I travelled from Paris to Chennai through Delhi. The booking code is NKB3LY. The flight number is AI 142 from Paris to Delhi and AI 429 from Delhi to Chennai. The flight left from Paris at 21:00 and reached Delhi at 8:30 which was late by 25 minutes and given the transfer time being reduced considerably from (1hr 40mins to 1hr 15mins (due to the delay)). When I exited the flight to catch my connecting flight, the air India authorities caught few people at random for, 'Covid tests' which wasn't specified any where before and I was charged 300 rupees for that which was okay. But, due to this, another 40 minutes were WASTED. I needed to go through immigration, collect my baggage, go through customs check, check in again and clear the security for my connecting flight in 40 minutes. But, after I completed my immigration, it was already 9:25 and I saw so many people still waiting to collect their baggage. Due to this delay, the people who had connecting flights to various locations such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc. missed the flight. But, then we were informed by the Air India authorities who themselves were late to the location that we will be getting boarding passes to the next flight which is not acceptable, totally unforgivable. On top of it, we were made to stand for an hour without any food, no prior communication about the scheduled time of next flight. WE WERE PROMISED BY YOUR AUTHORITIES THAT WE WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A DELAY CERTIFICATE, A MEAL PASS, VOUCHER.
There were total of 41 people including me who missed their connecting flight to Chennai due to YOUR mistake. We were informed by your authorities that our next flight will be at 13:35 and that we will be give boarding passes by 12:00 PM. The time was 12:00PM and still no boarding passes were issued and when we asked the authorities what was the reason for delay, they kept answering it will be ready in 5 minutes but this drama went on till 12:40 (the flight time being 13:35) and finally our boarding passes were given. But, already the place was so crowded and this should have been well planned so that we would taken that flight without any hassle. But there were fights between the airport security and your authorities because of all this drama. But, finally, we checked in. When we reached the security, the time was already 13:15 and there was too much crowd and we were in so much hurry to clear the security. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, THERE WERE SO MANY OLDER AND ELDER PEOPLE ALONG WITH US AND EVERYONE NEEDED TO GO THROUGH THIS. When we cleared the security, the time was already 1:25, we needed to rush to the gate given the time constraints which was so far from the security.
We didn't anything we were promised and besides that myself including all the other 40 people are not going to book our flights through AIR INDIA EVER AGAIN!
We didn't expect this from AIR INDIA. It was so poor and the situation was mishandled, your representative were so arrogant and all of them didn't speak English! Due to this, we had so many plans which we needed to do on Saturday but everything got messed up due to this!
I'm attaching all my boarding passes and proof of the crowd mess created by AIR INDIA!

    I, Ritu Sinha have booked a ticket on 19th August 2022 from Air India website from Delhi to Kolkata with
    PNR no. LCXR6P. My money was deducted but no ticket was issued. After calling Air India they told there has been a network issue and the money would be refunded within 14 working days. With no fault of mine, money and journey plan is being held up. I am a Senior citizen and Cancer patient.AirIndia shows no consideration to even inform the passenger when the passenger will get refund officially. I have attached the proof where its evident that the money was sent to Air India. As a Senior Citizen I want sincere apology from Air India and immediate refund.

      Hi,

      I have booked my Air India ticket on Air India website on 4th Feb 2021 from Bangalore to Muscat for 11th Feb 2021. I have cancelled my ticket by email and also on customer care on 10th Feb 2021 due to Covid cases. They have promised to refund the amount within 14-21 days however its been 18 months I haven't received yet. I have been following it up by email and also customer care call center and every time they are processing it and will be refunded within 14-21 days. I have also communicating on twitter Air India, they have promised the same again. Please see below feedback form ref numbers which they have asked to do, I have done 3 times for the same.

      After much following they have provided the ref number as below on 22nd July
      Dear Mr. Kishore, as checked with our concerned team refund has already been initiated from Air India side with RRN NO. VEP[protected]. Kindly refer to your bank for further queries.

      So far I haven't received the amount and I have asked the bank to check the RRN number above however they have mentioned they can't trace with that and requested "Dear sir,

      Please confirm the transaction debit date and from which account that transaction was done " Credit card " also share the merchant refund mail confirmation and refund amount."
      I have posted the same on twitter however they haven't responded after this.

        I've paid the amount INR 4575.00 at 7:55 AM on Monday, 22 August, 2022 for the purpose of flight booking using the UPI PAYMENT method.

        My money has been deducted from my account and the payment status is being shown as PAID.

        However when I returned to the webpage it showed an error and the request could not be processed.

        So kindly assist me getting my money i.e. INR 4575.00 back ASAP SINCE I'VE NOT ONLY LOST MY MONEY BUT MY FLIGHT BOOKING AS WELL.
        I'M A STUDENT AND ALREADY MY TIME AND MONEY ARE BEING WASTED.

        SO IT IS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO YOU KINDLY REPLY AND ASSIST ME ASAP.

          My flight was rescheduled by the airlines so for confirming if the flight has been rescheduled and wanting my refund I called their customer care thrice
          And those three times I was told three diff things
          Then I was told to contact my travel agent since I made booking through them
          And when the travel agent contacted them they said that I have confirmed the tickets and it can't be refunded which is a lie. All the three times I called to get some info, I never confirmed. Also what would I confirm? The flight timings was changed 'by the airline and I just had the option either to reschedule or get a refund.

            I have booked a ticket for my elderly patients. Booking Reference is JI8WJM. While booking 4C was a free seat and I purchased 4B by paying 1000 rupees. So that they can stay together and have access to the toilet.
            During Webcheckin, my mother seat is automatically re-allotted for 18c and 31f.
            I called customer service many times, they are saying 4C is a seat for People with infant .If it is so, why did the software seat mapping allot us 4C in the first instance? It should have only allowed people with infant. I would have purchased an alternative then itself.

            Now you are expecting the 75-plus aged elderly woman having some health issues to travel in two different seats in her journey that too without her husband.

            Air India has to really get corrections in their software for the seat allocation process. Once allocated should not be changed. Any seats reserved for Vuxen should only be allocated when they are with infants. There should prioritise the Elderly nature and accommodate them in accessible locations.

              I had booked a ticket with number[protected] from Bengaluru to SFO for July 21st which was cancelled by me on May 30th. I have been following up multiple times via email and calls and keep getting informed that the refund is done and the money will be credited in 7 to 21 days. It has been 90 days now and the money is still not credited. Also, they refuse to give the transaction reference number to check with my Bank despite repeatedly asking for the same. There is no escalation contact also for talking to on this issue. I would like my money refunded asap.

                I'm Sri Lakshmi Injam. I'd booked an international flight from Hyderabad to New Jersey on December 22nd, 2021 but I canceled my reservation and requested a refund. Despite multiple phone calls, follow up Emails and many written feedback forms I haven't gotten my refund yet. They keep saying that my money has been refunded but I haven't received any money. I've even asked them to share transaction details multiple times but they are not sharing any transaction details and they always ask me to call again. This has been going on for 8 months.

                I would like to know what's your problem in refunding my money. I need them to take immediate action on this issue and either share refund transaction details or refund my money without any delays

                  I was travelling from singapore to chennai on 6-dec-21, a week prior to my travel i had paid an additional 142 SGD on air india website for additional piece of luggage to carry my 55 inch TV. Unfortunately, on the date of my travel at the Singapore check-in counter, i was told tat the flight is narrow body and they cannot accommodate my 55inch TV though cargo door.The check-in folks told me to reach out to air india to Request the process my refund of 142 SGD. Its been 8 months and customer care team makes up excuses saying they are not able to see booking coz o[censored]pgrade.

                    With deep regret, we are writing this complaint. My wife booked an international flight ticket to Doha, Qatar through makemytrip from Air India(AI 981, E ticket No.098-[protected]), the ticket was booked for 14th February 2022.

                    She reached Cochin International airport 3 hours prior to her departure (1.15am). She completed her check in and immigration procedures and reached the boarding gate on time. Boarding was supposed to start at 12: 45 am. She heard from the other passengers that the flight was delayed and continued waiting. Around 3 am, the ground staff came and said the flight is cancelled due to technical issues and all passengers will be offloaded and sent to a hotel. They said they are repairing the flight and the new departure time will be 4. 00pm.As instructed by the ground staff they moved to the hotel and were waiting for the update. Around 12 pm one duty manager came and said flight is called off and the full amount can be refunded if we want. During that time travelling to Qatar was very difficult. we had to book hotel quarantine, take RT-PCR within 72 hours prior to departure and upload all the necessary documents to obtain Entry approval to Qatar which is valid for only 01 day. Changing the arrival date simultaneously affected the hotel quarantine, RT PCR and the entry approval.
                    As the ground staff don’t know when the next flight will be. She requested a refund.
                    She booked another flight on the next day, changed the hotel quarantine check in date, took new RT PCR and obtained entry approval for the next day. For all this we had to pay an additional around 7000rupees.

                    We were waiting for the last 06 months for the refund. until now company failed to refund my money.

                    Considering the above facts i wish to register a complaint against Air India and a compensation penalty of 10, 00, 000 Rupees for the difficulties we faced and delaying the refund.

                        Dear Air India Officials, i am writing here as I am really disappointed with the irresponsible behavior from your employees.I recently came from Dubai (AI910) to Mumbai, India. I reached Mumbai, India on August 8th, 2022 where I didn't get my baggage(Tag: AI589870) on belt. At Mumbai airport one official informed me that may be my baggage have been send in another flight. So I will get my baggage by next day, delivered to my home in 2 days. He also create a irregularity report and provide me the authority number on that. Now after 2 days I am trying to call them to understand the issue and why I have not received my baggage? But no one is picking the call and answering the call.I have no idea where my bag is, all my belongings are in the bag, and the number which was given to me goes ringing and disconnects. With that i have no clue where my bag is, when it would be delivered... i cant call anyone.. the we tracker gives the status "item located, pending confirmation" - i have no clue what that means. Please help me! this is a lot of inconvenience and i am sitting clueless, i dont know who to contact

                          There was the worst experience with Airindia and Alliance Airlines. We had an air ticket from Raipur to Jagdalpur on 21st April’2022 (PNR – YT77Y, Flight No. AI 9886). When we arrived at the airport, the airline staff told us that the flight was canceled. And that was without previous information by mail or telephone. It was very painful. And till now they don’t refund my ticket amount. When we call customer care they don’t take any responsibility for refunding my ticket amount. It is almost three months passes after cancelation.

                            1. I originally booked my ticket via airindia.in on line booking site (PNR : J9BCY) on 7th May, 2022 from JFK to Chennai (MAA) via Delhi on 21st Aug (Forward Journey) and return Journey (17th Sep), for this I paid USD 2602.29 for 3 passengers (2 Adults and 1 Kid).
                            2. Later on, due to some circumstances I called customer care center on 14th June and changed my travel date to 1st Sep (Forward Journey from JFK to Chennai- MAA) and 25th Sep (Return Journey – Chennai to JFK) for this I paid the fare difference USD 251.74. I was also issued a new PNR: R2Y729.
                            3. After that due to family emergency, I had to pre-pone my forward journey (JFK to Chennai-MAA) date from 1st Sep to 1st July, I called the Customer care center on 25th June for this I paid the amount USD 948.47. On this forward journey change I did not touch return journey as it was scheduled originally as 25th Sep.
                            4. I already flew on 1st July from JFK to Chennai (MAA) via Delhi and arrived Chennai on 2nd July safely.
                            5. Now I am in India trying to change the return journey (from Chennai – MAA to JFK) date from 25th Sep to 22nd Aug. on same origin and destination. For this I have been calling Customer care center more than 12 hrs and they are unable to change my requested date. The following few reasons they are saying,
                            a. For this PNR R2Y729 the return segment from Chennai to JFK on 25th Sep is NOT CONFIRMED, I am not sure why this was not confirmed in their system though I paid already.
                            b. In the System, it says the “COUPON STATUS” is showing as “EXCHANGED”, with this status they are saying they can’t change the date, so they asked me to contact nearest AIR INDIA office (for me which is Madurai Airport). I contacted them over phone and I was advised by the AI ticketing officer to share the PNR and they said that it’s not possible to change the date due to the “COUPON STATUS” is showing as “EXCHANGED”. They advised me to contact Customer Care center to correct this issue, now Customer Care center saying they can’t do that. They have been investigating and trying to fix but unable to do it for that past 10 days. The pain point here is, whenever I called customer care I had to explain the whole issue in the middle of conversation if my call got disconnected they don’t call me back, again I had to call and explain many times patiently. I have been with them over phone almost everyday for more than 45 mins to 1 hr without any resolution. At last I was given a case number 16826827 by one of the AI Staff member over phone. Now the status is,
                            1. My original return date which was 25th Sep was not confirmed despite I paid in USD and
                            2. they are unable to change the return date from 25th Sep to 22nd Aug.
                            With the above situations the air fare is going up day by day and finally I am anticipating I would end up paying hefty amount because of their system issue. AIR India is not going to reimburse any amount due to the system issue or failure of providing the resolution.
                            I was advised by Customer Care center to submit a feedback which I did submit. The feedback (WB-IIXM[protected]) via AIR INDIA web site and no response.
                            I want a resolution on my issue which is part of AIR INDIA System, and I would like to start my travel on desired date (22nd Aug). but at this moment they are unable to provide resolution.

After that I have called to call center they told All is o.k and they gave REF: VGEXLM saying varified And will get PNR and Ticket number by two hours.

                              But Today I searched Shocked to found No Records. Then Again I called to same call center ‪[protected]‬ but they saying by one hour they will send all to
                              my emai : [protected]@gmail.com my contact no: [protected]. But I did nt receive.

                                after re-schedule and extra payment of Rs 8640+9 (Rs 8649), provided ticket is not validate and our passenger Mr. Rabin Kumar Singh not travel. Abu Dhabi Airport authority has decline to travel of this passenger because provided ticket is invalid. he as ticket is confirm but payment not updated and ticket is not issue.

                                  I am Mini Thomas.I residing at New Hyde Park, New York.I book a return ticket to travel Kochi from JFK New York and Kochi to JFK New York.I purchased the ticket from Air India website on 4th November 2021 and paid $983.63 by credit card.My traveling date was from JFK to Kochi on 7thJanuary 2022 and return was 1st february 2022.Unfortunately I am not able to travel this time so I cancelled the ticket on 2nd January 2022.That time from the ticketing department, they told me you will get the refund after 21 days after deducting the cancellation fees $200.After that I contacted several times by phone and email they are responding me and I did not get the refund.Please do the necessary action for my refund.I attachedthe ticket details and communication evidence to the company.

                                    I had booked 4 air india tickets 3 with Akbar travels and one with Air India directly. Departure was of yesterday 7:10 flight from bengaluru to Mumbai. I reached Airport around 5:54 as i was already running late i left my mother in law (patient) with the porter and ran to the counter. I asked for wheel chair then i went directly to one of Air India staff (Sapna) and showed my tickets and also asked her if check in is possible since my flight is at 7:10 & whether i can go and collect my mother in law with the porter. The staff Sapna said i can so i left with the porter to pick my mother in law leaving my 10 year old daughter with the luggage. When i left she told my daughter you can check in after your mom comes. Later on when i came she wasn’t on counter so i went to the next counter. There they told me I’m already late. I requested them saying im going for my mother in law’s treatment but all in vain. Mr Abdul Mateen twisted everything and Sapna also denied later on saying that she doesn’t remember anything as she has to attend many passengers in a day. How did she forget assisting me 20 minutes before . Mr. Mateen too twisted the whole thing and blamed me for everything and told me I’ll check CCTV etc. Im ok with it you can check CCTV and see i had word with Sapna if counter was closed why did she asked me to get my mother in law from outside. Why did she tell my daughter you can check in once your mom is back. Was she day dreaming or what? Mr mateen told me we staff are particular about time than why did your staff tell me earlier if i was late. I would have checked in my bags and then later went to pick up my mother in law. I pleaded alot but unfortunately the Air india staff is so rude and pathetic infact one of their staff told me why don’t you book indigo 😃

                                    I was going for my mother in law’s treatment and its sad that due to such irresponsible staff i had to not only miss my flight but also bare the extra taxi charges which costed my around 3k.

                                    I would like you to investigate this matter seriously as this very well proves the careless behavior of Air India staff.

                                    in law’s MIR reports that we did 3-4 days back which i showed and requested them. But how heartless the staff was i have no words.

                                      I had booked 4 air india tickets 3 with Akbar travels and one with Air India directly. Departure was of yesterday 7:10 flight from bengaluru to Mumbai. I reached Airport around 5:54 as i was already running late i left my mother in law (patient) with the porter and ran to the counter. I asked for wheel chair then i went directly to one of Air India staff (Sapna) and showed my tickets and also asked her if check in is possible since my flight is at 7:10 & whether i can go and collect my mother in law with the porter. The staff Sapna said i can so i left with the porter to pick my mother in law leaving my 10 year old daughter with the luggage. When i left she told my daughter you can check in after your mom comes. Later on when i came she wasn’t on counter so i went to the next counter. There they told me I’m already late. I requested them saying im going for my mother in law’s treatment but all in vain. Mr Abdul Mateen twisted everything and Sapna also denied later on saying that she doesn’t remember anything as she has to attend many passengers in a day. How did she forget assisting me 20 minutes before .
