    My Air India flight on 20th July, 2020 from CCU to BLR was cancelled by the airline.
    I tried claiming a refund through their website, email ID as well as their page on Twitter, but I have received no replies or refund from their side. It has been 4 months already. All of the other airlines have refunded their cancelled bookings.
    Their customer care is pathetic and doesn't reply to any of my mails or messages.

    Please help.

      Hi Team
      I have booked an air India tickets from India to London but due to.covid-19 flights got cancelled. I rescheduled the tickets to 14th April 2020 and that too got cancelled. Then I raised cancellation request and asked.for refunds since then amount is not refunded yet. my travel agent has raised refund request with airlines and following up on this. But they haven't provided the details yet.
      Could you please take this forward?

        I booked ticket PNR no YDC3Y which was auto cancelled as per Air India Customer Care.. I booked complaint after no response on call from Air India on www.airsewa.gov.in Query ID WQ467986 dated 15 Sep 20.. I got a main that amount will be refunded on 23 Sep 20 where as till date no amount is received and not getting proper response to my Query also..

          We have booked a flight from Frankfurt to Bangalore on 21st September, which was cancelled by AirIndia in the last moment. When we asked for the refund of the money they say ticket status is "flown". when the flight was cancelled How can the status be flown. I have called customer care many times without any proper response, they asked to me contact Frankfurt airport Manager, but no one in Frankfurt airport office picks up the call. Spoke to Escalation manager from customer care and he responded so irresponsibly asking me to just go to the airport and meet the airport manager. I am living 500kms away from Frankfurt airport. AirIndia has cancelled the flight, but now I have to travel 500kms to chase someone to get the money!! I called the ecommerce help desk manytimes without any proper response. Couple of times they kept me on hold for long-time and disconnected the call.

              Dear Sir / Madam,

              I, Chandan Arora, booked the ticket from Delhi to Chennai for 29.03.2020, ticket is attached below.
              I am waiting for refund of that ticket which got cancelled, but till now, amount of refund is not credited to my account.
              As per govt of India instructions, please refund the amount as early as possible.
              Unless, I will have to send the complaint to DGCA

                I am Ankush Sharma, i am from delhi, i have a request for you, actually i and my wife, we had 2 booked ticket of airindia from delhi to Dehradun, on 06 th of March, but airlines had cancelled this flight, and they said us that we will refund your money, but almost 8 month's are passed and airlines didn't return my money, also they are not replying my mail, and call, i hope you will help me,

                Request your kind intervention for my pending refund since November 2020 due to cancellation of flight by Air India. I am running from pillar to post for my refund without any resolution. Details are given below. As per booking agent, Air India has not refunded the amount hence they are not refunding to me. Air India is not sharing the status of my refund. Please help.

                As the flight was cancelled by the Airline hence I was promised for a full refund within 30 days.

                This ticket was booked by GOIBIBO with booking ID GOFLDAND62F[protected].

                They have requested Air India for the refund vide Refund application(RA) reference number RA [protected]/[protected]. Mail enclosed.

                    This is regarding booking of air ticket in airindia App today, 16oct 2020.
                    The ticket was booked for delhi to PortBlair and the payment was made through sbi net banking. An amount of rs. 18350/- was deducted from my bank account. The ticket was not booked and an error message was reported by the App.
                    The amount of rs. 18350/- was not returned by air india for the un-booked ticket.

                      Re.: Complaint Against Air India Regarding Not Refunding For Flight AI 191 Cancelled by Air India

                      Following are the chronological details of events and my requests to Air India for full refund as the flight has been cancelled by Air India.

                      1. On 23-24 July 020, I bought Mumbai-Newark Business class ticket with my Mastercard Credit card and paid US$ 1, 866.74
                      Details:
                      PNR: Z9D3T
                      Ticket no.:[protected]
                      Flight no.: AI 191
                      Sector: Mumbai – Newark
                      Date: 31 August 2020

                      2. On 11 August Air India informed me via e-mail, that the flight has been cancelled.

                      3. On 13 August 2020, I wrote an e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in asking them to provide full refund on my ticket as they have cancelled the flight.

                      4. On 18 August 2020, I wrote my first reminder e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in for the refund.

                      5. On 22 August 2020, I filled an online form on Air India’s Feedback section, asking for the full refund.

                      6. On 22 August 2020, Air India Feedback acknowledged the receipt of my e-mail.

                      7. On 22 August 2020, I wrote 2nd reminder to [protected]@airindia.in.

                      8. On 24 August 2020, Air India confirmed through another e-mail stating the fact that indeed the flight AI 191 Mumbai – Newark on 31 August 2020 stand cancelled.

                      9. On 24 August 2020, I wrote another e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in for the refund.

                      10. On 24 August 2020, Air India [protected]@airindia.in informed me that they will process my refund in 3-4 weeks. Following is their message:
                      “Dear Sir,

                      Greetings from Air India.

                      The massive rescheduling of flights due to situations arising out of COVID 19 restrictions by various countries, along with the nationwide Lockdown till 31May20, has resulted in an unprecedentedly huge volume of refund request via email
                      which have to be processed with the limited human resources at our disposal.

                      We understand your predicament and sincerely regret the inconvenience caused due to this unintentional delay.

                      Please be advised that refund of your ticket[protected] has been initiated as per applicable fare rule.

                      Kindly allow 3-4 weeks to get the amount credited to the cardholders account.

                      We thank you for your patience.
                      May we also take this opportunity to thank you for your support and understanding.

                      Ecommerce Helpdesk/VN”

                      11. On 24 August 2020, I acknowledged their above-mentioned message.

                      12. On 26 September 2020, I wrote another e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in informing them that now more than 4 weeks have passed and I have not received my refund. Please expedite.

                      13. On 01 October 2020, I wrote another e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in saying that now 5 weeks have passed and still no refund.

                      14. On 03 October 2020, I called Air India call center and asked them about the refund. They suggested that I should write to ecommerce and they gave me a case ID: 05273694.

                      15. On 03 October 2020, I again wrote to [protected]@airindia.in saying that now 6 weeks have passed and still no refund. Please respond and process refund immediately.

                      16. On 07 October 2020, I wrote 4th reminder to [protected]@airindia.in saying that now 6 weeks have passed and still no refund.

                      17. On 13 October 2020, I wrote 5th reminder about my refund.

                      18. On 13 October 2020, I wrote to Air India Feedback about the refund not received.

                      19. On 13 October 2020, Feedback acknowledged the receipt of my complaint.

                      In view of the above facts, please take action against Air India and get my money refunded ASAP.

                        I was trying to book the ticket for August 22, 2020, Delhi to Toronto using Air India mobile app. I had made the payment, money was deducted and it resulted in an error page. Because of which I had booked another ticket. There was no ticket generation in the app, but the ticket was mailed to the e-mail ID. Following are the details of the ticket:

                        I had called the Air India call centre and cancelled the ticket on 1 August 2020. But, I have not received the refund yet. I am in need of money and please refund it as soon as possible.

                          I was booked Air India ticket PNR No. YNR5Y, e-ticket No.[protected],[protected],[protected] and[protected] from Bagdogra to Dehradun through Booking Agency Udchalo on 05 Aug 2020 has been cancelled on 11 Aug 2020. Refund approximate Rs. 25000/- is not yet received till date. I have so many time contacted with Air India customer care and Udchalo customer care for requesting refund of cancelled ticket amount. I am also e-mailed to sale department ([protected]@airindia.in) of Air India Airlines for requesting of refund of cancelled ticket so many time, but i have not received any response from their side. In this connection i am attached copy of call history, booking ticket, cancelled ticket, e-mail for your kind perusal. Therefore, it is requested that kindly solve my complaint regarding non refund of amount of cancelled ticket from Air India Airlines. Now days I have facing huge financial hardship and I am ever grateful to you for this act of kindness.

                            I had booked air India tickets on 12/02/2020 for journey of 4 persons of my family for travel from Delhi to port Blair and return, having booking reference no.- Z86JG and E-tickets no. with the passengers names are as under-
                            1) Manasvi singh[protected]

                            3) Ronit singh[protected]
                            4) Shekhar singh[protected]
                            Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation the flight was cancelled by Air India. I have booked tickets for journey as per all India LTC provided by my PSU.

                            I want to focus your consent regarding cancellation charges, which was deducted from my ticket booking amount. As all we know that there is "Bharat bandh" on 22 March 2020, and my flight is on 23rd of March 2020 from Delhi so how can I travel on 22 March 2020 as I am from Rajasthan and I have to take train and then come to Delhi one day before and take flight which is on 23rd of March 2020. So, this is not possible at my end to take the flight.

                            Another point is that my return journey is on 28th of March 2020 which is in the lockdown period and as per the Air India no cancellation charges will deducted for the tickets during the lockdown period and it is very much clear that when i have not taken my flight on 23rd of march 2020 and how can i travel return journey. I have sent no. of e-mails but no positive response is received from air India regarding refund of my amount.

                            On 29/09/2020 Air India has refunded me 114704/- amount out of my total amount 139915/- after deducting 25211/- amount as cancellation charges.

                            I request you to look into the matter so that cancellation amount that is 25211/- can be paid to me. As I am a government employee and I have already deposited all my LTC amount to my department with panel interest. The detail of all passengers is attached with this attachment.

                              6अक्टूबर2020 को मेरी एयर इंडिया एयरलाइन के कस्टमर केयर से बात हुई वो बोले कि आप का टिकट नाम बदला जा सकता है आप सिटी ऑफिस चले जाइए वहां पे बदल के दे देंगे या अभी फुल रिफंड ले लीजिए मैं बोला मुझे फुल रिफंड नहीं चाहिए बस नाम बदलवा दो कस्टमर केयर वाले बोले हो जाएगा चिंता ना करे।
                              मुझे गलत जानकारी दी गई है एयर इंडिया कस्टमर केयर से
                              बताया गया कि आप नाम बदलवा सकते है इसके लिए आपको सिटी ऑफिस जाना होगा ।
                              और उनके कहने पे मैं सिटी ऑफिस गया वो लोग बताय ऐसी कोई पॉलिसी नहीं है कि आपका नाम बदल जाए।
                              और मैं वापस घर आया शाम में दोबारा कॉल किया कस्टमर केयर से मेरी बात हुई वो अपने सीनियर से बात कराए उसके बाद वो सीनियर मैडम अपने सीनियर से बात कराई जिनका नाम था शिवांक।
                              मुझे [protected]@airindia.in पे ईमेल करने को कहां गया मैंने कर भी दिया 6अक्टूबर को और उनका रिप्लाइ 7अक्टूबर को आया पर अभी तक कोई और रिप्लाइ नहीं आया ।
                              मेरे से फ्रॉड ( छल ) हुआ है
                              अतः आपसे निवेदन है कि या तो मेरा नाम बदल के दें मेरी टिकट या फुल रिफंड देना
                              और तो और कस्टमर केयर की हालत जानकारी देने की वजह से जो मेरा सिटी ऑफिस जाने आने में खर्च हुए
                              Rs4000/- वो भी दें

                                  My name is Prashant Maheshwari. On Saturday 3rd October 2020, I tried to book a air travel ticket from London to Mumbai from AirIndia.in for an amount to 687.52 GBP from my HSBC UK bank account.
                                  I tried to make a payment twice, but the transaction failed both the time and amount of 1375.04 GBP has been deducted from my account. However I can see that there are 2 transactions deducted from my HSBC bank account.

                                  Below is the transaction ID of the failed transaction for which money gets deducted for the same amount of 687.52 GBP from my HSBC UK bank account are
                                  1. AirIndia.in 514551
                                  and
                                  2. AirIndia.in 464603

                                  Request you return the deducted 1375.04 GBP amount and kindly iniiate refund to the bank for both the transactions as they failed during making payment.

                                    Ticket For The Air India Flight AI 638 For Journey Date 12/02/2020 Was Cancelled Before Travelling. It Has Been Over 10 Months But The Refund Has Not Been Made By The Airlines Even After Repeated Requests Via Mails And Call To Customer Care. The Airlines Initially Took Shelter Of Covid Related Instructions Towards Refunds While My Case Relates To Pre-Corona Period Not Even Affected By Any Lockdown Enforced Later And In Fact The Refund Should Logically Have Been Credited Even Before The Pandemic Affected Any Of Air Line Business. At Present, The Airlines Have Now Even Stopped Responding To Mails Or Any Support On Call.

                                      Myself Manoj Gupta booked Airindia flight ( Flight No. AI-696) From Varanasi - VNS to Mumbai - BOM at 13:25 hrs to 15:35 hrs on 27th September 2020.

                                      Flight booked in the name of Dilip Shravan Gupta, PNR no. Y9WS4, ticket no. 098-[protected] and seat No. 12D.

                                      I reached Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport at 11:45 but due to airport staff I got late because of his sanitisation process and other checking process I reached at boarding counter on 12:25 and stand in que waiting for our number when I got my number On boarding counter than staff is saying that going to closed boarding counter and he send me in office when I contact in office then office staff saying that wait and after 10 to 15 min he is saying we can not do anything and send me out side with his staff forcefully.

                                      First thing that this is not way to behave with customer and also try to understand customer problem why he is booking tatkal airplane ticket at price of 9, 356/-.
                                      You should help with customer.

                                      I requesting to air India manager please return my ticket amount of Rs.9, 356 return on my account or give me alternate ticket for my next trip.

                                      I sure that air India manager solve my problem and will give me sufficient satisfaction.

                                      This is my first experience with Air India which is gone worst. If Air India staff not solving my problem than I take other action.

                                        I had tried to book air india ticket from air india website from KOCHI to DIBRUGARH on 04/06/2020., And due to covid-19 pandemic, no flights were available on that day, so I booked my ticket with Vistara airlines for that day.
