Dear sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice the bitter experience my family and self faced due to the mismanagement of air india.

I have booked an air ticket (Tkt no. 098-[protected] & tkt no. 098-[protected] – pnr no. Yl53w (Ai) – mrs. Puthur shyama & mr. Chandrasekharan theeyancheri othayoth) for myself and my wife and for my son deepak c. Nambiar (Tkt no.098-[protected] - pnr :hkdct (Ai) for 06.09.2019 in flight ai-425 from new delhi igi airport to kannur intl. Airport. While issuing the ticket, the scheduled departure from igi airport mentioned was 11.00 am. Accordingly we planned to reach the airport by 9.30 am as per normal reporting time for domestic travel.

However, to our utter surprise at 08.32 am on 06.09.19 we have received an sms msg from air india that your flight will depart at 9.40 am. We were shocked to see the message as our residence is around 13 to 15 km away from the airport and we will not be able to reach the airport on time. Yet, we tried to reach the airport as early as possible but could reach the airport at around 9.25 am. However, we were not allowed to board the flight and were informed that the check-in is closed. We have asked the ticketing staffs to get us a ticket in alternate flights, as we have to attend a family programme on 7th sept, but they were not ready to so.

Due to the inept handling by the airline staff, we had to face lot of financial loss and mental agony due to unnecessary pressure by ai with the sudden change in schedule without proper information.

We request you to kindly look into the matter to avoid this kind of situation to any passenger in future. Please also adequately compensate for the financial loss incurred for travelling to airport and again to home and other expenses (Like food) and mental agony we had to suffer due to the sudden change of schedule without prior information.

    I traveled by air india flight ai-801 delhi to bengaluru on 25/09/2019.
    Meals was served partly in restricted plastic dona and plastic cutlery was used.
    Ai being government enterprise, do not follow the rules and no fines imposed for breaking rules of government is death of democracy and breaking the rules by the framers of rules.
    Surprisingly, the host came and apologized saying that they could not arrange the alternate items in some airports, an inexcusable excuse!

      I have called multiple times to the air india helpline number. To my surprise, they are not ready to pick call even once. All they are saying is we have a very long call list and your waiting time is 10 minutes. I have waited more than that, still no one is responding. And then this helpline number is not even toll-free. They are charging us and still not answering call after a long wait.

      I have booked my flight from delhi to perth and i wish to reschedule my return flight. I have mailed them also regarding the same. Still no response.

        I israiel tagaram and i booked a ticket at airindia website myself and i finished payment successfully then money also has been deducted from my account 26, 811 indian rupees but ticket not generated and also no confirmation ticket latter then i checked myself it’s canceled due to time limit then immediately i have contacted with airindia office by mail and no response then i contact with mobile at local office then they told me it would come back within 1 day but i have not received anything from airindia. Now i contacted again and again for refund but no response at least.
        I sincerely request you please help me and suggest me in this regard.

          I travelled by air india, delhi, to melbourne on the 16th of aug. 2019 flight ai 0308.

          I was at the security counter when i was asked to take all the metal out of my bag for checking and so i did. I had bought a number of metal bangles for my grandchildren without realizing the loss they were going to cause me in the long run.

          Along with the bangles, i had a little bit of gold jewelry which i had in 3 jewelers pouches. When the 3 of them came back i did not realize that one bag had been tampered with. I had bought 4 identical pairs of earrings from tanishq pune this time around for my 4 granddaughters... Which i had put right on top in one bag, in one piece of pink paper that jewelers give with the gold you buy.

          It was this little paper that was taken out and with it went the 4 pairs earrings. Fortunately, they were only worth around rs. 22, 500 in total at that time... But the fact is that they were stolen at an international airport.

          The lady who took the metal from me, was herself wearing a lot of bangles and jewelry... Much more than most people wear, at least while working. I wrote to [protected]@airindia.in on the 29th of august, however, despite my having re-forwarded it on sept 2nd, i have not heard a word from them.

          I asked them to please check the cctv cameras and catch the thief. As an indian myself i feel that it is a real shame that this happened to me and it can happen again to others/ international travelers who will carry back this kind of a shameful story. But air india does not seem to take complaints seriously. I have traveled overseas and within countries many times, but, this is the first time that i have had anything stolen from me.

          Also, my suitcase which was in great shape, and i had marked as fragile because i was carrying glassware in it, must have been mishandled because it came to me with 2 broken back wheels, making it unusable. Unfortunately, i did not think of taking a picture of the suitcase before disposing it off.

          I would like to have my jewelry either replaced, or refund given to me for the jewelry at the price that gold is selling at at the time of reimbursement. Also, for the suitcase, i would like the same done replace or reimburse.

            property irregularity report

            I am unsatisfied with the baggage handling situation of air india. I arrived in kathmandu 2 days ago, on 21 september, at 9.30 am. One of my bags had arrived - the bag with my art materials in. The bag with all my clothes, shoes, toiletries, medicine, mosquito repellent, sleeping bag etc did not arrive with me, because there was a power bank inside which had to be removed at delhi airport.             I took flight ai 0114 from birmingham to delhi on 18th september 2019 night. My seat no. Was 12 e.
            One check-in staff member, named sammy, with bald head, was seen misbehaving with so many passengers and was quarrelling over triffles. He even was passing racial comments, which is criminal offence.
            My case of check in was with his neighbouring counter, which had a nice person on duty. I had 2 kg over-weight in my hand bag, so i took out some items so as to bring it to the prescribed weight. After that, my hand bag was passed and was tagged by the peron-in-charge on duty. He even tried to interfere in my case, though sitting on the other counter and remained murmuring, sitting on the other counter.
            After all formalities, when i reached the entry-point of the plane, mr. Sammy was there on duty and came running to me, though i was at the last end of the queue and caught hold of my hand bag. He started insulting me and called me names. He went to the extent of passing racial comments. He said the bag was bigger in size, eventhough it had been tagged by the other staff member on duty. He commanded in a very filthy language either to throw away the bag in the dust bin or pay 145 pounds or he would cancel my ticket. He even took my boarding pass, which he never returned. Initially i became ready to pay 145 gbp and get rid of that man, but my son-in-law forbade to pay such a high amount. He made me to speak to some staff member on his mobile, so as to give my email address to receive the receipt of the amount thus paid.
            Later i took out some of my belongings which could be adjusted in a duty free shop bag. But out of hurry, i forgot many items, 1000 pounds and my medicine which i had to take during the flight, for which i had to suffer. I forgot to ask him his name, then some staff member helped me and brought him to the door of the plane and i asked him his name and spellings he told me his name as sammy.
            I have never met such a shabby person in my life. He had no consideration of my being a senior citizen.
            He usurped hand bags of many passengers, such as one lady travelling on seat no. 12d also.
            Later, in the plane, an eye-witness told me that as soon as i left my hand bag, he immediately pounced on it and took it away. How a greedy person he is!
            Now justice demands that he must pay me my 1000 pounds + compensation for other articles + double the amount as fine and written apology. He must not be given any duty dealing with public because he was nuisance to the public that night. This becomes duty of the air india to bring such employees to the book and do justice to its customers.
            Other wise i will be left with no option and will have to knock the door of the law.

              At the check-in counter, bangalore airport, while obtaining boarding pass for ai 802 to, which was already rescheduled from 11pm (21/09/2019) to 12:30am (00:30 hrs on 22/09/2019), i was permitted to take 2 hand baggages, despite bringing it to the notice of staff issuing the boarding pass, when asked.
              However, at the boarding gate number 1, i was forcefully stopped by the deputed airindia staff saying that i’m carrying excess handbags and won’t be permitted to board. Despite having swiped my boarding pass, i was asked to stand aside.

              Mr. T. Sreeharibabu, who claimed to be the on duty manager tried to snatch away boarding pass from my pocket and demanded rs. 5050 for the excess baggage on the very sight of it without even weighing in actual. He was very rude, arrogant and discourteous. He told me to give him the demanded amount to let me board the aircraft. He panicked and built pressure on me by saying that i will be deplaned if the demanded money is not paid to him instantly.

              When i insisted upon proper receipt and weight of the excessive baggage, he got infuriated and started taunting me by saying that he will “teach me a lesson” by doing everything legally then. After this, he along with 2 more staff members, took away my hand luggages to the nearby weighing machine where they forced me to weigh my laptop bag as well along with the hand baggage. Sreeharibabu, made a bill of rs. 8400 for the excessive baggage, and threatened me that he will ask the flight captain to take off without me if i don’t pay at that moment. I was left with no other option and was forced to pay the demanded amount of rs. 8400.

              I was harassed, cheated and extorted ransom at boarding gate by t. Sreeharibabu by building unnecessary pressure/stressful situation. It was a very horrible experience due to unprofessional and unethical conduct from a government airlines staff.

              I hopefully expect the air india to take script punitive actions against such corrupt and incorrigible staff.

                I purchase a ticket from bangkok to delhi onwards to mumbai and return to bangkok from mumbai. When i arrive in delhi an error from immigration made my visa invalid and despite the fact that a new visa was issued the next day i was sent back to bkk/thailand. I was told by india taff that i should come back in the evening and a would get a seat back to delhi. When i arrive next day then i was told that i had to buy a new ticket to delhi, i was quite upset as i was not told that i had to pay for another ticket, due to the fact that i had no other option i was forced to buy a new ticket. It is air india duty to check all passangers if they have a valid visa or not and if they had done their job this would not happend. When i was going back to bangkok from mumbai, i was again told at the time of checking in to the flight at the airport that i had to buy a new ticket as air india had taken my ticket against the return flight from delhi to bangkok, i was shocked but again all other flight was the night was not available and i was forced to by a new ticket. I find this horrible and unacceptable and i ask for full refund of all my expenses. I didnt get my suitcase for two days when i was returned to bangkok and i had extra hotel expenses in bangkok and assam as i had prepaid my hotel in delhi and assam, i will set up a full overview of these expenses. I will never fly air india again as there are no people that take responsibility and have authority to resolve the issues

                  didn't received my e-ticket yet, despite of booking online from airindia website

                  Yesterday, i have booked a non stop flight ticket online from airindia website as a guest user for 24 oct 2019 from mumbai to delhi.
                  But after final payment also, i have not received my e-ticket yet on mentioned email provided while booking.

                  I am fedup of trying to reach customer care support many times, but it is busy all the time. And not also any response get from email yet.

                  I had to board ai flight on 21 09 19. I was traveling to bangalore via delhi. My pnr was jje8e. I reached chandigarh airport before time at 05 00 hrs. Before departure of flight.. Ai 444, there was no air india staff at airport to facilitate passenger. Suddenly 45 min before, i was intimated by one air india staff that my flight has been merged with flight ai 464 which was to depart at 1240 hrs. My question to air india airlines is why i was not messaged or called before 3 hrs of departure of flight.
                  The consequences was that i had to return to hotel again by uber and again i had to come to airport at 1100 hrs. I had already checked out the hotel in morning.. For the same i had to pay hotel 1000 for two hrs and extra rs 6000 for uber taxi... Besides i faced a lot of trouble in the morning b which i had some urgent work in bangalore in evening. The same would have been avoided i would have intimated earlier. I am defence officer.
                  This is humiliating to a defence personal.
                  I strongly condemn this attitude of air india management. Also i ask to reimburse rs. 1600 rs which i had to bear due to the above said problem. My account no for the bank is sbi [protected]

                    At the time of boarding pass enquiring you staff saying boarding gate closed as my flight time 11:15 from mumbai to jaipur at i reached at bording window 10:35. I request your staff again and again to provide boarding pass or adjust my ticket for next flight. He denied and not give any suggestions. I am very dissatisfied your service and never book flight in future and feedback given our company to never provide air india ticket to any employees.
                    In this type of customer service you never creat a big milestones. Indigo customer service is more better as comparatively yours in my boarding situations scenario. My flight missed but i remember this scenario in future to book any other flight booking and share my experience to my colleagues and families.

                      I had booked flight ticket to Singapore from Delhi & back, Booking Reference No. is JG6K7. I have availed onward journey & is trying to cancel the return journey. But I am unable to do so because I am not allowed to cancel online. I tried many times to contact AI Customer Care No. [protected]. After spending many hours, I could get AI person to listen to my problem of cancellation. Finally he told me that the concerned Deptt. personnel are very busy & don't have time to listen to my problem. He promised to arrange a call back to solve my problem. But about 8 hours have passed, I didn't get call back. Again I tried to reach AI Customer Care but could not contact in spite of holding phone for 20 minutes. The system of contacting AI Customer Care is a nightmare for customers. I request to please arrange to cancel return journey for both persons urgently.

                        Sir i have done a transaction for LTC flight ticket from Bangalore to Kolkata and back on AIR INDIA website via with passenger name ABHRAJIT RAY for the date 3RD OCT -10TH OCT 2019. The ticket price money 38288 has been deducted from my SBI bank and transaction is completed but ticket is not get confirmed and no pnr is generated.

                        My upi transaction id and Google transaction id have been attached in the screenshot.

                        I have been trying to to contact Air India but to no avail. Please look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible. Thank you.

                          An air india flight no. Ai 130 from lhr to bom on 15/09/2019 was scheduled at 1.15pm, then changed at the time of web checking at 3.55 pm, again changed to 2.30pm!!! More harraement as below.
                          There was total chaos at airindia counter at heathrow airport.. No proper guidance was available till 5.00 pm... Reason for cancellation of flight was given "rain in mumbai"!! And flight has not come from india!!! Ridiculous!!! Upon inquiry found that wheather in mumbai on 15/09/2019 was very much good!!!
                          After 5.00 pm i was told that you wiill have to take my baggages back and my flight will be tommorrow, means on 16/09/2019 and time will be approximately 7.00 am!!, proper confirmation will be givenafterwards!!! A senior wheel chair passenger like me was dissappointed... I asked about my rights under eu convention and asked for proper reply in writing but air india officials were not able to reply properly.. I asked to all persons at the counter including mr. Rakesh paul / mr. Sylvester/and ana marin... Found harrased and decided to go to one of my relatives place by cab... At the time of writing this i wish to mention my feedback which was sent earlier - no. Wb-ilhr[protected]

                            Had an important conference in delhi for which heavy amount was paid, to attend on 15/09/2019 scheduled between 9:00am -3:00pm. I booked ai flight 2964 scheduled to fly at 6:55am. The flight was delayed so we requested the staff to accommodate us in anotherai flight 436 which was ready to take off and had seats available, so that we can attend it on time. The staff did not support us at all and was very rude. We faced mental harassment and also missed the important conference sir to non cooperation of the staff. Please take out complaint seriously.

                              We had booked ticket to fly from kolhapur to hyderabad vide ticket no.[protected] for flight no. Ai 9876 dated 14.09.2019 for departure time at 15:15 and in this regard we had reached at the airport in time but we were refuged for boarding and flight was taken off before 14 minutes i. E. At 15:01 hrs. Due to which my daughter missed her exam at hyderabad.

                              So you are requested; kindly arrange to return our fare at the earliest.

                              I booked a ticket from Air India website after putting all the details I choose the payment option through UPI. The money got debited but the ticket was not generated. I mailed the problem to their customer care and even spoke to them but has not yet received any reply for mail not my refund. Kindly look forward to my problem.

                                I made an air india booking on 26th of august 2019 from sharjah via air india website. During my booking first time payment has been deducted from my hsbc card but ticket not generated and i got also deduction massage from bank. Afterwards i have tried 2nd time and it was successful with pnr y0twy.
                                Now bank is included both the payment of aed 5805 twice into my current statement as air india claimed both the payments. So bank can not help me without air india instruction.

                                In last two weeks i made a several mails to ecommerce, almost one mail per day because there is no telephonic communication way from uae. I have tried to call almost all numbers presented in air india website but not successful to get the connection to ecommerce. After almost 10 days from booking (6th sept) from ecommerce accepting about failed transaction (Attached at the end below) and asking bank statement from my side. I have forwarded immediately and afterwards almost everyday i have sent one mail. I have tried to connect the air india office in sharjah and dubai but they replied they also dont have any direct communication with ecommerce or air india. So after 6th sept there is no communication mail from ecommerce.

                                I dont know what should i do and i am feeling hopeless with air india booking this time. Even i dont know i will get my money back or not. Please help me if possible. The email id used during the booking is [protected]@gmail.com. Thanking you.

                                  I booked The following :
                                  Mumbai- Kolkata - 16 Sep 0605 flight
                                  Kolkata - Guwahati - 16 Sep 1730 flight

                                  The amount of Rs 17179.00 was paid via UPI Bhim, i havent got the confirmation email or message for the bookings yet.
                                  The Payment snapshot is enclosed herewith.
                                  Please resolve it asap.

[protected]@aircraftmail.com to contact [protected] regarding job opening in air india for bengaluru airport ticketing staff, without interview got selected and pay registration fee rs. 380 and i'll receive a letter from the following address:
                                    Ashish yadav, executive, air india limited. Cabin no. 8, 2nd floor air india head office, air india building, marine drive, nariman point mumbai 40002
