Airtel company is biggest cheating company, i reacharged in my indian bank app for data pack of 223 rupees, it's benefit is 1.75gb 2g + unlimited, 19th july 2016 is the expired date, but tht day balance deducted of 200 rupees for extra data usage, i dnt knw, how it is extra usage it's data pack is unlimited. i attached my msg screen shot.

    Hi,

    I am using [protected] with airtel from past 3yrs.

    After receiving a call from airtel call centre on 20th june 2016, i
    Have applied for a new connection and requested for airtel pre-paid to
    Airtel postpaid, through airtel executive, and shared my documents,
    Rent agreement and voter id card copy, 2photos and rs500.

    After many follow ups and calls and with the help o[censored]r executive
    Gaurav, [protected] is activated on 6th july 2016, i. E. After 14days.

    Also, i was then called on 7th july and told that i won't be getting
    Rs499 benefits, which are as follows:
    1. 8packs, (4*75=300 std mins and 4*100= 400local mins) 700mins
    2. 1gb 3g internet and 2g unlimited after 3g finishes.
    3. 300 sms
    4. Calls rates after completion of calling mins, 30p local and 50p std.

    Also, i was offered rs375 plan, which seems fine to me except internet
    Plan, with following benefits:
    1. 600 std/local mins
    2. 300 sms
    3. Calls rates after completion of calling mins, 30p local and 50p std.
    4. 1gb 3g data, no 2g.

    I asked ur personnel to update me on this as i was proposed something
    Else and now i am being given different.

    I have received two calls for the same on 8th and 9th july. Each time
    The person said he will take 24hrs to update and it will be done
    Within 24hrs for sure.

    But nobody is contacting. I am also trying to reach gaurav, but he is
    No more responding.

    After being fed up of all i applied to port my number, then when i
    Explained the same to the executive, he also did not get back to me
    And said i am escalating your issue. But nobody finds solution.

    I have already re-filed complaint on consumercomplaints.In.

    On 18th july 2016, i had a call with shubham arora, supervisor, he gave me reference number for further follow ups and told me that i will receive a call in 24hrs. Today i have called for asking the status on airtel centre and received a reply that we wont return ur money. U have to re-apply and do the whole process again.

    I want strict action against airtel and feel really bad the way airtel is treating me.

      In airtel website, they have that "chokkampudur, sboa school" as their coverage area. i requested for a new connection. got a call from airtel customer care, he asked the zipcode. after a minute he replied there is no feasibility in my area. i can't understand, why they have mentioned like this, if they didn't have feasibility for a new connection.

      I mailed about this issue, but no response from them.

          Dear airtel people,
          I am having issues with the airtel sim card where there is full tower but neither am i able to make calls nor able to receive any calls.
          I had gone to the airtel office about 10 days back, and they told me that there must be some issues with the simcard, hence change the sim. I changed the sim immediately, however, the problem persisted.
          Then i called up the customer care service at 121, and launched a complaint. They assured me that it will get resolved in 24 hours. But nothing happened.
          I again called back to the customer care center and they again launched my complaint saying this is a technical issue and will be resolved in 3 days.

          Fortunately, i made one call after 2 days of complaint, and now again the same problem persists. Neither am i getting any calls nor am i able to make any calls.

          Keeping a customer with such problem where he is unable to contact people in today's world is nothing less than crime.

          Is there any authority who can take any strict actions against such big corporates?

            Recently I wanted to switch my number [protected] from prepaid to postpaid. I logged into Airtel's website and filled in the online form. An Airtel executive visited me to collect the photo and I was asked to send id documents on WhatsApp, which I promptly did. The executive collected Rs. 250/- and gave me the receipt and the replacement sim card, which was supposed to activate within the next 72 hours. He also wrote a number of his manager/boss/senior called Mr. Anil ([protected]). He asked me to contact Mr. Anil in the case of any issues.

            I waited for the next 1 day, and since it was a Saturday and Sunday, I waited for another 2 days. After that, I had been regularly been calling Mr.Anil and he gives me one of the following responses:

            1) I am out right now. I will reach office in 2 hours and call back (never called back).
            2) I will find out and tell you tomorrow. (never calls back)

            Now today, I was really angry with the delay (72 hours converted into almost 2 weeks). I called him, and he said that he is outside and would call me in 2 hours. I waited. After two hours, I called him twice and he didn't lift the call. Post that his phone came busy. And after that again he didn't lift the call.
            I messaged him that I won't stop calling you. He blocked my number.

            This is highly unprofessional and fraud on the part of Airtel executives. I want strict action to be taken against this.

              Worse experience with airtel 2nd time.
              They did same thing again after 8-10 months.
              Today a executive called me after applying a broadband connection 7 days before and said connection can't be possible at my location. This is my second time in a year. Both the time when i applied for a broadband connection they first checked and said connection is available at my location. After payment and documentation they said connection is not available at my location.
              They are showing that company has a open network and don't hide anything from customers but reality is just opposite of it. They are just making their customers fool and grabbing their money. If company don't have service available in the location then why don't they inform before applying new connection. Every time they first take payment from customer then said service is not available. What rubbish??

              Same thing they did 8-10 month before. And i had to followed up regularly for more than a month to get my money back.

                I have been using airtel iptv service from last couple of years. I already have digital tv from tatasky, but since since i work in late shifts, i installed iptv purposely to watch my favourite channels as per my convince. One fine day i got a call claiming from airtel that they are going to discontinue iptv services soon and we have choice to take airtel digital tv in place of iptv (Which i refused for obvious reasons). The digital tv even with recording facility does not replace the functionality of iptv.

                Till now there is no such information displayed on iptv, nor any written communication is received from airtel about discontinuation of iptv.

                I expected from professional company like airtel to at least communicate aptly and give equal or better option if they are actually discontinuing iptv

                My suggestion to airtel is to provide unlimited data on broadband and subscription to online tv programs so that i can watch programs in odd hours as i do in iptv

                    I had initiated a recharge for docomo no. For rs. 109 but the recharge dint get credited but money got deducted from my bank account the reference no. For my transaction is thank you for using state bank internet banking. Your transaction ref no ig0cjgpvr1 for rs.109 on 19-jul-16 11:34. Request you to solve the matter at the earliest. I have not got any transaction reference from airtel app.

                        Hello,

                        I am using Airtel postpaid services since 3 years. I have upgraded my monthly postpaid plan from 149 per month to 299 per month on 15 July 2016.

                        The customer care executive who suggested me this plan was said i will be getting 1.18GB 3G/4G data on this plan will get activated after 30 mins. But since then till now I can see 100% data has been consumed without switching on my celluer data on phone
                        .
                        How come 1.18GB gets consumed without even switching on my celluer data from my mobile???

                        I called customer care many times but didn't get acceptable response.

                        Please look into this and take proper actions so that they should not cheat their other customers. Really feeling very disappointed from this Airtel.

                            I purchased a number from changanassery, kerala on[protected]. It has not activated yet. So, we purchased another sim from kakkanad, kerala on[protected]Mobile: [protected]). Both the numbers has not been activated till date.
                            Whenever enquired from the shopkeepers, they say it will take another 24hrs. When enquired via airtel customer care, they say talk to the shop keeper. It's been almost a week, and still not activated.

                              Attention... Attention... Attention
                              Wrong practices by airtel. I had 2 airtel postpaid numbers under various plans, and now i want to tell everyone, do not buy airtel postpaid, rather prefer prepaid service as they can not charge you illegaly. (At least you can expect them not to). The ordeal i have to go thru with airtel is only made me question the type of company it is. Airtel is one of the most expensive service providers in the market and they claim to be the best (Open network stunt). The truth in reality is a lot different. Airtel charges you money for services that they promise to deliver. No doubt they have good network coverage but this does not mean that the services are also worth the money they charge you.

                              1) airtel sent me a bill that had an charge added to it twice, which was not even suppose to be there (Please see attached photos as proof). I had to make calls and send emails to get them off my bill which was amounting 200rs. This if overlooked would have made me pay the whole amount and this would have been non refundable. Later airtel official admitted their mistake and said sorry (Till next time).

                              2) one of my airtel number +91-70*99 was lost and switched off 3-4 months back. Till that time all bills were paid on that number. After that airtel never contacted me. Now after 4 months i receive one (1) sms from airtel on +91- 80*00 saying that i have an outstanding amount of some 800+ rs and need to pay the same. On receiving the same sms i got in touch with the airtel local office and asked them to close the account and tell me the final bill. Till date im waiting for the same. And now airtel have stopped my outgoing calls on the number+91-89*00 whose bill was paid. And not forcing me to quickly pay all bills without any discussion and then only they will start any service on my number. Despite a call on the customer care and confirmation that my number will be restarted soon, im still waiting for the same, when contacted the local office i was told that i need to pay the bills in full and it does not matter that i didn't received any bill during 4 months time. And as the alternate number given to the account is of airtel, that's y airtel has stoped the services to the number whose bills were paid. As its there will to give the service or not.

                              3) during this time i got a fresh bill for the number +91-89*00 and i paid it in 2 parts. 1st via paytm and 2nd via cash in local airtel office. After checking today on airtel app i found that the cash bill is not paid yet after 2 days. Now the fun part is that the local office is saying that they didn't receive any amount from me. Now i am wondering that for what reason i visited the airtel store, if not for paying my bill. On asking local airtel office told me that they do not have a operational cctv system, hence my claim can not be proven. As a standard practise airtel never gives a receipt and/or bill for cash bill payment. So now im at the mercy of the local office who is claiming that i only came to the store to chit-chat, as the same count not have been done via phone.

                              All the above statement are not from various people, it happened to just one person and im that person who is also writing this post. I am not related to any other network in any manner and any one want to verify can email me @ [protected]@gmail.com and get in touch.

                              To all airtel officials, prefer hiring well behaved and well spoken personnel in your regional/local offices as well. As they are equally important to hiring well trained and qualified personnel in your own head offices.

                                1. I would like to inform u that i opted for airtel dth since oct 14. After expiry of first plan with the guidance of airtel executive i have opted plan for value prime 24 hd for eleven month of rs 4842/-and got recharged on line. I was assured by airtel executive that this plan will be effective wef 05 oct 15 for 360 days (I. E. Up to oct 2016), where as it has been expired on 26 jun 16.
                                2. I enquired with airtel many executive but they are replying that your previous plan was in service because u have not contacted any executive to get it change. Sir, once i have recharged this second plan on line with the guidance of airtel executive why he has not changed the plan, neither i did not receive any message thru any means from airtel dtv. Thus this recharged money has been expired by 26 jun 16. Before expiry there was so many messages from airtel dtv thru sms, e-mail, by phone and in tv during shows.
                                3. I have observed that after gtg recharged, airtel dtv keep quite and keep on looting people in this faishon.
                                4. I talked so many executive but all are failed to answer my question. Airtel dtv also not refunding my balance amount to me where as i have asked thru all the means.
                                5. It is requested that please study my case and help me to get my this plan activated up to its full time frame (I. E. Up to oct/nov) or let dtv take back my eqpt by refunding its cost.

                                  I had requested, a few months back, an airtel hotspot dongle. I was intending to use it primarily to wfh when our home internet went out, and in the manipal hospital (My mother was in the icu then).

                                  I was told falsely by airtel that they had working services, and they sold me a wireless dongle under these false pretenses, for which i paid over rs 2300.

                                  From day 1, the service was poor, and when my mother eventually got discharged, i found that the dongle never worked from the home address where the airtel representative came to to sell me the dongle.

                                  When i complained, airtel dodged around for a while, before telling me that they had no tower in my area and the situation would be like that for 90 days!!!

                                  I told airtel to cancel my service immediately, and to return the money i paid for the dongle under false pretenses.

                                  They refused to return the money i paid for the dongle, and insist that i pay for services billed to and beyond the date i requested the cancellation.

                                  Now they call me every day, harass me, and use abusive language on the phone.

                                      I migrated from vodafone to airtel and my number is [protected].
                                      After the migration process was completed, i am ablw to make calls but incoming calls are not coming.
                                      The message to the caller is that the number is incorrect.
                                      I visited the airtel showroom in purasaiwalkam, chennai and they tried and could not resolve the problem.
                                      I called up customer care and they told me to re insert the sim in aeroplan mode and then change it to normal mode.
                                      This too had not worked.
                                      I have not got any further supprt on this and i my day to day activities are affected.
                                      Please address this issue at the earliest.
