Hi, I've booked 2 flight tickets with Air India through Orbitz that
had free cancellation policy applicable due to Pandemic. The
merchants assured free cancellation with full refund during make
the reservations. Due to the Pandemic reasoning, flights were
cancelled due to the destinations travel ban. On calling the
customer support they cancelled the flights and informed I would
receive refund in 15-21 days. They simply use to say to wait for
few days and kept delaying on every call. Since cancellation in
2021 I am trying for a refund. Either the Air India agents
disconnects the call, says it is under processing, says to reach out
to my travel agent who booked the ticket. While I reach out to the
travel agent Orbitz they tell me that Air India is not responding &
ask me to reach out to them, say they cannot do anything until
they receive response from Air India. Air India customer support
is frustrating, they simply disconnect calls while I wait for hours to
at least get connected to an agent. They give random answers
and disconnect calls when I ask them to resolve this issue. It's been going on for more than year now. I didn't receive response from either of them.
They both blame each other. Air India is supposed to respond to travel agents email for approval for refund but they didn't respond. I was cc'd/copied in the email and hence understood that Air India is not responding/resolving

The two flight tickets itinerary details are below:
1.) Itinerary :[protected], Booking ID: TQ45VP, eticket :[protected]
2.) Itinerary : [protected], Booking ID: 3XHFXQ, e-ticket :[protected]

I kept following up both sides. In some cases Air India give me case id like 15138489, 97366148. They still keep dragging, giving different explanation every time I call them. I've paid huge amount for the flight tickets and didn't receive any refund/credit. It is so disappointing, disturbing as they give me different reasons to follow up and no one really cares. I'm left with no help & looking for justice here. I'm out of options as they kept postponing till date for months, passing more than a year. I'm looking for a full refund as mentioned initially.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    We had previously booked e tickets through a travel agent ([protected]) from London, Heathrow to Cochin, Kerala on the 4th of August 2022. We paid £1187 per person, so the total we paid was £3558 for the tickets. We received booking confirmation for the tickets as well as the e tickets for this. However when we called yesterday, we were notified that the e tickets weren’t valid by the customer and had been cancelled due to price change and we’re advised to contact our travel agent. When we contacted them they said that our booking was confirmed, however we raised this concern with them and they suddenly said the booking was cancelled due to price changes with Air India and needed to pay an extra £168. We were not notified of this in any way, we didn’t receive any emails about this sudden change. As a result we asked for a refund for our payments, however the travel agency tried to take money from our account instead, luckily we had used an account with no money in it and no transactions were made thankfully for them to take any more money. We eventually had to contact our bank (Barclays) to raise a dispute. I’m just raising a complaint today to make sure no one else gets conned in this way and to be careful o[censored]nknown travel agents.

      I booked tickets for delhi to vadodara (round trip) on 6th August 2022 and return on 8th August 2022 for 7, 702 Rs.

      After booking the tickets within five minutes I applied for rescheduling of my ticket for the same flights just dates were 13 August and 16 August.

      They charged Rescheduling charges 5, 250 Rs, for just five minutes they charged this much.

      This is INSANE.

        Had booked a newark- mumbai ticket for my daughter.Cancelled due to death in the family.
        Was assured a 100% refund. Despite uploading the relevant documents upto 15 times, these cheaters say they cant ‘trace the documents’.
        One one hand on social media they say, it has been refunded.

          I booked the tickets from Dubai to Nagpur for 29th July but they cancelled the Delhi to Nagpur flight. We are waiting at the Delhi airport in front of the assistance counter of Air India but none of the executive was ready to help us in a good manner they are providing us tickets for 31st July but not the accommodations we can’t wait at the airport for the full day and also the staff here specially Mr Pathania and Miss bhagyalaxmi both of them were very rude and was not helpful. Refund service is not available here as we are ready for the refund in cash. the customer service Center of air India is a totally waste of time none of them is answerable they are saying I am not authorise to this. I did not expect this from Air India. Service at the assistance desk is very third class I will never travel again from air India and will recommend this to others as well.

            In brief, on 13 Nov 2021, we booked our tickets for travel (LHR to ATQ) on 6th Dec 21 and paid £2, 387.94. On 30th Nov, we changed and upgraded to business class for travel on 7th Feb 2022 and paid additional £1, 757.18. So the total paid for this journey is £4, 145.12. The changes were due to COVID 19.

            On 15th Jan 2022, I called and wanted to cancel the tickets ( again because of COVID related self-isolation rules in India). During discussions, I was advised that ours was an open ticket and we can rebook up until 30 Nov 2022 without any penalties but will have to pay the fare difference. The call was made around 3.15pm UK time so please free to verify.

            So far so good but the nightmare started in May 22! I checked online for available dates ( 6th Nov to 28th Nov- however we are flexible) and prices- the rate that time was showing less than what we paid. So called your office and they could not find our booking ! We were asked to call back which I did several times. I was promised a call back from Managers on several occasions ( 27th May by Kishna, 3rd June by Satnam, 4th June by Muskan) but did not receive any call.

            So yesterday ( call time 13.56hrs to 14.25 hours UK time), I tried again and spoke to a nice lady, Rituja, who was very helpful. However, she asked for Rs221, 000 to change our tickets ( 135k for penalty and 86k for fair difference). I explained to her about not being subject to penalty and as far as fare difference is concerned- I have been trying to call since when there was no fare difference so you should not penalize me because of your system issues.

            Then other option I explored was to cancellation charges- she was unable to help as I don’t have a six digit PNR ( ?? you never provided me that)

            Anyway, Rituja said that her Manager will call me back in five minutes- It has been over over 26 hours and I have not heard anything.

              This Feedback form is dating back to 6th of May 2022.

              I tried to book a ticket from Mumbai to Mangalore on 3rd of May. The intended date of travel was 13 of May 2022, AI 679. The ticket was not issued but the amount was deducted from my account. I contacted the bank and they have advised that the vendor has received the amount.

              Over the past 2 months I have called AirIndia customer support multiple times, atleast 25 calls in last 2 months. Every time I get the same response that they’ll look into it, but I have not received the refund till date.

                I would like to bring to your kind notice that I have booked a seat in Air-India flight AI-9675 through makemytrip website from Mumbai to Keshod on 12/06/2022. But, unfortunately, the flight on the said date was cancelled by Air-India and I was assured by Air-India staff to credit the flight ticket charges Rs.2665/- into my bank account within a week's time, but till date neither Air-India nor makemytrip has done so since one and half month.

                I request you to kindly accept my complaint and demand Air-India/Makemytrip to credit my refund amount back into my Canara bank account.

                  Hi There. I took a flight from Toronto to Delhi and Delhi to Chennai on July 13. My first flight was terrible, my inflight entertainment wasn’t working and it was a 15+ flight and I had no means of entertainment not to mention the crew were absolutely great and really felt welcomed but it did not offset my basic expectation. To be honest, I paid 4000K CAD*(double the charge than usual economy) because I booked it at the last minute trusting Air India, well I could have gone with your competitors but I chose you. Anyway, I also have another flight back to Toronto on 16 th of Aug, I don't want to be that guy asking for compensation but I need my seat to be in Business class. FYI I am a frequent traveller. I Hope Air India will not disappoint me. I would appreciate your gesture if you could do this for me.

                  Update on this- i reachedout to [protected]@airindia.in with above message they were like we cannot do any upgrade or help or no compensation i am like what the hell, Such a Pathetic Airline, i regret booking with airindia. I am going to tell my friends to never with this company

                    I booked to travel HYD to JFK and JFK to HYD with PNR H5X0F-PNR
                    My return journey was on 20th May 2022.In March 2022 i called air india customer service, requested for cancel and keep open my return ticket.On july 12 th of 2022 i requested for refund of retrun journey ticket for 2 passengers.But unfortunately airindia could send Rs.6120 as refund for worth of Rs.69, 300 of return journey from JFK to HYD.
                    On what basis they calculated the refund as Rs.6120 ?
                    I request airindia to look into matter and justify to refund my remaining amount at the earliest.

                      My name is Shaid yaseen Shareef, I booked flight tkt from Imphal to bangalore due to heavy rains my official program cancelled n i tried to prepone my flight it didn't happen and i cancelled my flight ticket on[protected] at that time airindia customer care person told me my ticket cancellation charges will be Rs. 3500+GST n remaining amount will be refunded to ur account. Till now[protected] i didn't get any refund from airindia. When I called customer care today i.e.[protected] they are saying my ticket cancellation fee is Rs. 12000 change which is my flight ticket total amount Rs. 13, 236/- how can it be possible. Please refund my amount as per cancellation fee when they said Rs. 3500+GST. I am attaching my tkt.

                        I booked flight tickets on 21 July 2022 for two passengers named as Mr. Deepak Bhatt and Mrs Bhawana Bhatt to travel from London to Delhi on 23 September 2022 and return flight date is on 6 November 2022.

                        The booking reference is LLJBJD and flight number is AI134 on 23 September 2022(London to Delhi), AI839 on 6 November 2022(Delhi to Hyderabad) and AI147 on 7 November 2022(Hyderabad to London).

                        For this booking Air India deducted £1520.32 twice from my Bank account.

                        Please return the extra deduction amount to the account.

                          I book four ticket airindia flight no AI-888 pnr no is JYVC6 blr to delhi 31/05/2022 booking date is 17/05/2022 and cancel date is also same by air india agent with full refund but refund come after cancellation charges apply. Many times I complaint against air india. But not resolve . 1) khamosh ticket no[protected] sunil kumar[protected] sandeep Sangwan[protected] hansika sangwan[protected] . I fill the feedback form also . What i can do now .

                              Hello myself rakshith mohan i had booked my flight through air india on march last year, i had canceled the flight because my international travel got rescheduled, after cancellation i waited for 1 month after that i did calls and put mails to air india customer care, everytime i asked them they used to tell you will recieve in 2 days or 1 week and made it 1 year i have still not received my refund, they all are scammers I request everyone that please dont book your flights via air india they are scammers and they have very low grade customer support.

                                Myself, my wife and my son were travelling to Riyadh from Ahmedabad. We had an excess of one bag and Air India charged us 14660 INR upto Riyadh. but air India staff issued the manual ticket for the excess baggage. Air India staff told us at the counter that you still need to do re-checking at Mumbai airport.
                                The Saudi airline did not accept the manual excess baggage ticket as it was not showing in their electronic system. they do not accept manuals hence we paid again for the one excess bag.

                                Before traveling from ahmedabad, the counter of Air India staff told us that your entire one excess baggage is paid upto Riyadh and if you get trouble then we will refund you the entire amount.
                                I request you to refund the entire amount with the same card which I paid from.

                                For your reference, I have attached the excess baggage ticket from Air India, plus an excess baggage ticket from Saudi airline and boarding pass.

                                  I had a horrible flight of 14 hours from Sydney to Delhi where the infotainment system was not working and cabin crew was ignorant and rude to respond to my request.
                                  While travelling back from Delhi to Sydney I missed to take my visa printout and when I checked with the airlines they were not helpful at all. When I reached out to Indian ticket booking counter the staff started saying the airline is taken over by TATA and we cannot help which was surprising and could not make any connection to the assistance which I required and the behaviour which was shown by the staff.

                                  Request you to please take action so that the future passengers/customers do not suffer from what I have been through.

                                      I am travelling from Hyderabad to Toronto.One of my check-In luggage bag didn't come with me on my flight.

                                      After 2 days my bag got delivered to my home and I found out my laptop been missing from the bag.

                                      When I checked with airline, they are just pointing fingers at Delhi airport and Delhi airport blaming airlines for it.And no one was able to provide me accurate information.

                                      Its my work laptop and it belongs to the company I work for.And it is so frustrating that the airlines not at all helpful on this.

                                      If anyone could help me on this situation would be great.

                                        Hope this time I will get a proper response from AirIndia :)

                                        I had a flight from BBI- Delhi - Chicago - charlotte in April 25 and 26.

                                        The flight from Delhi to Chicago was scheduled to dispatch at 2:25 am but it got delayed to 11 am. Again it got delayed and scheduled for 2 pm . Again it got delayed finally it departed from Delhi on 8 pm on April 26( initials scheduled 2:25 am). 18 hour delay.

                                        Due to delay at Delhi airport also caused missing the connection flight from Chicago to Charlotte. My Chicago to Charlotte flight was scheduled on 26 April at 10:25 am but delayed to 27 April 7:15 am.

                                        5 of my bags were missing and I got them after 1 week and some of my items also damaged.

                                        Now for my insurance claim my insurance company requesting the below documents. Could you please please provide the below documents.

                                        1 - Revised boarding pass or flight itinerary( the boarding pass I got has time 11am but actually the flight got departed at 8pm. We have not got updated boarding passes)

                                        2. Documentation from the airline confirming the reason for the flight delay

                                        3. A report from airline regarding my delayed bag and when I received it.
