team,
          I have booked a flight of AIR INDIA through VIA.com(Booking Reference - FMN1G2N0F53 ) from Delhi to Raipur. I have been denied boarding with very rude behaviour.Flight AI 469 delhi-raipur, 5:45 am with the below fact-delayed flight by 5 min
          road blocked, heavy traffic jam at 4:50 am just 200-300 mtrs away from terminal 3.After all this mess I called up to customer care of Air india and they assured that you will got only 1040 as refund for this flight.but VIA.com customer care person replied differently that after all this deduction they are going to charge INR 200 more as cancellation charges and I have received refund mail from via.com, mentioned refund amount INR 430 for total ticket of 5130.
          I want my money back asap. I am not going to pay any further cancellation charges to via.com after already paid 5130.
          Resolve this concern asap otherwise I will lodge complaint against via.com in consumer forum.

            She asked for Rs. 10000 as the Airport Pass charges from us and asked us to wait for 6 weeks to receive the Offer letter. Now it almost 6 months passed away. When ever we are calling her she used to tell some reasons that the offer letter dispatch has been delayed due to bla bla bla reasons that sucks sour patience. Now she is saying that due to Airport Terminal work is in progress, we need to wait for 2 more months. We lost our patience and asked for money back. She asked us to mail her asking for the money. We already mailed her to ask for the money. She is not yet responded for the mail. Friends please dont trust these kind of Job offers. They will loot our money by showing glittering Job offers as such !!!
            Flying air service -This company is fully fake and fraud. They takes money for jobs. And they don't provide jobs...Fully fake company if you don't have trust on me then check all comments and reviewas. You will get the answer there are some fake comments of saying this company is real those are all fraud comments. They loot your money..By showing dreams of jobs.

              Hi : I was travelling from air India, I was told that my flight will be delayed by 7 hrs which I accepted, nobody ever told me the reson. Again I tolerated. When I asked at Newark flight what's the plan from Mumbai, they said we will arrange for it. Now at Mumbai I was told that that now I need to wait for another 5 to 6 hrs. Who is going to pay for the time which I need to wait at airport? Who is responsible for taking care of me during this 5 hrs ? Why the air India staff has not at done anything for the customer specially few of them are senior citizen to take care of them

                We booked a round trip to Maldives and unfortunately we chose Air India ( biggest mistake).

                My family had reached the airport 1.30 min before and were at the counter for check-in, the check-in counter employee from AI asked for me as I was also mentioned on the ticket, I was stuck in Mumbai traffic and was on my way.
                This AI personal didn't check in my family either,
                It was a connecting flight from Mumbai to Blore then Blore to Male(Maldives) and they could have checked in with any ID proof as it was domestic.

                Then i reached 50 minutes prior to the time mentioned on the ticket, but then the ******** at the counter says that he has closed the check-in and cannot issue boarding passes.
                The entire time my family was at the counter and were informing him that I am reaching ( providing update)
                But still he dint care for the money we spent on this pathetic airlines.

                Then comes his superior, this female tried showing off and the upon confrontation she spoke to the check-in staff, then it was a crazy scene.
                As every one started fighting as if they were in a local fish market. The staff at the check in counter is lame and prematurely deployed. It makes us believe they have no training and are just caught from the streets and hired for pennies.

                That person at the check-in counter had no regards for someones hard earn money wasted.
                Their supervisor then says that there is nothing they can do and simply told us to book other flight tickets.

                I had to spend additional money to book GO Air tickets for Blore and then catch the connecting AI flight to Male.


                Upon all this crap, we later realized that it was not just a 1 stop connecting flight as they mentioned on the Eticket. This flight stopped additionally at Trivandrum.
                So was the return journey we had to stop at Trivandrum, Blore, Chennai and then Mumbai,
                This was never mentioned on the tickets. It was a pathetic wasteful and tiring journey.

                We have decided to completely abolish Air India for life, We would rather spent more money on other flights that fly in AI ever.

                There is an additional topping to this incident.

                The flight crew was so bias that I really felt humiliated. May be they are trained only to be nice to white skinned Indians and foreigners and the rest should be ignored or humiliated.
                Inspite of asking something few times they straightly Ignored me and Went to few guests who were not Indians.

                In the flight from Chennai to Mumbai, the flights male attendant , ignored me inspite of asking him a few times.
                While serving food he gave nonveg to the person sitting on the right and when I asked for it he just ignored and almost dropped a tray on my tray table. Upon asking twice he straightly says its over we don't have non-veg left for you.
                I felt insulted and that was the very moment I decided never to book an AI flight.

                I have conveyed my incident to my office travel desk and they say many other employees have also faced such issues. So we are planning to eliminate AI from our booking list, so that no employee has to face this crap while traveling abroad.

Me my debit. and credit card no, velidity time and. He started gennerating otp. And. Ask to. Tell. The OTP no and started. Online shopping. From. My account ₹2000. and ₹5000. Continuously.so. Please verify the. Person who play fraudulant. Through air India customer complaint centre.so advise how this happen as soon as possible. You. Customer. Tokpam Sophia. Chanu.

                  I got call from same number and asked my debit card details and OTP. I did not give the OTP. I have disconnected the call without giving OTP. After analysing the situation I have called back to scold him. His mobile was switched off. I have sent an SMS scolding the rogue. Message was delivered but he did not respond to it.

                  When I have checked his number on true called his name was stored as "Bank Helpline".

                    My flight from rome to delhi have been delayed for more than 5 hours... I had a meeting in india on sunday at 1:00 pm, which is now cancelled and a big loss to me... On other hand i bought a product from rome on which i was entitled a tax refund of euro 52, which i can not claim now as flight delayed so the counters are closed... I need compensation... Please let me know what to do?

                        I had booked 2 tickets for[protected] in Air India flight from Zurich to Kolkata. In the ticket, my name is correctly printed (DEEP CHATTERJEE), but my mother's Surname is printed as "CHA" in lieu of "CHATTERJEE". I called up Air India customer care helpline in no time from the receipt of the e-tickets and requested them to update my mother's surname correctly. Air India customer care representative denied to update my mother's surname and asked me to cancel the ticket and re-book the same which would cost 15000 INR. (approx.). In response, I requested her to update the same against receipt of a Standard Court Affidavit (Stating the CHANDRA CHA and CHANDRA CHATTERJEE are the same person in this context) and all the national identity proof of my mother including Govt. of India Pension Payment Order Book, Voter Id Card, PAN Card, Retired Employee Id card issued by Ministry of Finance Govt. of India etc. ; but she did not agree to the same and asked me to pay cancellation charge 15000 INR and re-book the same. The ticket details are as below: [protected] : Mr. DEEP CHATTERJEE (No correction required) [protected] : Mrs. CHANDRA CHA (needs correction in surname) I would request you to kindly take up the matter with the concerned airlines and resolve the issue against submission of any type of proof of my mother's identity.

                          Please note the following. Confirmation/PNR number: #JCHFL Flights: Air India Flight 657 & Air India Flight 658 Date of booking: June 12th 2015 Date of departure from BOM: 8th Sep 15 Date of departure from CCJ: 10th Sep 15 Date of cancellation email received from Air India: Aug 29th 2015 Name of the booker: Siddhesh Wanikar Email id registered: siddhesh.[protected]@gmail.com Due to Operational issues you guys at Air India merrily sent me an email of cancellation of my flights, without even attaching an apology (how pathetic on your part). I have an entire itinerary planned for my parent’s anniversary. The hotel has been reserved (paid off) The pick up and drop to the airport has been reserved (paid off) The AIRLINE TICKETS were paid off more than 2 months in advance. And I receive this cancellation email just 10 days away from the departure date? I am offered refund. For what joy would I want a refund? What about my planning and the feeling I want to give m family? Air India can just decide to ruin my family’s experience? It is understandable if it was a natural calamity. Then I wouldn’t have blamed your organisation. But this is just unprofessional, ignorance and carelessness on the Airline’s part. Also if I book any other flights now, I will have to pay a higher amount than what I have already paid Air India. Who takes care of that differential amount/loss that my pocket has to bear? Plus after talking on the toll free number to Ms. Devi, I just get an apology and no empathy. I am simply assured a call back. NO SOLUTION PROVIDED. I ask that Air India has to book me on another flight as it is the organisation’s responsibility. Is this how a reputed company behaves with their business providers? Its a shame that it isn’t a private company airline, but our very own AIR INDIA doing this. SHAMEFUL!! I need the following with immediate effect: • Travel tickets to and fro BOM to CCJ Airport as per my dates on another airline company • If you can’t provide the airline tickets of another airline, then I would need AIR INDIA airline tickets as per my dates again to Cochin airport, and a transfer to CCJ airport from there. If there is any other solution you can think of then do not space a mini second and immediately give it to me. As a customer I believe that I can still have faith in your airlines. But if I suffer a loss due to no fault of mine and your airline does not take necessary steps for a concrete solution then, I will have to knock the doors of consumer court as well as I would not hesitate to take this issue on a social media platform.

                            Please advise I had lost my baggage while travelling from Dammam to Allahabad via Delhi on 14th July, 2015 and until now there is no positive response from Allahabad Station. I had collected my baggage at Delhi and after customs handed over to check in counter to proceed for Allahabad but I received one baggage less at Allahabad and no positive response as of today.

                              I recently travelled with Air India from Leh to Delhi & the service which I received was appalling. My flight was delayed at least 3 times until eventually it was cancelled. Staff attitudes were awful as when you asked them for information they either laughed at you or were rude. We heard no reasons why our flight was cancelled yet other airlines were leaving the same airport. We were told to call at 6pm that day to be given flight details for the following day but were hung up on about 8 times before someone gave us an answer. The staff didn't seem to know that another flight had been scheduled. The replacement flight was delayed for 3 hours so I almost missed my connection from Delhi to London again after having to reschedule it the previous day.

                                    I had booked for BOM-DEL flight on 4th Nov via Air India, ETD 17 hrs, Airline PNR YDMXC, E Tkt no 098 [protected], Refundable fare.

                                    Due to change in Campus visit schedule for IIM-L Noida campus, I thought of cancelling the above REFUNDABLE ticket. But while attempting cancellation, a penalty charge of Rs 1579 was shown as deductible. It may be noted that the ticket cost was around Rs 3200 of which the taxes etc would be around Rs 2000.

                                    As per rule, till you actually take the flight, the tax liability does not accrue on a passenger and same is refundable in full.

                                    However, in above case, I was being offered Rs[protected] = 1621. Fail to understand the logic behind this amount as I am definitely entitled to full amount of taxes and substantial portion of base fare (since the ticket is refundable ).

                                    The penalty portion is exceeding the base fare which is negating the REFUNDABLE fare type of ticket.
                                    Also why there is no full refund of taxes, as I have not flown ?

                                    Interestingly, for DEL-MUM sector for return via Indigo flight no 6E 181 ETD 9.30 hrs, Airline PNR SEFGPX, E ticket no SEFGPX, non-refundable fare, the penalty was Rs 1850.

                                    Effectively, the difference in penalty amount between refundable and non-refundable fare was of Rs 271, which was higher in case of non-refundable Indigo tkt.

                                    As the deductions were not palatable, I eventually settled for change in dates.

                                    My request :
                                    1) Air India has cheated by classifying the ticket fare as refundable fare whereas the penalty on cancellation is almost same as that of Indigo tkt which had non-refundable fare.
                                    2) Air India should reimburse full tax amount, and substantial portion of Base fare as cancellation is effected about 75 days in advance. (Since I have switched to change of date opting Spicejet, the refund should be granted to my credit card through which I paid extra differential amount due to excess penalty)

AI130) for tour by Economy. 1) Mr. Maniklal M Shah 2) Mrs. Usha M Shah 3) Mr. Suresh Lodha 4) Mrs Chandrika Lodha 5) Mr. Mukesh Jhaveri 6) Mrs.Kokila Jhaveri On travelling date i.e 31st July’15 From Mumbai to UK- Flight no 131, Mrs. Usha M Shah ( Wife of Mr. Maniklal M Shah holding AI Frequent Flyer No. : AI[protected] was suffering with back pain & to avoid last minute cancellation of tour Mr. Maniklal M Shah planned to upgrade tickets to Business. While upgrading tickets from Economy to Business, AI staff member furnished them with information that they cannot use Lounged facilities after upgrading their tickets to Business, But a humble request was done by Mr. Maniklal M Shah to offer Lounge facilities as Mrs. Usha M Shah was suffering from Back pain, but their request was not considered. At last with no other option Mr. Maniklal Shah upgraded all 6 ticket by paying cost of total Rs 2, 28, 990 /- to Business . Mr. Maniklal M Shah is frequently flying with AI for his business tour & holding Frequent Flyer No . AI[protected], & was hoping Air India will consider his request but same was not done. This was really poor response from Air India. Also while returning on 14th Aug’15 with Flight no 130, again Mr. Maniklal Shah upgraded their tickets to Business & paid 3220 GBP (equals approx. Rs 329000/- ), Hoping that Mrs. Usha Shah’s back pain will be less while travelling back to Mumbai in Business . Again request was not consider to provide Lounge facilities (Which was clearly spell out to us by your staff- Handling staff). which would have helped sometime rest to Mrs. Usha Shah. before taking flight. At last after paying the ticket upgrading charges ( business) they were allocated below seat no. Seat no. 1 : D, F, H, J Seat no. 2 : D, F When all 6 passengers occupied their seats for travelling it was noticed that one of D seat was not functioning & when it was informed to the cabin in charge Mrs. Mehta, her answer surprised everyone. She informed that she knows about it & all other staff also knows that the seat is not functioning, but no action was taken for repair which might have helped passenger to have relaxed flight, This shows that no one bothered for passengers satisfaction & comfort as promised. This shows deficiency of service. While returning Business was completely full & result to shortage of Blanket & Duvet, also the food quality was not as per menu. So again deficiency in Air India Service. Overall upgrading tickets from Economy to Business was unsatisfactory due to poor response & deficiency in service. Looking at all above hassle faced by all passengers that too after paying extra cost to upgrade tickets from Economy to Business to have comfort was of no use. So want to reclaim our total ticket upgrading cost i.e Rs 228990+ Rs 329000 = Rs 557990/- ( In words : Five lakh Fifty Seven Thousand Nine Hundred & Ninety Only) Hope our reclaim request will be consider & ticket upgrading charges will be refunded to us.
