      Respected sir/madam
      I booked my ticket through air India on 2 Dec 2021 and my travel date was 24th December 2021 from Toronto - Delhi - Ahmedabad.

      I canceled my ticket and requested a refund. it's more than 6 months I am waiting for my refund but have not received a refund. I called multiple time to customers service for my refund every time and got the same answer you need to wait.
      I filled out my feedback form on 27th March 2022 on-air India regarding my refund
      The reference number of the feedback form is - WB-IYYZ[protected]
      furthermore, the last time I called customer service and requested that please transfer my call to higher authorities regarding my refund, customer service simply cut my call by saying that I'm transferring your call. this is the worst experience I had with customer service
      I want you to take action against the person

        Refund still not received 8 months later

        I have purchased 2 flight tickets, attached, in November and December 2021, which we cancelled, filled in feedback forms and called numerous times but 8 months later we still haven’t received any refund.

        Every time I call, customer service says that I will receive the refund in 7 to 14 days, but sure enough, still haven’t received this refund. This is pure incompetence and a resolution needs to be found ASAP.

        Dear Sir,

        I have to come to this to write my grievance here since I don't have any other options left.

        We booked our India travel from Delhi to Melbourne, Australia for 26th April 2020. However, due to the unprecedented COVID situation, we couldn't travel for almost 2 years as borders were shut down and COVID situation was very uncertain. I requested for refund in 2020 as soon as I found out that we cant travel but I never received any response. I was not able to connect to AI by any mode as they all were showing not in service. AI online portal displayed notification for all COVID-affected passengers that those tickets can be used in some way again to book the tickets once the travel resumes. In 2022, when things seems normal and borders were open, we started to plan our India travel again. We tried to reach out to their customer service numbers (given here www.airindia.in/customer-support.htm) but it is next to impossible to connect to them. I raised many requests through their Feedback portal (www.airindia.in/feedback-form.htm) but all we received is acknowledgment but no resolution. Melbourne Air India office told us they cant help us since we booked the ticket online. We tried to escalate it through [protected]@airindia.in but they responded saying it cant be refunded since its been more than 15 months (I had also requested refund within 15 months window but received no response). I dropped follow-up emails but again, no response. Their phones are not connected either.

        We are travelling to India almost after 5 yrs but we are not able to reuse the tickets we booked with AI. We were misled by the airlines that it can refunded/credited and now left stranded without being able to connect to them. Its frustrating and is causing undue mental stress to the family.

        I have attached the eTicket and cancellation request email here but I can provide all the email communications if needed.
        Any help to resolve this matter to get the refund back is highly appreciated.

          On 11th June 2022 we had a ticket of our family of 3 but the Air India airport staff couldn't scan my passport in their system and after struggling for 2.5 hours at the air india counter they handed us over boarding pass of my husband and child and told me to get GDFRA for me alone at the last moment which was not a requirement but still we applied but did not get response immediately... Then the Air India DM on floor advised me to book Emirates flight and fly to Dubai as there you will not face any issue and apply for refund online for Air india ticket and get full refund for it..I asked him if he can write and give me something for applying for refund, he denied and said there is no need, you just apply online and you will get the refund. So I had to book a ticket worth Rs.23300 and at Emirates counter there was no problem in scanning the passport and no GDFRA was asked. My husband had to fly along with my child leaving me behind inspite of my child crying and nagging as he did not wish to travel without me, they both also had to wait at Dubai airport till I reached there with Emirates for 3 to 4 hours...it was a mental trauma for all 3 o[censored]s...
          Now when we have requested online for refund to Air india they are replying saying it was a NOSHOW and we cannot refund and get it written from the Air india staff, we are based in Dubai and how can we go back get it written from them. this is mere cheating on their behalf. They have issue with their system and we have to suffer mental torture at the counter for 3 hours and then rush to buy other ticket and spend double the amount. I request you to please intervene and get me my refund of the Air India ticket plus the Emirates ticket which was an extra cost unnecessary.

              I booked a round trip ticket from Chennai to Hyderabad on 21/03/2022 through the agency EASEMYTRIP. I cancelled my tickets on the same day i.e., 21/03/2022.

              I received full refund from Indigo Airlines for my return journey ticket through EASEMYTRIP vide PNR -NWF7HT (Partial refund: Rs.718/- on 21/03/2022 & Balance refund: Rs. 3000/- on 23/03/2022). However, a full refund for my onward journey booked with Air India is YET TO BE RECEIVED.

              I request the Airlines to refund the full amount on cancellation as was done by Indigo. I would like to bring to your kind notice that denying full refund by Airlines is in violation of the Ministry of Civil Aviation's Passenger Charter wherein it is stated that -"You can cancel or amend the ticket without any additional charges, within 24 hours of booking the ticket. This facility is available up to 7 days prior to the specified flight departure on the first leg".

              I have sent a lot of mails so far but no action is taken. The struggle is going on since 21st March, 2022. Air India please take action or I'll be forced to go to court of Law and make you pay a hefty penalty.

                    Problem:
                    Total weight of baggage: 65 kgs, including 0 cabin bags
                    Check-in weight permissible as per booking: 50 Kgs (25kgs * 2)

                    No concession in weight given as we had no hand luggage for the cabin. Second, we were charged 1200 per KG which should ideally be 600 per KG. The reason for the extra 600 per KG is the transit flight, which I did not choose but was forced to do so, as there was no direct flight.

                    The staff behaviour was very rude and they has separate counters for weighing and billing making one person to run across the airport.

                    Descriptive:

                    We were two people flying from BLR to VNS. While booking we got no direct flight so we had to book a transit flight from Mumbai. We choose AI as it was giving us the maxm baggage weight option(25 kgs each).
                    We have a total of 65 kgs with us and no extra cabin bag, as we had all marriage shopping items in different suitcase.
                    Problem: We got no concession even we had 7.5kgs each cabin baggage weight left. Second, as it was a transit flight, we were asked to pay 1200 extra for each KG, which ideally should be 600 per KG.

                      The reschedule of the flight from SYD-DEL followed by DEL-MAA (booked as connecting flights) was intimated by the third party travel agency only, not Air India. After several calls to customer care, they responded stating that the airline isn't responsible to provide any arrangements in case of delays for an Economy passenger. On checking in at Sydney Airport, the personnel stated that they weren't sure about anything and that they did not work with Air India. Questions included, lounge access, accomodation arrangements, baggage handling- all arising as a result of the delayed flights with the passenger having to stay at Delhi airport to travel to Chennai the next morning. On the flight itself, the in-flight entertainment didn't work throughout the journey. Perhaps, a third of the passengers screens worked on the flight, I wasn't one of them. The air hostess tried rebooting it several times but to no success. I let that go too. On reaching Delhi airport, nobody was there to direct us, so I tagged along with another passenger to find our way to immigration and guessed that we had to pick up our luggage, then in search of an "Air India transit desk" which we were told about at Sydney airport. We made our way down and finally found a counter, the first person said we could check in our bags and go to the lounge on the second floor. There were a few frustrated passenger ahead in the line with similar and worse issues with their journey with Air India. After the ling wait, the girl checking us in mentioned that the lounge is only for business class passengers and wrote the name of an outlet in the food court where we could get refreshments. This was at 9:30 p.m. after travelling a 12-13 hr flight. She then mentioned that there would be breakfast available. Our boarding time was 04:55 a.m. It was quite puzzling to understand who eats breakfast before this hour. A co- passenger sarcastically asked if we were expected to sleep on the floor to which the Air India agent stated sure if it makes you comfortable and then said that she was just going as per policy. She then said that they could arrange for accomodation at a hotel 3-5 kms from the airport but it wouldn't be recommended as we'd need to leave the airport with our luggage and again check- in at the domestic terminal; also that the check in counter will close 3 hours before the flight(never heard of this either, that too for a domestic flight). Out of frustration, disbelief and shock, we just checked in our luggage and left to check the Air India lounge. There were only 2 elderly people sitting in there, but were refused to be seated there even after offering a payment for the same. We ended up going to the Premium lounge next to it and paying a huge sum to freshen up and relax in the lounge including a buffet. At no given point, did any Air India personnel apologise for the confusion. At all touch points, I was asked to provide the itinerary because they weren't aware of the impending delays and passengers stranded as a result of this. The fact that not a single soul from the company empathised or were even aware was so upsetting and emotionally draining. I was so confident and excited to travel by Air India, especially after Tata taking over, but after the way things were handled and the communication- blatantly stating that you've "just booked and economy ticket" doesn't mean anything. Air India is in no way marketing or selling themselves as a budget airline, so it is not an excuse to mistreat passengers who aren't flying business class. Considering it is an international makes it that much more concerning. Flights being delayed is a common and expected issue with any airline, this is a given; how it is handled and in this case what was so poor ruined the experience and was a disheartening arrival back home.

                        I booked a ticket n need to cancel straight away as it shows 78000 but money was taken as 180000 as in bhat.

                        Waiting for the refund, no one is helping.

                        Need to confirm when it will be disbursed into my account..

                        Staff is not at all helpful.

                          We are family of 4 traveled from New York to Delhi (Fri Jun 17th)on Virgin Atlantic and from Delhi to Chennai on Air India (Sun Jun 19th) . As per Virgin Atlantic our luggage's are checked in to our final destination which was confirmed by Air India counter at Delhi Airport. But before boarding AI flight to Chennai we were told all our luggage's were not checked in and it will be sent on the next flight. Its been 2 weeks now - I traveled with a 6 year old with all his necessities in those checked in luggage(s). I had called, emailed, tweeted but haven't got a response on when they are planning to send all our luggage(s). I don't know what to do - hopefully there are authorities who can look at it and communicate to us why the delay and when they can send it. With half our vacation over - yet no sign from AI.

                            This is to inform you that one of your representatives booked two Air India Flights for me on my behalf. I received the payment links through email and I was then asked that I will be receiving pdf of both the tickets within 15-20 min.

                            Those 15-20 min have now been changed to 15-20 hours and still I have not received any tickets. I have been fed up with calling and explaining this case to multiple Air India Customer representatives and above all they cut calls post 2 min without resolving any query.

                            I too have a case Id for it.

                              I booked a ticket of Rs. 41, 000 from Delhi to Geneva for 30th of June 2021. The flight was via Frankfurt, Germany. Due to covid restrictions, Germany declined any transfers for Indians. However, no such notification was given to me by the Airline.
                              When I reached the Delhi airport, the airline executive denied me the boarding at 12 a.m. in the night.
                              I requested them to please reroute my flight through Paris in 2 days but they denied saying that only flights on same route can be rerouted for different dates.
                              I had to book a brand new flight via Paris for Rs. 44, 000.

                              Afterwards, I contacted Air India whether I can get a refund, when they told me that the refund costs are very less as under their records I did not show up for the flight. I explained to them that I did show up, but they did not let me board.

                              I asked the airline to reissue the ticket on same route within one year, as their executive told me. When I contacted them, they told me that my ticket had been purged and I need to put a cancellation request instead because a purged ticket cannot be reissued.

                              I was told that this is the only option I have, and so I cancelled the ticket believing that at least some of my money will be refunded.

                              When I put the cancellation request, I received a mere refund od Rs 1576. This amount is 3.7% of the original amount.
                              I fail to understand how without any fault, I had to pay Rs. 40, 000 for a mistake that was completely the airline's fault.

                              I am disappointed and feel cheated by this airline. I expect justice not only in the form of my money but also to put a hefty fine on air india for duping their loyal customers like that. This is a state run airline and that is why we put our trust in it. If the state is cheating it's citizens like that, then who can we trust?

                                Hi,

                                I have traveled to Dublin, Ireland from Hyderabad, India Using Airindia along with Lufthansa. My issue was I have bought excess baggage for the whole trip from Hyderabad to Dublin in the Airindia Counter Hyderabad. When I reached to board Lufthansa in Mumbai I came to know that my PNR was not updated to Lufthansa and also you have charged the wrong amount. I have again paid another amount to Lufthansa in order to onboard my journey.

                                    I arrived from Lon to Kochi on 22nd June in business class. Upon collection the bag, I noticed several damages including but not limited to one strap was loose and locking of the strap broken. I draw the attention to the officer on duty near the conveyor belt and informed me following his quick look at " can't do anything" He even refuse to record my complain . I wrote several emails to contactus but no response including customer service...

                                    I have been trying to reschedule the flight for my wife and kid for more than 2 weeks, I tried calling Air India customer support more than 10 times but I am still not able to reschedule my flight because of various reasons like call drop, and errors in the system. One of the associates raised a ticket and assured me that I will get a call back from the technical team but no response. Flight prices have gone up significantly in the past 2 weeks.
