Hi,

I booked my Air India domestic flights in March 2020 for travel of April2020 dates. The flights are cancelled by Govt of India and advised the ticket price will be refunded . I am following up air india from past 8 months and there is no update of refund. Unfortunately there is no way to change travel date as still the flight is not resumed completely in this route.

    SUBJECT : Grievance mail on a serious note.

    Am writing this mail to address serious concern regarding rude and insulting behavior by Air India personnel at Chennai.
    My intention of writing this mail is not to make him loose his job as I know how much important anybody's job is in pandemic situation as families depend on them.
    My reason for writing this is to help other people who have and might face the same issue which I did.
    Also am writing it after 2 days as I did not wanted to write a mail in anger or in an emotional state of mind, I have taken time to calm myself down so that whatever I write is not with emotions which was hurted by such personnel but with clear consciousness.

    Two days back, on 22nd January 2021, AIATSL conducted walk-in interview at Air India Staff Housing Colony, Meenambakkam, Chennai 600 027.
    Mr Kidiyone was one of the person who was incharge of initiating interview process.
    Firstly nothing was in systematic way at the venue, all different designations were mixed up in different queues, no one was knowing who should go to which queue.
    Because of this confusion, I had approached Mr Kidiyone to ask where should I be submitting my documents as I was not knowing.
    For which he rudely commented by saying "Get out of the hallroom first and sit outside"
    This was very strange remark but I ignored as I thought he might be tired of doing this work since morning.

    After so many hours when my turn came to submit the documents, had to face the same person Mr Kidiyone.

    After taking my documents, he asked for my number of years of expereince. When I told him, he shouted at me by saying
    " cant you see am calculating" "dont try to teach me" "am an Air India staff not working for you"
    I felt very embarrassing as others were sitting behind me.
    After seeing my documents he again commented rudely that " why do you people come for Air India interview
    I almost cried as it was the most embarrassing and disrespectful moment at an interview venue.

    He then went away for a while and sent GM(General Manager)
    As I was crying and trying to control my tears, GM asked me what happened.
    When I told him, GM too says strange thing.
    He said " you guys have come from outside station . need to adjust such things "
    Rather than solving the issue he was more behind Demand Draft and was telling me to ignore everything and give him the demand draft.
    When I said my DD was in check-in bags which was with my younger sister, he shouted at her and asked her to get out of the campus.
    When I said she is new to Chennai, unaware of local language and requested for permission for her to be near the gate at least, GM says he is maintaining social distance method to prevent covid-19 hence she cannot stand near the gate also. (Please refer to the attached picture of interview venue; if GM is so much concerned about social distance only during my conversation with him then what about others who were in the queue as shown in the picture; aren't they supposed to be maintaining social distancing)

    Am winding up here, as the mail is already too long.
    Never at any interview venue have I face such disrespectful behaviours by personnels conducting interviews.
    I cried a lot because of these two person who were showing an attitude of dominance on candidates just because they know they are Air India employees, a job all dream of.

    I do not know their names, nobody was giving me their names when i tried asking other staff members.
    Someone said his name is kidiyone, am not sure whether that's his name.
    While leaving when I was clicking my sister's picture saw him passing by; in the clicked picture his image is also captured who was passing by, forwarding the same to concerned team, to show the person who did all this.
    GM's name and photo I do not have, but as only one GM would be there so it should be easy to find out who he is.

    Am requesting just for one thing,
    Please do not keep such people to be member of interview pannel or let it be for smallest task of the entire interview process.
    As their rude behaviour and irresponsible attitude of bullying would hurt more such candidates and would create a very bad image for Air India.
    Any candidate would be hurt more due to such insults rather than not getting a job at an interview.
    Not clearing an interview is acceptable as all know you may or may not get a job in an interview, but facing bullying and hurtful comments is unexpected and discouraging.

    I still dont know why he was behaving in this way with me; may be he was frustrated due to full day work or may be he was not in a good mood.
    Whatever may be the reason, but all it caused was tears in a candidates eyes and disliking for AirIndia.

    Every Air India employee wears an Air India uniform which represents our country's national pride. Do not let Air India's respect go away in common man's eyes because of people like Kidiyone and GM.

      I have made a lot of requests with customer care, ecommerce regarding rescheduling of my Booking Ref Z988L from Delhi to chennai scheduled for 17th May 2020. I wish to reschedule the same but I don't have the eticket details as the same was not mailed to me. I had given the transaction details, SMS fwdd etc but to no avail I contacted the numbers [protected] and [protected] but no one responded despite repeated attempts. I really don't know where to go. I have been trying to contact since May 2020

        Dear Customer service,

        With a heavy heart I am submitting this complaint for the delay in getting refund from Air India and the casual attitude shown by Air India personnel.
        I had booked in Air India flight from Bangalore to Coimbatore on 21 Sept.'20. The details of the booking are as under:
        NAME: MAGGE RAMANATHAN ANILKUMAR
        PNR NO. ZD6FC
        TKT NO.[protected]
        FLIGHT NO. AI 9511
        DEPART FROM BANGALORE
        ARRIVAL AT COIMBATORE
        DATE OF DEP. 21.9.20
        TIME OF DEP. 7.55AM
        DATE OF ARR. 8.40AM

        REFUND AMOUNT: RS 3584/-

        The flight was cancelled by Air India for operational reasons and promised to refund the amount.

        I had written the complaint to customer care Air India on 21 Sept.'20. and they directed me to write to another section for refund.
        I did so and I get a reply from Air India saying since I have booked my tickets thro GOIBIBO, I need to take up with GOIBIBO!!!
        I did that promptly too .
        GOIBIBO sent a reply based on the reply received from Air India, stating the refund will be credited to my account on 19 January'21, a delay of 4 months!!
        I kept writing to Air India asking for an explanation for the 4 month delay in receiving refund for a flight cancelled by Air India. I kept getting standard preformed replies from various personnel of Air India Customer care. It was so frustrating dealing with them to get back the refund.

        On 19 January, the status on GOIBIBO was updated stating that refund will be received by me during 15-20 March 2021, a delay of 2 more months for no reason!!!

        I sincerely request you to help me in getting my refund on priority and I have taken a pledge not to use AIr India at all in Future and I will advise my family and friends also to refrain from using Air India ever.
        Please help.

          I had booked a ticket from DXB- COK for 21-May-2020. The ticket fare was almost 11000 AED (which is equal to INR 21, 2852 as per today's conversion rate.
          Unfortunately I was unable to travel due to the restrictions amidst the pandemic.
          I would like to get a full refund for my ticket at the earliest.
          I already had raised a ticket (No:[protected] at Air India customer complaint forum on 6th-Dec-2020, still I have not received any refund.
          I am desperately waiting for the refund so as to book another ticket to my hometown.
          Please help.

            As per Air India policy, they should submit the request for a refund to the credit card issuer within 7 business days of receiving my completed request for a refund, mentioned on the website. If that the case, why it been over 6 months 13 days to get my refund? I have canceled my spouse's ticket (Mrs. Aishwarya M; Ticket #:[protected] on 7th July 2020. I happen to receive the same content of emails from eCommerce helpdesk that the refund has been initiated and the amount will be credited in 3-4 weeks. By understanding the pandemic situation, I was patiently for the refund and had hope that I will receive my money but as usual, nothing happened. Then I approached Air India customer care service, they have initiated my case ID: 06938989 and gave me refund reference number: 098C214395LR8, and said me to be in touch with the bank. As we approached the bank representative, they clearly say there is no such transaction initiated and an incorrect refund reference number. It’s bothering me as my total trip cost is INR 77, 065.

              Hi,
              I booked the flight from UK travel to Kathmandu, Nepal booked on 16 Feb 2020 to fly on 26 March 2020, because of Covid 19 all flights were cancelled . I contact to Air India and they suggest me, they will full refund me & the process will take 4-6 weeks from 28 Sept 2020.                 i booked a flight of air india from kullu to delhi, timing of flight was 10:20 am on 20 january 202.As i was travelling from manali to kullu i reached at 9:40 for checkin.the plane which was flying from kullu to delhi just arrived at kullu airport but the staff member said they closed the checkin at 9:35am.i requested them with my full heart but they behaved in a very rude manner even the statuon master did not responded on time and they lengthen my waiting period and finaly at 10 they said you r late and now you cant board the plane.I am a doctor in government sector and it was very urgent for me to reach delhi as i have to sit in opd on thursday, seeing the corona pandemic my services to humanity are my utmost priority.i request you to change the staff of air india at kullu airport si that the name of this maharaja airlines dont get blurred in costumer’s eye.

                  I had called and cancelled the my mother's International E-ticket from Delhi to New York round trip- Flight#- AI 101, Date- 17th Jul'20.by calling Air India on 7/9. I also did a follow up call on 7/10. I was told not to worry and that 100% amount will be refunded.
                  On 20th Oct Air India confirmed on email that refund of tickets has been initiated and to allow 3-4 weeks to get the amount credited to the cardholders account.
                  But until now the amount is not refunded to me. I request to solve the complaint on emergency basis. I am very much dissatisfied with the customer service. The customer care does not have an answer and advise case is in progress. Ecommerce team is not replying after multiple reminders.
                  It is $ 1054.37 refund amount which is a big amount of hard earned money stuck with no reply.
                  Please help and refund the amount soon.

                    Hi,
                    I booked tickets through Air India and cancelled the ticket within 24 hrs as per the policy. At that time I called and checked my credit card company and the payment was not processed at that time of cancellation.

                    Despite this, Air India went ahead even after knowing that the ticket is cancelled and debited my credit card. I also purchased another ticket with the same Air India for different date as I am traveling on family emergency and my credit card balance is maxed out. During this pandemic, we are going through many issues and only wish Air India to be more sensible and treat the passengers as their customers and provide better service.

                    My cancelled PNR is YQHTH and it is booked through Air India website.

                    I am expecting someone to please take care of this issue ASAP as I am badly in need of money at this juncture.

                          E-Ticket #[protected]
                          I bought a return ticket for my daughter from Toronto - Mumbai -Toronto
                          Due to Covid, I had to reschedule her flight to Mumbai - Air India did not give finalise return flight at that time as the flights were not open
                          I paid $200 USD to fly on the Vande Bharat flight
                          Now when I call to get her return ticket finalised, Air India declines any responsibility
                          Different customer support representatives are giving me different reasons, no one know anything about whether the ticket can be cancelled or rescheduled.
                          Everybody keeps tossing me back to Cheapoair (Booking #[protected]
                          I am extremely worried as my daughter is stuck in India with no confirmed Return ticket
                          Please Please have this resolved. I am open to options such as
                          1. schedule her return flight
                          2. Charge me the fare difference
                          3. Cancel and refund my money so I can buy from another airline

                          This is extremely frustrating as all airlines across the world are helping people get home during the pandemic and my own Air India is trying to make it all very very difficult for me

                            I cancelled my flight and requested a refund for two fares. I had a ticket which was refundable. For more than 6 months now, I have been chasing air India for a refund and each time we call customer care they say to write an email to the eCommerce email ID and to date, I have not received any response, I don't know what to do next and my money is stuck with them

                                  I have been asking for refund from many months and I only getting false promises that refund is initiated but I never got the refund

                                  I have booked a seat 11J against PNR HG7J6 number via https://callcenterpaymentsairindia.secure.force.com/payment?id=a022u000001fbtmAA... link after having a conversation with an customer care executive, but my seat was allocated to someone else when I checked it on 12th March 2020.                                     I had booked a flight on LTC Economy class
                                    through Air India mobile app withh PNR HVR1T and eticket no. no.[protected] from Bangalore to Guwahati scheduled to depart on 13th dec 2020. However it is seen that the Flight from Delhi to Guwahati was generated on Business class while Bangalore to Delhi is on Economy class even though the option Selected was Economy class.

                                    Due to the above reason the ticket was cancelled on the midnight of 12th and the executive concerned confirmed that the ticket being LTC, the same will be fully refunded.

                                    Inspite of repeated calls and mails to [protected]@airindia.in even after a month the refund was not even initiated. Further the period for refund changes with each executive attending the call, it varies from 15 working days to 41 working days. Nobody has provided the link or where I can see the exact refund policy.

                                    I am putting it here with a hope that an early resolution as he amount of Rs. 43077 receivable is high for me which I paid through credit card.

                                      Sir/Madam,
                                      I have booked flight on Feb 2020, after countless follow-ups I was given refund which was 50% less than my booking amount. The flight got cancelled by the airlines and I never cancelled it.

                                      Bit shock to see why the amount is not paid 100% despite no fault at my end. Details as under:

                                        I had a flight booked for 3rd May, 2020 from New Delhi to Pune. But, due to lockdown the flight was cancelled. I have tried to reach out to Air India team a number of times, but usually after listening to my query they ask me to hold for sometime which takes around 10-15 min and then they disconnect my call. Recently when i called on the ecommerce contact number - [protected], then the customer care executive asked me to call another helpdesk number for such queries so i asked her to help me with that number, she dictated me the same number on which i had called, when i tried to confront her for the same, she disconnected my call.
