I am a serving defence person. self with family are travelling by allaince air from jammu to delhi followed by air india flt from del to hyd on 02 Jun 16. the gap between two flts is less than 3 hours. as per baggage rules reflected on the air india site, it clearly mentions that passengers travelling from alliance air to air india and vice versa can carry 25 kg. but the help line people tell me no on first sector between jammu and del we can carry only 15 kgs each and the rules have been ammended from 01 jan. then why the same has not been amended on the site. if it is their mistake they should consider my case favourably and allow us to carry 25 kg on each flt.

    I had two tickets booked in Air India flight scheduled for 7:15 and arriving Mumbai at 8:40 on Jan 31, 2016. I had an international flight to Munich to catch at 01:30 am.

    Also in order to avoid any miscommunications, I called at your service center on 23rd January and spoke to your customer care agent who assured me that there will be no delays and in case of delay you will be informed over phone. I also updated two contact numbers with her.

    I did not receive any communication through SMS or a call rather there was an email.
    Fortunately I checked the email, and called at customer care who asked us to get a Jet airways flight on Air India behalf (as you people have a tie up with them) but they cannot do it online and I have to be at the airport.

    The Jet Airways flight was in 2 hours of when I was alerted for the delay in flight, I somehow managed and left for the airport where to my disappointment there was no Air India agent to assist us in any form. We also tried contacting and connecting to all available numbers which were unanswered. We tried to connect to city office at Indore and Mumbai but they were helpless for the situation and said Air India services at the airport can only help. The flight which we planned to travel was again delayed by one hour.

    We had no other option then to get our flight booked ourselves. We booked two tickets with Jet Airways and had to pay extra for the luggage also ( As the luggage allowance in air india was 25 kgs and for jet the limit was 15 kgs)

    I would like to demand for all the extra costs incurred in my journey as it was totally unfair on Air India part.

    I have receipt / confirmation of below documents:
    1. Jet airways tickets
    2. Cancellation of Air India Tickets
    3. Receipt for the luggage charges taken by Jet.

    Despite following up with Air India people from last 4 months i didn't got any penny back. I would like to submit a complaint for Air India and would like to hear back from the judiciary.

      Dear sir,
      I wish to inform the following points regarding travelling by air india flight from jeddah to lucknow and lucknow to jeddah. My air india booking reference no is y64qland e-ticket no. 098 [protected]. I had faced difficulty while travelling back from lucknow to jeddah.
      1. I travelled from jeddah to mumbai on 10.10.2015 by flight no. Ai 932
      2. I travelled from mumbai to lucknow on 11.10.2015 by flight no. Ai 625 (Domestic flight)
      3. There was no problem while travelling from jeddah to lucknow
      4. I had my return flight from lucknow to mumbai on 30.03.2016 by domestic flight
      5. So i had made reconfirmation of my return flight on 22.03.2016 and reconfirmation paper is attached herewith.
      6. As per the reconfirmation paper the return flight from lucknow to mumbai was scheduled at 1330 hours (Afternoon) on 30.03.2016.
      7. I reached the lucknow airport at 11.00 a. M as per the flight schedule at 13.30 hours
      8. When i reached the check in counter for getting my the boarding pass, the man sitting at the check in counter informed me that the flight scheduled at earlier at 1330 hours has already departed at 10.30 hours for mumbai.
      9. This was a big shock for me because my international flight was there on the same day in the evening from mumbai and secondly air india did not sent any message on my mobile regarding rescheduling of this flight from 1330 hours to 10.30 hours.
      10. My exit/re-entry visa for saudi arabia was valid up to 31.03.2016 only.
      11. There was no time to wait me for rebooking in the same class on other available days
      12. Air india booking staff asked me to pay extra money inr 1700.00 for booking in another flight in higher available class.
      13. I was forced to pay inr 1700.00 for another flight because of air india fault as they did not inform me about the rescheduled flight departure time from lucknow to mumbai on my given mobile.
      14. I am an unskilled worker working in saudi arabia with a very low salary. I have taken loan of inr 17000.00 to buy the ticket and was

        We were travelling from Jaipur to Delhi on 2nd may 2016 from AI 429 flight no and we had our connecting flight to pata from Delhi . First we received a message saying our Patna flight has been delayed about half an hour. We reached Jaipur airport there we got caught in bad weather and our flight was diverted back to Delhi.After waiting for a long time we saw jet airways flight landing around 5 in the evening.We asked for our flight status they said it's still waiting in Delhi and waiting for atc' s permission. If the airport didn't have atc's permission then how jet airways landed its flight.They were just making excuses for their delay.Finally they got "permission " and our flight took off at around 7 or maybe later and obviously we missed our Patna flight even though it was delayed. And not only Patna passengers missed their flight but also Bhuvneshwar passengers .They provided us with hotel for stay and next day's ticket to Patna which was at 7:15 in the morning.At 3 in the night we received a message saying that their morning is also delayed by one and half hour. From the time we were travelling we just kept hearing that our flight is delayed. We called the customer care no and they said they would give us another airline flight.We reached airport as soon as possible. we reached airport at 5 in the morning thinking they would give us another flight.when we reached the airport that they are "sorry" and they can't do anything and can not provide us with another ticket and that they had technical problem.Everytime their flight is delayed its always their technical problem.If they couldn't provide us with another ticket then why did they say it at the first place. They themselves are not sure what they are suppose to do.We lost our one complete day because of this chaos.no other flight has problems like this. IT IS THE WORST AIRLINE. Never on time.The outsource persons sitting on the counters doing absolutely nothing are not responsible and well behaved.In my opinion the authorities of air India and the engineering staffs are influenced by private airlines to delay the flights of air India for their personal benefit and for benefit of higher authority of air India please make air India responsible or close it completely to save the tax payers money I am going to file a complaint to consumer court for my heavy financial loss and mental and physical torture.

          I am registered on air india frequent flyer program with membership number[protected]. In february i have traveled to chicago with air india business class( return trip), but did not get miles credited in my account for that travel.To get it updated i have called frequent flyer call center 3 times and when i call them every one says please email your boarding pass copies to our travel docs email id, i have already sent that twice to them, still if i call them today again they will again say that we did not receive your email, please email again.
          I have also tried sending email to their back end team many times but not getting any response about updating the miles. Here i am stuck that how should i get to their top management and get this matter resolved.I have a bunch of emails to cover this complaint, same can share with you if needed.

            My wife is flying first time today[protected] from mumbai to frankfurt via air india. Due to some reason she could not get the locks for her bags.

            As per my experience if your bag is not locked than the crew locks the bag with plastic lock and is sealed with baggage sticker. But today my wife was denied of these service and on top of that the crew didn't even tried to help her understand anything. The crew just dumped the unsecured bag.

            What kind of staff airindia has. Are they not trained properly. I protest this in strongest manner and i need explanation for this.

              My mother was travelling today from delhi to jfk, ny. We requested for wheel chair for her as she is a patient suffered from cancer and is diabetic. She is travelling with my 10 months old daughter. But on check in counter they never gave her wheel chair and they are saying its not on the system.

              We called 2 months ago and i got it confirmed and yesterday also i called to get it confirmed that if wheel chair is there with my mother ticket. Customer service mentioned "yes". But when i called today that my mother is waiting for hours in the airport for wheelchair they are saying we made request but its not confirmed.

              What is this going on if something happened to my mother what will happen. Only 10 mins left to board the flight and i asked customer service if they can atleast get the wheel chair confirmed at jfk airport. They are saying passenger her to speak to air india officials and file a complaint at airport. Where my mother will go now to speak and knock the officials door with and an infant and luggage.

              I am in really a bad situation that cannot help my mother who is suffering a lot because of air india negligent system.

              And would to tell you that this how you represent india with airindia airlines.

              Earlier when i was travelling given a seat so that i can have a bassinet for a baby. But it was broken that it could not be attached/hanged to the wall across and air hostess kept bassinet on the floor and advised me to put my daughter in the bassinet which was lying on the floor. I did not liked that idea as the seat was too close to restroom.

              Flight is awful and no respect for sr. Citizens and minors also.

                My flight on 3rd april 11.55 pm from pune to goa was delayed by 4.30 hours and i was informed of this the previous night on 2nd april 2016. So next morning, i contacted air india help desk and the airport who said i can get a full refund as the flight was facing a long delay. I cancelled the ticket online and booked another ticket with spicejet paying an extra rs. 3000 at 12.30 pm. To my surprise, air india has now deducted charges while refunding back the money to my agent makemytrip.

                Whenever i call to resolve this, i'm told that a senior will call me in 30 minutes and no one has freaking called me back.

                  I travelled from raipur to mumbai by ai651 on 17.04.16 and was extremely disappointed by the poor service.Air conditioning was not functioning at all right from the point of boarding. Being hot weather outside, inside atmospheric conditions were just so suffocating.While the flight halted at vizag for one hour, the situations became extremely unbearable with humidity of 96%. Total travel time was of 4 hours and hence the situations were really unbearable. Air conditioning system is a basic amenity for air travel. After paying huge amount on flight, such pathetic travel conditions are totally not acceptable from such a reputed airline.

                    I was on flight AI 084 from Goa to Mumbai yesterday 16TH APRIL 2016. The flight was scheduled for 10 pm and it was delayed by an hour with no intimation from the authorities there. After the flight arrived in mumbai the luggage came on the belt after an hour after intervention and heated exchange with the employees present. they were casually chatting and least bothered about the problems the passengers were facing. Seats allotted at the time of check in was changed at the last moment. one of the worst experience faced with no apology of sorts from the careless airline AIR INDIA

                      Dear sir/madam,

                      I was booked air india flight from mumbai to rajkot.

                      Departure time was 15.50 and i reached there at 2.58 pm but still they have closed the counter.

                      As per rules it has to be closed prior 45 min of departure..

                      Secondly the method of apeaking with customer is rude because they know we are goverenment employees and nobody can dare to speak against them.

                      I am sorry to say but the female employee those are old employee are to ruse in beheviour.

                      This is normal practice of air india and most of the times old employee feel that they are not for people service but they are god ...

                      Ao painfullll.

                        Out of my two checked in bags, one bag found open and covered by poly bag and tapped during collection from belt at igi new delhi. I informed this to one airindia attendant at belt regarding baggage condition, but he assured that every thing will be ok and it is covered...

                        Hi,

                        This is mohit singhal. Air india has come up with a recent change of asking kyc documents from frequent flyer account holders which is a very good step.

                        But i think there is lot of issues and practical problems associated due which customers like us who are willing to support the programme are feeling harrassed.

                        9th mar'16 - i wanted to book tickets for my parents using my miles account but on login the site was asking information to complete kyc which is filled but the website didn't allowed me to submit the form because of multiple frequent flyers account existing on my name. I spoke to customer care and gave them multiple options to help but they were like stereo tapes saying 14days or 2weeks is our process time from day of receipt of email.

                        After that i did lot of followups and everytime i call, i am said that 14days from email date... Even now when i call it is said 14days from mail date.. But i don't know when this 14days will come though it is a month now 28days ++...

                        This is mere cheating of genuine customers by not allowing them to submit kyc forms and then later on the miles would be lapse.. Due to this we have to bear heavy flight ticket cost and feel un-previledged..

                        I hope air india will take it seriously after seeing this complaint if it reaches again.

                            I wanted to complain about the ground staff behaviour at birmingham airport name joseph he was at ticket counter. I was travelling with my 8 yrs daughter and this was the worst customer service i received not only he refused to help me he was shouting at me on top of his voice when I complained to his manager her name was hardeep or harpreet she did not listen to me and took his side by defending him and when i asked to give his full name so that i can make formal complaint she refused to do that. This person name joseph was not professional and had no courtesy. He was very rude and had no information to help me. He refused to help me straight away when i stared questioning him and left his desk. His manager did not listen what i need to say about this person and when i asked about his full name she straight away said if you want to complain his first name should be ok as if she doesn't care because she know nothing will happen i had worst experience with these people both of them had no care n customer service skills

                              On 27-Mar-2016 Air India flight AI-614 (PNR: H08EG) that was to depart from Ahmadabad at 7.30 am and arrive Mumbai at 8.55 am was delayed by approx 2 to 2.30 hrs and additional delay of 30 minutes due to no landing permission at Mumbai.
                              Due to this I could not checkin for Indigo flight 6E-513 (PNR: DYWZ7D) from Mumbai to Hyderabad which got missed that was to depart at 12.05 pm.
                              Later I had to get new ticket booked by paying additional amount of the ticket that was at 3 pm approx.

                              This is totally not acceptable.

                              I will inform all my friends/relatives/colleagues to not to travel in Air india.

                              I need compensation for the loss that I have incurred.

                                AI 550 port blair to chennai delayed by 5 hours on 22 march because of which I was unable to take my connecting flight to mumbai with my family 6E482 from chennai...I had to purchase new tickets in AI 672 costing me 21000/- for the fault of air india flight delay ...air india should compensate my full amount, let aside the mental agony my family has to go thru

                                  I have booked my Air India Flight from London Heathrow to Hyderabad which obviously had a transit through Delhi. As per my initially booked ticket I was expecting to Fly at 6:45 am to be in Hyderabad at 9:00 am to attend Good Friday's Church service with the Family but to my dismay and disappointment the Flight was cancelled and merged into AI542 which was flying at 9:50 am hence a delay of 3 hrs thereby extending my waiting time in Delhi airport to 6 hrs rather than 3 hrs and to add to the misery poor customer handling by the Air India staff and not taking any responsibility of the issue either at London or at Delhi. There wasn't any care taken to meet the needs of customer like Breakfast etc. for long wait. Irresponsible behaviour of AI staff in not intimating to me at London of the change of flight time for my transit flight to Hyderabad from Delhi. The inconvenience caused by Flight change has resulted in me missing an important family envent to attend Good Friday service. I have paid extra money to change the date and fare change to the tune of £200 and on previous occasion £305 for being late by 2 mins hence considered as "No Show".

                                  Please note that though I left a written complaint with AI staff at Delhi, I haven't had any response yet from Air India. I'm not sure of their response times.

                                  In view of the charges incurred by me for changing date or being late for baggage drop. I would expect similar kind of or suitable compensation be paid to for the incovenience caused and the poor customer care and rude response from Air India staff namely Mr Rathee at New Delhi.

                                    Hi,

                                    I took the Air India flight AI348 fro, Delhi to Shanghai on February 28. When I reached Shanghai I found out that my baggage is missing. Then immediately I raised the complaint. There was no information about the baggage for the first few days as the Air India people did not know where the baggage is. It is a really pathetic way of handling the baggage. It is highly unethical way of doing the task. It is just as if the airlines do not care about the luggage when moving it from check-in counter to the airport. It took about a week to recover the baggage as it was recovered by the Jetairways people in T3. The baggage was found on the flight area near the 9W flights. And as the Jetairways people were not knowing about the luggage as it was unattended, so they called the CISF staff to check for the potential bomb threat. The baggage was opened and scrutinized. As my uncle works there in Jet Airways and I already notified about my missing baggage to him that is why he also started looking into the issue. If he would not have been there then I think I would not have got my baggage ever. The bag was containing so many valuable stuffs. It has been such a pathetic experience that I am ashamed to say that Air India is the run by Indian Government. It has been a total harassment and need the compensation for this harassment.

                                      Sir/madam,

                                      I travelled from bhopal-delhi on 21 december, 2015 and pantnagar-delhi on 23 december, 2015 by air india. The frequent flyer code[protected] was used for booking the journey by ticket no. Etkt 098-[protected]. I got credit of miles and website booking bonus for the return journey by ai 435 from delhi to bhopal. I also got credit of miles for travel from pantnagar to delhi for travel on 23 dec., 2015 on the same ticket.

                                      However, i have not got miles and website booking bonus for travel from bhopal-delhi on 21 december, 2015 by ai 436 and website booking bonus miles for travel from pantnagar-delhi on 23 december, 2015 by ai 9816.

                                      I am regularly facing similar problem. I do not get credit of miles for all legs of journeys on the same ticket. I have written number of emails to air india. However, there is no response till date.
