I had booked a business class ticket for mumbai - hong kong - mumbai. My travel details are as under:

It was one of the most horrible travel experience i had faced till date. Following problems was faced by me:

1. The flight from mumbai to hong kong was delayed by more than 6 hours and there was no communication in the form of sms/ calls/ email from the airlines about the delay. When i reached airport at 6.15 pm i. E. 1.5 hours before flight departure, i was informed at the counter that the flight is delayed by 5 hours. Why i asked the ticket counter executive, he informed that the information was received an hour ago and the customer care is responsible for sharing the information. Just to highlight, i received a communication for delay from airline around 7.10 pm.

2. I had an important business meeting next day at 10.00 am hong kong time and i requested them for a earlier flight. After hours of argument and waiting at the ticket counter, they told me that they can try board me on the cathay pacific flight which was a direct flight at 1.10 am and would reach near my meeting time. But that offer came with a condition that i need to wait till 10.15 pm and post that only they can confirm. I was waiting till 10.15 pm and when i reached out to the ticket counter, they asked me to wait for some more time. Around 11.30 pm they informed me that they can transfer me to cathay pacific (Their ticket window was about to close at 12 mid night). We rushed for the ticket issuance, etc. But after 10 mins they informed me that i cant travel cathay pacific so i need to travel air india. I had no other option but to say yes to them. Anyhow, i rushed to the gate as it was only 45 minutes for flight departure and i need to go through immigration, security, etc.

3. When i reached boarding gate, they informed that flight is further delayed and they did not display the departure time also. Finally the flight departed around 2.00 am and thanks to air india i reached around 1.30 p hong kong time and i missed my important business meeting and my entire schedule was disturbed.

4. To my surprise when i saw the flight actual departure for last couple of days, i noticed that flight was always late by 5-6 hours. If the flight is always delayed, why does not the airline change the flight timing only. Would like to highlight one more thing here that i got 3 different reason for flight delay a) bad weather at delhi airport; b) bad weather at mumbai airport and c) incoming flight was late.

5. The horrible experience did not end here. The return flight was also delayed by more than 3 hours and this time also there was no communication from airline either in the form of sms/ calls/ email. This time also the reason given to me was that they came to know an hour ago about the flight delay and hence did not update the passengers.

6. Would like to highlight few things in the airlines also. Both time the in-house entertainment system was not working. Either the volume was not there/ the wired device was not working. There was no amenity kit for the hong kong mumbai sector flight.

I would like to know is this expected from the national carrier. A business class passenger pays 3-4 times the economy class fare and face this type of problems. This i really pathetic. I would never travel with the air india in future and would ask others also not to travel with air india after this horrifying experience.

I would like to have a monetary compensation for all this problem. I like to make a claim of 25% of the ticket amount (Ticket cost was rs. 91, 335).

I have marked several emails and made 100 of calls but these shameless guys don't revert or pick the call

      They have delayed the flight by 2+ plus hours and keep changing the gates and extending the time further. No proper spoc to answer customers, reluctant announcement to have breakfast at bangalore. This is regarding hyd to bangalore flight. Flight ai978 and also they make you to go through check in process of international terminal causing lot more pain and trouble. Please payback me the flight charges that you have delayed for and also the additional loss i have made because of the delay i. E total of rs.15, 000/-

        Dear complaint cell,

        Today i am supposed to travel by air india from delhi to vadodara on flight ai 0819 on date 30 aug 2019 at 17:50.

        I have cleared my security check and when i reached to gate at 30a, i was not allowed to enter in flight.

        Your executive said you need to carry complete a4 size print, though i have valid boarding pass. Kindly find it in attachment which shows security passed before the sufficient time. They said me to go back and take boarding pass from the office. I have soft copy of a4 size print. Normally, in other flights, we just need to bring boarding pass, not a4 size print. I have taken this type of print first time for air india, earlier i used to collect boarding pass from airport. I have paid the money and i have my identity card, i just don't have that a4 size print, still i have the boarding pass with security stamped on it. I have travelled many time with air india and going to become your potential frequent flyer for long journey for my business purpose.

        At that time, your executive behave with me extreme rudely in front of other passenger. I was treated like i have made a crime and they didn't assist me. They misguide me to go back to air india counter and security stopped me and said you need to come with air india staff.in between my flight was taken off.

        To reach vadodara for me, it was extremely important to me for my busines. Later on, your staff didn't help me any further and denied me to adjust in another flight, though i was ready to go at ahmedabad. I called customer care and from that place also, i didn't get any satisfactory answer.

        I have to book my ticket on 31 aug, 2019 in the early morning 5 am through indigo airlines which cost me 5480 rs, kindly find it in attachment.

        I have to suffer a lot due to such kind of shameful activity by air india staff which doesn't know even manner to speak with customer.

        I request you to reimburse me the extra booking cost 5480 rs, though this amount is very less as per my insult, inconvenience and harassment. I have registered complaint at airport, kindly find it in attachment. Register no-13909.

My joining date asking 03 september my jobs applications selected then air india pay rs.830 till today online he told me evenings offer get jn mail after told my documents are verfied after pay rs 5500 for 15 dyas and its refundable in ist month salary so i had paid rs5500via paytm and he sais to mnr fee processing 8500 rupee i paid he is telling dear now again pay id processing fee am lost my 830+5500+8500 totally 14, 830 i have attached paytm screen shot

            I tried purchasing del-hyd, economy class air ticket on 28th august 2019 for a one way ticket on 14th september 2019.

            I used mobile air india to make my purchase, upon entering all data and selecting pay by upi i was directed on another billdesk website. Here i gave my upi id to make the purchase using google pay. However, the fare got deducted from my account but no confirmation mail received. Sent mails to ecommerce and mobile mail ids asking for refund but no response. I want a refund as i need to buy another ticket.

              On the 10th august 2019, i (Ramakrishnan srinivasan) had to approach an available flight from bengaluru to trivandrum following my father's death intimation. The fare i had to pay is a total of irs. 76, 372 (Rs. 19093 x 4 pax). Such tariff is (4 times higher than the peak travel fares) especially from a government operated airline is found to have an injustice and unfair practice towards consumers like us.

              I request this case to be reviewed in a fair manner and consider refunding the excess amount collected.

                Air india flight ai481 from bhopal to pune departed around 45 minutes from its scheduled time which was 10:45 am without any information due to which i and 2 more passengers missed the flight.
                When i reached counter it was closed, and no one from air india staff was there to attend passengers.
                After some time few staff members from air india came to attend us at around 10:15 and said that flight departed.
                There were 2 more people present with me who missed their flight just because incorrect information was provided on all airport screens about the flight and we all were shocked.
                Screens which was suppose to give correct information about flight were showing departure time 10:45 am at 10:15 am, while flight was already departed. Also after a lot of efforts and discussions we met with airport manager, i requested him to help but he refused very rudely saying "mai aapki kuch help nahi kar sakta.. Aap complaint kar do meri".
                One of the staff member said "captain jaldi aa gaya tha to jaldi depart h gayi".
                Even one staff member misbehaved with my relative and said "5 baje se aa ke baith jao airport pe.. Humko kya karna".
                I have taken screenshot of air india website which was showing flight scheduled departure time 11:10 am in the morning and suddenly after some time it showed departure time 10:15 am.
                Also i have taken screenshot of airport screens which were showing std 10:45 and status "departed" at 10:34 am.
                I requested airport manager to accommodate us in tomorrow's flight but he clearly refused to help as if he was not at all interested in listening our issue.
                We missed our flight just because of incorrect information provided on website, display screens and air india staff and now we are struggling to get our refund back.

                  Our ticket pnr number is z59xz and we were scheduled to fly for pune from raja bhoj international airport, bhopal through flight ai - 481. This flight lives bhopal at 10.45am for pune. However today (29th aug'2019) this flight left bhopal at 10.00am, which is 45 minutes before the scheduled time.

                  There was no information, no announcement in this regard for the passenger. We had urgent meeting at pune which we missed because of this act. Its a negligence on part of air india with the passenger. We regularly fly with air india.

                  There was no support from the station manager of airport in this regard for us.

                  Considering above we request for full refund of the ticket from your end.

                    • i had booked a flight from mumbai to pantnagar via dehradun for 16th august’2019.
                    • after reaching the dehradun airport and waiting for 5 hours, i was informed that flight air india flight ai9824 is cancelled due to operational reasons.
                    • it was told to me on 16th august that the ticket refund will reach my account within 10 working day.
                    • today when i called customer care of air india, firstly they made me wait for 45 minutes and then asked me to connect with travel agency. Without giving any clarification the customer care agent disconnected the call.
                    • my ticket number[protected] and pnr is z0q5h. Kindly refund my ticket charges at the earliest.

                      I traveled from madrid to gauhati via frankfurt and delhi. I had to collect my checked-in baggage in delhi for customs clearance and was asked by air india personal to check-in in delhi in flight no. Ai891 bound to guwahati on 27th august, 2019. One of my checked-in baggage bearing bag tag no. Lh663461 is missing. I had checked-in at around 10:30 hrs for a flight with departure time of 16:10 hrs, and air india's representative says that my luggage was received lately. I have registered a complaint at the air india ground staff at gauhati with file reference no. "gauai12062". I have been checking in online worldtracer in air india site, and it still says "tracing continues. Check back later". I have tried to contact the air india personals at gauhati airport several times via phone, and they say they don't have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the missing bag, and will inform me later. I have very important documents and materials in the missing bag. I am desperately waiting for the missing bag.

                        I was travelling yesterday from delhi to mumbai they told me because of thr fact that i forgot my power bank in main luggage it will be deposited to a different flight tge next day and will reach my exact home address. I signed the acceptance and everything.

                        When i reached mumbai these guys told me its not our responsibility to drop your luggage at home rather you have to collect it from the airport.

                        I have been chasing you guys from past 2 days but noone even knows where the luggage is forget about collecting and dropping luggage.

                        How am i supposed to know where the hell my luggage is and and when will i receive that.

                        I need a response asap before i escalate the matter.

                          I booked tickets of air india flight from gaya to delhi for my mom and dad.. On dated 27/08/2019
                          Boarding time of flight was around 12:05 a. M.

                          My concern is that they delayed flight by 5hours and taking no responsibility of their passenger
                          I came to the airport to drop my mom and dad and there i got the news that flight is dalay by 5hours
                          My dad is ill at that time i requested them to provide at least a rest room for my dad bt ther are just simply saying that they are not responsible for that

                          And they just left us their and don't help us in anyway
                          I cme to tha airport from 65kms away and i also have to back to my home and that's why i don't have any other choice so i left my mom and dad inside the airport

                          I just want to say they cheated us and they informed through message approx one nd half hour before the previous flight time through message

                          They don't taking responsibilities of their passenger.

                          I request consumer forum to take big action on them for being so irreresponsible with their passengers..

                            I purchased two tickets for travel by air india with travel dates 12th sept 2019 and 13th sept 2019. Tickets were purchased through irctc web site online. Pnr - ymk0f and hrs1h. On personal reasons, i had to cancel the tickets, for which i approached air india toll free number [protected] on 14.08.2019. The lady officer who attended the call, after due cross verifications, promptly cancelled both the tickets and asked me to contact the agency for eligible refund. Unfortunately, i did not receive any sms or e mail from air india informing me the cancellation. After waiting for 10 days for refund from irctc, i contacted irctc when i was informed that the irctc is not aware of the cancellation as it has not been notified to them. Irctc asked me to make available the communication from air india cancelling the tickets. Thereupon on 24th night i again contacted air india in toll free number [protected]. Three officials on different occasions heard my point regarding non receipt of communication from air india confirming cancellation. Each one of them left the dialogue half way. To cut short the story, i am yet to get the required sms or e mail from air india to take up the matter with irctc. Please do the needful to send the communication. My mobile number is [protected] and my e mail id is [protected]@gmail.com. It is pertinent to point out that the air india web site shows that these two tickets stand cancelled. Regards.                               Sir i was booking ticket from patna to delhi for 30th of September on the name of shubham raj.
                              The payment of Rs. 2546 was deducted but i didn't got my tickets.
                              This experience is very bad for me & may be i will not suggest my family members to book ever again on Air India.
                              So please refund my money as soon as possible because i have to book a ticket again & i am not a business man i am a student so i have some limits for my monthly use.

                                While travelling from dubai to mumbai on flight ai-984 on 22nd august 2019, the locks of our 2 bags were purposefully broken and missing. Such mishandling is not accepted from a valuable airline. This means the ground staff are not trustworthy. How can one travel again with such a airline where there is no security of passengers baggages. We were travelling with an infant with her day to day required important things, loss of which would create so much issues for us.

                                  I had purchased ticket for travel by ai from kolkata to kabul via new delhi on the 24th of august 2019. Ticket number[protected] / hhlj4. On reaching the kolkataairport i was advised that the flight from delhi to kabul has been cancelled. This was never informed to me. The delhi official s refused to cooperate and advised me to arrange for the onward journey by myself. They had never bothered to inform me in advance in which case i could have made alternative arrangements.
                                  Of course full refund has been promised.

                                    1. I received the message from air india that flight 850 from pune to delhi on 24 jun 2019 has been cancelled due to operational reasons

                                    2. Despite passage of over 2 months i have not received the amount spent on booking the tickets nor any intimation that any action has been taken by air india to process the same.

                                    3. I am attaching copies of the tickets (02 tickets) as well as copy of the email intimating me the cancellation

                                    Ticket no 1 web references aibe [protected] booking reference ypvjk (Ai) booked on 10 jun 19 for mr parth bhatia for rs 5506/-

                                    Ticket no 2 web reference aibe [protected] booking eference ypty8 (Ai) booked on 10 jun 2019 for mr kil bhatia and ms salunke ni bhatia for rs 16, 576/-

                                    4. Kindly refund the same at the earliest

                                      I have taken a flight from from delhi to mumbai on 28.07.2019. At the time of collection of baggage, i found that one of my check-in baggage was broken. I went to the baggage service counter and registered a complaint under reference number bomai85548/28jul19/0802gmt. It was informed that in 2-3 days somebody will contact me for the damaged baggage but even after 25 days nobody has contacted me. I tried to call on provided numbers i. E[protected],[protected], 66858107 but my all calls went unanswered. I also sent a email to baggage service department
                                      - bomapt. [protected]@airindia.in on 13.08.2019 & to nodal officer at [protected]@airindia.in on 14.08.2019 but nobody responded to the same.

                                      Such a pathetic response was never expected from such a big airline. Now i feel that i have done a mistake by booking air india flight.

                                        On aug 18, 2019, my wife and i flew ai 335 bangkok to new delhi. The flight was an hour delayed. So, it left about 22:30. After a week-long seminar, i was looking forward to getting some sleep hours in as the arrival was approx 02:00 early in the morning and i had to report back to work the next day. I was a little surprised and disappointed that there was no entertainment system on board at all, considering we were flying business class. But my disappointment turned to shock as i proceeded to recline my chair. I noticed a white tape stuck over a hole, where a button should have been. Complaining to the steward got me an apology only!!! I believe under no circumstance can an airline deliberately offer a passenger a broken seat, regardless of the class of travel. This is outright fraud if you have not taken the consent of the passenger first. Secondly, since there was no entertainment system onboard, passengers are expected to quietly sleep the distance (Which all passengers around me dutifully did), so sitting upright under such conditions is outright torture. My wife did not sleep well as well as i kept falling on to her in my state of extreme exhaustion-induced snatches of sleep. The airline owes us both an apology, a full refund and then some if they would like to preserve a faithful frequent flying passenger of the last 25 years.

                                        While travelling AI 126, lm on 21 aug19 seat no. 34 b, arm rest cover not there. Exposed to electrical wires while resting my arm. No response from in-flight attendance
